Nice restaurant with delicious ice cream. The food is also quite good, but quite upscale. We thought it was a shame that all the (seemingly) regulars around us were offered a nightcap on the house after paying – but not us, even though we left a lot of money, including a tip. Unfortunately, we were also bothered by smoking guests throughout the entire meal. It would be great if there were either designated areas for smoking guests, or if smoking was simply not allowed – some guests were sitting with their children in the smoke, and we really couldn't enjoy our food. In the end, non-smokers have to enjoy their food too, and children should always be taken into consideration when it comes to smoking in public spaces!

Very good ice cream at reasonable prices. The shaded terrace was wonderful for sitting and eating.

Unfortunately, I've eaten frozen food that tasted better than this pizza. The dough and toppings were far from perfect. Why is it that every delivery service manages to make a higher-quality pizza these days, but this restaurant can't? Diavolo is supposed to have a hint of spice, but they didn't focus on that here either, which is a shame. I also had to wait forever for my drink, despite the quiet company. A lot of things are wrong inside, too, true to the motto "nobody will notice." Unfortunately, I did. The emergency lighting signs are broken and incorrectly installed. It almost seems like, "I don't care what happens to the customer if there's a fire." Nice!

The ice cream is a dream with great new creations.

The food there is delicious, and both the interior and exterior areas are very stylish. The service could be a bit friendlier, as they seemed rather irritated at times.

I ate a gluten-free pizza with 4 cheeses. Delicious and safe, and I didn't have any reactions. The staff were clearly knowledgeable.

Nice ambiance. The service, however, was really bad (more details to follow). Unfortunately, the €7 spaghetti ice cream wasn't impressive either. A shame. We would have liked to give this place a chance.

The staff is friendly, the food is allright, and the ice is great. The only thing that really ruined the experience was the wait time. We visited 2 times. 1 time for food, and 1 time to eat a ice indoors. In both cases, we waited longer then average. For the ice being ordered, it took a good 15 minutes to finally get it.

Very nasty ice cream why tastes like ready made ice cream and never homemade

The food was very tasty. We had a variety of dishes. They also offer gluten-free pasta. There was a €4 surcharge for this, which is fine. Otherwise, the prices were fine and cheaper than in other restaurants.

Very tasty food, large outdoor area, normal prices and the cappuccino and ice cream for dessert were perfect.

We spent a very pleasant evening there. The atmosphere was super nice and well-kept, and the staff were extremely friendly despite the many occupied tables. The food was very tasty and served quickly. The price/performance ratio for this location was more than fair.

We ate pizza here once and ice cream once. It was okay. The prices were a bit high. The terrace is quite nice to sit on.

Very pleasant meal, simple but nourishing cuisine. There is a good number of staff, but the follow-up seemed a little complicated... Fortunately, our life didn't depend on the bottle, which never arrived.

Cosy Italian restaurant with excellent dishes. Smooth, friendly and hospitable service. Recommended if you are in Daun. Delicious food, several times. Pizza, pasta or salad. There is plenty of choice. You can choose a small variant yourself at a reduced price. Reservations are wise. Alla prossima!

Very delicious ice cream Definitely worth a visit!

I ate ice cream here twice, it was OK.

They're knowledgeable about allergens and even offer gluten-free pizza. The ice cream is also gluten-free (except for cookies and other flavors). However, there's no direct labeling on the flavor labels. We managed to get a table spontaneously (without a reservation) and received attentive and friendly service.

A very nice café-pizzeria-ice cream parlor, family-friendly and quiet. The ice cream was very tasty and the portions were large. The coffee was delicious. We had a lovely afternoon there after the hike, the kids also had fun :)

We ended up there by chance, after a long day of hiking in the Eifel. Pizza and pasta were wonderful, reasonably priced given the good quality of the ingredients. Definitely coming back on your next Eifel vacation.

Pizza is good, the tomato soup is absolutely great. Unfortunately, I think the prices are a bit exaggerated. I'm happy to pay a little more for good food, but I find that a bit cheeky at times. I find the 4.50 extra charge for shrimp on the pizza (and unfortunately there were only 4 pieces!!) very excessive. Hence 3/5 stars

Nach unserem Besuch am 07.02.2025 leiden wir unter unter erheblichen Gesundheitsschäden. Der Betreiber ist teilnahmslos und beteuert seine "hohe Qualität", gibt jedoch nachweislich zu, gekühlte und vorgefertigte Ware zu verwenden... Ein Erfahrungsbericht als Kunde seit über 20 Jahren. Diese Entwicklung ist nicht zumutbar und gefährdet Sie alle als Kunden dieses "Restaurants" Lo Stivale in Daun. Bitte seien Sie vorsichtig, alles Gute für Ihre künftige Gesundheit. Waren mit einer Gruppe von 16 Leuten Abendessen. Die Speisen wurden vorab bestellt. Die Pizza war sehr zäh. Einige haben sich ein Steakmesser bestellt. Es muss am Teig nachgebessert werde. Sonst war es gut.

We hadn't made a reservation, the four of us came spontaneously after a hike at 7 p.m. and were really hungry. Everything was full. After a short wait, the boss organized a table for us. At another pizzeria in town we were sent away again. Thank you for that!

Nice little pizzeria, but for me it doesn't have much Italian flair. Pizza was mediocre rather than outstanding. It's bad enough that there seems to be better pizza in a kebab shop than there.

Een dag eerder vingen we bot omdat het restaurant al volgeboekt was en dus gingen we dag daarop. Het restaurant zat weer vol. Omdat de tafels redelijk dicht op elkaar staan is het erg onrustig. Als je bij het raam zit merk je dat de ramen wind doorlaten en bij een koude avond is dat niet fijn. Bediening is goed. De minestrone soep viel tegen. Een beetje waterig met weinig smaak. Dus geen echte volle minestrone. De dag special was een pasta met gorgonzola en walnoten. Smaakte goed maar een veel te grote portie. De Spaghetti Armatriciana smaakte goed. Helaas viel de Tiramisu erg tegen. Droog en je miste de koffiesmaak. Kortom ruimte voor verbetering. We kozen voor de rode huiswijn. Die was goed, maar verrasssend was dit ook de duurste rode wijn. Meestal geldt dat niet voor de huiswijn.

Die Servicekräfte sind aufmerksam und freundlich! Das Eis zum Schluss war wirklich gut. Vorspeise und Hauptgang haben nicht mehr als drei Punkte verdient, hier ist erheblich Luft nach oben.

Very good pizza, delicious pasta, good salads in a modern atmosphere, indoors and outdoors.

We had to wait a very long time for our food (more than half an hour before the menu arrived, after 40 minutes of drinks and after more than an hour of food). I recommend that you book in advance, we would have done the same, but it would still take a very long time. We were here because of gluten-free food for our son. That in itself was good and nice that he could finally eat a GV pizza again.

Staff is too busy. We were seated for over 25 minutes before we were able to order drinks. Very unfriendly as well. It's way too popular due to being almost the only non-schnitzel restaurant in town.

Very good restaurant, I've known it for years. And no matter what food - so far it has always been excellent. Please call in advance even on weekdays. Yesterday we were lucky and were able to get a table for two hours for a time slot of 2 hours. And it was again very tasty (and whole wheat pasta is also offered!)

Many restaurants in this Eifel region are rather rustic and meat-heavy. This Italian restaurant brings truly outstanding food to the table, great service, reasonable prices. You can tell that there is really an Italian team doing their passionate work here. Particularly pleasing: You can of course also order the great ice cream sundaes for dessert. Congratulations on your current 10th anniversary! We will definitely be back very soon!

It was a visit again after a long time. I realized what I was missing. Four pasta dishes to kneel down on. The service is totally friendly and the ambience can only be improved in some nuances anyway. Price / offer: Very good. Thank you for the lovely evening.

A group of 8 of us spontaneously had dinner there on Thursday evening. The atmosphere is absolutely great and modern. The service was very attentive, people often asked whether everything was OK or something was missing. The food was delicious and plentiful, of top quality! Clear recommendation from us!

Pizzas are delicious, there's nothing to complain about. However, relatively small for the price asked. Communication with guests is underground. No matter whether on site or when pre-ordering over the phone, you always get the impression that the service is annoyed at having to take an order. It's incomprehensible to me. Only order there when Don Fra is closed...

At 12pm on a Sunday the place was half full. When we asked if we could have a café (there were two of us) we were told it was full and there was no space available. The woman seemed very unfriendly to us and we thought that they didn't want us as guests.

Cozy restaurant with a beautiful terrace. The food is traditional Italian with lots of home-made pasta, the ice cream is also home-made, the salmon and pasta are great and the rum steak is really worth the money. Ask for the wine list, here you will find delicious Italian wines from Tuscany, Garda and Sud Tirol. The ca del frattis are highly recommended and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly.

Delicious food in nice surroundings

We are currently at the Center Parcs in Gunderath and yesterday we came to Lo Stivale in Daun for dinner. First impression from the outside was great, first impression in the restaurant unfortunately not. We were greeted by a service person who was either in a bad mood, didn't feel like having guests or something else... unfortunately that lasted the whole evening for her, which was a real shame!!! The food, on the other hand, was super tasty and the atmosphere is really nice. A thumbs up to the kitchen 👏🏻 We'd love to come back when we're in the area again.

Das Essen - ich hatte “ Muscheln “ , meine FreundInnen Pizza , Lasagne oder Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten und hinterher ein super Eis - war sehr lecker! Preis / Leistung topp ! In Frankfurt liegt die Hälfte aufm Teller oder im Topf für teilweise mehr Geld! Schade : etwas mehr “ Willkommen “ - Gefühl hätte ich mir gewünscht, dann wärs ein 4 Sterne plus gewesen! In one week's time we went twice to this restaurant.Twice it was a very nice experience. The service is friendly and quick. The food is absolutely delicious. It's not exactly cheap but worth its money.Whenever again in Daun, we'll be back!

Leider hatte ich ein langes, weißes Haar in meinem Essen, so etwas kann mal passieren. Ich habe den Kellner höflich darauf hingewiesen. Er wieß meine Aussage ungläubig zurück und belächelte uns. In der Küche habe keiner diese Haarfarbe. Ich bat um eine einfache Entschuldigung, dieser Bitte kam der Kellner nicht nach. Sehr unprofessionell und unfreundlich. Wir kamen normalerweise gerne, zukünftig werden wir wo anders hingehen. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt.

Hier findet man noch eine "richtige" Pizza! Sehr lecker, toller Service und gemütliches Ambiente.

Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker. Das Ambiente gefällt uns sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
