The restaurant appears rather simple from the outside, but the interior is very modern and tastefully decorated. The food is delicious. There's something for every taste. The staff is very attentive and friendly. During our visit, there were a lot of guests to serve, but the service staff weren't a problem. The value for money is absolutely acceptable. We felt very comfortable and had a very pleasant evening. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Good food for a reasonable price

Everything was great, delicious, good staff.

The tavern goulash was perfect, the asparagus cream soup was like water with flavor, and the schnitzel with 5 stalks of asparagus had too little sauce and was too weak!

We ate there in the evening and it was very tasty :) There is an outside terrace and a tarte flambée menu with extraordinary creations :)

We went there for dinner on Thursday. The restaurant was busy for this time of year, but the staff were still very hospitable and efficient. We had schnitzel, tarte flambée, and goulash, and we were all delighted. The value for money is good; we highly recommend it.

We were there for the slaughter festival and were more than thrilled. The large slaughter platter was, to say the least, brilliant and my wife also really enjoyed the vegan pasta, everything was super delicious. I visited this extraordinary inn on the occasion of the Bitburg slaughter festival and I won't miss any of these events in the future. What's on the plate is absolutely outstanding! The salad, the great draft beer, the nice service, the friendly landlady and the tastefully restored restaurant form a great unity! I can only highly recommend this house.

No complaints overall—extremely friendly staff and a warm, cozy atmosphere. The food was of great quality. I just have two small critiques: many visitors bring dogs, so it would be nice to be asked if a dog is seated next to us. Also, while the salad was amazingly delicious, it was a bit gritty. Had dinner here this week. Staff was nice, and the inn was new and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, service was only mediocre to poor. Many service staff, some of whom were inexperienced, were looked after by a waitress who did her job well but seemed to be overwhelmed at times. Our drinks were taken after 20 minutes and food could only be ordered after 40 minutes. The food then took another 40 minutes to arrive. Flambée was cold, schnitzel was standard and at that price I would have expected a side salad without having to order it separately. There are enough restaurants and even sports restaurants where you can get something better in terms of quality and more in terms of quantity for the same money. In and of itself I would have expected more. The team is certainly still adjusting and I think they are aware that there is definitely still room for improvement. Good luck with the restaurant.

We were looking for a special restaurant near the maar. When asked about this, the landlady of the inn at the Maaren in front of her door was particularly friendly, helpful, and was able to explain the route to us. The path to competition. We will soon reward this with a visit to her at the “Wirtshaus zu den Maaren”!!

We ate there at Easter, the tables were almost all occupied, despite the number of guests, the service was very relaxed and friendly, from ordering to the food being on the table was quick. The food was very good and the price was reasonable. Can be highly recommended.

Very nicely renovated and the service is very friendly. Unfortunately, my portions were quite small, so I found the (at first glance) low price to be too high. The burger on my first visit was of solid snack quality, but the way it was served was extremely uncreative and the portion was too small. The tarte flambée on the second visit tasted okay, but was too small. The drinks menu is pleasingly extensive. The overall impression of my companion's food was more appealing and more plentiful than mine, hence just four stars.

Hungry hikers in particular will find a good menu here... a good place for those who like it plain and simple. Sanitary facilities are very well maintained, as is the entire restaurant. The outdoor terrace invites you to linger in the sunshine.

TOP - After the renovation, the inn is modern and very comfortably furnished - we had a great evening! The service team was very friendly and accommodating and the Gaffel Kölsch on tap was good. Kudos to the kitchen - all the dishes came quickly, were to the point, warm and the prices are really "normal"... We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to the next evening at the Wirtshaus zu den Maaren!

Oh man that was delicious. Just delicious "plain German" food. Very friendly girls at the counter. Enjoyed our 18th wedding anniversary dinner. We live nearby and would love to come and enjoy it again soon.

We had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for the food. In our opinion, cocktails are very overpriced at just under €9. The food isn't exactly cheap either and was ok considering the price, but not outstanding. We won't be coming back for these reasons.

Eines der wenigen Restaurants in der Umgebung wo man auch gut vegetarisch essen kann. Sehr nettes Personal und sehr gutes Essen!

Ich habe tatsächlich nichts bestellt außer ein Glas Wasser, ich habe aber eine Flasche bekommen, dies fand ihr sehr sehr nett weil bei diesem Wetter sollte man genug trinken. Dies zeigt das wertvolle Mitgefühl und die Sorge der Mitarbeiterinnen für den Kunden. Allerdings habe ich die Mayonnaise probiert. Ich habe eine Packung Mayonnaise ausgesaugt die ich zuvor meinem vielgeliebten Bruder entwendet habe, diese habe ich auf der Toilette sozusagen getrunken. Ich empfehle ihnen Diese Vorzügliche Mayo (Mayonnaise). Nächstes mal komme ich für den Ketchup diesen werde ich auf dem Damenklo verspeisen (Ich bin ein Mann). Lg euer Mayonnaisenverspeiser Ps Bedienung sah auch lecker aus. Mhhhh lecker Mavonnaise («) !!!

Wir waren in der Ecke im Hotel und sind abends zum Essen hingefahren , sehr schöne ausenterrasse, sehr nette Bedienung & das Essen war super lecker und große Portionen. Preis Leistung sehr gut 👍
