HochZehn "Lieblingsküche" in Gevelsberg

Leider kann ich weder das Essen noch den Service vor Ort bewerten, da unsere Reservierung vom Restaurant storniert wurde. Ich hatte bereits Mitte Juni einen Tisch für 15 Personen reserviert, da wir das Hoch10 für ein Teamevent ausgewählt hatten. Etwa einen Monat später erhielt ich einen Anruf mit der Information, dass unsere Reservierung nicht eingehalten werden könne. Als Begründung wurde genannt, dass eine größere Gruppe, die ihre Reservierung zuvor abgesagt hatte, sich nun doch für diesen Termin entschieden habe. Besonders enttäuschend fand ich nicht nur die Absage selbst, sondern auch den Umgang damit. Auf meine verständliche Verärgerung reagierte der Mitarbeiter lediglich mit dem Hinweis, dass es ja noch andere Restaurants gäbe. Fehler können passieren. Entscheidend ist jedoch, wie damit umgegangen wird. In diesem Fall hatte ich leider nicht den Eindruck, dass bereits bestätigte Reservierungen zuverlässig eingehalten oder wertgeschätzt werden. Wer für einen wichtigen Anlass auf eine verbindliche Reservierung angewiesen ist, sollte dies bei der Restaurantwahl berücksichtigen.

In einem historischen Gebäude durften wir die hohe Kochkunst von Alexander Pfeiler genießen. Der Service ist überaus freundlich und positiv auffallend engagiert. Die Speisen sind von bester Qualität kreativ und visuell ansprechend zubereitet. Bei der Kritik über den gewünschten Garpunkt des Fisches und Fleisches von drei Personen gab es für den ganzen 6ser Tisch zu Entschädigung ein Glas Champagner. Chapeau!

Wir hatten wirklich einen tollen Abend im HochZehn! Wir waren eine größere Gesellschaft und hatten ein Menü vorbestellt, wo eine Hauptgang noch gewählt werden konnte. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Das Essen war köstlich und kam zur richtigen Zeit. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und durchweg freundlich. Uns hat der Abend wirklich sehr gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder! Sowohl für Einzelpersonen als auch für Gruppen empfehlenswert.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir durften unsere Hochzeitsfeier am 23.05.2026 hier feiern und könnten glücklicher mit unserer Wahl nicht sein! Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und rund 30 Grad fand unsere freie Trauung im Außenbereich statt. Der Parkplatz war dafür wunderschön hergerichtet – mit rotem Teppich, stilvoll dekorierten Stehtischen und Stühlen entstand eine traumhafte Atmosphäre für diesen besonderen Moment. Auch der anschließende Sektempfang wurde im Freien ausgerichtet und war perfekt organisiert. Am Abend wurden die Vorspeisen im angenehm klimatisierten Speisesaal serviert, bevor das Buffet inklusive Live-Cooking im Außenbereich eröffnet wurde. Kulinarisch war der gesamte Tag ein absolutes Highlight: Von der Vorspeise über die Hauptgänge bis hin zum Dessert war jedes Gericht hervorragend zubereitet und geschmacklich einfach grandios. Besonders der herzhafte Mitternachtssnack mit Käse- und Wurstspezialitäten war ein Volltreffer und kam bei unseren Gästen hervorragend an. Ein ganz besonderes Lob gilt dem Service-Team. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren mit viel Herzblut bei der Sache, jederzeit aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Auf ein kühles Getränk musste niemand lange warten, und wir sowie unsere Gäste fühlten uns rundum bestens betreut. Die anschließende Feier im Wintergarten war der perfekte Ausklang eines unvergesslichen Tages. Da wir im Hotel übernachtet haben, konnten wir am nächsten Morgen gemeinsam mit einigen Gästen in aller Ruhe frühstücken und die wunderschönen Erinnerungen noch einmal Revue passieren lassen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team für die hervorragende Organisation, den erstklassigen Service und die vielen kleinen Details, die unseren Hochzeitstag zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht haben. Wir werden diesen Tag niemals vergessen und können diese Location uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank für alles! ❤️🥂💍✨

Uns wurde die Location sehr empfohlen, aber nach den Vorschusslorbeeren waren wir enttäuscht. Der Service war längst nicht so aufmerksam, wie es den Anschein erweckte und gipfelte darin, dass meiner sehr alten Begleitung beim Verlassen des Lokas nicht in den Mantel geholfen wurde, obwohl ein junger Mann aus der Führungsrige direkt an ihr vorbei ging.

Großartiges Essen, stylisches Ambiente und sehr angenehmer Service . Immer wieder sehr gerne trotz gewisser Anreise.

Da ist aber auch alles total stimmig. Wir haben heute mit 5 Personen das Menükarussell genossen. Wir waren alle total begeistert. Super Preis/Leistung. Best of Gevelsberg. Da kommen wir gerne wieder.

Besser geht's nicht! Clarissa hat uns (3 Paare) exzellent mit viel Humor und Aufmerksamkeit durch den Abend begleitet. Das Essen war vorzüglich und sterneverdächtig😊 Auch das Ambiente war wunderbar und wir haben den Abend in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Beste was wir seit langem erlebt haben!

Das Personal (Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag 🥳) zeigte natürliche Professionalität, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hätte aber noch häufiger nach Getränken fragen können. War vielleicht auch viel los. Das Essen war hochwertig, schön angerichtet und sehr lecker. Für unser Familientreffen hatten wir einen tollen großen Tisch, wo Jeder Jeden sehen konnte. Leider konnten Einige wegen Krankheit spontan nicht teilnehmen. Auch das war für das Personal kein Problem. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Abend. Das Restaurant ist definitiv zu empfehlen, wenn man auf hochwertiges Essen Wert legt.

We celebrated our wedding at Hoch10, and I have to say that everything was absolutely perfect for us. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. Discussing the menu, setup, decorations, and everything else involved was also very pleasant. When planning your own wedding, you have high expectations and a few uncertainties here and there – after all, you've never done it before. Our expectations were completely met, and our uncertainties were taken seriously and addressed with ideas and experience. The evening was perfect, and that wouldn't have been possible without you. We were at Hoch 10 last night. My wife celebrated her 77th birthday. What can I say, it was wonderful! The food was fantastic, with only the goose jus being slightly lacking! The entire goose menu was worth every penny, excellent value for money. The two waitresses were very attentive and cheerful… simply superb! They even packed up my wife's dessert to take home without any fuss! We would like to sincerely thank the entire Hoch 10 team for the lovely evening! We will definitely be back!

Appetizers were great! Service was great! Location was great! Unfortunately, the main courses were completely disappointing. If you decide to prepare steaks sous vide, you should mention it on the menu (for a more refined, cooked-meat texture). As it is, you don't get a true steak experience. The jus and red cabbage were also underwhelming.

I haven't eaten this well in a long time. Everything was perfect at first, but after the meal I would have liked a glass of wine, which was somehow ignored.

This oasis is a real surprise. A wonderful atmosphere, super friendly service, and dishes that are truly surprising... A hidden gem!

We came on a recommendation and will have to thank the person for the tip! Making a reservation in advance is more than helpful, even during the week. A very nice restaurant! Very clear menu – meaning everything is made in-house in the kitchen. And you can taste it! The appetizer, main course, and dessert left nothing to be desired! The quality of the products and the artistry of the chef are reflected in the dishes. Added to that, the service was humorous and very attentive! Yes, the prices are reasonable... but for that special occasion, it's one of the best addresses in Gevelsberg.

As a guest at the "Alte Redaktion" hotel, it was only natural that I would try the HochZehn restaurant "Little Kitchen." It was amazing! Every course was an explosion of flavors. A solid 10 from me. Keep up the good work. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined. The same applies to the service. It used to be appropriate for the restaurant. Now, in some parts, it's very rude and inattentive.

We've been to "Hoch 10" in Gevelsberg so many times, and every time it's been a delight! The service is always attentive, very friendly, and accommodating – you simply feel welcome. The food is not only delicious, with great, unusual ideas and the highest quality, but also beautifully presented. This makes the meal a true experience. The numerous specials from the kitchen are always something special and rarely found in this quality and quantity in any other restaurant. The menu offers something for every taste, and children are also welcome. Special requests are always accommodated without any problems. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, with lovingly thought-out decor and a great deal of taste – simply harmonious and cozy all around. We always enjoy coming back and can highly recommend "Hoch 10"!

Hello there, We celebrated our wedding there last Friday in a small circle and were completely satisfied. From the first conversation, to the menu selection, to dinner, it was super uncomplicated and the communication was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and any special requests or intolerances were perfectly catered for. The staff was super friendly that evening, there were no empty glasses and we really liked the decoration. All in all, it was a great success - we would celebrate there again every time!

Service, food and ambience are simply top class. I could write a lot but you just have to try it.

My daughter's wedding. The ambience was super nice, the room was beautifully designed. The service was great, the glass was always filled. The spacing of the menu was well coordinated and the food tasted excellent. Vegetarians and pregnant women were also well catered for. Always happy.

We stayed at the “Alte Editorial” hotel for a weekend and went out for a 3-course meal in the “Hochzwei” restaurant in the evening. It was incredibly good. From the starter to the intermediate courses to the dessert, we have rarely eaten something so good and tasty. The portions were large and we were stuffed. The ambience was very pleasant, but I personally would have liked a little more light. But that is my personal feeling. The service was attentive, very friendly and on the ball. If we're in the area again, we'll come back.

Anyone who believes that's all will experience a performance of distant professionalism in unity with an honest, relaxed politeness and unobtrusive presence that actually deserves 6 stars. Of course, the kitchen doesn't want to be left behind. Creativity, skill and obvious enjoyment of high quality are revealed at an extremely high level without seeming exaggerated. vorgestern zum hochzeitstag im 'hochzehn' - spontan reserviert, platz gefunden. ambiente sehr ansprechend - wintergarten-flair. aufmerksamer service, leicht hemdsärmelig, mag ich. speisen gelungen, gehobenes küchenniveau, aber nicht überzogen. preise passend. für gevelsberg schon sehr besonders ! vorsicht: parken ist 'ne herausforderung, die hochstrasse ist eine steile, schmale seitenstrasse und der hausparkplatz meist voll.

Professionalism is very important here - paired with warmth and a personal touch. The friendly greeting makes you feel welcome. The waitress loves her job and even if the guest doesn't understand every recipe themselves, they are guided in a friendly manner through the fine and selected food creation. The greetings from the kitchen are creatively put together and adapted to the season. The Thai curry is impressive... visually and taste-wise. In addition, decoration, flair and friendliness create an atmosphere that makes HochZehn a “favorite kitchen”. My boyfriend was already excited before I was, and I have been too since Saturday evening! Thank you for a wonderful evening with you.

Last weekend we celebrated our wedding at the HochZehn restaurant in Gevelsberg and it was simply fantastic! The evening began with a champagne reception and delicious finger food. The menu, consisting of served dishes and a buffet, was excellent and left nothing to be desired. The party took place in the beautiful winter garden, where our DJ created a great atmosphere. Thanks to the radiant heaters, we were also able to use the covered outdoor area without any problems, which created a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was perfectly organized and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better location for our wedding. I worked as a trained chef in various kitchens for 40 years. But tonight at Hochzwei was an absolute highlight for me as a guest. I've never eaten as well as I did tonight. I had the Ochsenbäckle (braised for 72 hours). I could go on praising you for hours. But that would go beyond the scope. So keep it up and stay as you are. With friendly regards... Hartmut Pulsfort

Where should you start? The ambience is simply an eye-catcher. Someone here has taste, and that can only bode well for a restaurant. Let's get to the nice greetings from the kitchen. Simply delicious and prepared with skill and love. The main course topped everything again. The pork is not only on point but also simply in a different league in terms of taste. Service? Quite simply people who like and can do their job. The prices are commensurate with the quality but the taste is priceless

Schönes Ambiente. Es war abends noch schön warm und wir saßen draußen. Sehr guter Service. Großartige Gerichte, eins der besten Filets die ich je gegessen habe. Recht kleine Weinkarte, allerdings mit einigen sehr hochwertigen Weinen. Wir tranken einen super köstlichen Wein aus Südafrika, Rubicon von Meerlust.

Top Speisen mit einem super Service. Alleine dieses gut geführte Restaurant würde mich wieder dazu bewegen noch einmal einen Stopp in Gevelsberg zu machen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Schöne geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Leider fällt das angrenzende Hotel dazu doch stark ab.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team once again. We were there for my wife's birthday dinner and wanted to enjoy the cuisine. I became aware of the restaurant through a recommendation. About the location/ambience: The day was very warm and we decided to sit outside. The hotel/restaurant is in a backyard. There are enough parking spaces and you can find a spot. The restaurant is located right next to the city center in Gevelsberg (Mittelstr.). But it is so beautifully located that you don't hear any noise or noise. It's just very idyllic. The restaurant rooms inside are beautifully decorated and very pleasantly decorated. Really perfect location for us and therefore 5 stars. About the service: Everyone is always attentive and tries to fulfill all of the guests' wishes. Everyone is very nice and a short talk is always possible and very pleasant. There is also advice on wines and other drinks, which I found very positive. Due to the birthday, special requests were even fulfilled and taken into account. So really great and I can only give it 5 stars plus. Keep it up... To eat: The cuisine in the house is really good. Of course the dishes aren't cheap, but that's not what it's supposed to be. We focus on the quality, idea, unusualness and taste of the dishes. And the restaurant really can't hide from that. An example: The ox cheeks are so tender and have literally fallen apart. Really great and brilliant. The greetings from the kitchen were also very unusual and very good! Please keep it! We were completely satisfied and well fed. Conclusion: The restaurant has become one of our favorites. And we'll definitely be back. You lose track of time and the whole team treats you as if you are someone special and you forget all your worries for a while. Hier stimmt alles: der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Karte weist eine sehr interessante und auch teilweise ausgefallene Auswahl auf. Die Weinkarte passt sich hier an. Sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptgerichte waren mit Liebe und Sorgfalt angerichtet und schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Neben Brot mit Aufstrich gab es zwischendurch noch zwei Grüße aus der Küche. Nicht günstig, aber jeder Cent wert.

If you want something a little more unusual, you're in good hands here. First of all: everything was very good and if one or two critical comments are made, it is complaining on a very high level. The staff is extremely polite. It was therefore surprising and incomprehensible to me that my wife's request for a decaffeinated coffee was rejected with the words: it doesn't taste good. There is also a bit of a show when the wine is decanted, a house of such quality but doesn't need a show, it seems rather embarrassing. It's enormous how many little greetings are given from the kitchen. These are a very nice small size and are all very tasty. The starter and main course were cleverly prepared. The bread that was served with the starter was also very tasty. I had French fries with truffles with the steak, which was the highlight for me in terms of taste. As I said, the food is very good, but for the price you can do it differently. Small side note: The gentleman who served us very friendly always knew how to offer a more expensive version of the food we ordered in a charming way. All in all, too expensive for my expectations and too far away from where I live for me to make the journey again.

We can't help it: Hochzwei deserves full points everywhere! The ambience is really nice. From the furnishings to the light: perfectly thought out. You definitely feel like spending a few hours here. The staff is wonderfully accommodating and friendly. We were particularly impressed by Mr. Lehmann. You're in a good mood and sensitive. You can clearly tell that the waiters enjoy their work. The food is high quality. We have eaten here three times so far and it has always been pure enjoyment. From the starters, to the delicious and varied “greetings from the kitchen” and the main courses to the desserts and drinks. All a 5/5! Here, too, you can feel how much fun the chef is having and how much he knows his craft. Hochzwei has truly become our absolute favorite cuisine!

The visit to HochZehn is an absolute highlight, but Alex Pfeiler once again more than outdid himself with yesterday's Valentine's Day menu. A great menu paired with great service and a wonderful ambience made the evening a pleasure from the start. We always like to come to experience a special evening and just enjoy it!

Yesterday we were at Hochzwei for the first time and we were thrilled! The food, from starters to the main course to dessert, was very tasty and fine. Before and between courses there were small gifts that were given with a lot of love. The ambience is very nice and there is a nice atmosphere. The staff is very attentive, warm and responds to each guest individually, making you feel very welcome and in perfect hands. We had a very nice evening and would love to come back!

Wir waren im HochZehn zum Candle Light Dinner. Es war ein tolles Event. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienungen. Wir hatten an dem Abend eine Auszubildende im dritten Ausbildungsjahr die uns mit viel Fachwissen über die gereichten Speisen begeisterte. Alle Gänge waren hervorragend angerichtet und haben mega geschmeckt. Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal vorbei um das Ambiente zu genießen.

Beim Arrangement gab es was zu essen dabei. 'Das nehmen wir eben noch mit', dachten wir uns. Am Ende war es das Highlight des ganzen Wochenendes. Hier wird wirklich außergewöhnlich lecker gekocht. Alle Gänge sind selbst hergestellt und sind fein aufeinander abgestimmt. Wenn es nur ein Hauptgericht sein soll: Versuche den Rinderspieß mit Erdnuss-Soße. Ach was, versuche einfach alles. Wähle dazu einen Wein aus der großen Weinkarte, oder lass dir etwas empfehlen. Das sympathische und perfekt geschulte Personal findet eine passende Lösung. Selbst die wirklich eigenwillige und etwas anstrengende Familie am Nebentisch zeigte sich am Ende glücklich und zufrieden, weil das gesamte Personal mit Engelsgeduld und Fremdsprachenkenntnissen vermittelt hat. Ja, es stimmt: das Ganze hat seinen Preis, aber bei dem Gesamtkunstwerk aus modernem Chic, pfiffiger Küche und Industrie-Ambiente, das du hier erleben darfst, ist er nicht abschreckend, sondern mehr als angemessen.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Hochzehn gefeiert und es war absolut perfekt! Vom Ambiente, über die Getränke, bis hin zum Essen wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der absolut fantastische und einzigartige Service im Hochzehn. So einen Service haben wir noch nie erlebt! Die Servicekräfte waren zu jeden Zeitpunkt - auch Nachts um 3 Uhr ;-) - ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, haben uns stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden und den Abend für uns rundum perfekt gemacht. Das Essen und die Getränke waren ebenfalls erstklassig! Auch die Organisation und Planung im Vorfeld verlief problemlos und unkompliziert. Wir wurden toll beraten und haben einige hilfreiche Tipps und Vorschläge mitnehmen können. Unsere Gäste und wir als Brautpaar hatten einen unvergesslichen und perfekten Abend und sind dem gesamten Team des Hochzehns dafür sehr dankbar! Es hätte einfach nicht besser sein können.

Ein kulinarisches Kleinod im Ruhrgebiet

Eine Party soll ja immer gelingen - hier wurde einfach alles übertroffen !! Fantastisches Essen in unglaublich schönem Ambiente im Wintergarten und Außenbereich! Das Personal ist super freundlich, aufmerksam und immer am richtigen Fleck. Die Speisen und Getränke waren allesamt unglaublich lecker, man kommt aus dem Schwärmen nicht heraus. Herrlich, dass es ein solch tolles Restaurant im nahen Umkreis gibt, Wer was ganz Besonderes sucht - hier findet er es! Einen herzlichen Dank an alle Beteiligten, die dieses Fest mit gestaltet haben!

Kulinarik at its best! Wir kommen regelmäßig ins Hoch10 und sind in den letzten 1,5 Jahren immer wieder toll verköstigt worden. Das Essen ist lecker und hat oft eine besondere Note, das Service Team ist aufmerksam und hochprofessionell. Wir sitzen gerne draußen an der schönen großen Tafel. Ganz klare Empfehlung - auch weit über die Stadtgrenzen Gevelsbergs hinaus. Echt Toll!

Waren heute das erste Mal dort. Sehr gute Küche und v.a. die ältere Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wow, wow, wow #sprachlos! Im besten Sinne… apropos Sinne ;) Wir (m48&w39) waren mal wieder auf der Durchreise und entdeckten dabei dieses Schmuckstück an Restaurant. Ich weiß gar nicht so recht wo ich anfangen soll, aber diese Lieblingsküche hat alle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ mehr als verdient! Hier werden alle Sinne verwöhnt, alles ist wunderschön ein-/hergerichtet, stilvoll & klar, die Sanitäranlagen sind top, alles ist sauber, ein kulinarisches Highlight jagt das nächste und wie das alles duftet. Die Vision des Gastgebers spiegelt sich in allem wieder. Und dann dieser Service, der nach seines gleichen sucht! Wir wurden rundum hervorragend umsorgt. Man gab mir/uns das Gefühl etwas ganz besonderes zu sein, was ich selten in einer gastronomischen Einrichtung erlebt habe und obwohl wir am anderen Ende von Deutschland leben, werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Beim nächsten Mal werden wir dann auch die Menu Empfehlung probieren ;) P.S. Auch ich als Vegetarierin bin voll und ganz auf meine Kosten gekommen, danke 🙏🏻 und das alles gab es auch noch zu verdammt guten Preisen. Allerdings bezahlt man hier gerne freiwillig auch mehr! DANKE für diese Entführung in eine andere Welt… ganz großes Vorbild! Ich nenne es gerne Gastronomie der neuen Zeit, Essen von sehr guter Qualität, gepaart mit einem erstklassigem Service, (un)bezahlbar! 🙌🏻 (Hund waren auch erlaubt 💛)

Wir sind heute mit der Familie im HochZehn essen gewesen und mehr als zufrieden gewesen! Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service und wirklich sehr gutes Essen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bedanken uns für die gute Arbeit des HochZehn Teams.
