Das Imberghaus in Oberstaufen

Wir haben während unseres Familienausflugs auf den Imberg im Berghaus eingekehrt und waren rundum begeistert. Schon beim Ankommen wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Gerade mit Kindern ist es schön, wenn man merkt, dass Familien herzlich willkommen sind. Besonders gefreut hat uns außerdem, dass auch Hunde herzlich willkommen sind – so konnte die ganze Familie inklusive Vierbeiner den Ausflug gemeinsam genießen. Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und mit hochwertigen Zutaten. Es gab für jeden etwas Passendes, auch unsere Kinder haben ihr Essen begeistert aufgegessen, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Portionen waren großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut fair. Besonders die regionalen Gerichte können wir nur empfehlen. Der Service war ebenfalls erstklassig. Das gesamte Team war aufmerksam, herzlich und trotz des gut besuchten Hauses stets freundlich und schnell. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich wertgeschätzt. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die wunderschöne Bergpanoramaterrasse. Sie lädt zum Verweilen ein und bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf die Allgäuer Bergwelt. Hier kann man nach einer Wanderung oder einer Fahrt mit der Imbergbahn wunderbar entspannen, die frische Bergluft genießen und einfach die herrliche Aussicht auf sich wirken lassen. Genau so stellt man sich eine Einkehr in den Bergen vor. Für uns war der Besuch ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Tolles Essen, hervorragender Service, eine fantastische Bergpanoramaterrasse, eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft gegenüber Familien und Hunden – mehr kann man sich kaum wünschen. Wir kommen bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt im Allgäu ganz sicher wieder und können das Berghaus auf dem Imberg uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Eigentlich wollten wir uns hier nur wegen dem Regen unterstellen, innen angekommen ist es aber so gemütlich, da mussten wir einfach bleiben. Ganz toller Service, super Ambiente und richtig gute Speisen. Empfehlenswert!

Gemütliche Hütte mit schönen Wintergarten

Wunderschön gelegen, direkt neben der Imbergbahn und gleich am Wanderweg hoch von Steibis. Tolle Terrassen, faire Preise und leckere Speisen sind wirklich ein Grund dort eine Rast einzulegen.

Nach dem Panoramawanderweg sind wir hier eingekehrt. Auf der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Wir hatten einen Kaiserschmarrn und ein kleines Schnitzel. Beides war sehr gut und auch preislich ok.

Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre die Aussicht ist beeindruckend das Essen ist empfehlenswert und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Ein gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit nettem Service und leckerem Essen. Man kann draußen oder auch drinnen sitzen. Draußen gibt es auch reichlich Shezlongs um in der Sonne zu chillen. Einen Stern habe ich dennoch abgezogen, weil es drinnen ziemlich kühl war, uns war es kalt!

Schöne Lage, bei strahlendem Sonnenscheintag, aber das war's auch schon. Öffnungszeiten lt. Info bis 17.30. Ich kam un 16.45 und wurde mit einem "was machen Sie hier?" Am Türrahmen der offenen Tür empfangen. Entsprechend nicht freundlich war die weitere Kommunikation, wo man gesagt bekommt "ist ja schließlich niemand mehr da, deshalb gibt s auch nix mehr und wir haben nicht mehr geöffnet" . Ich wollte noch was trinken, weil Küche ja um 16.30 schließt, aber das war für eine Person wohl zu viel Aufwand. Also lieber wieder zu den bewirtschafteten Almen im Gebiet, dort geht es freundlicher zu! Schade, dass man eine negative Bewertung nicht wahrheitsgemäß stehen lassen kann, wenn man doch sonst so viele positive Bewertungen hat. Genauso wurde ich empfangen und nicht anders. Vielleicht hatte die Dame einen schlechten Tag, auch das soll vorkommen. Der Hinweis auf den an der Talstation gelegenen Gasthof war da, was aber für mich nicht nötig ist, wenn man das Auto stehen hat und eh heimfährt und gerne am Berg oben einkehren möchte. Vielleicht einfach die Öffnungszeiten anpassen lassen und ggf.eine Info dazuschreiben, dass bei Schlechtwetter oder anderen Anlässen früher geschlossen wird, wäre eine Möglichkeit. Und: Alm und Alp (oder Alpe) bezeichnen inhaltlich das Gleiche: eine hochgelegene Bergweide mit Gebäuden, die im Sommer zur Viehhaltung genutzt wird, „Alm“ ist der Begriff in Bayern und Österreich. Personal war unfreundlich zu meinen Kindern, die auch als Kunden etwas bestellen wollten. Finde es sehr schlecht, wenn man im Service nur nett zu den Eltern ist, die das Trinkgeld zahlen.

Authentische Skihütte mit schnellem Service und einer schönen Speiseauswahl.

Wunderschön gelegen am Fuße der Pisten, bietet dieser Ort herrliche Sitzgelegenheiten mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Beachten Sie, dass Sie einen steilen Hügel hinaufsteigen oder den Skilift nehmen müssen, um hierher zu gelangen. Da es hier meist sehr voll ist, wird Barzahlung bevorzugt.

Top Mittagessen, lecker und reichhaltig

Wir hatten die Location als Tagesgast und Skifahrer besucht und sind vom Service und der Qualität der Speisen und Getränke sehr zufrieden. Die Bedienung ist umsichtig und erkannte die Wünsche der Gäste schon ohne Nachfrage. Die Unart einiger Skigäste ihre Skier dort fallen zu lassen wo sie gerade stehen ist schon belastend. Der Gastwirt warf diese dann beherzt beiseite um sich mit seinem Schneemobil Zugang zu seiner Location zu verschaffen. Eine ganz normale Reaktion wenn man bedenkt was dort den ganzen Tag abgeleistet wird. Hut ab und weiterhin frohes Schaffen. Wir kommen gern zu Euch 😀

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett. Und ja man wird am Tisch bedient, keine Schlangen und Selbstbedienung. Top!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ich war als DJ auf einer Hochzeit im Imberghaus Oberstaufen tätig und habe die Location als sehr professionell und angenehm erlebt. Die Organisation vor Ort war gut strukturiert, die technische Ausstattung zuverlässig und die Abstimmung während der Feier verlief reibungslos. Für Hochzeiten und Events ist das Imberghaus Oberstaufen eine klare Empfehlung. Über eine zukünftige Zusammenarbeit würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Bei schönem Wetter am 15. Januar in der Sonne ein Bierchen getrunken und Leberkässemmel gegessen. Echt top!!!

Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort, im Winter wie im Sommer. Die Qualität des Essens ist gut und auch wenn es mal voll ist funktioniert der Service gut. Macht weiter so!

Rösti mit Salat. Nette Bedienung. Direkt an der Bergstation.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit uriger Atmosphäre – genau der richtige Ort nach einer Tour oder für einen entspannten Einkehrschwung. Die Käsespätzle waren richtig gut: herzhaft, cremig und nicht lieblos zusammengeschmissen. Der Kaiserschmarrn war ebenfalls top, locker und geschmacklich genau so, wie er sein sollte. Ehrlich gesagt wirkte das Personal etwas unter Stress. Kein Drama, aber man merkt es – hier läuft nicht alles ganz entspannt ab. Trotzdem: Das Essen hat das klar wettgemacht. Gute Küche schlägt kleine Servicehaken. Unterm Strich absolut empfehlenswert. Wer gutes Hüttenessen sucht und keine sterile Perfektion erwartet, ist hier richtig.

Update September 2025 Waren inzwischen schon ca. 10 mal dort in der Fewo Staufenblick und freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal. Tolle Wohnung mit super Ausicht, hervorragendes Frühstück und immer sehr gutes Essen in der Wirtschaft. Tolle Lage und Aussicht. Service und Essen sehr gut. Bis bald.

Das Imberghaus ist ein wahres Juwel in den Bergen! Schon beim Betreten spürt man die herzliche Atmosphäre, die durch das freundliche und aufmerksame Team getragen wird. Die Gastfreundschaft ist echt und sorgt sofort dafür, dass man sich willkommen fühlt. Kulinarisch bleibt kein Wunsch offen: Die Gerichte sind frisch zubereitet, mit Liebe angerichtet und verbinden regionale Spezialitäten mit feinem Gespür für Qualität. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die [hier kannst du deine Lieblingsgerichte einfügen], die nicht nur geschmacklich überzeugen, sondern auch optisch ein Genuss sind. Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein – ob nach einer Wanderung, zum entspannten Abendessen oder einfach für eine Auszeit mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Preis-Leistung sind absolut stimmig, und man merkt, dass hier Leidenschaft und Können in jedem Detail stecken. Kurz gesagt: Wer gutes Essen, authentische Gastlichkeit und ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis sucht, ist im Imberghaus genau richtig. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung – ich komme garantiert wieder!

The service is attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The menu primarily features regional specialties, freshly prepared and served with a down-to-earth approach. Whether you're looking for a place to stop for a bite to eat after a hike or simply want a place to enjoy both the view and hospitality, this is the perfect place.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but I did eat at the restaurant, and everything there was delicious and highly recommended. The waitress was extremely friendly, and the food was really, really good. The festive soup and the Kaiserschmarren are especially recommended.

Beautiful views from the terrace, delicious Bavarian food, and friendly service. Located right next to the Imbergbahn cable car, it's a great starting point for lovely hikes.

Highly recommended! We went there twice and had apple pie and Kaiserschmarrn – both delicious! Plus buttermilk and the best 'thirst quencher' (house drink) ever – all at fair prices. And you get a fantastic view from the terrace for free!

We had an event there = it was really fun. The service was very good. And the area/nature is amazing.

The restaurant is incredibly cozy. There's also a panoramic terrace with a beautiful view of the valley. They serve typical Allgäu specialties. The food was delicious. They had the best potato salad I've had in the region.

Incredibly delicious food, both in terms of taste and appearance, friendly service, a great view, clean, and friendly, and absolutely excellent value for money. The roast beef with onions is quite expensive, but simply delicious. Also highly recommended: Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes), pancake soup, apple strudel, and Leberkäse (meatloaf) with potato salad. The coffee mug had a cow on it :)

The service and kitchen are hopelessly overwhelmed. It takes 40 minutes just to order a beer. I find it a disgrace when I stand at the bar for 40 minutes, all the waiters' orders are filled, but I'm ignored despite friendly interventions. Perhaps you should put up a sign saying "Unfortunately, no service today due to high demand." Then everyone will know and can act accordingly. Dear bar owners, how would you react if you drove to a gas station, everyone around you was being served, but you were simply left to wait?

The food is delicious, the interior is very tastefully decorated, and there are fresh flowers on the tables. The service is excellent, and the waitresses are very friendly. I can only recommend it!

Unfortunately, I had a skiing accident on the first day of our stay. All the staff were very helpful and offered a lot of support. A big thank you from my partner and I for the caring support. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished and well equipped. The restaurant is cozy and, as described, in a rustic Allgäu style. Everything we ate was very, very tasty 😊👍. We'd love to come back!

This fantastic restaurant is located directly below the gondola lift. Whether for skiers, sledders, ski tourers, or hikers, it's easily accessible and highly recommended for its culinary delights. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious! The Kaiserschmarn is freshly prepared, and you can taste it. The dumplings are also a dream, as is the accompanying salad. 🤤

Ich kann nur vom Außenbereich berichten und hoffe, dass es Innen besser läuft. Außen gab es an den 4 Tagen, die wir dort waren zu wenig (und, meines Erachtens, ungeschultes) Personal. Eine Person macht die Kassen, die Getränke und räumt dazu noch die Spülmaschine aus. Das führt, auch wenn eigenlich nichts los ist, zu einer langen Schlange. Die Kasse ist im Getränkebereich stationiert, so dass man auch ewig anstehen muss, wenn man nur etwas zu Essen will. Hinzu kamen, aufgrund von Bedienungsfehler, mehrmal Probleme bei der Kartenzahlung. Es wäre schön, wenn hier in den nächsten Wintern etwas Investiert werden würde.

On January 1st, 2025 we were in Steibis and wanted to eat and drink something after our snowshoe hike. We ordered and paid for a bratwurst outside and were told we had to wait 10 minutes until it was ready. All right, no problem. Meanwhile, one of the two men behind the counter was so kind and went into the house for us to get us a latte macchiato and mulled wine because we still had our snowshoes on. When we got our drinks we paid and gave a tip for the exceptional service. When we had almost finished our drinks I noticed how suddenly others were getting their sausage before me, I went to ask where my sausage was. I was then turned away very briskly and claimed that the others had ordered before us. I thought to myself, well, then maybe he forgot that I had ordered and paid long before. When he then asked me to come over to get the sausage, he wanted me to pay for my sausage. I then said that I had already paid for my sausage, which my family could attest to because they were standing next to me when I paid. The man with a gap in his lower jaw and shaggy hair insulted me and said that wasn't true, that I should run away with my sausage and never come back. I kept calm and wanted to explain to the man that I had already paid, etc. He didn't listen and then insulted my mother that we hadn't paid for the drinks - even though that was with his colleague and not with him. I left the sausage and we left. When we arrived in the valley, my mother complained to the information desk. The woman was very nice and said it wasn't possible at all and that she was very sorry and would pass on the complaint. I never write bad things, but something like that doesn't work. I'm in the mountains very often and have never experienced anything so outrageous. I went to Steibis again and again during my childhood and thought it would be nice again. First day of the new year with an experience like this - no more in Steibis.

**A lovely stay at the Imberghaus** Our visit to the Imberghaus was a lovely experience of our holiday in the mountains. The inn is easy to reach, right next to the Im Bergbahn and offers a fantastic view of Steibis and Oberstaufen - perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet after a hike. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive. You felt comfortable and welcome from the first moment. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic, Bavarian, rustic atmosphere in the inn. It invites you to linger longer and simply unwind. We weren't disappointed with the food either. The mountain cheese rösti with fresh salad was simply delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn with plum roast was the perfect ending. Both dishes were hearty, traditional and offered exactly what you would hope for from Bavarian cuisine. The prices are absolutely fair and average, especially considering the quality of the food and the great ambience. We can only warmly recommend the Imberghaus and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Nice, clean guesthouse right at the cable car station. Beautiful terrace with a view over the region. Enough selection of food. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle was disappointing and didn't taste like anything. The cheese soup is way too salty. Too bad! The staff is very friendly.

Actually everything was perfect, I found drinks a little too expensive. But the nice service and great food at the right price make up for it. In addition, the view is fantastic and the ambience invites you to relax and feel good.

The worst service I have ever experienced. We were neither greeted nor acknowledged. Even after we asked 2/3 times if we could order something, we were ignored. After 25 minutes we left. In the meantime, a lady was yelled at by the man behind the bar when she asked where she could order food. Another lady was hit on stupidly. This is really the last one.

The saving place in severe storms; Eaten and drank well - new visit on your next Allgäu vacation!

Ate there out of season after a long hike. The restaurant was empty and we were the only visitors. So hardly any waiting time. Drinks 5 minutes. Eating about 20 minutes We had Leberkäs with potato salad and Maultaschen with onions and potato salad. Both were very tasty. Shared a yeast dumpling for dessert. Price/performance is ok. Gladly again on your next visit to the Allgäu.

Erg leuk en super goed eten, zeer flexibel met reserveren van de mooiste plek in het restaurant. Tijdens de vakantie 3x voor de lunch bezocht. Aanraders, Schublingen of tomatensoep ook de bij hoorende salades zijn top. Bier van de tap is geweldig

Nice inn for a break Went skiing today and stopped by here at lunchtime. I have to say that I was extremely satisfied with the visit. The menu has many good dishes. The service is very friendly and the prices are good too. The only drawback is that my flädle soup was a bit too salty but the rest was very satisfied. Lovely again!

Very cozy restaurant with a grill in the outdoor area. Located on the slope, great view of the gondola and the ski school. The high mountains can be seen on the opposite side...

Das wollten wir mal ohne Eis, Schnee und Weihnachtsstimmung wiederholen.- Nach der mühsamen Wanderung bergauf wurden wir wieder mit Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit empfangen. Essen und Getränke waren sehr gut. Käsespätzle sind dringend zu empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder! - Tipp: Hochwandern und mit der Imbergbahn wieder ins Tal. Schont die Gelenke!
