Hans im Glück in Wiesbaden

Onion rings are excellent, the bun is good, the burger is cooked at too low a temperature, texture was more boiled than fried. The wait for placing an order was annoying, watching the wait staff chatting amongst themselves. I was seated and waited 20 minutes until I asked the bartender if I could just place my order with him. Only five tables occupied and two wait staff. Similar wait for the check after the dishes were cleared from the table. If I was talking with friends I wouldn't have been irritated, but alone at an empty table and nothing to drink or eat just feels like wasted time

The burgers, called "Casanova," were delicious! However, the wait was extremely long—45 minutes for three burgers. Furthermore, a family of three wanted to sit by a window in a more comfortable spot, but the manager was very categorical and refused, supposedly so that larger groups could find a seat. We were only there for an hour, and the cafe was half empty—there was plenty of space. Is that really customer-oriented?

Ugh, cold food and too expensive!

As you've seen at other locations. It feels like the portions are getting smaller and more expensive every year. The taste was okay. Unfortunately, there are no more children's art supplies like they used to.

I love the franchise. I love the food, and I love the ambiance and the concept. Unfortunately, the Wiesbaden store doesn't live up to the standard. The service was very poor. We were barely noticed, and it took a long time for us to order and for the food to arrive. Even the drinks took a while. When I heard a constant ringing from the kitchen (like "Is someone coming back today to get the food?"), it became clear to me that the kitchen was also dissatisfied with the service staff's performance. The fries and burgers were accordingly cold when they arrived at our table. A complaint about the fries resulted in a fresh portion but no apology. It could be better. I'll only go to Frankfurt from now on.

We were a little late, but we were invited in anyway. Despite our time pressure, the waitress wanted to say goodbye to the guests who were already leaving, so we had to wait with her. We had already tried Hans im Glück in Mainz twice and were unfortunately disappointed both times. Now we had hoped that the service and quality in Wiesbaden would be better. Unfortunately, the two burgers weren't served fresh, probably never will be, but were only half-heartedly reheated, as the waitress herself admitted. My friend's fries were ice cold, so we didn't have to pay for them, but let's be honest, why pay for cold burgers? Simply awful; I'd rather go for a kebab. The only tasty thing was the dragon fruit drinks.

We were there with friends. We didn't have a reservation, but the waiter served us without any problems. The waiter assigned us a great table. The atmosphere is wonderful, with lovely decor with the birch trees. Our waiter was Bojan, who was so kind and attentive. The restaurant has a great location, close to the city center. If we come back to Wiesbaden, we will definitely stop by again.

We were given a table for two people and initially waited a very long time before we even received the menus upon request. A group of eight people who arrived after us and hadn't made a reservation received their menus and also ordered before us. After taking the group order, the waitress went to a table, cleared it, and disappeared inside without paying any attention to us, even though we had been ready to place our orders for a long time. After she then served another table inside and didn't return, we got up and left. In total, we waited 25 minutes for nothing. Very disappointing!

The food is very tasty, nothing to complain about. One point deducted because the server brought a sourdough bun for the burger instead of the multigrain as advertised. But that's the whole problem. The service is unfortunately incredibly bad. The servers are friendly but completely overwhelmed. - We had to wave several times so we could order the rest when our other friends arrived (and we had even reserved for 7 in advance). - We had to remind them about the bowls we ordered. - Reordering is difficult when there are only two servers for the number of tables? No wonder they're totally overwhelmed. - Paying is also a problem. Card payments aren't accepted, and the server runs back in every 5 minutes, but then doesn't come back for what feels like another 10 minutes because she's still serving in the meantime. Service is unfortunately very chaotic, and any patience you may have at first quickly turns to frustration when the waitress has to run away every five minutes, only to return again after another fifteen. Unfortunately, I'm not used to this from other branches.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience here. First, our table was completely ignored by the waitress. Then we got our own menus and practically had to shout at the waitress to stop ignoring us and to please order. Taking our order was okay, but the woman seemed a bit annoyed. By the time we got our drinks, we'd already been there for an hour. The food then arrived, but there was no cutlery. We had to ask the woman twice for cutlery. She was getting very rude... By the time we were able to eat, the food was still lukewarm. Then we had to ask twice if we could pay... Suddenly, she was friendlier... 🤔 The food was delicious, but I've probably never experienced such poor service. The fact that a waitress deliberately ignored us was truly brazen. The tables around us were being served, by the way 🤔🤔

We had a lovely time sitting outside in the sun. The service left a lot to be desired. It was barely busy, and the waitresses had little interest in helping us. It's a shame. The food was good as always.

I've always enjoyed going to Hans im Glück, but my last visit was unfortunately a very sobering experience. Although the restaurant was barely busy, we were greeted by a visibly stressed waitress who refused to seat us. She explained that "the organization and processes here are chaotic" and that she was already "completely overwhelmed," and she summarily banned us from entering. So we had to look for an alternative. What a pity!

So, I don't know what the problem was last night, but dear Hans im Glück team: That was nothing! The service was terrible. No greeting when we sat down, waited forever for someone to take our order, and then the food finally arrived. The drinks? None. The waitress had forgotten them. And the same thing happened to guests at two other tables around us. The floor of this restaurant hasn't been mopped in days, not to mention the stairs to the restroom and the restroom floor: my shoes were practically stuck to it. I don't want to know what the kitchen looked like, where we got the actually very good, delicious meal. But that happened, to Hans im Glück, BEFORE we went to the restroom. Otherwise, I might not have touched it at all. The fact that the very taciturn, insecure waitress poured the entire cocktail all over my husband's and my laps has already been completely forgiven. That can happen. But the sloppy service and the dirt – that shouldn't happen. We don't go there anymore. What a pity.

Very good burger with a good balance of ingredients. Drinks/Tea’s are more on the expensive side but still taste good. Good restaurant decor, service and overall atmosphere.

As always, delicious. Despite a small staff and a busy crowd, the food arrived quickly and was of high quality. It was well worth it. Hats off to the team who run the place.

This was our first time at Hans im Glück – and unfortunately, our visit was massively negatively impacted by the staff. It's absolutely incomprehensible how someone in a job that involves customer contact could be so unfriendly. Anyone who doesn't possess a basic level of friendliness should seriously consider whether this is the right profession for them. On top of that, we were served the wrong dish. Instead of admitting the mistake, we were treated condescendingly – that was unacceptable. It's a real shame, because the food was really good. Unfortunately, this visit will remain a very negative memory for us.

Delicious vegetarian food step by step

I had the Smash Burger, which had little to do with the burger. The meat was at least as thick as the regular burgers, and the patties were frozen.

I'd describe the food as mediocre. The burgers are okay, but not outstanding. Unfortunately, the cauliflower wings are coated in far too much barbecue sauce, so you only taste the barbecue sauce and the crispiness is lost. The waitress complained about being too busy with only five tables occupied.

We waited 15 minutes for service, only to be rudely told by employee Flavia that she had other customers and we were welcome to leave if we didn't like it. Never again!

We came here with high expectations, as we'd love to visit a similar restaurant with a similar concept. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The atmosphere was very friendly, but the food was a disappointment. The hamburgers weren't "special," and it was very disappointing that I couldn't order nuggets for my child. That should really be on every children's menu. They only offer vegetarian nuggets. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we enjoy visiting.

I didn't like the food at all! I'll never pay €20 for a dry, bad-tasting burger again! However, I really liked the atmosphere, as well as the service. So if you're looking for a place with very bad food but a good atmosphere, I recommend this place. Otherwise, this isn't for you, and it wasn't for me either.

We ordered for just over €40.00, including a €5.99 delivery fee! The fact that the food was delivered on time is thanks entirely to the GPS. The driver couldn't find the restaurant, which is located in the middle of the main road? The food wasn't presented with the usual hearty and sumptuous service; quite the opposite was true! The burger buns were soggy, drenched in far too much sauce, and had nothing to do with a burger. It seems as though new staff are on duty. That was our last time!

Flavia, Lukas, shout out to you two, you have given extremely good service today, thanks a lot!! But now to the review, I was here with two of my friends, let's call them friend A and friend B. Friend A has purchased a matcha latte and spicy cauliflower chicken, it tasted and felt like chicken but it wasn't! Friend B has bought a salad, golden fries and a lemonade but I forgot which one, she said they were good. I bought the Feuerwerk burger, golden fries and the peach-lemon ice tea. The atmosphere was great and very modern, there is outdoor space and indoor space but the indoor was very hot. I would definitely recommend this place because sizes are actually edible, they aren't too big or too small and they have a kids menu and vegan alternatives.

Hans im Glück is always a good place for delicious burgers. The service is super friendly and courteous. Everything was great! However, it would be nice if they accepted Amex. There are payment systems like SumPay that accept all cards at reasonable prices and with no monthly fee.

The shine and glamour are somehow gone. The ambiance is okay, but also a bit worn and worn. Service (it's not the young man's fault) could use a bit of courage; it was quite hesitant. I've been to Hans im Glück a bunch over the years, and what I can definitely say, is that the quality of the food is still top notch. But sadly the sizes are much smaller. a portion of fries came on a huge plate which barely fit on the table, and now they come in small bowls.

Disappointing – never again! After 20 minutes of being completely ignored by the staff – with only three occupied tables in the entire restaurant – we simply left. No "hello," no drink, no service – nothing. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to guests. Unfortunately, this was the first and last time for us.

I find the seating and benches to be very tight because the tables by the fountain are very close together, and for older people, climbing over benches is rather problematic. Unfortunately, my burger was lukewarm and extremely salty. The other burgers in the group were okay. The ingredients were fresh. As for the value for money, I can only say that, like everywhere in Wiesbaden, it's tailored to the clientele. You're overwhelmed by the large selection of burgers, and if you order a side order like fries, which isn't included in the price, the burger is already quite expensive. You can choose between different buns.

The drinks, especially the thirst quenchers, but also the burgers are very good in terms of both appearance and taste.

We havent been served or aproached for 40 minutes. In the middle of the day. 5 of us just left after all we seen. Waitress rolled her eyes when we called her for a third time. Don't know what was going on, but we just did not expect this kind of service and behaviour. Have a nice one.

This is the second and last time I've given your place a chance. the waitress came to us when we sat down (we had to look at the menu), after that we called her four times and she said the system was down. it would not have been a problem if the guests who arrived after us were not served and canceled their orders. On our fourth call, the waitress rolled her eyes.

We set (5 of us) in the restourant for not less than 30 min. With no more than 4 tables occupied at that time. Asked and called waitress 3 times. Last time she rolled her eyes when we tried to call her and order a food. We left. This is not acceptable. All the best.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment. As soon as we arrived we were greeted in an extremely unfriendly manner - a smile or a minimum of hospitality? None. The tables were dirty, cutlery was completely missing - we had to get it ourselves. No service, no interest. The burger was inedible - the patty tasted like a cheap frozen product and we returned it. Instead of showing understanding, we were told “other people eat that too” and the burger was still charged. The absolute highlight: Because we complained about the unacceptable quality, we were banned from the house - with the words: "I don't want you to come back." That's not how you treat guests. Shameful, disrespectful and just plain sad. Never again.
