Restaurant Lust in Traunstein

Thank you for the milk foam heart on my "Dirty Chai Latte" (a chai latte with an espresso inside), which was made especially for me! I was so happy with the quick and personalized service! My coffee to go made my journey even sweeter! <3

Unfortunately, today was not good. We had to wait half an hour just to have our order taken. Then it took another half hour for the coffee to arrive. First, they forgot a cake. Later, they forgot a hot chocolate. Our neighbors left after half an hour because no one came to take their order. We were there for almost two hours in total. The entire time, the used dishes from the previous diners were left on the table and weren't cleared away. We collected them and put them together ourselves.

A beautiful, spacious, modern restaurant. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food (Power Bowl) was fantastic. A perfect place to escape from everyday life.

It's cozy and the staff are super friendly. We had lunch there, but they also have homemade cake 🍰.

The lunch menu was great for the price, the service very friendly and attentive, BUT one thing shocked me: the personal hygiene of one of the waiters. When he brought me the wine, his fingernails were as long and black as an East German blind mouse's. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!

We celebrated our wedding reception at Restaurant Lust in Traunstein on December 12, 2025, and were absolutely thrilled. The decorations were beautiful and designed with great attention to detail, the food was excellent, and the service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. The planning beforehand was also very pleasant and straightforward. Many thanks to Steffi and her team for this unforgettable evening – highly recommended, excellent value for money!

The ambiance is very inviting and warm, as is the staff. Wonderful wooden furnishings with ample warm white lighting. In the background, quieter interpretations of familiar music accompany the proceedings. Audible, but not too loud or so quiet that you have to guess what's playing. The food arrives promptly and is excellent in every respect. In short, a definite must-visit for anyone passing through.

We had breakfast at Lust today. We had breakfast for two. It was beautifully presented and there was something for everyone. There was plenty, and the leftovers were nicely packaged for us to take with us. We received very friendly service. They treated us very attentively. This certainly won't be our last visit. Had a great meal, was looking for a meat menu but they had vegetarian food here but it was tasty, plate was empty and they had good beer and wine, parking is paid until 6 pm on weekdays

We went there for the first time yesterday. What struck me as incredibly positive was the pleasant atmosphere created by the beautiful lighting and music in the restaurant. The food was also excellent, with a delicious selection of vegan dishes. We had the summer rolls, the falafel burger with sweet potato fries, and the poke bowl and were completely satisfied. The portions were also quite filling. The staff was friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back ☺️

It's a treat to dine in this restaurant after spending days on rustic, home-style cooking on vacation. The fresh, youthful cuisine with regional ingredients is highly recommended. The varied children's menu will also delight younger family members, and the good wine and fresh local beer are a treat for the older ones. We felt very comfortable here.

My simple breakfast was not that simple, its overloaded with scrambled egg and bacon. Yummmm! Would love to go back there for lunch or dinner next time, I saw a lot of great looking dishes on Google Maps reviews and can't wait to try! Cappuccino was great aswell by the way, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating! I enjoyed my time spent there and would recommend my friends and family to dine there :)

Lust is removing negative ratings from the reviews – I was surprised by the current 4.7 rating! I've been there twice, and each time it was rather below average...

We were at Restaurant Lust today. What can I say other than that it was absolutely perfect. From the welcome to the farewell, it was perfect. The staff is extremely friendly, and your every wish is fulfilled. The ambiance is relaxing and you lose track of time and space. The breakfast was fresh and an absolute feast for the palate. The eggs were cooked to perfection. We would love to come back. We felt very comfortable, and it was the perfect start to the day for us. Thank you very much.

"Lust" impressed us again on our second visit. Attentive service, very good food (we had various bowls and burgers), and making a reservation via email went smoothly. The menu is rather small, but that's always a positive feature for me. Particularly noteworthy: The children's dishes (fish fingers with fries) were served very stylishly on "regular" dishes, with hand-cut (?) fries and ketchup in a ceramic bowl. It was truly a feast for the eyes – something you can't always say about children's dishes... There's a small playground in the back garden by the terrace, and highchairs are available. We were once again completely satisfied and will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Traunstein!

At "Lust," the food is excellent, and the service is attentive, friendly, and fast. Combined with the harmonious ambiance, it's absolutely recommended!

A really good cafe/restaurant, centrally located in Traunstein. Friendly service and a very diverse menu; even health-conscious people will find something here. Today we had a healthy bowl with asparagus soup from the €10.90 lunch menu; it was delicious! It's also nice to sit outside, and it's right near the train station. Highly recommended!

Very nice ambiance, with plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly service & really good food! We had the burgers and a couscous bowl, and it was definitely worth it. We were a bit skeptical at first because the prices were quite high, but it was definitely the best burger in a very long time! We'd be happy to go back :)

Very pleasant restaurant, friendly service and also busy at lunchtime during the week. Even when I had to return my starter, I quickly found a tasty replacement. Burgers were ordered as the main course. Goods super good. And very appetizingly prepared. We would be happy to come back. The day before I heard about the "nice toilet" on the radio - I find that kind of thing very customer-oriented anyway. Thank you.

Modern concept that has so far stood out due to poor service. I was happy that a new, interesting restaurant was opening in Traunstein. On my first visit on the second opening day, the order took forever and was incomplete (bread was only brought after asking twice). Of course it can happen on the second day and it's not a big drama. So today another second chance for “Lust”. In short, after almost 45 minutes, my companion and I left without ordering, even though the restaurant was far from full. Conclusion: It's a shame, because I really like the restaurant and the concept behind it, but the necessary know-how is missing (at least in the service area).

If you are looking for a healthy diet made from fresh ingredients, you should eat somewhere else. All dishes with tons of sugar (whether in the form of carbohydrates or sugar directly) Taste test: Ready-made sauces for burgers with ready-made patties, cheap oil (vegetable or seed oil), etc. If you try to adjust something, the port will be smaller at full price.

This restaurant was simply amazing! The food was delicious, but what really made the evening special was our waiter - incredibly friendly, attentive and just a force to be reckoned with! If I were his boss, I would pay him double because he absolutely deserves it. A real gem in this place. I'll definitely be back!

The Lust restaurant is really nice. The food was very tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and modern. The waiter was super nice and friendly. He gave us good advice and was always helpful. You can tell that he enjoys his job. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

Delicious but the table wasn't fully served and one person only got their food when everyone else was already finished. But you can absolutely recommend the lunch menu for the price.

We were there today for a birthday party. The waiter was very friendly and quick, the breakfast was very tasty. A very nice ambience with a cozy atmosphere and finally a café where it was nice and warm, there was even a wood stove.

The restaurant is actually quite nice, but unfortunately the price doesn't match the quality. I've been there three times now and unfortunately I can't give it more than 3 stars. For example, you pay over €20 for a burger with a frozen patty that was very dry and thin last time. That's just a shame and unnecessary for a restaurant that certainly has higher standards. I hope for improvement and I'll be happy to go there again.

We became aware of the restaurant through the voucher book and tried it out. We were totally thrilled. It tasted great, super good and was beautifully and lovingly prepared. Really highly recommended. The Bavarian owners provide great service and are also relaxed, nice and personable.

I had the Brezl Rösti Burger in December and February, which tastes very good, but it's getting smaller and smaller for the same price... (see photos) The chicken burger was ok, but you can't say anything more about it.

Charging an extra €0.90 for milk alternatives (oat milk) is absolutely not appropriate for a modern restaurant.

You can put together your own salad - simply by ticking on a pre-printed card. The best salad I've ever eaten anywhere. Lots of ingredients and the best dressing! Super nice staff and great weekly specials!

We were visiting Traunstein as a family on a Monday evening and chose the “Lust” restaurant because it was one of the few that was open on Mondays - a decision we definitely didn't regret! As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and despite not having a reservation we had a free choice of seats. Particularly attentive: A child seat was immediately provided for our daughter. We were immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a warm fireplace. The restaurant is extremely family-friendly - there were painting materials, books and games, so our little one also got her money's worth. The service staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive and pleasantly unobtrusive. We decided on the Monday specials on the menu, which were not only served quickly but were also very tasty. My burger was an absolute highlight: I've never eaten one like it! It was by far the best burger of my life. The potato wedges with the homemade sour cream were also a dream. The other dishes were also perfectly balanced and simply delicious. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a pleasant, warm atmosphere. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation!

The day after our wedding we had breakfast in the Lust restaurant with around 20 people and a few children. The contact and arrangements in advance with the owners were super friendly and uncomplicated. The breakfast was absolutely great both visually and in terms of taste and definitely exceeded our expectations. The service staff were super friendly, attentive and were happy with us. The outdoor area with play space for the children was perfect for us. As soon as we arrived, the owner apologized because there were still pallets lying around from the previous evening. However, these didn't bother us in any way. We also found the very fact that this was being thought about very thoughtful. We had ordered breakfast for two for our guests several times and added little things to it. In the end, the price was definitely fair. We and ALL our guests were completely satisfied and enthusiastic and full of praise 👍🏼 We will definitely come back and can only recommend the Lust restaurant

We have been to Lust several times and recently celebrated a big birthday there. The food is always delicious, especially the falafel is a poem. The service is personal, courteous and friendly! The rooms and the garden are also great. Only the toilets might need to be renovated. But we'd love to come back any time!!

We celebrated our wedding here. The service was perfect, as was every single meal for the 30 guests. All of our wishes were taken into account, it was beautifully set and the service was very attentive but unobtrusive. The dishes are extremely lovingly prepared and are a delight for the palate. We can highly recommend this restaurant for hosting a celebration. We were able to have a wonderful wedding celebration there and were always very satisfied during our "normal" visits to Lust. We were at the Lust restaurant on August 17, 2024. We became aware of the restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. This is exactly how gastronomy should work. A very big compliment to everyone. Super nice service, great selection of food and the dishes are super tasty with absolutely fresh ingredients. The selection of salads to tick is also great. I think it's a great idea. We had tagliattelle with chanterelles, turkey breast with wedges and a salad we put together ourselves. There is simply nothing to criticize. We will definitely come back and are glad that we found out about you. Keep it up...

Wir haben das Restaurant im Schlemmerblock Traustein/Berchtesgaden gefunden und ausprobiert. Die Telefonische reservierung war sehr unproblematisch und sehr freundlich. Die idee mit der Salatkarte zum selbst zusammenstellen fanden wir sehr schön, und vorallem mit einer sehr guten Auswahl. Der Salat war Ausgezeichnet und das Honig Balsamico Dressing fanden wir beide absolut lecker. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir die Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlinge aus der Monatskarte und die Putenbrust mit Wedges. Beide gerichte waren so schön angerichtet und Geschmacklich großartig. Super gewürzt und die Portionen genau richtig. Das Personal ist sehr jung und auf zack, und alle sehr sehr Freundlich. Sie interessieren sich für den Kunden und fragen auch nach dem befinden. Dank dem Gutscheinbuch sind wir hier gelandet, und wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

Ate two burgers there, very large portions and made everything ourselves. The staff was incredibly nice and hard-working. The beer garden outside is a dream, very quiet despite the city and a little oasis. See you soon!

Ludwig and Steffi do their work with a lot of heart and as a guest you can tell that in every second. Dear Jasmin joined the team two weeks ago and I have to say, with her and Ludwig, the service couldn't be better. The two of them are totally attentive and friendly, they enjoy working and dealing with their guests and it shows. The food was always delicious and special requests were never a problem. Modern restaurant with unusual dishes on the menu. There is also plenty of space for outdoor dining in front of, next to and behind the house. Chicken breast fillets with cornflake breading and various salads were very tasty. That makes you want to eat. Friendly and attentive service. Fair prices. Everything's fine. Steep stairs to the basement to get to the toilet. Parking spaces with app payment in front of the house (free for 1 hour). Ask for password for guest WiFi.

As old regulars at the previous Cafe Schiller, we thought we would be treated equally. Unfortunately, they didn't want to give me a cake in the "Unlust" cafe, even though it was in the refrigerated counter right in front of me. Literally: don't you know that lunchtime is at 2 p.m.?!?!? We made several more visits - but were always in front of a closed door. We gave up, last attempt 4.1. 3 p.m. Today on March 10th We went back and ordered breakfast for two. Excellent and plentiful
