Restaurant Lust in Traunstein

Here is a revised review based on your text: We were visiting Traunstein as a family on a Monday evening and chose the “Lust” restaurant because it was one of the few that was open on Mondays - a decision we definitely didn't regret! As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and despite not having a reservation we had a free choice of seats. Particularly attentive: A child seat was immediately provided for our daughter. We were immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a warm fireplace. The restaurant is extremely family-friendly - there were painting materials, books and games, so our little one also got her money's worth. The service staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive and pleasantly unobtrusive. We decided on the Monday specials on the menu, which were not only served quickly but were also very tasty. My burger was an absolute highlight: I've never eaten one like it! It was by far the best burger of my life. The potato wedges with the homemade sour cream were also a dream. The other dishes were also perfectly balanced and simply delicious. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a pleasant, warm atmosphere. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation!

Wonderful food and relatively cheap

The day after our wedding we had breakfast in the Lust restaurant with around 20 people and a few children. The contact and arrangements in advance with the owners were super friendly and uncomplicated. The breakfast was absolutely great both visually and in terms of taste and definitely exceeded our expectations. The service staff were super friendly, attentive and were happy with us. The outdoor area with play space for the children was perfect for us. As soon as we arrived, the owner apologized because there were still pallets lying around from the previous evening. However, these didn't bother us in any way. We also found the very fact that this was being thought about very thoughtful. We had ordered breakfast for two for our guests several times and added little things to it. In the end, the price was definitely fair. We and ALL our guests were completely satisfied and enthusiastic and full of praise 👍🏼 We will definitely come back and can only recommend the Lust restaurant

Celebrated our son's baptism here. Food, service, everything was great! They really put a lot of effort into looking after us, highly recommended for smaller celebrations 🥂

We have been to Lust several times and recently celebrated a big birthday there. The food is always delicious, especially the falafel is a poem. The service is personal, courteous and friendly! The rooms and the garden are also great. Only the toilets might need to be renovated. But we'd love to come back any time!!

We celebrated our wedding here. The service was perfect, as was every single meal for the 30 guests. All of our wishes were taken into account, it was beautifully set and the service was very attentive but unobtrusive. The dishes are extremely lovingly prepared and are a delight for the palate. We can highly recommend this restaurant for hosting a celebration. We were able to have a wonderful wedding celebration there and were always very satisfied during our "normal" visits to Lust. Wonderful restaurant!

We were at the Lust restaurant on August 17, 2024. We became aware of the restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. This is exactly how gastronomy should work. A very big compliment to everyone. Super nice service, great selection of food and the dishes are super tasty with absolutely fresh ingredients. The selection of salads to tick is also great. I think it's a great idea. We had tagliattelle with chanterelles, turkey breast with wedges and a salad we put together ourselves. There is simply nothing to criticize. We will definitely come back and are glad that we found out about you. Keep it up...

Wir haben das Restaurant im Schlemmerblock Traustein/Berchtesgaden gefunden und ausprobiert. Die Telefonische reservierung war sehr unproblematisch und sehr freundlich. Die idee mit der Salatkarte zum selbst zusammenstellen fanden wir sehr schön, und vorallem mit einer sehr guten Auswahl. Der Salat war Ausgezeichnet und das Honig Balsamico Dressing fanden wir beide absolut lecker. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir die Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlinge aus der Monatskarte und die Putenbrust mit Wedges. Beide gerichte waren so schön angerichtet und Geschmacklich großartig. Super gewürzt und die Portionen genau richtig. Das Personal ist sehr jung und auf zack, und alle sehr sehr Freundlich. Sie interessieren sich für den Kunden und fragen auch nach dem befinden. Dank dem Gutscheinbuch sind wir hier gelandet, und wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

Ate two burgers there, very large portions and made everything ourselves. The staff was incredibly nice and hard-working. The beer garden outside is a dream, very quiet despite the city and a little oasis. See you soon!

Ludwig and Steffi do their work with a lot of heart and as a guest you can tell that in every second. Dear Jasmin joined the team two weeks ago and I have to say, with her and Ludwig, the service couldn't be better. The two of them are totally attentive and friendly, they enjoy working and dealing with their guests and it shows. The food was always delicious and special requests were never a problem. Modern restaurant with unusual dishes on the menu. There is also plenty of space for outdoor dining in front of, next to and behind the house. Chicken breast fillets with cornflake breading and various salads were very tasty. That makes you want to eat. Friendly and attentive service. Fair prices. Everything's fine. Steep stairs to the basement to get to the toilet. Parking spaces with app payment in front of the house (free for 1 hour). Ask for password for guest WiFi.

The two of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner - we both had the chicken burger. Excellent fresh ingredients, a great patty and a first-class breaded chicken schnitzel, which we enjoyed with the particularly fried fries and delicious sauces! As old regulars at the previous Cafe Schiller, we thought we would be treated equally. Unfortunately, they didn't want to give me a cake in the "Unlust" cafe, even though it was in the refrigerated counter right in front of me. Literally: don't you know that lunchtime is at 2 p.m.?!?!? We made several more visits - but were always in front of a closed door. We gave up, last attempt 4.1. 3 p.m. Today on March 10th We went back and ordered breakfast for two. Excellent and plentiful

Nach dem Lindl-Sonntag haben wir ein schönes Restaurant gesucht und haben einen freien Tisch im Restaurant Lust gefunden. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber sehr fein. Hier sollte jeder etwas finden. Die Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet und schmecken sehr lecker, hatten eine hohe Qualität und wurden schön angerichtet. Je nach Witterung und Jahreszeit kann man auch draußen sitzen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war ok. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, mitten im Zentrum von Traunstein. Öffentliche Parkplätze direkt vor dem Restaurant.

Yesterday I was in the “Lust” again for ages. At the beginning we were there twice. Twice it was more bad than good when it came to the service and everything around it. Yesterday, however, we were pleasantly surprised. The service 1A... The food was fantastic - I can't remember the last time we ate something so good! Went to this location for lunch with my daughter and the food was delicious. The portions were sufficient but rather manageable for a mature man. I am aware that the goods are becoming more and more expensive, but in order not to lose customers, the portions should be a little larger. The service was exceptionally friendly. Very quick service. I will definitely take a look again.

Completely rebuilt and modernized. Green and gold harmonize perfectly. Was here for breakfast for the first time with my girls. Had the cheese breakfast and reordering from the bread basket was no problem at all. Such accommodating staff. Great. Despite the fact that all the seats were occupied, we were regularly asked whether everything was still OK. There is nothing worse than having an empty drink. That was definitely not the case. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try out more dishes.

War zum ersten mal im Lust Bestellte mir ein "Lust" Frühstück mit Cappuccino, nach kurzer wartezeit bekam ich mein Frühstück und war echt begeistert, hat super geschmeckt, war echt schön angerichtet und hat für mich absolut gereicht. Personal sehr freundlich danke weiter so.

Die neuen Betreiber haben den 80er Jahre Flair komplett ausgekehrt und ein schlichtes, aber angenehm leichtes Ambiente geschaffen. Die Monatsspeisekarte bietet eine kleine aber feine Auswahl an saisonalen und regionalen Speisen, die sehr lecker und ihr Geld mehr als wert sind. Ganz große Klasse, macht bitte weiter so!

Der Service war sehr nett und auch bemüht. Leider hat mein Vorspeisensalat sowie das Hauptgericht nach heißer Luft bzw. nach rein gar nichts geschmeckt. (Saltdressing wasserig, Bowl& Tofu ungesalzen und ungewürzt). Das Ambiente wirkt etwas kühl und unscheinbar

Service unprofessionell Außenbereich schön, aber ungünstige Akustik im Nebenraum: Wenn sich viele Personen (in unserem Fall ca. 20) unterhalten, wird es zu laut. Nudelgericht geschmacklich ganz gut, aber etwas trocken.

Denke das fällt schon leicht unter rufmord, im Internet einfach aber im Restaurant selbst bestimmt den Mund nicht aufbekommen… So tut mir leid ich bin auch aus der Branche und musste das jetzt mal loswerden Update 21.08.2023: Hatten heute einen wundervollen Nachmittag/Abend im schönsten Gastgarten Traunsteins, mit einem Kinderspielplatz der seines gleichen sucht! Essen ist genial mit Vielen Abwechslungsreichen Gerichten und der Service immer zuvorkommend und überaus freundlich. Mittlerweile sind wir schon Wiederholungstäter und selbst nach einem Jahr gibt es keinen Qualitätsverlust oder zugekaufte Produkte wie bei den meisten anderen. Die Salate waren sehr lecker, aber nach meinem Empfinden nach zu klein. Das Frühstück kann ich dafür wirklich empfehlen, super lecker und Extrawünsche werden berücksichtigt. Der Service war auch super!

Unser Frühstück für zwei Personen war nett angerichtet und sehr ergiebig. Wir waren gut gesättigt und konnten es sehr genießen. Auch die Getränke (Prosecco, Cappuccino, Espresso) waren sehr gut. Das ehemalige Caffè Fischer hat seit 2022 neue Pächter, Stefanie Mayer & Ludwig Güntner. Das Restaurant, Caffè und Bar ist geschmackvoll renoviert und verfügt im Sommer über einen schönen Restaurantgarten. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Restaurant Lust. Bei unserm ersten Besuch war der Service und das Essen O.K. Es war unser zweiter Besuch. Wir wollten die tolle Salatkarte testen. Es besteht die Möglichkeit aus mehreren Zutaten für einen Salat auszuwählen und sich so seinen individuellen Lieblings-Salt zusammen zu stellen. Wir haben einen großen Salat als Topping mit Rinderfiletstreifen (zu EURO 16,60) und einen großen Salat als Topping gegrillten Garnelen (zu EURO 16,80) mit jeweils Balsamico-, Olivenöl Dressing bestellt. Das Dressing kam separat zum Salat. Wir haben das Dressing über den Salat gegeben und uns den ganzen Salat versaut. Das Dressing schmeckte nur nach Balsamicoessig und war, wenn überhaupt, nur im Verhältnis 1:1 mit Olivenöl gemischt. Der Salat war somit ungenießbar! Wir verstehen nicht wie so etwas überhaupt aus der Küche gehen kann. Wir haben uns dann in unserer Verzweiflung extra Olivenöl bestellt und den Salat mit dem Öl ertränkt, um ihn überhaupt zu essen zu können. Trotz Reklamation gab es noch nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Es wurde der volle Preis mit Rechnungsnummer 2-4027 am 4.2.23 über EURO 46,40 berechnet. Der Service ist freundlich aber aus unserer Sicht nicht professionell. Da ist noch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Wenn der Eigner im Service ist sieht das Ganze besser aus. Dem Anspruch: „Unsere Philosophie ist es ein zweites Zuhause für Jeden von Euch zu schaffen“ werden Stefanie Mayer & Ludwig Güntner, nach unserer Meinung, nicht uneingeschränkt gerecht. Unser Fazit: Prüft bitte vorher das Salatdressing bevor ihr es über Euren individuellen Lieblings-Salat kippt, ist halt keine Sterneküche. Zur Not gibt es auch weißen Balsamicoessig und Olivenöl mit dem Ihr Euren Salat abschmecken könnt.
