Quaint, Bavarian, and good food.

Very large inn. Everything is super fast. I've had better onion roast beef many times before. When the schnitzel is described as having potato salad with cucumber, I would have expected more cucumber than just a decorative slice. But otherwise, it's really okay.

A quaint inn with very friendly staff. The food arrived very quickly and was fantastic. We had fish, goulash, and roast pork, and everything was incredibly delicious. A definite recommendation if you're in the area.

Authentic Bavarian hospitality – the way it should be I recently dined at this lovely Bavarian restaurant – and it was a complete success. The roast pork was outstanding: tender, juicy, with a crispy crust – just what you'd expect. The salad starter was also fresh and well-seasoned. The food arrived promptly, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. The cleanliness is particularly noteworthy – both in the dining room and in the restrooms, which is unfortunately no longer a given these days. The decor is cozy, traditional, and very inviting – you immediately feel at home. All in all, a real insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy Bavarian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

People like to come and meet here for food or a beer, and larger events are also possible in the hall. It's also nice to see that Mr. G. is working successfully here; I wouldn't be so sure about that in a law firm.

We stopped here on our way home to Austria, and it was the best decision! Very friendly service, great pub atmosphere, and fast-charging stations for electric cars right next door! The food came super quickly, the roast pork was a dream with a super crispy crust, and the ribs were very tender and delicious. Highly recommended! Great value for money too!

We stumbled upon this place by chance, stopping off at the nearby campsite, and we were absolutely thrilled. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was excellent. The fresh char is highly recommended, and the schnitzel was delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is cozy and Bavarian.

Very nice place, l combined this with a visit to the house of Julius Exter which l have often visited. Unfortunately the person who cared for the Exterhouse is retiring but we hope it will continue as before. The prices in the Feldwies have risen a bit but still quite acceptable.

We've been coming to Wirtshaus Feldwies (almost) every year since it opened. The service, the food, the ambiance—we're always very satisfied! Plus, there's ample parking in a very quiet setting. Highly recommended!

We've been there twice now. The food and service are all excellent. Everything tastes delicious. We had the goulash with dumplings. It was very good, but the food was served in a soup bowl! Two dumplings with goulash. For the price of €22.50, we really expected more goulash. What a shame. This was our last visit.

We stopped by the inn on a rainy Tuesday. It was very busy, the food was delicious as always, and the staff were relaxed and friendly despite the hustle and bustle!

We went there on recommendation and were not disappointed. Unfortunately, everything was full that day and there weren't enough waiters. The food and service were excellent. We would go back anytime.

We were just stopping over at Lake Chiemsee and wanted a beer garden that served pork knuckles. And we weren't disappointed. The service was fast and super friendly. Even with our two young children, we didn't feel like they were a nuisance, even though they were boisterous and loud 😉 The food, however, was the highlight. For around €19 each, we had schnitzel with potato salad and knuckle with bread dumplings. The portions were so generous that we could barely finish them. And that's saying something. The schnitzel was super crispy without being overcooked, blistered, and nice and moist and thin. My kids devoured the potato salad. The knuckle was crispy and moist, and the dumplings were also delicious. Only the sauce for the "Kinder Dumplings" had a bit too much caraway for our taste. But that's a matter of taste and nitpicking at a high level. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely come back when we're in the area. (Ps: At 5:00 PM on Sunday, there were still plenty of seats in the beer garden. So when we went around 6:30 PM, it was quite busy. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation for that evening if you're planning a larger group.)

A must-visit on every vacation at Lake Chiemsee. Despite the apparently new management, we had nothing to complain about. However, the mustard and horseradish breading on the schnitzel could have used more of both ingredients. On the plus side, they offered me a "dumpling mix" of both (cheese and spinach). The service made it possible... We'll be back again! Upgrade: The schnitzel was unfortunately tough, and the potato salad with cucumber, was it homemade? 🤔 I think there's room for improvement. It used to be better...

We haven't been here for a few years; unfortunately, the food and the menu have declined considerably; the lumberjack steak and the fish of the day were prepared rather unusually; sometimes, unfortunately, less is more ;); my schnitzel was good, although I would have preferred it fried in butter with a regular coating; the Kaiserschmarrn was very thick – also rather unusual ... The service was fast and very friendly.

We're back at Lake Chiemsee after several years, and the food here at Wirtshaus Feldwies is still as good as ever! You can sit either outside in the beer garden (also suitable for larger groups with reservations) or inside in one of the dining rooms or the main hall. The waiters are friendly and efficient. Drinks and food arrive quickly. They brought us a candle outside, as unfortunately (at this time of year!) mosquitoes are still a problem.

Cozy Bavarian inn. Cream of parsley soup was very thick, more like mush. Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was good but also expensive.

We had a horseradish schnitzel! The potato salad (I don't think it was homemade) was, like the schnitzel, rather tasteless! The staff was very friendly and efficient!

Very nice beer garden Staff very friendly But unfortunately, despite the many positive reviews (which is why we made a reservation), I had to make major concessions with the food! For my taste, the food was lukewarm, tasteless, and the spaetzle was completely overcooked (I told the waitress about it afterward). But people's tastes often differ.

A typical, rustic beer garden, as it should be. Unfortunately, we have to deduct one star for the food; the Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) wasn't at all to our taste. Otherwise, we'd happily return. The food was delicious (roast pork and schnitzel), and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. This rating is based on our personal experience.

Even without a reservation, we were allowed to sit in the large hall. It was a bit chilly there, but since we had a full negotiation, we didn't mind. The service was good, and the drinks came quickly. We had the roast pork, the goulash, and a children's schnitzel... everything was good and the price was still reasonable.

If you want good Bavarian food, then come here!

Very tasty food: roast pork and meatballs

No idea where the positive comments come from. With a few exceptions, they are the complete opposite of what we experienced. Both plates (1x gröstl and 1x brawn). The pieces of meat probably came from returned plates. Large and small chunks of meat, sometimes burnt black and flabby, stringy, and tasteless, all lukewarm. The potatoes were glassy and sour. A small pot of cold gravy or something similar was served with them. The pieces of brawn probably came from a can (because of their shape): tasteless, very little meat. The salad was mushy and overly acidic. The fried potatoes were the only bright spot! Because they were very fresh and perfectly cooked. Wine and wheat beer: excellent! The service: okay, trying. No German, but so far better than the food. We've known this place (a few years ago) since its reopening as a unique, wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal, which we regularly visited. Now, it's probably partly fallen into Polish hands, and certainly won't be back for a long time! What a shame.
