Update 2025: Still a dream here on our third visit! Very nice apartment, good food, and friendly service. Thank you for four wonderful days in the Allgäu, we'd love to come back!

The service is attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The menu primarily features regional specialties, freshly prepared and served with a down-to-earth approach. Whether you're looking for a place to stop for a bite to eat after a hike or simply want a place to enjoy both the view and hospitality, this is the perfect place.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but I did eat at the restaurant, and everything there was delicious and highly recommended. The waitress was extremely friendly, and the food was really, really good. The festive soup and the Kaiserschmarren are especially recommended.

Beautiful views from the terrace, delicious Bavarian food, and friendly service. Located right next to the Imbergbahn cable car, it's a great starting point for lovely hikes.

Highly recommended! We went there twice and had apple pie and Kaiserschmarrn – both delicious! Plus buttermilk and the best 'thirst quencher' (house drink) ever – all at fair prices. And you get a fantastic view from the terrace for free!

We had an event there = it was really fun. The service was very good. And the area/nature is amazing.

The restaurant is incredibly cozy. There's also a panoramic terrace with a beautiful view of the valley. They serve typical Allgäu specialties. The food was delicious. They had the best potato salad I've had in the region.

We have been coming to the IMBERGHAUS for 30 years, summer and winter, and it is always very beautiful in the Allgäu.

It was our second time there, and it was lovely again. A perfect day at your mountain inn. Thank you to your team for the friendly service. We all enjoyed the food immensely, and we really enjoyed the view.

Incredibly delicious food, both in terms of taste and appearance, friendly service, a great view, clean, and friendly, and absolutely excellent value for money. The roast beef with onions is quite expensive, but simply delicious. Also highly recommended: Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes), pancake soup, apple strudel, and Leberkäse (meatloaf) with potato salad. The coffee mug had a cow on it :)

The service and kitchen are hopelessly overwhelmed. It takes 40 minutes just to order a beer. I find it a disgrace when I stand at the bar for 40 minutes, all the waiters' orders are filled, but I'm ignored despite friendly interventions. Perhaps you should put up a sign saying "Unfortunately, no service today due to high demand." Then everyone will know and can act accordingly. Dear bar owners, how would you react if you drove to a gas station, everyone around you was being served, but you were simply left to wait?

The food is delicious, the interior is very tastefully decorated, and there are fresh flowers on the tables. The service is excellent, and the waitresses are very friendly. I can only recommend it!

Unfortunately, I had a skiing accident on the first day of our stay. All the staff were very helpful and offered a lot of support. A big thank you from my partner and I for the caring support. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The restaurant is cozy and, as described, in a rustic Allgäu style. Everything we ate was very, very tasty 😊👍. We'd love to come back!

This fantastic restaurant is located directly below the gondola lift. Whether for skiers, sledders, ski tourers, or hikers, it's easily accessible and highly recommended for its culinary delights. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious! The Kaiserschmarn is freshly prepared, and you can taste it. The dumplings are also a dream, as is the accompanying salad. 🤤

Ich kann nur vom Außenbereich berichten und hoffe, dass es Innen besser läuft. Außen gab es an den 4 Tagen, die wir dort waren zu wenig (und, meines Erachtens, ungeschultes) Personal. Eine Person macht die Kassen, die Getränke und räumt dazu noch die Spülmaschine aus. Das führt, auch wenn eigenlich nichts los ist, zu einer langen Schlange. Die Kasse ist im Getränkebereich stationiert, so dass man auch ewig anstehen muss, wenn man nur etwas zu Essen will. Hinzu kamen, aufgrund von Bedienungsfehler, mehrmal Probleme bei der Kartenzahlung. Es wäre schön, wenn hier in den nächsten Wintern etwas Investiert werden würde.

On January 1st, 2025 we were in Steibis and wanted to eat and drink something after our snowshoe hike. We ordered and paid for a bratwurst outside and were told we had to wait 10 minutes until it was ready. All right, no problem. Meanwhile, one of the two men behind the counter was so kind and went into the house for us to get us a latte macchiato and mulled wine because we still had our snowshoes on. When we got our drinks we paid and gave a tip for the exceptional service. When we had almost finished our drinks I noticed how suddenly others were getting their sausage before me, I went to ask where my sausage was. I was then turned away very briskly and claimed that the others had ordered before us. I thought to myself, well, then maybe he forgot that I had ordered and paid long before. When he then asked me to come over to get the sausage, he wanted me to pay for my sausage. I then said that I had already paid for my sausage, which my family could attest to because they were standing next to me when I paid. The man with a gap in his lower jaw and shaggy hair insulted me and said that wasn't true, that I should run away with my sausage and never come back. I kept calm and wanted to explain to the man that I had already paid, etc. He didn't listen and then insulted my mother that we hadn't paid for the drinks - even though that was with his colleague and not with him. I left the sausage and we left. When we arrived in the valley, my mother complained to the information desk. The woman was very nice and said it wasn't possible at all and that she was very sorry and would pass on the complaint. I never write bad things, but something like that doesn't work. I'm in the mountains very often and have never experienced anything so outrageous. I went to Steibis again and again during my childhood and thought it would be nice again. First day of the new year with an experience like this - no more in Steibis.

Cozy hut with the usual ski hut food. But with service.

Great service, highly recommended food. The cheese and spinach dumplings are particularly a hit.

Very good cuisine, delicious food and drinks, especially the homemade lemonades with elderberry, grapefruit, orange and rhubarb are a real hit

**A lovely stay at the Imberghaus** Our visit to the Imberghaus was a lovely experience of our holiday in the mountains. The inn is easy to reach, right next to the Im Bergbahn and offers a fantastic view of Steibis and Oberstaufen - perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet after a hike. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. You felt comfortable and welcome from the first moment. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic, Bavarian, rustic atmosphere in the inn. It invites you to linger longer and simply unwind. We weren't disappointed with the food either. The mountain cheese rösti with fresh salad was simply delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn with plum roast was the perfect ending. Both dishes were hearty, traditional and offered exactly what you would hope for from Bavarian cuisine. The prices are absolutely fair and average, especially considering the quality of the food and the great ambience. We can only warmly recommend the Imberghaus and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Nice, clean guesthouse right at the cable car station. Beautiful terrace with a view over the region. Enough selection of food. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle was disappointing and didn't taste like anything. The cheese soup is way too salty. Too bad! The staff is very friendly.

Actually everything was perfect, I found drinks a little too expensive. But the nice service and great food at the right price make up for it. In addition, the view is fantastic and the ambience invites you to relax and feel good.

The worst service I have ever experienced. We were neither greeted nor acknowledged. Even after we asked 2/3 times if we could order something, we were ignored. After 25 minutes we left. In the meantime, a lady was yelled at by the man behind the bar when she asked where she could order food. Another lady was hit on stupidly. This is really the last one.

The saving place in severe storms; Eaten and drank well - new visit on your next Allgäu vacation!

Excessive prices, poor quality of the drinks (Aperol is half ice, red wine tastes musty) and the food (cheese spaetzle swimming in liquid butter, salad drowning in dressing) and cheeky service. Pure Allgäu!

Ate there out of season after a long hike. The restaurant was empty and we were the only visitors. So hardly any waiting time. Drinks 5 minutes. Eating about 20 minutes We had Leberkäs with potato salad and Maultaschen with onions and potato salad. Both were very tasty. Shared a yeast dumpling for dessert. Price/performance is ok. Gladly again on your next visit to the Allgäu.

Erg leuk en super goed eten, zeer flexibel met reserveren van de mooiste plek in het restaurant. Tijdens de vakantie 3x voor de lunch bezocht. Aanraders, Schublingen of tomatensoep ook de bij hoorende salades zijn top. Bier van de tap is geweldig

Nice inn for a break Went skiing today and stopped by here at lunchtime. I have to say that I was extremely satisfied with the visit. The menu has many good dishes. The service is very friendly and the prices are good too. The only drawback is that my flädle soup was a bit too salty but the rest was very satisfied. Lovely again!

Very cozy restaurant with a grill in the outdoor area. Located on the slope, great view of the gondola and the ski school. The high mountains can be seen on the opposite side...

Wir waren hier Weihnachten und Silvester zu Gast und genossen die Zeit, die freundlichen Servicemenschen und das sehr gute Essen. Das wollten wir mal ohne Eis, Schnee und Weihnachtsstimmung wiederholen.- Nach der mühsamen Wanderung bergauf wurden wir wieder mit Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit empfangen. Essen und Getränke waren sehr gut. Käsespätzle sind dringend zu empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder! - Tipp: Hochwandern und mit der Imbergbahn wieder ins Tal. Schont die Gelenke!

Freundliche Bedienung, kühle Geräte, tolle Aussicht.

Sehr schön gelegen direkt an der Bergstation. Bushaltestelle ist auch in der Nähe. Terrasse mit super Ausblick über die Region. Essen super lecker und gute Portionen. Aufgestellte Bedienung und dafür, dass es viele Leute hatte, schneller Service. Gerne wieder!

Very beautiful view. Decent food portions & the place was unexpectedly quiet and not too busy especially in the summer since that is when we visited. Service was good. The changing area for babies was a bit sad and ill thought out

Geheimtipp! Sehr ordentlich, tolle Qualität, ausgezeichneter Service, sehr gute Stimmung, alle sehr nett und auf "Zack"! Hat man heute leider ganz selten! Weiter so! Wir kommen immer wieder!!!

Wenn wir beim Wandern sind kehren wir gerne im Imberghaus ein. Ich persönlich freu mich immer auf den leckeren Tafelspitz. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienungen.

Schönes Haus und vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten, drinnen wie draußen. Super Aussicht von dort. Große Portionen, nettes Personal. Kleiner Saal zum Feiern o.ä. vorhanden. Schön!

Sind nach einer Wanderung recht hungrig dort eingekehrt. Um auf der Terasse Platz zu nehmen sind wir durchs Lokal direkt an den Bedienungen vorbei gelaufen. Haben jedoch ca. 20 Minuten warten müssen, bis wir bedient wurden und auch das Essen hat lange auf sich warten lassen. Die Brotzeitplatte hat sehr gut geschmeckt und war auch ausreichend. Allerdings fänden wir hierzu eine Essig-Gurke (statt Salatgurke) passender und eine Gabel und eine Serviette wären auch schön gewesen. Da man die Bedienungen nur äußerst selten gesehen hat, war ein Nachordern mühselig.

Der Kaiserschmarrn ist zu empfehlen 👍 Innen total gemütlich und urig. Gute Ausgangsbasis für Wanderungen.

Zentraler Ausgangspunkt für Skifahrer und Wanderer. Umfangreiches Speisen- und Getränkeangebot. Sehr leckerer, hausgemachter Kuchen. Schmandkuchen unbedingt zu empfehlen! Viele Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Zuerst einmal muss man dem sehr freundlichen Personal danken, dass Tag für Tag diesen Ansturm von Gästen bewältigt und doch immer freundlich ist. Für gutes Essen kann man warten und letztendlich sind wir nicht auf der Flucht, sondern um einen schönen Tag zu genießen.

Wir hatten zum Weihnachtsessen am Mittag einen Tisch reserviert. Es ging mit Seilbahn von Steinbis hinauf. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und der Kachelofen verbreitete eine wohlige Wärme. Die Produkte waren frisch, das Essen bekömmlich, der Service sehr zuvorkomnend und freundlich. Die Toiletten waren abdolut sauber. Silvester: Das gleiche Erlebnis zu Silvester. Unsere Servicekraft Monika war sehr freundlich und stets wie ein "unsichtbarer" Geist um unser Wohl besorgt. Danke dafür!- Stimmung machte eine Zweimanncombo mit Gitarre und Akkordion. Von "Alpenglühen" bis "Atemlos durch die Nacht" gaben die Zwei alles. Eine unvergleichliche Silvesternacht!
