Really enjoyable food and atmosphere.

The last time we ate there with the company was during Corona times, and I remember the street mill well. So, I suggested going there for a private family celebration. It was 7pm on a Monday evening and we were the only ones in the restaurant. There was no music playing, no waiters there, no one could be heard talking, it was like being at a funeral. Let's get to the main aspect, the food. Absolute disaster. Rump steak with salad. The steak medium ordered 250g. It came through and dead and had a maximum of 160 grams. It tasted like a pork steak. The salad with a touch of dressing. Impudence for almost 40 euros. Roast with dumplings, tasted like a limp mass and dumplings from lunch. Leberkäse with fried potatoes. Leberkäse was good and plentiful. A fried egg with it? A little bit and if the fried potatoes were maybe crispy the meal would have been the highlight of all. Tafelspitz. The plate is drowning in sauce, the potatoes without salt and the meat just warmed up. I actually wanted to eat some Kaiserschmarrn but I really lost the desire. At the end there was a gentian that simply tasted like vodka. All in all, the worst thing I've ever experienced in Wiesbaden. Pure disappointment and never worth a visit again. I'm sorry to have to say it like that, but anyone who delivers food so carelessly has to expect it and it shouldn't matter whether there were four people or forty in the restaurant.

Wonderful beer garden. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great when we visited, so we sat inside. It was also cozy there and because we were such chilblains, the heating was turned on especially for us. Extremely attentive and friendly service that is rarely found. Reordering is also no problem at all. We have eaten all of our red cabbage supplies. Soooo good. The portions were very large - we had the rest packed up - super delicious dark beer sauce and the dumplings were a poem. Everything was very tasty and very appetizingly prepared. I'm happy to spend 22 euros on a main course for the great service, the delicious food and the ambience. For us the price/performance ratio was right. We'll definitely be back. If the weather is right, you can work off some of the calories by playing mini golf (directly opposite).

The three of us ordered food over the phone. Instead of 30 minutes it took 45 minutes, but the bigger problem was that we had to pay €69 instead of €57 at Liferando, as the on-site prices + additional costs apply when ordering by telephone. However, it was delivered by a delivery driver. It was very tasty, but we learned from it. In our opinion, a difference of almost 20% just because of the different ordering method is not possible! I've really enjoyed being there so far, but I'll probably go somewhere else in the future.

Der Biergarten ist wirklich schön und der überdachte Bereich ist ideal für einen verregneten warmen Sommerabend. Schön gemütlich auch an kalten Abenden - wenn der Ofen an ist. Innen ist es eher unspektakulär. Der Service ist in der Regel freundlich und flott. Wir kommen schon länger in die Straßenmühle. Nach der letzten Preiserhöhung und nach ein paar Abenden mit den neuen Preisen, haben wir beschlossen, nicht mehr zu kommen. Diese Preise können wir nicht mehr akzeptieren - wir befinden uns doch in einem „Wirtshaus“ und nicht in einem gehobenen Restaurant. Mal ein paar Beispiele: Flammkuchen: 16,10 Euro, Aperol-Spritz: 10,60 Euro, 0,2 Riesling: 7,60 Euro usw. Im Schnitt sind Eure Preise im Vergleich zu anderen „Wirtshäusern“ in Wiesbaden unserer Meinung nach einfach zu hoch. Auch ist Euer Essen nicht besser geworden. Klar, alles wird teurer aber doch bitte auf dem Boden bleiben. Schade.

Ordered food by phone (the price wasn't mentioned, we actually just wanted to know if it was still being delivered and order via Lieferando). We then ordered directly by phone. Otherwise we were very satisfied, but €64 for two schnitzels with sauce and a children's portion of spaetzle is simply utopian. The portions delivered are even smaller than in the beer garden. But at the same price. Great beer garden, food and service, but never ordering again.

Service is very polite, be considerate of Bavarians when the beer garden is packed! But for freshly tapped Bavarian beer and great food, you can wait a few minutes longer! Even if I feel bad for ourselves, because the more crowded it is, the harder it is for us to find a good spot! 😁🙃😅😂🤣But give it a try, so far we haven't found anything we didn't like! So enjoy!!!! 🍻

A nice place with a good location and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a long wait and sometimes horrendous prices for a very small bowl of sauce for the schnitzel for 3.90. Bad potatoes and the burger not really seasoned and with a mini dollop of sauce. Overall, far too expensive for the service, which was neither friendly nor unfriendly and the food was just mediocre.

We can recommend this beautiful restaurant... the beer garden is a real eye-catcher and the food and beer are very, very good... the value for money is given, but it is expensive!

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren mehrfach da, zuletzt vor ca. 2 Jahren. Gestern: gefühlte Preiserhöhung um ca. 40 Prozent bei höchstens "durchschnittlicher" Küche. Das war dann auch unser letzter Besuch !

The service was great. We were a large group and were served very well. The area is also dog-friendly. The atmosphere is also very, very nice. There are a few compromises when it comes to food. But that's probably a matter of taste. If you are looking for a nice beer garden with Bavarian brewery cuisine in Wiesbaden, this is the right place. If you like it authentic, go to Bavaria anyway.

We come here regularly and have a good time. The food is first class and the service is always top!!! Can warmly recommend.

In bullet points: - Wild burger, unseasoned and riddled with numerous pieces of cartilage, didn't taste good. - The portion of Leberkäs and croquettes was so small that I was still hungry, as was the children's portion of Spätzle, much too small. - Spray cream on ice cream, seriously??? - Paid the bill when ordering the dessert, didn't get a receipt and the dessert was forgotten until asked...you can try it... - I find it cheeky to ask for plate money for a small birthday cake that I brought with me. As a paying customer, you come with a medium-sized group, drink, order food and have to pay extra for your own cake with candles to blow out. We will definitely not be coming back again.

We've eaten here several times and never had much to complain about, but the last visit was more than subpar. The service always looks a bit demotivated and unfriendly, which I can understand and understand on some days. However, it started with the appetizer and the drinks, ordered warm pretzel as it was on the menu (nice and lukewarm from the oven) and it was cold and hard. When soaked, the apple spritzer tasted purely like water and had nothing to do with an apple spritzer. For the main course we had pork & chicken schnitzel with fries. When the food came and we tried it, we noticed that something was wrong because the meat was simply swapped. We then got the waiter and confronted him, he couldn't tell us what was what and acted stupid, and in the end he blamed me because when he brought the food to the table and called it, I was wrong, yes, that's mine' would have said. We swapped the food because we didn't have a problem with it because of the pork, but I think something like that should never happen and especially should! That doesn't happen, and don't blame the customer either. We also had cheese spaetzle which were good but too expensive for my taste, I generally find the prices there to be pretty cheeky now. At the end I still had all my fries on my plate because I was very full from the spaetzle. I asked nicely if they could pack me some fries + the rest of the spaetzle. He came back with a box with only the spaetzle in it He threw away my entire portion of fries despite being told to pack them up. And even if I hadn't said anything, they could have given me the fries instead of just throwing everything away. I usually enjoy going there but this was my last visit for a long time. After that evening I was really very angry and at the same time very sad that half of my meal for which I paid €20 was thrown away. I also have to say that the service had absolutely no idea what it was doing and was absolutely lost. If you only do your job half-heartedly and think 'it's fine', you should look for a job that puts more effort into it and puts your heart into it :)

There were now eight of us there and we were shocked that the portions were only a quarter of what they were a year ago. Above all, different portions on each plate!! At the same court. The prices have also increased significantly. This time the service was apparently overwhelmed and several times forgot drinks and starters that were not brought. I've been back to the street mill for a long time. The ambience and service are still very good, and the food also tastes very good. However, prices are now being quoted that make me think about whether I should recommend the restaurant. For a glass of wine 0.2 just under 8 euros, Lillet 10.60!, sausage salad with fried potatoes 15 euros, which was very good, but a seasoned man wouldn't have been full. Cheese spaetzle for 18.30 euros, that's sporty, respect. Far too expensive for a pub with a beer garden, sorry.

We were at the street mill with 20 people at lunchtime and were very satisfied! The food came for everyone within a few minutes and was tasty and plentiful. The drinks service was great anyway, no one sat dry and had to wait. The two guys who served the entire beer garden were on their toes and real professionals! The street mill is really great because you can sit outside in the large veranda, safe from the weather. And everything was right in terms of price. A total of five out of five moose, SWR 3 would say 👍👍👍👍👍

Die Speisen (Winzerpfanne und Schnitzel) waren einfach und mittelmäßig, schlecht gewürzt. Bin von bayerischen Biergärten etwas anderes gewöhnt. Da ist noch viel "Luft nach oben" drin. Speisen und Getränke zu teuer.

I enjoyed being there many years ago. I still had pork pepper with homemade potato dumplings in my memory, but unfortunately no one remembered that. The waiters were very friendly and attentive, which couldn't exactly be said about the ladies working. I ordered pork knuckle with sauerkraut and fried potatoes. After a while a knuckle arrived, which had probably not been warmed up for the first time. The taste was okay, the meat was well cooked, but the rind showed a harder side. For 28.50 I expected more. It remains to be mentioned that the fried potatoes weren't any better...

The service is friendly. The price/performance ratio of the food is not acceptable, simply too expensive in terms of quality. The drinks are also not appropriately overpriced.

Too expensive (beer 0.5 > 5 EUR, most food > 20 EUR) and the kitchen is not convincing, the Bavarian Haxn-G'röstl was far too dry and tough, and the fried potatoes were boiled potatoes cut into slices very short were fried in the pan on both sides. Not recommended as a classic beer garden for a beer after work or on the weekend, it's in a great location in the countryside and the beer garden is pretty, but with the prices you don't want to go there. If the weather is bad you can sit outside, but behind the massive wooden beams of the covered veranda you feel very confined.

The beer garden is very nice and the service was friendly and attentive. However, I was disappointed with the price-performance ratio of the food. The vegan tarte flambée reminded me a lot of a frozen version that I regularly buy in the supermarket. Unfortunately, the topping couldn't be adjusted (leave out one ingredient). All in all, it's a shame that the food was so disappointing. Otherwise it would certainly be a regular destination!

We were the only guests that day and wanted to eat a rump steak. For a 250 g rump steak over 30 euros is already an announcement for a restaurant, but no matter if it tastes good it should be worth it. The request was medium rare. The joy of a delicious, slightly bloody piece of meat was great. Then the surprise is that it's so small it's 250 grams, so whatever, get to the meat. The next disappointment after cutting the meat was almost done. A no go at that price, so complained. The meat was remade without any problems. But then the next surprise: the host asks us what we mean by medium rare, are we currently being processed... or what would be even worse, he really doesn't know. Second attempt after 25 m minutes the plates arrived. Is that a bad omen? Yes, now the meat was so cooked that not a bit of meat juice came out. We ate it anyway because we ran out of time. I don't know what the other dishes are like, but you shouldn't eat rump steak there.

We had dinner there at lunchtime. We each ordered rump steak (250 grams) for a whopping €33. The friendly waitress also asked us about the doneness of the steak. However, the chef failed to serve the steak medium rare. We then had to eat the second steak, which was almost cooked through, because the lunch break was over. We liked the atmosphere and is reminiscent of a beautiful beer garden in Bavaria. Maybe we were just unlucky with our steak that day. The service staff didn't charge us for the first drink because of the unsuccessful steak. Nice move!!!!

Basically you sit nice and quiet and relaxed a little away from the street noise. The beer garden itself had already changed tenants several times. The selection of dishes has a Bavarian touch and thanks to the flair it comes across that way, which is fine. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and tries to do justice to their guests. It took a little longer to eat, two fried potatoes with egg and bacon, children's schnitzel and sausage salad wouldn't be a big deal, you would think. It then came (50 minutes) and was good and plentiful. So far there is nothing to complain about. I felt a bit short of breath when it came to the bill. Sure, everything has become more expensive and the catering industry also suffered from Corona, but does it have to be the case that a 3/4 liter of water costs €7.50? A 0.5l bottle of Radler €5.80? You have to think about that...

Very nice atmosphere... But the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. A small side salad, emphasis on "very small", €6.50 is simply too expensive. Mini schnitzel with French fries for an 8 year old child, really "mini", €12.00, too expensive. Lumberjack steak and salad etc. too expensive. Two adults, two children, 8 and 1.5 years old, one drink each = all in all € 75.00... I know good and inexpensive restaurants there...

It's not without reason that the Straßemühle has been around for so long... the atmosphere, the service, everything is just right from start to finish. The waitress in her dirndl and the men in their lederhosen absolutely fit the theme of the economy. Food came super quickly and tasted incredibly delicious.

I thought the service and ambience were great. The prices are quite high and I found the portions to be rather small. I managed my main course plus a Kaiserschmarrn without any problems.

We ordered from the inn this evening. Unfortunately, the order via a delivery app didn't arrive at first, which is why the waiting time was unusually long. However, after a call to the inn, the response was extremely professional, the order was prepared and delivered quickly, the dishes were excellent and a free dessert sweetened the evening even more. An all-round successful dinner, many thanks to the inn for handling the app error so well and processing the order quickly and accommodatingly. Finally, all we can say is that we can highly recommend ordering here.

Mega great restaurant with super friendly bosses and great service employees. The range of food and drinks is excellent. The seating: Above the lounge is great. I find the seating below to be extremely uncomfortable, as are the tables. You can't stretch your legs through the crossbars. You could offer guests more comfortable furniture. I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The Straßemühle is extremely child-friendly and also offers children's high chairs and children's menus. Thanks to the adjacent playground and the mini golf course opposite, many guests like to spend time there to relax and eat well. Free parking is available. Pay attention to the signposted parking spaces for the street mill and also for the mini golf course.

Wir waren heute zum wiederholten Mal hier und waren sehr zufrieden. Trotz Regen draußen unter dem Dach, freundliches Personal und sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Heute 1x Schnitzel mit grüner Soße, 1x Spargel und ein Kindergericht. Preislich vielleicht etwas überdurchschnittlich, aber verglichen mit anderen Restaurants irgendwie auch das neue „normal“. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Service currently no longer matches the beer garden's significantly increased prices. The order was mixed up, cold pretzels instead of "fresh from the oven" and despite the request to have all the leftovers packed up, half of them still ended up in the trash. Only the great ambience and the positive experiences in the past justify 3 stars for me. Everyone has a bad day, but you can really do better!

Die Strassenmühle ist als gut bürgerlich bekannt. Aktuell ist das Preisniveau für die gebotene Qualität zu hoch. 0,5L Apfelwein kosten 6,90. Ich besuchte die Strassenmühle als Test für die Einkehr von Wander-/Radfahrgruppen. Dafür ist die Strassenmühle nicht geeignet.
