The food was delicious, fresh, and served piping hot. A truly superb culinary experience, everything perfectly seasoned and aromatic. Friendly and competent staff and exceptionally delicious German food. The homemade iced tea was also delicious! Beer lovers will also find something to their liking here: the selection was good, the beer freshly tapped and perfectly chilled – exactly as it should be.

The food was so delicious! They cook with love here! The hostess is very friendly and welcoming, especially with children, and made our evening truly special. You immediately feel comfortable and at home. We were there last Sunday, and it was quite busy, but the quality didn't suffer at all. I highly recommend the rump steak! The ambiance is also beautiful. The decor and furnishings are very fitting. In short: A completely perfect experience. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

A true gem among authentic German restaurants. We've been here several times with friends. The service is impeccable. The waitress is a master of her craft and offers excellent advice. And there's plenty to choose from! So many fantastic dishes! I've already tried the pork knuckle, sauerbraten, and veal schnitzel. Masterful! Anyone wanting to experience a genuine pub atmosphere certainly won't be disappointed here.

A fantastic restaurant with incredibly friendly and gluten-friendly staff and kitchen. They really know their stuff, and I had the best gluten-free schnitzel I've ever eaten. If I didn't live so far away (we were there for a vet visit in Hofheim), I would gladly be a regular! :)

The schnitzel was excellent, both the regular and the gluten-free versions. It was also very filling! We were at the veterinary clinic in Hofheim and had some time to spare. We pre-ordered at the restaurant and let them know we'd be there in 15 minutes. The food arrived right at the table (very accommodating). My fiancée even said it was the best gluten-free schnitzel she'd ever had.

The quaint ambiance doesn't quite fit the modern music, but that's not a problem. The menu is pleasantly concise and features hearty classics from Germany, especially Hesse (keyword: Handkäs). The beer and wine selection is also good. Parking is available nearby.

I went to the Schützenhof with my girlfriend on Friday evening. Basically, two words are enough: an absolute must! The ambiance is exactly what I expect from a real inn. Veal schnitzel is my highlight. The Kaiserschmarrn is a dream; a master at work! But none of that would be a problem, considering the wonderful people who work there do everything to make you feel at home as a guest. The waitress was really super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Simply fantastic! Delicious food, a wonderful chef, and a lovely atmosphere! We had beef tagliatelle for the main course, which was incredibly tender. We also had veal schnitzel and Kelsterbacher schnitzel with fried potatoes – absolutely delicious! A perfect all-rounder!

We came all the way from Cologne to see you. The location was fantastic. The service was very friendly. The food: We had the knuckle of pork 10 out of 10. Better than some knuckles in Munich. When we're back in Frankfurt, we'll be back. 👍🏻

We stopped with a group of 8 for lunch on a layover in Frankfurt. Service was impeccable. Every meal we ordered was delicious. Freshly prepared authentic German cuisine. We enjoyed everything.

We were on a layover at Frankfurt airport and wanted a place to get out and experience something of real Frankfurt. This had great ratings and it pulled us in, glad we did because the food and hospitality was top drawer. It's close to the airport, the food is traditional and the schnitzel was 5 stars. I've tried and failed to make anything that good at home. The mushroom 3 ways was also worth having. Thank you to the team here from your new fans from New Zealand

For me, this is the best place for a pub. The beer garden is wonderful, especially in summer. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even when it's busy, you don't have to wait too long. The food is delicious and down-to-earth.

We went to the restaurant biergarten only; we met friends from far away for dinner before they left the next day. It was quite lovely, the food and beer were good. I was very happy to have found such a nice local spot and will happily recommend the next time we need to meet close to the airport.

We discovered an excellent German restaurant run by an exceptional couple. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the menu is carefully curated. We had the pleasure of having lunch there and were impressed by the quality of the food, the freshness of the produce, and the very interesting conversation with the owner. We'll definitely be back!

We made reservations for 6 people on Mother's Day and unfortunately we really ruined our day here. The restaurant was almost half full and we had to wait a good 1.5 hours for our food. Of course we asked, it was full and very busy. It's questionable what the waiting times would be like if the pub was almost full. The asparagus cream soup was watery and the taste was indistinguishable from a packet soup. One star for the waitress who handled the criticism professionally and canceled the soup. The fact that the promised dog water and the straw for the junior were forgotten right at the beginning is only mentioned in passing. We also sat in front of our empty glasses for a really long time without any questions. The food was otherwise okay and the attentive service staff were at least friendly!

I have never experienced such poor and unfriendly service in my life! Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I urgently needed to go to the toilet and I asked the lady at the counter if I could use her toilet. I even offered to pay for it twice. She rejected me very unkindly. I'm even interested in being your guests soon. But nothing worked and she was louder to me and I left the restaurant. I'm really disappointed with the service especially the lady at the counter! You could at least show a little willingness to help future guests. One star is way too many!

Hardly any restaurant, especially in Hesse, has the heart and attention to detail, along with good food, cleanliness, and good, old-school hospitality. The Schützenhof team shows that it's still possible. We spent a very precious Friday evening here. A personal welcome from a wonderful and friendly hostess in the garden (the garden is very beautiful, by the way!) and a kitchen team that really knows what they're doing. Everything was fresh, hot, and wonderfully seasoned in a cozy atmosphere. (And please, seriously, people: Eat that farmhouse bread. Whatever's in it: more of it, please.) We had schnitzel and vegetarian dishes, and each of them deserved full marks. The team prepared a very special evening for us, unfortunately, only 5 stars here, because more is all we can get. A big compliment to fantastic restaurateurs! I went there on the recommendation of friends and I was thrilled. The quality of the food, the friendly and extremely competent service and the pleasant, classic ambience more than convinced me. It's really worth taking a little break from everyday life here. Next time I'll come with the family in the evening.

The room was quite nice and the bed was comfortable. But some guy walked into our room (I assumed he worked there but who knows) and there are no physical locks on the doors from the inside of the room, just the phone entry. I didn't realize this was a keyless entry before I arrived, that's not clear on the website or the confirmation - you just get a random email with the information from some other service. I had to figure out the door in the pouring rain with a cranky toddler. If you aren't very technologically savvy I wouldn't recommend this hotel as you have to use your smart phone to get into both the main door and your room. The people in the restaurant were very kind and the food was really delicious. Unexpected visitors in my room was really creepy though.

I didn't stay in the hotel. I only ate at the restaurant. The food is simply fantastic. Really good cuisine. Highly recommended. From the outside, you can't imagine how wonderful the experience is inside. No frills. Simply excellent products.

Great restaurant - even with gluten-free schnitzel! Very friendly staff that is well informed. I have celiac disease myself and have had no problems. The schnitzel is prepared in a separate area and great care is taken to ensure that there is no contamination. Rustic atmosphere and a spacious beer garden, good parking Gladly again :)

Friendly service in the restaurant, but unfortunately only mediocre food

The hosts are extremely accommodating, hospitable, and down-to-earth. The owner is very intelligent and child-friendly; it's always fun to chat with her. We felt very comfortable from the first visit and are very enthusiastic about the food. The schnitzel is always excellent, as is the steak. The wine is wonderful, especially the Pinot Gris. You can't be disappointed at the Schützenhof! A definite recommendation!

We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. The service was always extremely fast, which continued throughout the entire visit. The stay at the Schützenhof was really fantastic. We were very impressed by the greetings from the kitchen (bread and lard), the main course (ragout, vegetarian version) and the dessert (mango-raspberry dessert... so delicious and beautiful!). We felt very comfortable, especially thanks to the respectful and friendly service and the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is run by a married couple (the boss serves and the boss cooks), which gives the whole thing a nice personal touch. We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend a visit!

Cozy, good home-style restaurant. We've been going here again and again for years. Even though the owners have changed from time to time, the menu has always offered something to suit every taste. For vegetarians, in addition to the usual green sauce, there is now also a delicious sweet potato and pepper ragout.

We had dinner here at the Wirtshaus zum Schützenhof before our flight the evening before. We had the Kelsterbach style schnitzel and the schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Both the side salad and the main courses absolutely impressed us. If we had a restaurant with this quality near our hometown, we would be regulars here. Very tasty food, crispy fried schnitzels with delicious sauce. And very friendly and attentive service. The rosé wine is also highly recommended.

Very busy restaurant. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to our table. I recommend making a reservation here. Our waitress was friendly and relaxed, which we found very pleasant. The drink order was taken quickly. The food was absolutely delicious, nothing was left to be desired. The toilets are spotlessly clean, which is always very important to me. All in all, a cozy restaurant with friendly service and good cuisine.

Today we went to the Schützenhof for dinner with our two children and had 3 different dishes including a side salad (veal schnitzel, pork schnitzel and spaetzle gratinated), all very tasty. The starter, a hand cheese salad, was also particularly tasty, which was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the excellent food!

The most delicious cuisine in Kelsterbach. Frankfurt schnitzel is a world championship. Potatoes fried with bacon and parsley were the tastiest I've ever eaten in Germany. It's also worth coming here for their pork shank. I recommend! die leckerste Küche in Kelsterbach. Frankfurter Schnitzel ist eine Weltmeisterschaft. Mit Speck und Petersilie gebratene Kartoffeln sind die leckersten, die ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe. Es lohnt sich auch wegen der Schweinshaxe hierher zu kommen. Ich empfehle!

Hessian cosiness in a rustic atmosphere. The restaurant no longer has anything to do with the guesthouse. But direct access to the house is practical. The service is super friendly, fast and obviously international. The food was really very good and arrived very quickly. It's not cheap in terms of price, but it seems like we'll have to get used to it. Unfortunately! A clear recommendation due to its proximity to the airport.

We were here for the first time today. The waitress greeted us in a friendly and fun way and immediately took care of our drinks. The food was really excellent. The soup with chanterelles was creamy, very tasty, with lots of chanterelles. Super friendly service made sure that we had everything on the table without asking, very guest-oriented. The schnitzels (sometimes with peppers, sometimes with mushrooms) were excellent. Delicate, airy breading. Everything here is very successful.

This was our third visit to this restaurant and we love it. Luckily for us, we found the same black-haired waitress three times, who is not only very professional in what she does, but she is also absolutely nice, in a good mood and very pretty too ☺️This keeps the atmosphere very relaxed. The food is an absolute hit. Perfectly composed dishes. The schnitzel with green sauce was great! The garden is also very beautiful. We'll be back.

We went to the inn for dinner for the Frankfurter Schnitzel. Parking spaces in front of the door. It was very tasty, hot, large portions and the green sauce was great! The ice cream for dessert was beautifully presented, the Kaiserschmarrn was super tasty, fluffy and slightly caramelized. The service was fast and friendly :-) but perhaps you could ask more often whether everything is OK, especially during the meal or afterwards, if you have any further requests. All in all we had a great evening, thank you very much! :-)

We were looking for a nice meal near Frankfurt Airport during a long layover. What a great find! 10 minute drive. Very nice gentleman, I forgot his name but it started with M, served us. I recommend the chanterelle soup in addition to whatever meal you order- and every thing we got was delicious. Frankfurt schnitzel and rump steak particularly good. Service was great as well. Our server was understanding of our lack of German, was patient, and even very helpful in helping us figure out a taxi. perfect!!

When I'm in Kelsterbach, I always like to go there because the food is always great. In summer you can sit in the inner courtyard...and in the cooler season the cozy inn offers a nice ambience. The gratinated sheep's cheese with lettuce and walnuts was divine. 👍🏼 As for the hotel...I can't say anything.

On the way home from sports we stopped at the Schützenhof inn, there are some parking spaces on site. Today we had very tasty schnitzels in a variety of variations. Highly recommended! With a few side dishes to choose from, we had fried potatoes, sweet potatoes and fries. There was also a fresh and delicious side salad. For dessert, apple strudel and Kaiserschmarrn... also very tasty. Super nice and fast service, we didn't have to wait long for food, even if we were there early (4.30 p.m.). We were able to listen to the chef making the schnitzel, which was always nice to hear that it was freshly cooked. Whenever we're passing through again, we'd love to come back for dinner. You still deserve many guests, 5⭐️

Gutes, leckeres Essen in passendem Ambiente. Die Bedienung war auch sehr nett und war trotz vollem Haus wirklich sehr zügig und immer freundlich. Es hat allen geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind sehr groß. Kann man getrost weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben kurzfristig einen Tisch bekommen, was heutzutage auch schwierig ist wenn man nicht Tage/ Wochen vorher reserviert. Sehr gemütliches und rustikales Ambiente, im allgemeinen haben wir den gesamten Laden als sehr sauber empfunden und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, uns ist auch kein Staub Korn oder Krümmel aufgefallen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend die Kellnerin hält steht’s Blick Kontakt und reagiert direkt auf gesten und wünsche. Wir wurden ausführlich zu den bestellten Menüs/ Speisen beraten und es wurden auch Tages Gerichte empfohlen. Die Speisen (Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Nachtisch ) kamen immer recht zügig ohne große Wartezeit und waren perfekt zubereitet und schön serviert. Geschmacklich einfach nur Lecker. Die Hausgemachten Desserts sind ein Gedicht. Die Preise sind angemessen und Im Großen und Ganzen ein sehr gelungener und schmackhafter Abend. Danke an das gesamte Team

Update: Weihnachtsmenü ein Traum! Immer wieder gern. Sehr authentischer Laden mit überaus netten Betreibern. Schützenhof bieten immer Speisen von höchster Qualität, immer frisch zubereitet und trotzdem ist das Restaurant nicht überteuert. Unsere Familie besucht das Wirtshaus mindestens einmal die Woche seit Monaten und wir waren noch nie enttäuscht! Der Chef höchstpersönlich hat Auge auf alles in der Küche. Er zaubert hervorragendes Essen, darauf ist ein Verlass! Besonders das Kelsterbacher Schnitzel ist sehr zu empfehlen! Auch hatten wir hier vor einigen Wochen super Pfifferlinge. Wichtig: Platz für ein Dessert lassen, Kaiserschmarrn ist grandios. Die Chefin erledigt den Service im Lokal souverän mit charmantem Humor, sehr aufmerksam, sehr zuverlässig und selbst in der größten Hektik total freundlich. Sie hat immer alles im Griff! Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr sauber und richtig gemütlich. Man fühlt sich dort sehr wohl, das ganze Restaurant hat eine sehr herzliche Art.

Wir durften heute den Abend bei Ihnen verbringen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Den „Vorfall“ meiner vorherigen Rednerin habe ich mitbekommen und kann dazu nur sagen, dass die Servicekraft eindeutig gesagt hat, dass es Käsespätzle sind und sie da Soße hinzufügen kann… Nachdem der Gast sich beschwert hat wurde sogar angeboten dass Essen von der Rechnung zu nehmen und eine Portion Pommes zu bekommen… ! Also so ganz Ernst ist die Rezension nicht zu nehmen!!! Wir wurden stets zuvorkommend behandelt und auch bedient.., „Wie man in den Wald ruft“ sage ich nur! Ich kann das Wirtshaus nur weiterempfehlen und sollte ich nochmal in der Nähe sein werde ich wiederkommen! Vielen Dank für einen schönen und entspannten Abend!!!

Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen, kann man nur empfehlen. Die Bedingung ist sehr nett und freundlich. Wir wurden herzlich von dem Herren hinter der Theke empfangen.

unsere Kinder wollten ohne uns zum goldenem M, so dass wir wie fast jeden Samstagabend auf uns alleine gestellt waren. Warum also nicht einfach mal etwas Essen gehen. Etwas was dem Wetter trotzt und wir spontan gut erreichen konnten. Danke an Google, denn uns wurde das Wirtshaus zum Schützenhof in Kelsterbach vorgeschlagen. Kurz angerufen und siehe da es gab sogar noch en Plätzchen für uns. Parkplatz vor der Tür (bei Regen sehr schön, es kann gerne so weitergehen) Drinnen trifft man auf gemütliches Wirtshausambiente und super freundliches Lächeln des Servicepersonals Helin und Marcel. Sicherlich eine sehr positiver Start und im nach hinein vielleicht der Grund für diesen sehr schönen Abend. In einer gemütlichen Ecke konnten wir Platz nehmen und schon bald durften wir in der gut sortierten Speisekarte unser Essen für den Abend aussuchen. Dazu ein gutes Glas Wein und der Abend wurde mit super leckerem Essen eine kurzweilige, kulinarisches Erlebnis der deutschen Wirtshausfreundlichkeit. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team für einen Abend, der sich wie ein Fest anfühlte! Die Schnitzel und der Kaiserschmarrn sind sehr lecker. Bestes Fleisch und knusprig gebraten. Die Preise sind auch angemessen.

Hier stimmt die Chemie noch. 5 Sterne weil das Konzept stimmt. Gute Ware zu ordentlichen Preisen bei liebevoller Gastgeberin. Die Vorspeise die Leberknödelnsuppe: Exzellent. Noch exzellenter die Hauptspeise Frankfurter Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat. Fantastisch. Das Fleisch ultrazart, saftig und aromatisch. Das möchte ich bald noch einmal haben. Ein ultimatives Geschmackserlebnis. Top Restaurant mit einem hervorragendem Personal.

Essen sehr lecker und ausreichend. Sehr nette Bedienung…leider sehr lange auf Rechnung gewartet. Eine weitere Bedienung wäre für Samstagabend angebracht gewesen. Ich werde dort definitiv wieder essen gehen!
