Maison De Lai - Restaurant in Traunstein

The ambiance in the main restaurant is very harmonious, but unfortunately, you sit very close to the next table. Without a reservation, we were seated in an adjoining room, which was much worse. It was bright, had a simpler ambiance, and less muted voices. The dishes were beautifully presented but lacked authenticity and the flavors were poorly refined. The service was friendly and uninspired. For those not familiar with Asian cuisine, this is generally a decent restaurant.

We had only made a reservation that same day, but were seated in a side room with the feel of a clubhouse. The food was served with a lot of frills, but cooked and seasoned without attention to detail. Having just returned from a vacation in Vietnam with the sheer variety of flavors, this was a huge disappointment. The service staff, while attentive, were not courteous and certainly couldn't compete with the exceptional friendliness we've come to expect in Vietnam.

NOT ACCESSIBLE!!!!!!! It does say so in the Google ad. When we asked by phone, we were also told that the restaurant was accessible and that the restroom was also wheelchair accessible. When we got there, we found ourselves in front of a long, narrow staircase with a turn that was absolutely not wheelchair accessible! Very annoying!!

Dinner with four friends The ambiance is very nice, and you immediately feel at home. Unfortunately, you sit very close to the next table. The service was very friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the food was bland and very German-style. It simply lacked that Asian flavor. I have NEVER been to a Vietnamese restaurant that didn't have coriander. All the other typical herbs were also conspicuously absent. For anyone looking for a pleasant evening and not interested in Asian cuisine, this is a recommended restaurant.

A restaurant with good food, but with no service focus. We gave this restaurant another chance after our last negative service experience and were disappointed again. Despite having a reservation, we were assigned a tiny table, very cramped, right next to the service aisle. At 7 p.m., there were at least 10 other tables available outside. When we asked if we could get a nicer, less cramped table, the waiter placed our menus on another, very cramped table and left us standing there without a word. We didn't get the table we wanted; the waiter then walked past us repeatedly for five minutes and simply left us standing on the terrace, ignoring us. Sorry, I'm not spending my money here. We spontaneously had a wonderful evening at another restaurant that places great importance on guest satisfaction.

Four of us came here for the first time. Everything tasted excellent. The portions were generous. Since we ordered an appetizer platter, we couldn't finish everything. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Pleasant atmosphere. We'd happily come back. Well, maybe not every day, as it's not exactly cheap, but we were impressed. The value for money is decent.

I was born in Traunstein, know all the restaurants inside and out and have to say that Traunstein has generally declined in terms of service/quality, Maison on the other hand overtakes everyone else with friendly service and quality, above all friendliness is something that is lacking in Traunstein in general, here you always feel well looked after and comfortable, I would love to be a regular guest!!

Ultimately, the food tasted good, even if it's relatively expensive. Although allergens are marked on the menu, many dishes are labeled "vegan" even though they aren't (as can be determined by the allergens and upon request). Some fish dishes are simply labeled as vegan. It was possible to replace/omit some animal ingredients in a dish upon request, but it was rather complicated. Not recommended for vegetarians/vegans.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. This time I didn't eat any sushi but I'd highly recommend it to other sushi lovers, the quality is really good and it looks very representable, just like the rest of their dishes. The menu is a bit pricey if you want all three courses, but it's justified by the quality of food.

Maison de Lai not only offers extremely good, authentic Asian food but also a very good atmosphere. Lighting and furnishings work in harmony and even the cutlery is color-matched. A small criticism of the ambience, however, was the acoustics, as the noise level within the restaurant was very high. The service was very good as the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the spiciness of the dishes was described very accurately in the menu, as "slightly spicy" in Asian cuisine offers a lot of room for interpretation, but here it was translated into German "slightly spicy". All in all, I can recommend this restaurant and I plan to visit it again.

Maison De Lai is very very highly recommended. The quality, the selection, the ambience and the service are simply top. I have rarely had such delicious Vietnamese food as here. We had the large gourmet sushi platter for two people and were more than surprised. The selection was great. The variant of sushi with Wagyu beef was special. hmmm incredibly delicious. The service is super nice, funny and accommodating. We also often get food for home. Everything is packaged very well and the service is also top. Everything works in no time with the order number right on the door. The prices are appropriate because you also get very good quality. I think Maison De Lai is currently the best restaurant in the area. I can highly recommend it but would make reservations in the evening.

Was there for lunch and the recommendation from friends wasn't too promising. I was particularly surprised and enjoyed it. The only note is that I had to wait an extremely long time for the bill. Otherwise highly recommended.

The Maison de Lai has really become a brand in Traunstein. The selection is huge, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Sometimes the small restaurant is quite fully booked because, for example, you cannot go outside in the cold seasons. The interior is stylishly designed and the staff is friendly. In my opinion, the higher price is justified by the quality. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

One of my favorite restaurants, very tasty sushi at fair prices.

The food was great, lots of choice, everything we had was delicious. However, the concept with 2 shifts, at 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., is somewhat questionable. If you go out to eat with friends and want to stay comfortably for a while, have more than one drink and maybe a dessert, then you should definitely make a reservation for the 2nd shift. We were more or less “thrown out” at 7:30 p.m., even though we had been asked for another drink order 10 minutes before. That was a bit annoying and uncomfortable.

We really enjoy eating here or picking something up from time to time. The staff is friendly and quick. The one star deduction is due to the fact that there are no children's chairs. Unfortunately not very family friendly.

What a great pace. We had mango salt and octopus for starter and the the Vietnam spring rolls to roll yourself. Service is so friendly and we manage to share the food cause it is more than enough to eat. Great experience to come. For the evening you should make a reservation.

So normally I'm there regularly but yesterday it was an absolute disgrace. Reserved a table over a week ago Store overcrowded. Next room, yes of course cramming in 1.5 hours of time to eat. Portion was much smaller than usual. What can I say? Lost regular guest.

Beautiful Asian restaurant in the heart of Traunstein with a large selection of sushi and other dishes that are served beautifully. Tasty in taste and with lots of fresh ingredients, they are served quickly by the friendly waiters. The decor is stylish and modern, but the tables are quite narrow and it is warm in the restaurant. This doesn't detract from the taste experience. We'd love to come back!

Came across it by chance and tried it out. We were thrilled! Chicken skewers in peanut sauce, squid with vegetables and the Maison Sushi with Wagyu. Everything was above average, the sushi was absolutely amazing. The portions were plentiful, so no one goes hungry. The service was super friendly and all in all drinks cost €60, which is absolutely reasonable to cheap for the quality and quantity. An absolute recommendation from us and a must in the future if we are in the area.

The top address for Asian food! The sushi in particular is great. I can only recommend it. In the summer it is very pleasant to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy one or two cocktails. We also went indoors in the winter and when the tables were full, they were so close together that the neighboring table could eat on their own plate. I didn't find it that pleasant... But all in all, an absolute recommendation for fans of Asian food!

We chose a dish from the lunch table. Lunch includes either soup or spring rolls. We only noticed this shortly after ordering (approx. 1 minute) and called the waiter, who was at the neighboring table in the meantime, again to reorder the spring rolls. We then received an angry instruction that we had to order them straight away and whether we were unable to read properly. As a customer, we have never experienced anything like this before. If we hadn't been so hungry we would have loved to go back! The food came quickly. The quality was rather mediocre. The chicken was some kind of sticky mass of meat, which already shows that the focus here is not on quality but on price. We won't go to this place again.

The young waiter who brought us the drinks was very friendly. When we paid, the cellar who also took the order brought us the bill. After paying there was only a goodbye. No thanks, not a nice day... when we went out we kindly thanked the waiter who was standing at the counter and wished him a nice day and all we got was a quiet goodbye. I really have to say that we didn't feel good in the restaurant the last few times. The last two years everyone was very nice even though the restaurant was full but since last year it has changed. We were in the restaurant at lunchtime today and there were three tables occupied inside besides us... It's a shame when you have to feel like that as a guest.

Very tasty and fresh Vietnamese food in a great, modern setting both inside and outside on the back terrace. The service is very courteous and polite and the price-performance ratio is right, with large portions. The vegan offering is also impressive here! If we weren't passing through we would definitely come back more often!

There were six of us eating, aperitifs, various starters, main courses, everything was very good - unfortunately except for my main course. According to the menu, my main course was supposed to include fresh wok vegetables in addition to duck and roasted egg rice. There is no trace of fresh wok vegetables on the plate, just a few peas and corn kernels in the rice. When I asked, the waiter initially said that wok vegetables are never included in dishes with egg rice. After looking at the menu, he just said that he didn't know what the kitchen meant. He made no move to bring at least another bowl of the missing vegetables and simply left. It's actually a shame, so far we've always enjoyed staying at Maison de Lai and it's always been very good - this time - especially the customer focus - unfortunately a bit disappointing...

Great restaurant with very tasty, high quality food. You sit beautifully privately in the courtyard and the selection of food and drinks is huge. We were all thrilled. Only the wakame salad is really expensive.

Towards the toilets there are tables that are a bit closer together and there was a lot going on. It's probably a bit loud and crowded there. But for us it was perfect! Gladly again!
