Wirtshaus beim Strumpfar in Oberstaufen

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern zum Mittag essen dort. Leider haben wir uns nicht sehr willkommen gefühlt. Kein nettes Wort oder mal die Nachfrage ob alles passt oder man noch etwas möchte. Die Panade des Schnitzels war viel zu salzig und die anderen Gerichte geschmacklich eher mittelmäßig. Der Gasthof an sich ist wunderschön - ein altes Haus toll hergerichtet mit schönem Biergarten. Aber man fühlt sich leider nicht wohl dort und dafür war es dann auch zu teuer. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Wir wollten mit 6 Personen eine Kleinigkeit zum Mittagessen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass die Kellnerin vor Ort völlig überfordert war. Sie gab an, dass sie heute alleine sei und die Bestellung circa 1Stunde dauern würde. Jedoch hat sie sich völlig im Ton und Umgang mit den Gästen überworfen. Sie zeigte sich sehr abweisend und im Tonfall sehr unverschämt. Sie fragte ob wir jemanden kenn würde, der hier mitarbeiten wolle damit es schneller geht. Zudem wollte sie uns zu Gästen dazu setzen, die zu zweit einen Tisch für 10 Personen besetzt hatten. Wir sind dann unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen und werden das Lokal auch nicht mehr besuchen.

Wir waren im Urlaub in Oberstaufen und haben durch Zufall das Lokal gesehen. Das Ambiente, Personal, Service und essen war einwandfrei. Kommen Wieder wenn wir wieder im Urlaub da sind.

Schreibt geöffnet, ist aber in Urlaub. Wofür gibt es Internet?

Leider nicht familienfreundlich, vielleicht war es aber auch nicht der Tag der Bedienung. Wirkte weder motiviert, noch sehr höflich - wenn bspw. Kinder mal kurz im Weg standen. Für den Preis dann leider nicht passend.

Wir hatten einen super Abend! Super Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen und schöne urige Räumlichkeiten. Definitiv eine Empfehlung!

Das Lokal ist aussen wie innen sehr schön gestaltet, befindet sich an einem Heimatmuseum. Draussen können Kinder schön spielen. Innen rustikal eingerichtet. Service war bei uns in Ordnung, wenngleich nicht überbemüht. Das Essen etwas zweischneidig: Es gab einige in der Gruppe, die mit dem Essen zufrieden waren (z.B. die Krautkrapfen), andere weniger (Kasnocken). Da ich auch nur ein Gericht hatte, kann ich nicht die ganze Speisekarte beurteilen und muss mich auf die Aussagen der anderen verlassen, und da war der Eindruck eher durchwachsen.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe von 14 Personen dort und leider insgesamt sehr enttäuscht. Wir verstehen nicht, woher die krass guten Bewertungen kommen. Vielleicht, weil auch viele Touristen hier essen. Die Mitarbeiter waren zwar freundlich, aber die Organisation und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis waren wirklich sehr schlecht. Wir saßen an zwei Tischen und es wurden mehrfach falsche Getränke gebracht bzw. verteilt. Beim Schnitzel bekamen wir eine kleine Portion Spätzle dazu, ohne dass kommuniziert wurde, dass diese angeblich für zwei Personen gedacht sein soll. Für über 20€ pro Gericht waren die Portionen allgemein viel zu klein. Für zusätzliches Besteck haben wir einfach ein Aufpreis berechnet wurde. So etwas haben wir wirklich noch nie erlebt. Insgesamt leider keine gute Erfahrung und für den Preis absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Schade. Für eine Brotzeit und Spargelsalat wollten wir noch eine Scheibe Brot- es war noch Aufstrich übrig. Wir hätten 8 Scheiben (also eine Portion) kaufen müssen. Offenbar war es den Wirtsleuten lieber, den Aufstrich wegzuwerfen.

Wer ein authentisches Gasthaus mit Herz sucht, ist beim Strumpfer genau richtig. Die Portionen sind großzügig, geschmacklich 1A und der Service ist flink und immer für einen netten Spruch zu haben. Ein echtes Stück Lebensqualität in der Region. 5 Sterne, ohne Wenn und Aber!

Super süßes und unscheinbares Restaurant. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr lecker, vorallem das Gulasch hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können jedem nur empfehlen das Wirtshaus mal zu besuchen.

Sehr unfreundliche Bedienung! Bedankt sich auch nicht fürs Trinkgeld. Beim Prüfen der Rechnung festgestellt, dass zuviel berechnet wurde! Sie meinte nur, das Gerät hätte sie drauf aufmerksam gemacht!!! Wird halt einfach mal nicht gesagt, bis der Gast drauf aufmerksam macht. Frechheit

Sehr gemütlich weil sehr klein. Muss daher aber zwingend reserviert werden. Essen und Service wsren perfekt.

Absolut enttäuscht. Werder professioneller service vom Fach, noch Speisen die einer Gastronomie würdig sind. Trockenes Fleisch, nicht Abgebundene Sauce, Gewürze Fehlanzeige, wirkte alles etwas Fad. Extreme Wartezeit.

We had reserved a table for 5:30 p.m. (8 people). At 6:40 p.m., we were informed that it was our last chance to order. At 7:10 p.m., we were asked to leave, while the next guests were already waiting. Our reservation was supposed to end at 7:30 p.m. The whole experience was very unfriendly.

A lovely, quaint restaurant with delicious food and good service. We didn't have a reservation on Friday evening, so we visited the restaurant on a whim, and were only able to get a table from 5 to 7 p.m., but still, it's still a good idea to make a reservation.

We celebrated our civil wedding here. It was beautiful. The service was excellent and extremely friendly. After a brief preliminary discussion, we didn't have to worry about anything. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would use it again for my wedding.

Wir kommen regelmäßig sehr gerne zu Moni und Fritz! Es gibt eine feste Speisekarte und zusätzlich oft noch eine Tageskarte mit saisonalen Gerichten - alles immer frisch zubereitet und super lecker! Je nach Jahreszeit bzw. Wetter gibt es Plätze in der urigen Gaststube oder im wunderschönen Biergarten! Die Plätze sind heiß begehrt, daher unbedingt frühzeitig reservieren!

We stopped in for dinner at short notice on the recommendation of a local shop assistant. Despite not having a reservation, the place was quite busy, and they managed to get us a table for two. The food was excellent, very fresh, and the prices were fair. Highly recommended.

We discovered this delightful beer garden quite by chance while driving past and stopped by spontaneously. The interior is also very inviting, very friendly staff. This time we didn't eat anything, but the menu reads very well and what we saw at the neighboring tables also looked very good. Seasonal offer, moderate prices, we'll be back!

The best Kaiserschmarrn in the world, even special requests for small children fulfilled, personal and loving service and then the great ambience - everything is just right here! Super consistent, super good!

Highly recommended! We had goulash, meatballs, and Maultaschen on two evenings. Everything was great, but the three of us especially loved the Maultaschen – fantastic! The lovely ladies who looked after us were very friendly and attentive. Everything was perfect :-)

Great Allgäu atmosphere and food.

We were guests at Moni's on the last weekend in October. Actually we just wanted to have a quick beer and then go to the hut. Thank God the plan didn't work out because we felt so comfortable and spent the whole day with Moni. The inn at Strumpar is awesome! Food and drinks and especially the landlady Moni and her staff are unique in Oberstaufen. We are already looking forward to next year and will then spend more time with Moni. Disaster. The potato soup we ordered was a thin, sour soup. Not enjoyable for me. When I complained, the chef appeared in person and confronted me in the dining room with the words “if you think I’m giving out bad food then we both have a problem”. So successful self-criticism. The Maultaschen were burnt and in my opinion not homemade. The service staff tried to save the situation and apologized for the catastrophic performance. The chef and supposed owner then sat down provocatively at the neighboring table and handed out a schnapps. All in all, completely overpriced food of more than mediocre quality. Go to one of the many good restaurants in Oberstaufen and avoid a similar expensive failure.

Die bestellte Kartoffelsuppe war eine saure dünne Suppe, die nicht genießbar war. Auf meine Reklamation hin kam der Koch und drohte schon fast mit der Aussage „wenn Sie meinen ich gebe schlechtes Essen raus, dann haben WIR ein Problem „. Sehr unangenehme Situation. Die Maultaschen waren abgebrannt und niemals hausgemacht. Geschmack unterirdisch. Und deutlich überteuert. Anstatt sich wenigstens mit einem Schnaps erkenntlich zu zeigen ging der Koch - vermeintlich wohl auch der Inhaber- lieber mit der Flasche zum Nachbartisch. Hier wurde im übrigen auch die saure Kartoffelsuppe bestätigt. Laut Koch wurde die Suppe mit Essigswasser angerichtet. Lediglich die Bedienung war aufmerksam und entschuldigte die negative Erfahrung. Fazit: Geht in Oberstaufen woanders essen. Der Laden ist nicht zu empfehlen.

The selection of dishes could certainly be more diverse. For people with restrictions, such as vegetarians or intolerances, sometimes only 1-2 dishes were possible. The food itself was very tasty. The service was outstanding, both waiters were incredibly nice and attentive!

Rarely have we enjoyed such a perfect dinner! The super nice and authentic service is hard to beat 😇 I tried a specialty of the day and the lamb ragout from our own farm was excellent 🤌 We really enjoyed our stay in the cozy dining room and felt “homey”. Happy to come back 👍

Good morning, If you stop in Oberstaufen, you have to go to the inn. We had just arrived and happened to walk past. Unfortunately we didn't make a reservation, but the service made it possible. The food is great and the atmosphere is great. The waiters are unique. Would come back again and again.

The service was very unfriendly and selfish. We stood in front of the restaurant for twenty minutes until we were asked for the first time whether we had a reservation or not. After walking past us about the conditions 6 times and always giving us a very unfriendly look, we were then told that it wouldn't work without a reservation. In the end we waited 40 minutes for nothing. Maybe the food would have been very good but we couldn't try it. Hence 2 stars.

We were with you at Pentecost with the Biker Clique Hegau. We had great days with you. We had a lot of fun and were well looked after. Great inn with a super great landlady.

We didn't have a reservation. Actually, nothing would have been free. But the very nice waitress put us at a table (regulars' table) where a very nice gentleman was sitting. The food was super good. If we're here again, we'll make a reservation in advance 😊 Can only be recommended

Completely overwhelmed employees.. Prices do not correspond to the quality and very long waiting times.. certainly not again!

Unfortunately we waited for about an hour even though there wasn't much going on. The food would have been great, but unfortunately it was cold when we got it. The lady from the service apologized but unfortunately we didn't have any warm food.
