A wonderful meal. An excellent rump steak, the crème brûlée was perfect, and the coffee at the end was a delight. Everything was served at just the right intervals, and always with a friendly attitude. I felt welcome and very comfortable here, and the music selection was also excellent.

Better leave it and walk a bit further. Going to an Italian restaurant on the Baltic Sea is a bad idea. Erasco from a can isn't any worse, but it's cheaper. I've rarely eaten so badly for so much money. Still, respect for daring to run a restaurant. Good luck.

It was incredibly delicious, and the price was absolutely reasonable, in fact, very reasonable. The spaghetti Bolognese for 10 euros, with good ground beef and no pre-mixed ingredients, was fantastic! The zander was absolutely fantastic, and the nuggets with fries for the kids were also very tasty! Great atmosphere outside by the forest.

We had a truly delicious and fresh meal here. The zander fillet was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were crisp, and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. The spaghetti Bolognese was just right, and the chicken nuggets were also a hit with our little one! We were genuinely surprised by how good the food is. The beer garden is a quiet, idyllic setting. We spontaneously had dinner at the Waldschenke today... perfect for us... Excellent food, friendly atmosphere, and service... and all at fair prices... We are very satisfied and will definitely visit the Waldschenke again...

Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The tables weren't prepared. Only after we'd already eaten were the tables clothed and the chairs cushioned. The food was lukewarm. Unfortunately, we only paid in cash, and there was no bill or receipt. Not really recommended. Answers: Part 2. First of all, I was on vacation in Trassenhaide for two weeks. It didn't rain the day or the two days before, otherwise I wouldn't have written this. We didn't wait or argue, we ate right away. It was just cold. It's a shame that people here don't even own up to their mistakes.

As guests at the campsite and looking for somewhere to eat, we passed by the Waldschänke restaurant. Rather unassuming from the outside, it seemed inviting inside. The beer garden offered plenty of space. The service was very attentive. The food didn't take long to arrive. The dishes were well presented and tasted good. They asked if they'd like a salad. The customer should be informed whether this is a side dish or an extra. The extra also costs "extra." Similarly with drinks, the customer should be asked whether they want a large or small drink. Otherwise, we'd be happy to go back!

We were here for a rump steak with chanterelle mushrooms. The rump steak tasted good, but there were only four chanterelle mushrooms on the plate. When we asked about it, we were told that rump steak was expensive, so you can't expect many chanterelle mushrooms. Furthermore, card payments weren't accepted, nor was there a proper invoice with VAT. That was disappointing. (It had already been mentioned at the table that out of six people, only three received a rump steak with plenty of sauce and four chanterelle mushrooms. There was no proper cash register; everything was added up using a calculator.) Perhaps they should do an audit.

While looking for a restaurant, we came across the Waldschänke. We made a reservation, but it wasn't necessary. That might change in the future. We were able to sit outside, and there was also a playground for the child. The service was very friendly and knew what she was doing. Since we had never been there before, I had to be a bit adventurous. So, for starters, we had sweet potato soup with shrimp. If you really want to try something new, you should definitely give it a try. It was really unexpectedly delicious. There was also rösti with salmon, also delicious. The spaghetti aglio e olio was perfectly fine for the price of €9. There was also a veal schnitzel with fries for €24. For dessert, we had a Dubai ice cream sundae. We did have to wait a bit for the ice cream sundae, for which the service apologized, as it is a bit more time-consuming to prepare, but the wait was still worth it. The ice cream sundae was amazing. Conclusion: It was a wonderful evening, and we ate well for our money, rather than paying a lot for poor food, as is common in many restaurants during the holiday season. We wish the new owners the best of luck and, above all, many satisfied guests and great reviews. Unfortunately, I was so impressed with the soup that I forgot to take a picture.

I had dinner with my father, and we were both very satisfied. I had the lemon risotto with shrimp, arugula, and finely shaved Parmesan, and I have to say that despite its unique combination, it tasted good. The risotto could have been a bit lighter, but the flavor was still very good. My father had zander fillet with Mediterranean vegetables and rosemary potatoes. The zander was very well cooked and nicely seasoned, and together with the very well-seasoned sautéed vegetables, it made a delicious dish. Highly recommended

We ate at the Waldschänke several times last week with our three grandchildren. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, very good food at reasonable prices. All in all, it was a pleasure to eat there, which unfortunately isn't often possible these days. I keep my fingers crossed that the owners continue to develop their restaurant, that many people read the predominantly positive reviews, and that they aren't put off by the limited parking in front of the Waldschänke. A short walk from the parking lot on Strandstraße to the Waldschänke (about 600 meters) will whet your appetite even further for the delicious food that awaits you there. I wish everyone a pleasant summer and lots of fun in Trasenheide.

Yesterday, six of us (two children and four adults) went there for dinner. The food was delicious, the landlady was super friendly, and the restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere. The children were able to play on the playground that's part of the grounds. The prices were absolutely reasonable. I highly recommend it, especially if you're traveling with children like we were.

We relied on the many good reviews and were unfortunately disappointed. The food was lukewarm, the portion sizes weren't filling even for our elementary school-aged son. The taste was also rather poor. The service was friendly and clearly trying hard, but the food didn't impress us. Card payment was "unfortunately" not possible at the time, of course, and the bill was a Post-it note with the total amount on it – without any item breakdown. To be honest, I would have liked to give it a higher rating, but this was simply frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. By the way, there are NO vegan dishes available, even upon request. I'm not rating that here, but I still think it's a shame. Update 07/07/25: After the owner responded: As can be seen from the photos here on Google, the soups are not listed under "appetizers." So, it's not clear to me that these were supposed to be appetizers, as is being suggested here. We actually had a starter salad. If the soups are appetizers, why weren't they served with the salad, but as a main course? Moreover, they were only lukewarm and watery. Card payments are a common standard in 2025, and there's no reason not to offer them. Of course, that leads to a downgrade for me; a note on the door won't help. And if cards aren't accepted, I expect a reasonable bill, not a Post-it note. My rating, as described, does not refer to the range of vegan dishes. However, it would be easy to offer them, and it's a shame that this isn't the case. That's it.

The food was absolutely delicious, not quite hot but very tasty. Unfortunately, much of it was sold out by the evening. The outdoor area is okay, but more like a bistro than a restaurant. Dogs are welcome, by the way. What was a real surprise was that for non-overnight guests, they only serve non-alcoholic drinks, meaning water, juice, and soft drinks—not even a beer.

A wonderful new start at the Waldschänke Trassenheide This morning we visited the reopened Waldschänke in Trassenheide – finally open again after almost two years of closure! The new hosts make a very friendly and dedicated impression. The breakfast was excellent: fresh, plentiful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is cozy, and you can immediately feel the closeness to nature and the tranquility of the surroundings. Dinner is also offered – we haven't tried it yet, but if it's as good as the breakfast, you can certainly look forward to a delicious end to the day. We would definitely like to come back.

Unfortunately, the friendly, very young waitress didn't speak any German, so we were supposed to show our wishes on the menu. I felt kind of sorry for her... I chose the beef fillet with grilled vegetables and fried potatoes for €28! Unfortunately the fillet was fried to death and was tough as a shoe sole. I passed the meat over to my husband, who could eat it. I knew the oven vegetables, I always get them from the freezer at Aldi. The fried potatoes were not fried, but briefly sautéed with a few diced ham. From the table you could watch the guests of the holiday apartments on their terraces in the Schlübbi 🙉 Overall a big disappointment.

Unfortunately, this was not the case and seemed very amateurish Then we ordered two Hawaiian schnitzels with fried potatoes. Plus a fries for our daughter The fries came, albeit without cutlery, and a full 45 (!!!!) minutes before we had our food. We waited almost an hour for the food Large Cola is on the menu with 0.5l, 0.4 is served The schnitzel seemed like frozen goods, the fried potatoes definitely were If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have driven without eating. All in all, absolutely not worth a visit, taste was so-so

Maritimes Restaurant im Innenbereich, großer Freisitz bunt gewürfelt gestaltet im Außenbereich. Atmosphäre des Freisitz ist mit wechselnder Partymusik aller Richtungen, also nichts für Ruhesuchende. Das ist ein wichtiger Hinweise für alle kommenden Übernachtungsgäste. Für einen lauen Sommerabend geht das als Restaurantgast in Ordnung. Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell, hätte 5 Sterne verdient. Wir waren zum Burger-Abend vor Ort. Burger meiner Begleitung war gut, meiner leider nicht durch. Das Restaurant hätte ihn sofort getauscht, das darf trotzdem nicht passieren. Preis-Leistung ist okay, jedoch kein Hit. Wichtiger Hinweis, an den Themen-Abenden ruht die normale Abendkarte aus.

Liebes Waldschänke-Team, wir haben selten so gut gegessen wie gestern und heute Abend bei euch! Ob Mittwoch beim Schnitzeltag oder Donnerstag beim Grillabend. Man merkt, wie gerne ihr eure Gäste empfangt und bewirtet. Ihr steckt so viel Liebe und Herzblut rein und ich finde, das muss unbedingt gewertschätzt werden! Wir haben uns unheimlich wohl gefühlt, vor allem am Grillabend als wären wir bei Freunden eingeladen gewesen. Ein ganz ganz dickes Lob an euch alle, - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Eine klare Empfehlung und ab sofort ein "Muss" auf unserer Urlaubsplanung.

Ich schreibe selten schlechte Rezensionen aber hab durch einen gezielt gegen mich gerichteten, abwertenden Spruch des Gastwirtes sehr getroffen gefühlt. Generell, sind auch andere Mitreisende mit einem nicht so guten Eindruck aus dieser "Gast"stätte raus. Essen zu fritösenlastig und für die Leistung etwas zu teuer. Nachtrag: ich war Ende April dort.

Wir wurden sehr sonnig und herzlich empfangen zu unserem Frühstück,obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten. Das vielseitige Buffet hat wunderbar geschmeckt und war sehr nett mit Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Das künstlerische Ambiente des Lokals sowie die Sammeltassen, die aufgedeckt wurden für unser Frühstück hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt. Der Wirt bediente uns mit selbstloser Hingabe und erfüllte sogar unsere Sonderwünsche. Alles Gute für euch. Sollten wir noch einmal auf Usedom sein,kommen wir gerne noch einmal zu euch.

Ein absoluter Geheimtip in Trassenheide ist die Waldschänke, 3 coole Typen, mit Vincent als liebenswerten Chef, rocken die Gastronomie. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet und ist ein echter Genuß. Tolle Stimmung, hat einfach alles gepasst. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die Tür geht auf und man bekommt sofort ein freundliches Lächeln. Wir haben uns dort gleich wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Essen in der Waldschänke ist ganz fantastisch. Alles frische Zutaten und frisch zubereitet (wer auf Bratkartoffeln steht, sollte diese unbedingt probieren). Preis-Leistung passt auf jeden Fall und das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Waldschänke ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll und zugleich modern eingerichtet und gestaltet. Wunderschöne handgemalte Bilder im maritimen Stil schmücken das Restaurant. Auf Anfrage bekommt man die Kontaktdaten der Künstlerin und kann sogar Bilder erwerben. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Super Essen. Wir bekamen jeden Morgen ein Top Frühstück. Und vor allem ein super Gastwirt. 👍Macht weiter so. Hallo Vincent. Nach 7 Stunden Fahrt sind wir gut angekommen. Danke für 7 Tage köstliche Bewirtung. Der Schnitzeltag und der Grillabend mit Musik waren Spitze. Macht so weiter. Bis nächstes Jahr.
