Wilma Wunder in Karlsruhe

A well-deserved five stars! We had a wonderful stay. The staff is very attentive, and the ambiance is perfect. Sustainability and freshness are a priority here. The dishes are excellently prepared and delicious. The drinks menu offers some exceptional options. The selection stands out from the competition. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than average. But considering the overall package, the extra cost was well spent. We'd be happy to come back.

friendly service, beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was also great

On Saturday evening, we went to dinner with our company at the Wilma Wunder restaurant in the beautiful courtyard. The restaurant offers excellent value for money, with large portions for fair prices and fair production conditions. We only found the price of soft drinks a bit too high at €4.90. Our friendly waitress, Lara, rounded off the evening perfectly.

A very nice restaurant centrally located on Karlsruhe's market square. Friendly staff and excellent service. Especially in summer, the courtyard is quiet and pleasant to sit in thanks to the shady location. I highly recommend the house lemonades, as they are delicious. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

Wilma's Wunder is truly a small miracle. I'm always on the lookout for new restaurants and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a vegetarian myself and also lactose intolerant, and I found what I was looking for. I prefer smaller menus and restaurants that don't overly offer a wide variety. The food was truly delicious. The prices are on the higher side, though. Still, I'll be keen to stop by again every now and then ☺️

A very nice restaurant, outdoor seating, and attentive, friendly service. I didn't think the food was that good. Cream sauces need cream, but this one was far from it. The Pina Colada tasted good. However, filling a glass to the brim with crushed ice and filling the gaps with cocktails was beyond words for the price. It was still a great evening in a lovely atmosphere.

It's always a pleasure to come here. The ambiance is fantastic. The service was excellent at the beginning of our visit, but as it got busier, it slowed down, and we sat for a while with empty glasses. The menu has something for everyone, and everything is delicious. We'll definitely be back.

I had lunch. The food was delicious, and the service was very quick and attentive. I had a great seat overlooking the market square. There's also an inner courtyard. Everything was very cozy. The price was great, too! I'd go back anytime I'm in Karlsruhe.

For me, it's a must on every visit to Karlsruhe. Great atmosphere, whether at the front on the bustling market square or a more quiet spot in the courtyard or inside. A beautifully designed restaurant, attentive and hard-working service, and the kitchen knows what it's doing!

Yesterday, I had dinner with my family. Two of us are gluten intolerant. Our friendly server, Lara, was able to advise us excellently, and we didn't feel unwelcome or inconvenient, as is the case in many restaurants with allergies. The prices are a bit higher, but the service, ambiance, and quality make up for it.

The breakfast tasted okay, but was completely overpriced. At the bakery, I eat much better as a couple, and more as a couple, than I would eat alone there.

I drank soda and ate fries. There was nothing to complain about. It's a nice place to sit and chat. The service is friendly and comes when you call. 🙃 Thanks.

We went to Wilma's for breakfast, and even though it was full, we were fine without a reservation. Our waitress, Lara, was super attentive and on the ball. The food was incredibly delicious, and we generally felt very comfortable.

We met for breakfast on Sunday morning and received very warm welcome from our waitress, Lara. The breakfast was absolutely delicious; we had the pancakes and the "durchstarter" (sweet starter). We'll be back!

A very nice restaurant and bar. Friendly service with pleasant waitresses. The food is highly recommended. It tastes good, and you can tell the chef knows his or her craft. We were in Karlsruhe for two days and only ate here because it was delicious. Prices are absolutely reasonable. If you're in Karlsruhe, eat here. By the way, they also serve good cakes.

I'm sitting outside on the terrace and actually want to order lunch 4 (breaded fish with potato salad). The server confidently ignores me and continues to set up various menus for all the unoccupied tables. Oh well. Bye.

This was our first time here and we enjoyed lunch. It was really very good. It was odd that the salad was served after the main course. 🤔We also found the drink prices to be far too high. We would have liked to have a glass of wine with it, but at €7.90 or even €8.90 for a 0.2 l, we decided against it. It's a shame.

Everything's just right here, even if the access is still under construction: it has a feel-good atmosphere! Modern, appealing design, attentive service, a good, affordable lunch menu with a selection Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. with the option of salad and a drink. A very good concept. Unfortunately, the restroom has stairs, making it unsuitable for people with disabilities.

Lunch: Fitness noodles: If we could, we'd give all three 0 stars. All three plates had different toppings—ranging from lots of to barely any vegetable chips. The noodles and sauce tasted somewhere between salty and sour. None of us could eat it all. Soda? Way too sweet. Service was okay, but we didn't really want to know what we didn't like. It's probably not our fault that the food was a "never again" for us. A shame.

Price/performance ratio is terrible, sorry if you have to have breakfast again after breakfast, that's a no-go.

Not great value for money, very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. But nice conditions.

See also Tripadvisor (Google Maps is sometimes very annoying with its own photos). A very cozy and trendy place with a varied menu. Especially through the gate, an oasis of peace and quiet awaits you in the city. Our server, Flo, was wonderful. It was a pleasure to meet someone who truly cares about their job. Delicious food and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it. 5/5

We were in Karlsruhe for our wedding anniversary and had a meal with you, which we really enjoyed. The kitchen's modern interpretation of traditional cuisine was incredibly successful. The homemade lemonade was also outstanding. 😊

We've been to Wilma's for breakfast several times; it's always delicious, with great bread. Today we went for lunch; the dish was good; it would have been truly first-class if it had arrived warm or even hot. Another thing that's quite poorly organized, or rather, very inconvenient, is the drink. If you order it too early, it doesn't count as part of the meal, so that should be changed.

Asparagus tarte flambée with wild garlic pesto, radishes, and honey-dried ham was the best tarte flambée I've ever eaten, and the regular asparagus portion was also excellent, as well as other delicious dishes. My partner and I are very satisfied and can recommend it. The service is also very competent and friendly.

We had a wonderful trip to Karlsruhe with our group of bowling ladies. The highlight, however, was our lunch at Wilma Wunder. The cheese spaetzle was almost like something from Swabia. Our friendly waiter, Robin, was also very attentive and never let us run out of drinks. We'd love to come back.

A beautiful, modern restaurant right in the middle of the market square, opposite the town hall. We only stopped in for a drink and a delicious dessert. The service was very friendly. We'll be back.

Expensive for the quantity. It's a restaurant where the looks of the food is more important than the quantity, or uniformity of the dish. I believe this to be a good place for women and a really bad choice for men. (With exceptions.) Service was friendly, and the place was beautiful but very loud. Subjective 3.0 stars. Just not my cup of tea

We went to Wilma Wunder in Karlsruhe for dinner with a larger group for the second time in two years. Conclusion: A+! The staff is incredibly friendly and competent, any changes to our order were implemented, and the food was delicious. The ambiance is so beautiful, you immediately feel at home. We haven't had such a wonderful all-round experience anywhere else as we did at Wilma Wunder. Keep it up, see you next year :-)

The atmosphere is nice there, but unfortunately, the selection of vegetarian dishes is somewhat limited. The salad has always been rather bitter and not well dressed. It seems like a bag of mixed salad from the supermarket. This time, many of the leaves were already brown and mushy.

The food is meh. My salmon tartar was supermarket smoked salmon cuts on cream cheese and my asparagus soup was super sweet. Service seemed bored.

It's ok for a quick sati spritz in between, but there are better locations in KA and the surrounding area.

Went for a few drinks at Wilma Wunder with friends - we didn't eat anything, but the food at the next table looked good. Delicious Hoepfner beer and, as a highlight, a spritz stand with six drinks, snacks and a sparkler on top

We had caper meatballs which had no taste and a beef roulade with strange spatzele and red cabbage, not great, all for a substantial price, which was disappointing.

Very nice restaurant where you can eat something at any time of the day. I would have the smoothie bowl, which is highly recommended, but only satisfies a small hunger. The main courses are all very filling and deliciously prepared. The atmosphere is modern and sociable. Will go again.

Today we were here as a family and were not disappointed. The service is pleasantly unobtrusive and professional, not intrusive. The food was delicious, the price was reasonable. Gladly again 👍 We were there for my birthday. Great service, very friendly, good, partly hearty menu, acceptable prices. The food came without a long wait and we enjoyed it very much. A welcome change from the boring pizza and burger monotony in Karlsruhe.

The staff at the store are very pleasant and attentive. In particular, the male waiters notice the people sitting at the tables and serve them casually and proactively, which makes the atmosphere of the restaurant even better. For the meal, I ate something that looked like a thin Japanese pork cutlet, but historically this may be the original. The taste is different from tonkatsu. I think this is fine. It's about a 3 minute walk from the landmark Pyramid in Karlsru. I don't think people who come for sightseeing or business will regret choosing to eat here during their stay.

The shift manager kicked me out of the restaurant and said he would call the police if I didn't leave. His name is Gerrit, but he never explained why he kicked me out.

I can't understand the bad reviews because "food is too expensive, poor quality, etc." We had breakfast here and will come back. The little details in the menu are very warm and you can tell that guests are welcome here. Starting from the fact that babies get free porridge or that milk changes to a drink (vegetable milk or lactose-free milk) do not cost any extra charge, can no longer be found in any restaurant today. We really enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was fresh and delicious! I'm happy to pay the price for that - especially since it's not that much higher than in other breakfast locations 😉

The atmosphere is really nice. There were 7 of us and it was a problem to put tables together at first. Only when two ladies were kind enough to change the table was this possible (service statement: you won't be able to get through here otherwise). Chai and matcha was ok but expensive and more in one glass than the other. The cappuccino with oat milk was bitter and inedible. A friend ordered an iced coffee (with ice cubes) and oat milk and received an iced coffee with vanilla ice cream and soy milk. When asked: “That’s exactly what you ordered, there’s nothing we can do.” We also asked whether the umbrella could be opened (22 degrees and direct sun) and received the answer “no, not today”. Too bad...

Exceptional menu, very tasty tarte flambée. When the weather is nice you can enjoy the sun on the market square. The service is super nice and always looks after everything.

Totally delicious and creative food. The house limos are great! Really nice service. If it gets too cold outside, you get blankets. The inner courtyard is recommended, as the ambience directly on the market square is not that nice.

Super nice outdoor area, especially the terrace facing the market square is ideal for a cool refreshment! Lots of seating in the sun, Aperol Spritz very tasty! The Ziegenpeter tarte flambée was particularly tasty. Service is top notch here! Definitely recommended in Karlsruhe

I was totally thrilled with Wilma Wunder in Karlsruhe! The staff was super warm and attentive - you immediately felt at home. The menu offers a lot of delicious vegan and vegetarian options, not just run of the mill, but really creative and special. I was particularly impressed by the vegan schnitzel – really well made and super tasty! The ambience is also really nice, both inside and outside - perfect for relaxing or having something to eat with friends. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. I'd love to come by again!

More show than substance, the ambiance was okay but zero customer service 👎🏻...we spontaneously visited the restaurant on Saturday evening. First, we stood at the reception for ages. The waitress rearranged tables, saw us three times, and maintained eye contact. That's not customer service. Is it more important to rearrange tables or to welcome guests? After rearranging the tables, she came over and told us there were no more tables available.

The fries with homemade truffle mayo are divine! ❤️ The local beer is fantastic! The grapefruit-mango lemonade is fantastic! The waitresses here are called "guest magicians"! The value for money is top-notch! A really cool concept! I highly recommend it!

For the first and definitely not the last time we were at Wilma Wunder last week. Whether vegetarian or with meat, there is something for everyone. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. Plus nice service and a nice ambience. The outdoor area doesn't suggest that you are directly on the market square as it resembles an oasis of calm. The homemade lemonade is also highly recommended.
