Modern, nice inn with German cuisine. Nice ambience and nice service.

I have been both eating and drinking several times in the past year. Nice food and fair prices considering the quantities. But I take off stars for the staff. An off day can happen, especially considering the volume of customers they have, but I have often caught them rude and super hurried to order without being open to give advice, even starting intimate you to finish your drink when they see you are almost done. These are facts: filtering the comments for negative, all those with low ratings (three stars and below) all make references to the staff. This is not a defamation, but a constructive criticism, because it can be improved.

We discovered this very busy little restaurant as we were walking! They were fully booked, but they managed to squeeze us in. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, the beer was cold, and the apple pancakes a definite hit. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. A nice place to eat.

We have been to 12 countries across europe and their beef burger is in our top 4. Classic home style burger, packed with flavour and very filling. Chips were crunchy and well salted. Thanks guys!

It is an authentic German restaurant recommended by Frankfurt hotel staff. We ordered German pork knuckles, rib eye steak and the store’s handmade pasta and beef stew Every dish is super delicious. The grilled skin of the German pig's trotters is crispy. The pig's trotters are leg meat. The texture of the meat is like a meat without any fishy smell. The sauerkraut that goes with it has an invincible taste. It’s delicious; the rib-eye steak tastes great. Local draft beers and ciders are also highly recommended When we arrived that day, we thought there were no seats. The service staff said we had to wait, and then someone got up from the table and left. Plus the boss helped us allocate seats, and we had a seat in less than 3 minutes. The boss's service is kind and the food is delicious. If you come to Frankfurt and want to eat authentic German food and have a drink, this place is worth a visit. Highly recommended👍

A very nice restaurant with down-to-earth and very tasty cuisine. Service is excellent, you sit very comfortably and in addition to the normal menu there are also weekly changing specials. Also very suitable for business lunches. Price-performance is top!

I was eating there with friends and an insect was fried. The waitress vehemently claimed in her gutter language that this couldn't be the case because there was a fly screen hanging in the kitchen window. But the cattle were fried black - definitely! Professional restaurants would have apologized even if they disagreed with the guest. You don't argue with customers. I found that very outrageous and expressed it. The waitress then fetched the boss, who stood up to me (at least he tried, but I'm two heads taller). Really aggressive and antisocial behavior. Something like that is definitely not recommended. I'm thinking about maybe notifying the health department about the insect in the food.

From an initial good impression with good food to total horror. A wasp was cooked/fried and was in the sauce. The service colleagues strictly claimed that it had flown into the food at the table and that it was 100% guaranteed that no wasps could get in in the kitchen. This statement is so incredibly outrageous that I am still at a loss for words. Instead of continuing to represent your own opinion, it would have been more professional to simply apologize, as such things can always happen and the wasp was actually dark and therefore couldn't fly into the table. A treatment that couldn't have been more outrageous and if you can't show insight into really obvious things, you shouldn't work in service.

Placed our order at around 9:30 pm, got recommendations on food from the waitress. 50 minutes later I am asking how long would it take for our food to arrive and it turns out the kitchen was already closed and they forgot about our order (or forgot to let us know the kitchen was closed by the time we ordered). Got free beers as an apology. Beer was good anyway and seemed liked a good place

Food was excellent, but the service was awful. The two ladies/waitresses with red hair were both having a bad day.

Food and location were standard. But the service was catastrophically unfriendly, not a smile, totally annoyed when you asked something. Otherwise, if you don't know what to do with your money, you're welcome to come here!!

Since it was lunch and I'm not used to eating lunch at all, I wanted to order a children's portion. Since there is no senior portion, I was told, we can do it, but it costs an extra €3 😳 WHY???? No explanation 🤷🏻‍♀️ In the back area in this weather, very unpleasant temperatures, the air is stagnant, no breeze, nothing, you could think about a climate, especially with the prices, which in my opinion are very uncalculated, chicken slices are more expensive than zander, huh? The waitress wanted to be fun today, which she couldn't do 👎🏼 On the subject of card payment, it was only after we asked that it was said that this was possible, but only from €30 onwards. If you didn't get this, you could think about TIP, sorry, that's a no go. Unfortunately you don't get a receipt either, only upon request, sorry, where can you get something like that. The drinks weren't exactly cold in this heat... praise goes to the kitchen, the food tasted good

Wir haben das Restaurant als Familie mit sechs Personen zum Mittagessen besucht und waren insgesamt enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war leider sehr unmotiviert und unaufmerksam. Das Essen kam in durchschnittlicher Zeit, hat aber geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Die Getränke waren leider zu warm. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut nicht. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass dem Wunsch nach einer Rentnerportion für eine erwachsene Person nur gegen Aufpreis entsprochen wurde. Dies empfanden wir als pauschal und diskriminierend, da die kleinere Portion aufgrund des Alters verwehrt oder teurer angeboten wurde. Eine Mitnahme der Reste war für uns keine Option. Sehr schade.

Unfortunately there are no negative stars. Aperol Spritz bland and not in the usual form. Served without ice cubes and still just a watery broth. But it's not worth the full price. No invoice received. Fibrous answer to demand. Thank you never again!

Excellent food and friendly service

One of the best Schnitzel I ever had. The beer was a little bit warm, but the place was scorching hot, though. The dessert, some pancake bites with vanilla sauce are superb.

Hyggelig restaurant, som var virkelig populært, maden var virkelig lækker, vi fik en virkelig velstegt bøf. Tjeneren var lidt fortravlet.

The staff forgot about our order and only after an hour (the expiry of reservation) did they realise that no one processed our order. It wasn't a busy time at that moment and they didn't forget to charge us for the drinks... To make matters worse, this is the second time it happened to us, since we were already there before and the order was forgotten too, but we figured it can happen to anyone once, so we went there again. I can't comment on food because, unfortunately,I never got the opportunity to taste it. Hopefully they will improve on this issue.

They brought me burger with hair and there was a mouse running under the table. Sounds like a joke but it’s not.

We pre-booked as a party of eight. Coming from the exhibition halls after a long day. This place was busy with locals which is always a good sign. The service and people were fabulous. We weren't so much served as looked after. That's despite being full. Goodness, they were working hard. Food was very generous, honest, nicely presented and tasty, plus the beer was cold. Everyone had a great time. I'm sure we will be back there next time at the Messe.

Delicious dishes at moderate prices, a lot around €20, meat/steak sometimes a little more expensive, but within reason. Good service, only when it's very busy you need patience and if you're unlucky you won't get a salad.

Food was ok only except that the schnitzel was on the dry side. We asked for chilli sauce and the waitress gave us a saucer. After we finished it, we asked for more chilli sauce. The waitress gave a flabbergasted look and told us we needed to pay for the chilli sauce. They charged us €3.50 for the small saucer which is really quite ridiculous. But the waitress’s attitude was what made the overall experience bad. Edit: you can even tell from their reply that their service is not customer-centric. Incredibly arrogant and unapologetic. And please we can tell it is not homemade chipotle sauce. It is just thai chilli sauce you can get from the supermarket easily. In Singapore almost all restaurants give free sauce at zero additional cost. If it is special it should be clearly stated on the menu.

Wait staff has an incredibly rude attitude towards American non-German language speakers, had no problem making fun of our lack of German speaking skills to other wait staff literally in front of us while they were taking our order. Beer is nothing special, outdoor patio is a mess, and the wait staff would rather stand outside vaping than doing their jobs. We had to wait a very long time (close to 20 min) to get their attention to even pay our tab (2 BEERS, THAT WAS IT) if I could give this place less than a 1-Star rating, I would, no second thoughts. I would highly suggest if you are visiting Frankfurt from outside Germany and are not able to speak German fluently, do everything you can to avoid a terrible experience. Just a warning.

Everything was very tasty, freshly made. Big portion. Customer service polite and competent.

I arrived hungry and had to leave hungry. There would be no more room for me. Admittedly, the place was pretty full. But there were some tables of four with only two people sitting at them. I know that when you ask a person, then the service department asks whether you can add that person.

This place was good, but not great. That is, you will eat well here, but it probably won't be the highlight of your time in Frankfurt. The staff was nice. If you're in the area, it's a good place to grab some Frankfurt schnitzel with green sauce.

One my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt

We were able to spontaneously get a table at the inn on the Ostend at the weekend and I have to say that the schnitzels were really excellent. The cheese spaetzle was also very tasty and both portions were more than enough. The two service staff were also very friendly and very friendly to us, although there were some disagreements between us that we noticed. All in all it was a nice evening for us. Thank you.

Really delicious, home-style food! You get full and leave happy :-) We had the BBQ schnitzel and the Swabian pan - both really tasty and the homemade spaetzle with the cream sauce was bomb. The pork medallions were also very well fried and not chewy at all. Great atmosphere, card payment possible. Service very friendly and accommodating.
