Sitting in the bear right now I can only say one thing Top, great. I can only recommend it. Will come back.

Really cool and relaxed people! Food was rustic and solid! The service/staff just gave you the feeling that they were happy that you came to eat there! When I'm in Frankfurt, I'll go there!!!!

A quaint pub in the beautiful old town of Höchst. Great food, excellent service. We were spontaneously nearby and decided on it because of the location and the beautiful surroundings and were thrilled. We will definitely come back ♥️ 5 *****

We have been here several times over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Today there was a special offer, suckling pig with dumplings and red cabbage. A celebration for carnivores like us. The attentive, friendly service and the ambience were great as always.

We really enjoyed our first meal here in Frankfurt. The food are all delicious and service is good and prompt. The restaurant feels very homey as well and people are friendly.

Loved it. It was my first night in Frankfurt, I hadn’t eaten all day, was tired and hungry, and the place, the people, the service was excellent. They were so kind. I have food intolerances DVD they made a plate just for me.

We are at ??? probably 16-18 times in the bear. It's always delicious and always great service, whether from Rachid or his colleagues. Always in a good mood, the team makes it easy to entertain a wide variety of people every day. We always try to do justice to everyone. Even if you haven't made a reservation. Great relaxed atmosphere.

The food is excellent and the ambience is great. The service is always very friendly and you immediately put yourself in a good mood. I come to the bear very hungry and I always go back feeling full. I can only recommend the Gasthaus zum Bären.

According to the notice board and Google Maps, opening hours on Sundays until 11 p.m., kitchen until 10 p.m. In fact, we were forced to make the last kitchen order at 8:15 p.m. and were cashed in at 9:15 p.m. An unpleasant early end to the evening.

We ordered a salad, it was added to the receipt, but it wasn’t delivered, it wasn’t tasty.

After the reservation has been confirmed on a Sunday at 2 p.m. for 8 people, you get the information by phone three hours beforehand that you have a company party that would start at 3 p.m. and if that doesn't matter, you only have an hour to eat. We are very disappointed

My wife and I visit the restaurant every year on our wedding anniversary and order goose (leg and breast). Were very satisfied every year. Unfortunately that wasn't the case this year. Assume that the restaurant just had a bad day. Both the leg and the breast were dry. Either the meat was overcooked or it came from the lecture. Don't know if the chef was changed. Always gave 5 stars. This time it's just 4 stars, hoping it was just a blip.

We were really happy to eat here. Food was great and the service was really good too. We had the Schnitzel with Green sauce and later the Apple strudel. Very satisfied 😌

Despite the many visitors, the food came quickly and was very tasty. Price/performance ratio is totally right, I can highly recommend it. But it's better to reserve.

We had dinner at Bären with the family and felt very comfortable. The service was very warm and accommodating. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. The dishes were all very tasty, especially the sauces served with the meat dishes were really great. The dumplings were freshly prepared. Highly recommended is the wild boar, which can be ordered every Friday from October to March. Parking is easy in the battery parking spaces, a two-minute walk away.

Top quality and service. I especially appreciate the reference to the meat. This conveys a conscious and responsible approach to the topic. The sustainable packaging is also great when ordering for takeaway.

Even I couldn't quite finish the knuckle. But it was delicious. Above all, the crust was perfect. Not tough but not too hard either. The service was very friendly and quick even though it was so busy. However, the noise level was also very high, making it difficult to have a conversation.

Very tasty food - unfortunately the portions are manageable - you have to dig into your pocket again and order a starter and a dessert :)

I have eaten here many times. Especially in summer, always the broth and the delicious schnitzel. Goose to go today. And what can I say, a culinary delight. Really TOP! The staff is always super nice, the service is always excellent and the food (especially the goose) is cooked to perfection and the interaction of the side dishes rounds off the whole dish. It's not for nothing that the inn has such a good reputation. Absolute recommendation. Would like to give more than 5 stars.

Clocky restaurant in beautiful old town surroundings

Always nice there. The service that recognizes you, it's almost like “coming home”. Lately the kitchen wasn't quite up to scratch. The salt was missing, the seasoning, the fish/meat was too dry. Please be careful. You can do better and it will get better, I'm sure.

Went there for a goose meal. Large portion for four people. The meat was delicious and the skin was nice and crispy. Side dishes were plentiful. Overall, a delicious meal. And not to forget, the service was perfect.

Traditional inn and rustic location right on the cozy Schlossplatz. The menu is very varied, but some of the dishes are not particularly good. The Kaiserschmarren tasted like it had been made from a bag for 1 euro and has nothing to do with Alpine cuisine. It doesn't help if it's served in a pan.

Beautiful ambience, beautiful food, wonderful service. The whole thing goes smoothly, without you having to ask yourself or worry about being seen, everything runs smoothly. Just great, definitely recommended.

In a nutshell.. The food tastes fantastic.. The selection is huge and the salad portions are really mega.

Best knuckle ever, veggie burger also recommended. The knuckle was impossible to pack and was given to us to take home with us, beautifully packaged, with extra sauce.

The food and service were great, just as loud as in a wine tavern in Baden-Württemberg.

Had dinner there with the family yesterday. Rustic atmosphere, very friendly welcome. We had reserved. This is recommended because it was very well attended. Drinks were requested and delivered quickly, The map is varied but not too big, if you don't find what you're looking for it's your own fault. Very attentive service, attention is paid to the little things... "For the child, fries with or without salt?" .. Class! Stay calm and keep an overview despite the full restaurant. A fantastic inn. Apparently we were lucky to get a table for lunch that same evening because the house was completely full. After ordering - the menu offers something for many tastes - the starter was quickly brought to the table. We didn't have to wait long for the main course either. But even a longer wait would have been more than worth it: the food tastes excellent! You can taste that sauces, side dishes, dips, etc. are all made fresh, nothing tastes remotely like convenience. This is how I imagine good, honest cuisine. There are almost no frills, but portions that left me more than satisfied. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. I'll come back any time I get the chance. An absolute recommendation and worth a detour!

Nice service, delicious food and a beautiful outdoor area on the Höchster Schlossplatz with a view of the castle. Even in the cold season you can sit comfortably and comfortably inside. The food here has always been excellent and I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

The food is very good and well priced. The rooms seem "rustic" and it is very loud in the restaurant because it was full. It's probably better to sit outside the restaurant. The conditions were very friendly and nice. Despite the full house, they had everything under control and were very quick to serve. The restaurant can be recommended. It was a lovely evening. I had pre-booked a table and it worked great. The evening was very nice, the service was very good, the food tasted great.

Rustic inn with flair, 1a food and great staff. Ten of us went there for dinner on the occasion of a birthday. The woman celebrating her birthday was surprised with a birthday tarte flambée with apple rings and a serenade from the entire guest room. I thought that was really nice! However, you can only go there on a Friday evening with a reservation - it was packed full and therefore noisy (which the innkeepers can't do anything about). I'm just writing this so that you know in advance what you should be prepared for. I would go to the Bären again at any time - a clear thumbs up!

We looked forward to an exciting time in the historic Hochst community... As it was Octoberfest time.. However, there was not a soul in the neighborhood... Completely empty!! The restaurant was good.. food was good... Just not sure what happened to area.. We figured it out when another person sat to eat next to us.. the waiter greated with a noticeable As-salamu alaykum.. You get the picture

We were traveling with a tour group and graduated from the Bären. There were 40 of us in total and everything went like clockwork. Great service, very friendly and competent team. The food was very good. Lots of praise from our ranks for choosing the location. Of course our people were also enthusiastic about the Höchst old town.

We haven't been there for a long time. Now it has worked again. The knuckle was a blast. And the Frankfurter Brett was mega. Unfortunately there was no dark beer. Too bad. Nevertheless, if we are in the area again we will come back. 👍

I have been visiting the Bear occasionally for many years and have always been very satisfied. Today I was there with foreign guests. There was a criticism of a meal. However, the very dedicated restaurant manager Aldo resolved the matter promptly and satisfactorily. Thank you Aldo and thank you Elias for the good and friendly service.

Discovered by chance and loved it! Very courteous advice on regional cuisine and quick acceptance of our orders (including small changes to the menu). Homemade lemonade is absolutely top! The food was freshly prepared and tasted excellent. Thanks to the team :-)

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. But the staff were very friendly and took our complaining calmly and let the plate go back without complaining.

I had imagined more of the food. Quality nothing special. The only things that are good are the fried potatoes and the apple cider.

Beautiful, idyllic place, inside and out. After the hustle and bustle in Frankfurt or Frankfurt Höchst, you'll find peace and quiet here in turbo gear. The staff is cozy and very nice in a natural way. The food was delicious. Typical Hessian cuisine, very well prepared. Somehow you feel at home and would like to lie down on a sofa somewhere. ☺️
