Quaint pub with home-made food.

Showed up at 11pm (supposed to be open until midnight) and while there were customers still there they wouldn't serve any food . Not much good advertising your place as a restaurant and not selling food . Wouldn't even offer to make a sandwich or a bowl of soup after we told them there was nothing else open in the area. Too bad you can't give zero stars for a review.

Just be there again and again and enjoy the food.

This is a real authentic Germany tarvern. Customers seem know each other and the restaurant owner very well. They are chattering, laughing, drinking! Really impressively warm, cozy, peaceful place to enjoy! I love it immediately when I walked in! The food is also very good! Very very decent portion given the price (I mainly live in Norway, So I could be biased). Service is very friendly. I am new to the town, there's a guy telling me the norm here and say welcome to me. Note: Better have some cash. Overall, an awesome place!

Friendly people, nice German meal in a low price! The dishes are not too big as a German dishes, but it's still in a German size. If you're not so used to German dishes, be prepared for a big dish.

Really cozy place. Wonderful owners greeting customers like friends. Only got a place on the bar as it was full on a Wednesday night. Had a pork steak with potatoes and salads - felt like a meal made at home. Prices are reasonable for German kneipe.

Gut bürgerliche Küche , geschmacklich super, Qualität super, freundlicher Service

Kneipe der traditionellen Art, mitten im Wohngebiet gelegen. Leckere Speisen mit Tagesgerichten. Herzliche Bedienung, hier kann man nen gemütlichen Abend verbringen. Ob nun der Stammtisch, oder der Mann mit Rätselheft.. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Man würde von außen nicht wirklich vermuten, wie gut man dort essen kann. Sieht aus wie ne Fußballkneipe in Dortmund. Aber super günstige Preise und das Steak war auf den Punkt gebraten. Konnte mich nicht entscheiden zwischen Bratkartoffeln und Pommes und mir wurde einfach beides gebracht ohne Aufpreis. Der Service war rustikal, sehr ehrlich und sehr herzlich. Wenn ich mal wieder in der Gegend bin, werde ich definitiv wiederkommen.

War richtig locker und so wie früher. Bierchen gut Essen gut und viele nette Leute. Schnäppchen auch gut.

Sehr netter Service, das Essen ist im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis kaum zu schlagen. Schade dass wir nur auf der Durchreise sind, hier würde ich öfters zu Gast sein.

Toller Ort für einen Abend. Wir waren im Ibis Flughafen untergebracht und haben dort einen entspannten Abend und leckeres Essen vor unserem Flug am nächsten Tag nach USA genossen.

nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuss vom Ibis Frankfurt Airport entfernt. Tolles ehrliches Essen, sehr nette Bedienung, urige Ambiente mit Biergarten, wo man auch ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommt. Wir hatten Pinchos mit Pommes und Salat, Mega lecker! Sehr zu empfehlen ist neben den Bieren auch der trockene Rotwein. Angemessene Preise!

War am Freitag 23.6.2023 mit meinem Bruder dort essen. Super Ambiente,Service sehr freundlich. Auch der Hund brauchte dort nicht zu hungern.👍👍 Essen war super lecker. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch super 👍👍 Nichts zu Beanstanden. Komme aus dem Raum Fulda. Immer wieder gerne. Petra

Wir können nichts negatives über die Dickworz sagen. Wenn man zwanglos mal was trinken und eine Kleinigkeit essen gehen möchte, ist es ein schönes Plätzchen. Nichts elegantes,kein Schnickschnack, alteingesessene Kneipe mit vielen netten Menschen.

Wir haben uns zufällig fürs Dickworz entschieden. Service war nett, Essen lecker, ich hatte Pinchos mit Pommes und mein Wein war auch sehr lecker. Eine Kneipe mit gutem Essen, Preis Leistung top und richtig guter Musik.

Bewertung von 2023: Eine gemütliche, kleine Kneipe mit leckeren Essen. Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort.

This such an amazing super local bar. Its your small town local bar with great food around the corner. The people there were very friendly. The food, particularly the steak, was great. The beer is cold and delicious. If you're in town I would definitely recommend.

Dans la zone vous avez le choix entre le bar de votre hôtel ou ce restaurant familiale ; de prime abord restaurant sans prétention mais une fois dans l’établissement beaucoup de charme, d’authenticité et de simplicité. Pour l’Allemagne c’est plutôt pas mal, pas trop de sauce et de pommes de terre… l’assiette est bien remplie et c’est assez bon marché mais attention il faut boire avant de commander – je confirme un commentaire précédent, il n’y a pas de dessert. Ça fait le job pour un soir, je vous conseille ce restaurant avec du cash car il n’accepte pas ma carte de crédit.

Seit über 40 Jahren gleichbleibende Qualität. Kleinigkeiten zum Essen, aber auch Rumsteak einfach lecker, verschiedene Biere vom Fass - auch lecker. .. Preise sind auch in Ordnung, wir lieben sein Poncho....

Seit über 30 Jahren die gleiche und bewährte kleine Speisekarte. Keine Experimente und Schnick-Schnack. Eine Kelsterbacher Institution!

Nette alte Kneipe. Viele lokale Leute, die Karten kloppen oder einfach nen Bier trinken. Durchaus interessant.

Der beste Rindfleischsalat, den ich jemals gegessen habe! Sonderwünsche werden immer und sehr freundlich erfüllt! Preis-Leistung top! Vielen Dank, ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

If you’re staying in one of the hotels in the area of the airport, forget about eating in the hotel! Come and support this local family business. Excellent fresh, homemade food and kind people. Recommended

We walked here from the IBIS Hotel in Kelsterbach and had a wonderful meal with great German pilsner beer. The paprika schnitzel was delicious as was the grilled pork, and both were served with a salad and pommes frites. It is a local restaurant/bar and was indeed filled with people from the neighborhood. I speak German well and did all the talking for our group, so I have no idea if the workers there speak English. Everybody was very friendly, and we would definitely eat here again.

Hier fühlt man sich gleich, wie zuhause . Einfache aber sehr gut zubereitete Speisen und eine herzliche Bedienung. Im Sommer auch auf der Terrasse. Sport bzw. Fussballfans , kommen hier voll auf Ihre Kosten. Hier ist niemand fremd. Zu empfehlen, sind "Chrusti´s" Spaghetti Bolognese (auch überbacken) sowie "Handkäs mit Musik " aber auch alle anderen Gerichte , sind üppig und sehr schmackhaft .

This was my first trip to Kelsterbach and it's fair to say that first impressions weren't great. However, if you spend a bit of time on TripAdvisor you can find some little gems like this place. We were looking for somewhere for a couple of beers after work and had already made plans for dinner elsewhere (Zum Treffpunkt - also well worth a visit). We arrived at around 5:30pm and were the only customers. However we received a warm greeting and grabbed a seat on the patio in the sun. An hour later the place was filling up and from what we could see the food looked very good. The beer was good, the service was great and the bill was low (3.5 euro for 500ml pilsner). Frankly you couldn't ask for much more. If you're staying in one of the nearby "airport" hotels (Mercure, Ibis, Moxy etc) I'd skip the hotel bar and head straight here.

Wir waren hier it der Familie zum Essen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, aber es findet jeder etwas. Außerdem gab es zusätzlich 2 Tagesgerichte. Das Essen kam gleichzeitig und war schmackhaft. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsver- hältnis.

Not a glamorous spot...a neighbourhood bar with locals...really top value, had star , potatoes , onions and salad , with 2 small draught beers for €19. Food was superb (9.30 at night) no pretence, not fancy, just great...close to Ibis.

Eine urige Atmosphäre mit vielen Stammkunden, kleine Auswahl an Gerichten aber alle schmeckt hervorragend! Fähre Preise und eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Wenn wir wieder mal in Nähe sind kommen wir wieder.

We were staying at the IBIS hotel and found this local restaurant just a 5 minute walk away. We had two pleasant meals here, one after the flight into Frankfurt and one the night before we flew out. We returned because of the good food and good vibes. You can sit on the patio or inside. The portions are generous. Good salads, excellent meat, nice beer and smiles from the wait staff. Very enjoyable both times.

Enak sekali makan di sini, yg ngerti bahasa indonesia, wajib makan di sini, cocok dgn selera kita.. taste so good.. amazing..

wir waren an einem montag abend dort. das lokal ist eher für ein gemütliches bier mit freunden geeignet, wir wollten aber essen. der wirt und seine tocher (ich nehme an sie war es) sind sehr freundlich und wir wurden schnell bedient. Die Tomatensuppe war nichts besonderes, aber trotzdem lecker. der Salat mit Hühnchen war wirklich super (hätte ich nie erwartet, passt eig. nicht zum ambiente). meine kollegen waren auch zufrieden (salat mit rind und schweinesteak mit bratkartoffeln). dazu war das essen noch billig. (suppe, große cola und der salat für 15€)

Einladende Atmosphäre. Offensichtlich viele - zufriedene - Stammgäste. Nette, freundliche Bedienung. Steak war sehr gut. Wünschte, ich hätte so ein Lokal bei mir um die Ecke...

Good food, home made . Restaurant is a typical German bar. Food range is limited but guess all is something to recommend. Don't forget to taste their Apfelwein. Range of drinks us good. Service is fast , attentive and friendly. Prices are average or below of that. No wifi . Next to the ibis hotel airport Frankfurt. Recommended. Menu prices s bilingual

Es gibt bodenständiges, leckeres, selbstgemachtes Essen und einen lustigen Wirt. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist übersichtlich, aber einer Kneipenwirtschaft angemssen. Es gibt täglich was besonderes. Das Dickworz hat eine schlichte, lockere, lebendige und kneipoeske Atmosphäre. Es gibt einen Fernseher, der als mal bei Fussball läuft, etliche Kartenspieler und Stammgäste und an jedem zweiten Dientag im Monat treffen sich dort ab 19.30 Uhr die PIRATEN des Kreisverbandes Groß-Gerau.

This is a great neighborhood bar & grill which was within walking distance of our Ibis Hotel. Had a great evening with the locals , a huge serving of food , and draft beer. It has a limited menu but everything was fresh and great. Certainly worth the money for our last night in Germany and convenient to our hotel and the airport. Would recommend.

Similar to another review we can across this place for being open late to grab some food while staying at the hotel Ibis. The hotel suggested another restaurant but even at 9pm that place was packed. So we found Dickworz. It's a neighborhood pub filled with locals. Service was polite but a slight communication issue with English. Beers were cheap and cold. The menu was limited with a few pork steak dishes that we weren't to sure about the cooking methods so we stuck with sandwiches. These things were huge! The bread was literally half a focaccia loaf with salami tomatoes cheese slices and mayo (a little too much mayo for my liking) and it came with a salad for €5,50. We order a portion for fries which was also huge for €2,00. The fries came out first and the sandwiches took some time which was interesting but I think because they heated them. It was good but so much food. It's a local hang so expect local offerings and nothing fancy.

Staying for one night at IBIS Hotel and were not impressed with there restaurant options. By chance wandered in to this little pub. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Beer was good and service was pleasant. Has the appearance of a sports ba but food was great. Not a huge menu but several pork dishes. A chicken dish and beef steak as well. Out if the way spot but great for folks staying in hotels without a decent restaurant... I would recommend it.

I don't remember how many years I come to this Restaurant / Pub / Bar, I think nearly from the beginning and I always enjoyed it, even I come alone because Krusti and Andrea always take care of you, always funny and many jokes. So now I am far away but it's a must for me to say hello when I come to Germany. The best Chili Con Carne but not always available.

They don't accept credit cards. The only good thing about the meal was the salad. Nice pub, not a restaurant.
