IMBISS ZUM ANKER in Trassenheide

We were a group of five and only went for a small meal on New Year's Day evening (mainly to sit together in the evening, have a few drinks, dessert, and a light meal). We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Due to the restaurant's upcoming closure, not all the ingredients for the dishes on the menu were available. However, after speaking with the server, a great alternative was found for everyone. If we have the opportunity to go again, we would definitely come back (unfortunately, we rarely visit the same resort twice during our holidays).

Summer vacation 2024. Of the four of us adults, three wanted to eat fish. One doesn't eat fish. So we bought three fish orders and four drinks from him, and one more thing from another stall, and sat down on his chairs with everything. The owner saw this and verbally abused us terribly and very loudly (everyone stopped to listen), asking if we couldn't read the sign that nothing was to be eaten that wasn't his. A super unpleasant situation. We never went back to his stall for the rest of the vacation.

My wife is in rehab in Trassenheide, and we were looking for something good to eat. We didn't have a reservation, but we still managed to get a table for two. My wife is very particular about food, having learned it herself. She had herring with fried potatoes and loved it. The fried potatoes were fresh, and the dressing was fantastic. I ordered schnitzel with a fried egg and fries, and I can also say that the schnitzel was very tender, the fried egg was okay, and the fries were amazing. Both meals were well under €20 each, which isn't a given these days. One small drawback: there aren't many restrooms; if it's full, you'll have to wait in line. Nevertheless, we highly recommend this restaurant.

My son says they're the best shrimp he's ever eaten. Highly recommended. Everything is freshly prepared. The lady was very nice. Best wishes from here. Card payments accepted.
