Let's start with the ambiance... Very well-kept, superb decor. Everything is very modern. On the subject of food, I had the burger with fries... Unfortunately, I have to say it wasn't warm, and the fries weren't either. I find mixing a burger sauce with ketchup and mayo a bit lackluster. But it's filling...

Despite the busy streets surrounding the restaurant, it's beautifully located. It's a pleasant place to sit, and the ambiance is appealing. The food was delicious. My server was also extremely attentive. I'd love to come back 🫶👌🏼👍💚💕

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner yesterday, Friday afternoon (September 5th), and were very impressed. The old inn, which we remembered from 2022, had been renovated to be modern, stylish, yet cozy. Lots of wood, good lighting, cloth napkins, lovely decorative elements, wines listed on the wall, a good menu with many tarte flambée variations, as well as other traditional dishes with something for everyone. Very friendly staff and absolutely MEGA-good food! We had Eifel potato soup, tarte flambée with smoked trout, apple and horseradish cream, and slices of beef with an absolutely fantastic carrot and beetroot salad with thyme and delicious homemade napkin dumplings, also with herbs inside. A revelation in terms of taste! To go with a glass of wonderful Riesling from the Moselle. Highly recommended. We'll be back. Unfortunately, we live in Vienna and it's time, otherwise this would definitely become a regular for us. Thank you for the wonderful culinary experience!

It's now autumn, and we have a new menu. Our choices this time are Cordon Bleu and the Butter Schnitzel. As always, the service and food are excellent.

Everything is just right here. A cozy restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. And even though it's right on the street, a visit to the terrace is also quite pleasant.

A very bad experience. We ordered food but didn't receive anything. Customers who arrived 15 or 30 minutes after us had received their food before us. Then the waiter came to tell us there was a problem with the internet and that's why our order hadn't been placed. I think the waiter simply forgot about us... It's a shame; we spent an hour there for nothing.

A wonderful place in the heart of the Eifel region. I can't describe how warm the atmosphere and the people there are. The food and the selection are fantastic! The tarte flambée is one of the many dishes that I highly recommend. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for the great evening and also for their special commitment outside of opening hours. It was a very pleasant evening and a real treat. I would definitely recommend it; you get your money's worth here in terms of taste, price, and atmosphere! The food was very good! However, as hikers, we felt a bit inhospitable and uncomfortable. The young waitresses seemed nice. Unfortunately, we only received the dessert menu after asking. Even here, we had the feeling that the local regulars were greeted and served a bit more friendly. After we both ordered several drinks and ate for over €80, my friend filled his bottle with tap water in the bathroom for the rest of the hike. The owner (?) then rather rudely informed him in front of other guests that this wasn't possible and that the faucet would break when refilling it. Gritting our teeth, our bottles were then refilled at the bar. In retrospect, we should have asked about the water, of course. However, we would have preferred a more professional handling of the situation. In general, as hikers and Rhinelanders, we have often experienced a friendlier and more open culture of stopping off at restaurants on our travels – especially in "inns." Despite the good food, we would not come back and unfortunately would not recommend the inn to anyone passing through.

Good food for a reasonable price

Everything was great, delicious, good staff.

The tavern goulash was perfect, the asparagus cream soup was like water with flavor, and the schnitzel with 5 stalks of asparagus had too little sauce and was too weak!

I visited this extraordinary inn on the occasion of the Bitburg slaughter festival and I won't miss any of these events in the future. What's on the plate is absolutely outstanding! I just have two small critiques: many visitors bring dogs, so it would be nice to be asked if a dog is seated next to us. Also, while the salad was amazingly delicious, it was a bit gritty. Had dinner here this week. Staff was nice, and the inn was new and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, service was only mediocre to poor. Many service staff, some of whom were inexperienced, were looked after by a waitress who did her job well but seemed to be overwhelmed at times. Our drinks were taken after 20 minutes and food could only be ordered after 40 minutes. The food then took another 40 minutes to arrive. Flambée was cold, schnitzel was standard and at that price I would have expected a side salad without having to order it separately. There are enough restaurants and even sports restaurants where you can get something better in terms of quality and more in terms of quantity for the same money. In and of itself I would have expected more. The team is certainly still adjusting and I think they are aware that there is definitely still room for improvement. Good luck with the restaurant.

We were looking for a special restaurant near the maar. When asked about this, the landlady of the inn at the Maaren in front of her door was particularly friendly, helpful, and was able to explain the route to us. The path to competition. We will soon reward this with a visit to her at the “Wirtshaus zu den Maaren”!!
