Da ich keine Ahnung von den Portionen hatte, habe ich mir ein gefülltes Fladenbrot mit pulled probestellt, als Beilage Ofengemüse und noch den Fleischkäse Teller mit 2 mega dicken Scheiben darauf noch jeweils ein Spiegelei und Nen Haufen Pommes. Alles Perfekt,bis auf die Bauchschmerzen weil ich alles gegessen habe 😂 absolute Empfehlung

Absolut untragbar – Rassismus und unprofessionelles Verhalten Nicht mal ein Stern wert. Ich habe während meines Aufenthalts mitbekommen, wie der Chef des Hauses mit anderen umgegangen ist. Das Verhalten war nicht nur komplett unprofessionell und asozial, sondern vor allem zutiefst rassistisch und herablassend. Es war zudem unübersehbar, dass er stark alkoholisiert war, was in der Gastro ohnehin ein absolutes No-Go ist. Man sollte dieses Restaurant definitiv meiden. Wer Wert auf Respekt, Anstand und ein diskriminierungsfreies Umfeld legt, sollte einen großen Bogen um diesen Laden machen. Nie wieder!

War den Besuch auf jeden Fall wert. Menge und Qualität waren gut. Die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Da wir Abends da waren, gab es leider keinen Nachtisch mehr. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder und testen hoffentlich beim nächsten Mal den Nachtisch.

Ganz ok und mit leider nur einer kleinen Auswahl an Speisen zur Mittagszeit. An der Hauptstraße ist es laut.

Wir waren im Winterwald Gevelsberg und sind rundum begeistert! Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll gestaltet man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Der Service war super freundlich aufmerksam und schnell. Man merkt sofort dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Das Essen war einfach top sehr lecker frisch und schön angerichtet. Auch die Preise sind absolut fair für die Qualität die man bekommt. Insgesamt ein wirklich gelungener Besuch wir kommen definitiv wieder. Klare Empfehlung!

Auf der Karte gab es nicht mehr viel. Habe Currywurst mit Pommes. War okay.

Essen war sehr lecker dazu recht viel zu einem angenehmen Preis. Service freundlich wir waren sehr zufrieden. Kommen wieder.

Sorry, aber das Essen war die letzten Male sehr salzlastig. (Soßen und Pommes). Das Pfannengemüse war, unübersehbar angebrannt. Sowas serviert zu bekommen, ist für mich eine Beleidigung und Missachtung.

Wer sich satt essen möchte für kleines Geld wird nicht enttäuscht aber geschmacklich eher nicht so toll.

Wir hatten einen Krustenbraten sowie einen Pulled-Pork-Teller – beides war mehr als reichlich portioniert, wunderbar zart und geschmacklich ausgezeichnet! Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Qualität des Fleisches: saftig, perfekt gewürzt und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Dazu gab es einen bissfesten Gemüseteller, der die Gerichte ideal ergänzt hat. Auch hier stimmte die Frische und Zubereitung. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich unschlagbar. Die Zubereitung erfolgte zügig und der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Die schnellste Currywurst meines Lebens. Es hat keine fünf Minuten gedauert da hatte ich schon mein Essen. Leider war die Wurst und die Pommes lauwarm aber die Soße war heiß. Ich war heute das erste Mal bei euch aber auch leider das letzte Mal. Würde auch mehr zahlen für warmes Essen. Wünsche euch viel Erfolg.

Absolut empfehlenswert dort essen zu gehen. Selten so ein top Preis/Leistungsverhältnis gahabt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir wurden sehr gut bedient. Die Mädels Alina K. und Nadine haben uns grandios in Empfang genommen und versorgt. Ein dickes Lob an die beiden Mädels. Aber auch an die Köche, die eine wirklich guten Job machen. Hier schaue ich gerne nochmals vorbei. Grüße von den 6er Tisch mit der Williams Birne.

Good and reasonably priced food, with three different dishes to choose from daily in addition to the regular menu. For popular dishes such as roulades, roast goose leg, etc., it's recommended to pre-order. Large portions, friendly staff, highly recommended 👍🏻

Everything is fine and in good order, but basic. For the low price, there's nothing to complain about.

This is a health hazard! Two out of two meals arrived incomplete. The staff said, "I'll bring it right away." Unfortunately, that was all they said. Afterward, I actually had to argue that I wouldn't pay for what we hadn't received. The manager (or head chef?) reacted to the criticism with inappropriate flippancy. He went outside for a smoke (and coughed into that same hand), immediately afterward sorted bowls at the salad bar, and continued working in the kitchen without washing his hands (the kitchen door was open). At that point, I was full! Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN!

We were passing through and were told about this restaurant by a guest from another restaurant whose kitchen wasn't open yet. We were definitely not disappointed. I wouldn't have thought you could eat such a delicious meal for such a reasonable price. The portions were so large that we couldn't finish them all. Even the children's portions were so large that one portion would have fed two kids. Yes, the sauce was ready-made, and the schnitzel was probably from a deep fryer. So what? Isn't it like that in other restaurants? They do completely different things there, and here you could even watch the chef at work, so I don't understand why other people complain. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. It's a shame we can't take this restaurant back to Bielefeld; it would definitely be very popular there. The only thing that could be improved was the restrooms. They were clean, but not particularly inviting.

Schnitzel Soooo tough and dark brown from the fryer, you couldn't eat it

Anyone who likes good, old-fashioned local food should definitely go there. Whether you eat in or takeaway, it's simply fantastic.

Hello everyone. I was there for the first time today with a friend, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The prices were top-notch. I was completely full, and so was my friend. The service was really great. All I can say is, top... 5 stars... if I could, 10 stars... I'm already looking forward to the next time. Thanks again...

Unfortunately, I have to retract my previous review. The food has deteriorated considerably, as has the service. When it's not too busy, the girls do a great job, but when it gets busy, it can easily take an hour before anyone even speaks to you. After telling three different employees that we'd like to order, we were once fobbed off with, "I'll let my colleague know." The second said, "She just wanted to take a look," and the third said, "That she'd be right over." When we pointed out that two tables had already been served even though they had arrived after us, the only response was, "Well, then you have to say something." No thanks, this place is getting a bit old-fashioned by now.

The wait was very long for the food to be ready, and the place wasn't even busy. The dirty table left by the previous customers wasn't wiped down, even though it was very dirty. For the second time, many dishes were sold out. But waiting an hour for schnitzel and fries is simply too much. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

I went there for lunch with my brother on Saturday. We had roast pork with spaetzle and salad. The roast pork was huge, the crust crispy, and the meat super delicious. It was plentiful and very reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and humorous. Thank you so much for the lovely service 😉

Today around 7 p.m., sat down at a free table outside, left after about 15 minutes because the waiter wasn't in the mood or something similar...went 50 meters further to the Greek restaurant, sat down, was greeted warmly, and had food on the table within 15 minutes...Winterwald once and never again, thank you

This was our first time there for lunch, as the Winterwald restaurant actually has consistently good reviews. The staff is very friendly, but the food on offer is limited. There wasn't much choice, and some of that was removed. Apparently, you can order from the menu after 5:00 PM. We had the chicken breast fillet with fries and salad twice, and the shish kebab with fries once. The fries were still soggy inside, and the chicken breast fillet was served with a spicy, Chinese (ready-made?) sauce, which wasn't listed on the menu and was therefore inedible, at least for me. The portions are large, the price is reasonable, but we've had much tastier food elsewhere. It's better to pay a little more... You can tell that everything is prepared and served quickly. I'm happy to give the two stars for the friendly staff; one star would have been enough for the food. I've removed the second star today because we tried it again in the evening and were disappointed again. We ordered a vegetarian schnitzel, a Hawaiian schnitzel, and a paprika schnitzel. The schnitzels were apparently very tough, although the vegetarian schnitzel was actually quite tasty. According to my husband, the paprika sauce could have been made by a child; was it mostly ketchup? The cream sauce was also a ready-made sauce. The fries were heavily salted and, just like last time, soggy on the inside. All in all, recommended for people who want a lot of food for a little money and are therefore willing to compromise on quality.

We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday as guests for a birthday party, and to sum it up, I give it 6 out of 5 stars. Delicious food, large portions, fast, and friendly service. We sat outside and had a lovely time. To top it all off, everything was really reasonably priced. It's great that something like this still exists these days! Thank you so much!!!

A very cozy restaurant. We visited spontaneously and were surprised by the selection and the unbeatable prices. It used to be good. The last time we were there, we got an old schnitzel and reheated fried potatoes. The service was very nice. But unfortunately, the food has become abysmally bad. We won't go there anymore.

Daily specials and a few standard dishes. Typical home-style cooking (e.g., stews) and snacks (e.g., schnitzel). Very friendly staff. Compared to other restaurants, service is very quick. The good quality and reasonable prices sometimes lead to high demand. Understandably, it can sometimes take a little longer. If you want to dine with a group at lunchtime, please make a reservation in advance.

All in all, I give it 4 stars. The food from the evening menu was of very good quality and offered unbeatable value for money. This proves that both quality and quantity can still be affordable! Huge respect! I'm deducting one star due to what I consider to be inattentive and extremely reserved service staff. With a little more attention, we definitely would have ordered one or two more drinks, but unfortunately, we weren't asked again after the first drinks were served.

They serve delicious dishes here at very reasonable prices, from €5.00 to €9.00. We paid €35.00 for three people, including drinks! The staff was very friendly!

We ate here with two people. What can I say? Very, very tasty and the portions are incredibly good. I had Jägerschnitzel with fries and my wife had Paprika Schnitzel with fried potatoes. People say I'm a really good eater and NEVER leave anything behind. But I didn't manage to finish this portion. For starters we went to the salad bar and put together a small salad (tomato, iceberg lettuce, corn, etc.). When the main course came, I wished I hadn't had a salad. Service was super friendly and quick. Prices TOP (9.50 euros for the entire dish). Where can you get something like that for this price these days? Thanks to the team and see you next time...

Opening times vary depending on your mood. Was there today and although it was supposed to be open until 10 p.m., I was turned away at 8:15 p.m., it would be closed now. That doesn't work at all.

The interior is really tastefully decorated!!! However, there is also a terrace facing Mittelstrasse. In addition to all kinds of home cooking, there are schnitzel and goulash, pulled pork or chicken breast and much more!!! Small price and HUGE portions! The service staff were very attentive and friendly! You feel very, very comfortable there! From 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. there is an extensive lunch menu for a very small price! My favorite is the ZWICKEL from FASS!

We actually go out to eat in the winter forest quite often and have been satisfied every time. If you are looking for typical restaurant cuisine for a festive evening, you won't find it here, but you will find cheap, good and filling dishes that are served in a friendly and down-to-earth atmosphere. It is also clean and the facilities have a certain flair.

What else should you write? Food top, service very friendly and even families who are not in a good financial position can go out for a delicious meal again. You have to ask yourself whether the other restaurants are getting tired of milking people dry. I would love to come back.

Were here on a business trip... I discovered it by chance because there were a lot of restaurants open on Monday evenings... Luckily... mega delicious schnitzels with side dishes and all for a great price. Service very friendly. Beer delicious I can only recommend it. Anyone who is in Gevelsberg has to come here.

Unfortunately, the quality of the service has declined significantly. The food is definitely still very decent and tasty for the price. But today, once again, we weren't served at all. Even though we sat at the table for twenty minutes and waved at the waitress, we couldn't even place an order. In my opinion it was good to do, but not extremely busy and other tables were served. That means to me now that I won't go there anymore. I understand if it takes a little longer (lots to do, new people etc). But ignore it completely, that's just not possible!!
