A somewhat hidden restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The parking garage is very close, so no stress. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is refreshingly concise, and the food is delicious! Karlsruhe's main shopping street is just a few meters away; a stroll afterward is well worth it!

Beautiful courtyard, great ambiance, and a super friendly team. Valentin's sparkling wine bar is highly recommended, where you can mix your favorite spritzes :) The tarte flambée and schnitzel are also delicious!

The breakfast prices are as outrageous as the staff. You won't find anything under €14 here – and that's without a hot drink. Despite this, the place is always packed. Wilma Wunder is hyped, and the younger generation in particular is totally on board. Similar to Starbucks, it's all about being seen and showing off that you can afford it. I'd give it a solid 5 for value for money, but the success seems to justify the concept – albeit unjustifiably.

First off: The mango-ginger soup, currently on the daily menu, is a real taste sensation! The sweetness of the mango combined with the roasted ginger is truly invigorating! Our research group always enjoys going to Wilma Wunder and the food is excellent. Students also find something to their liking, such as the fries or tarte flambée. I highly recommend it.

The food was okay. Something was wrong with it, but since we were there with our child, we kept it. They offered to make it again. It was very busy, so everything took a bit longer. We asked about the toy box/art supplies that were supposed to be available. They weren't there, though; that was probably incorrect information some friends had given me.

Wilma Wunder is always our go-to coffee or lunch spot when we're shopping in Speyer 😄👌 Everything we've eaten there so far has been very good. The service is also super friendly and attentive... The homemade lemonades were delicious too. Unfortunately, the salad in the picture is only available seasonally 😢 but it's soooooo good 😃👍🤩 Dogs are immediately given water. A little photo dump highlight is always the trip to the restroom 😃....

The restaurant is located in a small alley accessed through the gate on the square (the restaurant sign is clearly visible). It is spacious and well-lit, thanks in part to the large window on the side. The interior is charming and modern. Extremely clean and well-kept. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the staff who directs you to your table. The tables are comfortable. The staff is friendly, always available, and quite efficient in processing orders and payments. The menu is very varied, with dishes and drinks not easily found in traditional cafes: perfect for those seeking isolation and new things to try and try. A wide variety of breakfasts and a wide selection of drinks. If you're staying in the city, it's definitely a place to have a nice breakfast or a bite to eat and drink, while spending some pleasant time alone or with friends.

I always go to Wilma Wunder when I'm in Karlsruhe. The food is delicious and the selection is extensive, especially for vegetarians and vegans. They also have a wide variety of drinks and homemade lemonades.

We had reserved a table for six people at Wilma Wunder in Karlsruhe today to celebrate my birthday in a pleasant atmosphere – unfortunately, the evening fell far short of our expectations. Despite our reservation, we had to wait over an hour for our food. It was particularly disappointing that the appetizers were served at the same time as the main courses, which disrupted the flow of the meal. Furthermore, some dishes arrived incomplete and, unfortunately, cold. However, what we found most regrettable was the service. Our polite inquiries were met with, in our opinion, an unfriendly and unprofessional response; at times, this even led to arguments, which made the situation even more unpleasant. Especially since it was a special occasion, we would have appreciated better organization, more attentive service, and greater respect for the guests. Overall, the visit left a negative impression, and we cannot recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

Unfortunately, we had a table near a birthday party, so we couldn't have a conversation to get to know each other as planned and had to flee immediately after eating.

I had the vegan schnitzel. It was on special offer and only cost €9.90. The portion was generous and everything was delicious. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

On Sunday, when the restaurant was packed and very busy, we received fast and incredibly friendly service. The food was excellent, and the cappuccino was simply divine! We will definitely be back.

We were there on an early Saturday evening. The restaurant was already quite busy. The ambiance is really very appealing and the service quite friendly. However, things went wrong with our order of appetizer and main course. Unfortunately, the server wasn't able to admit this or communicate it honestly. Only when we brought it up did she admit she'd forgotten, and we then waited almost an hour for our main course – unacceptable. Therefore, 3 stars for service. The food was beautifully presented, with attention to detail, and delicious. We'll definitely come back again...

The food was awful. The scrambled eggs weren't real eggs, but powdered egg. It said they came from free-range chickens, but they weren't homemade. The "homemade" sauce wasn't homemade at all, just bottled Sriracha. The avocado was old and completely brown. The cutlery arrived dirty. The hollandaise sauce was a ready-made Knorr brand; you could taste and see it everywhere. The tomatoes had been refrigerated and had lost all their flavor. The salad was completely undressed and tasteless. For all that, the food was ridiculously overpriced. It's just not worth it. My sister even had her birthday, and no one even offered a congratulations or anything. The waiter was also unfriendly. He didn't even ask if everything was alright. Unfortunately, zero stars isn't an option.

The service was incredibly friendly, but the quality of the food was completely disproportionate to the price. The tarte flambée was dry and made with pre-made dough, the truffle fries were also rather disappointing, the juice spritzer was far too thin, and the draft beer was one euro more expensive than usual in Karlsruhe.

This restaurant is by far the best I've ever been to. The ambiance is very pleasant, stylishly furnished, and inviting. The food was outstanding – freshly prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit that I can highly recommend.

Last Friday, I visited a friend in Karlsruhe, and we chose Wilma Wunder, as I'm already familiar with it from Cologne. Positive points: - Extremely pleasant atmosphere; you feel completely comfortable thanks to the bright, open space at the front of the restaurant. - The drinks and food were delicious. - Very friendly staff. Negative points: - After our visit, we both smelled strongly of a deep fryer, and our jackets were ruined. - While the staff was very friendly, at one point a female waitress was very loudly berated by a male waiter, which was unpleasant to witness as a guest. Nevertheless, we would return in the summer or once the smell issue has been resolved.

The cappuccino, hot chocolate, and cake were delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable. However, on January 1st around 3:00 PM, it was packed, and we had to wait a while before we could order and then eat what we had ordered. When we reordered around 4:00 PM, everything went much faster.

The drinks arrived relatively quickly, but we had to wait quite a while for the food (almost 45 minutes). The coffee was already cold before the food arrived. However, it was very tasty and beautifully presented.

This was our first time here. It was quite crowded and consequently very loud. Our order was taken quickly, and the drinks arrived promptly. However, we waited 45 minutes for our appetizer (bread with cold dip), and it only arrived after we inquired about it. The main courses arrived approximately 60 minutes after we ordered them. My dish (Beef Stroganoff) had so little meat in the sauce that it wasn't worth the price. My husband ordered fries as a side dish with his Smashed Croissant Burger, but they never arrived. When we asked about them, a portion was brought, but it wasn't charged as a side dish; instead, it was treated as a full meal. We weren't given a bill, only the final amount. Because of the discrepancy with the side dish, they only offered an explanation and didn't provide a separate bill. The food tasted okay, though not outstanding, but considering the whole experience, we can't recommend it and won't be returning.

Based on the pictures, we thought this place might be cozy. Unfortunately, we were disappointed: it was loud, but we were willing to overlook that. It took 45 minutes and a request to get the bread we had ordered as a €10 appetizer to arrive. It was supposed to be a quick snack. The Beef Stroganoff from the winter menu was priced at €25. We estimate there weren't even 100 grams of meat or sauce on the plate. The tarte flambée was pre-made, just like the fries. The smashed croissant tasted okay, but the execution was also convenience-oriented and disappointing. The side dish was misunderstood, first completely forgotten, and then charged in full. All in all, extremely sobering and disappointing. You're paying for the pretty setting.

Our visit was anything but wonderful. We ordered the tarte flambée from the lunch menu twice. The "diced beets" were completely missing, the "caramelized sweet potatoes" weren't caramelized, and the "spiced sour cream" was barely seasoned, if at all. When we pointed this out to the server, we received an espresso as compensation—for two incomplete main courses. A price reduction would have been far more appropriate.

Unfortunately, the staff has become very rude; it's no longer enjoyable to go there.

Terrible service; I had to endure being insulted by a self-proclaimed manager. Promoting high values ​​on the website and talking about respect, but insulting guests as "cunts" certainly doesn't speak well of a qualified manager; on the contrary, it damages the company's image. Hopefully, further action will be taken against the short, dark-haired colleague who worked on Thursday evening, December 18th. This young man has no place in the service industry or in dealing with people.

I was here for lunch with a friend. We ordered the "Good Morning Toast." When it arrived and I took my first bite, I noticed that the sauce was spicy. I asked the server if the toast could be replaced or served without sauce. However, I was told that wasn't possible. I then checked the menu again, but it didn't indicate that the sauce was spicy. The comment that the food would have to be thrown away was completely unacceptable—especially since we still had to pay for the meal, or rather, we only received a 20% discount plus a hot drink. We weren't offered any alternative dishes. This was my second visit here. The first time, we were there for dinner, and there was a hair in my pasta under the tomato sauce. It couldn't have been from me. The plate was replaced then, which was fine with me. However, I have no understanding for the second visit, and especially not for the staff's reaction. I was told that I should ask if I had an allergy, for example. However, if the menu had mentioned that the sauce was spicy, it would have been my fault—but that wasn't the case.

We attended a company party at Wilma Wunder with a very large group. Everything went perfectly! Communication beforehand was incredibly easy, accommodating, and quick. We ordered à la carte, which wasn't a problem despite the size of our group. All the dishes arrived promptly, almost simultaneously, and tasted fantastic. The service was top-notch! Many thanks to the wonderful colleague who served us all last night! The ambiance, the location, and especially the outdoor area (even in winter when it's raining! Large umbrellas, standing tables, and patio heaters) are fantastic. All in all, a full 5 stars, thank you so much for having us as your guests!

The best cappuccino ever, please don't change coffee brands! My only complaint is the noise coming from the dishwashing area – the sound of plates being handled roughly. We would have liked to have a few more, but in a quieter atmosphere.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere.

I just visited this lovely place today, and it was a wonderful experience. They greeted us with a smile and offered us a table without reservation. We had the pancakes and freshly brewed orange juice. It was such a treat. Although the amount of berries in the pancakes was immense. The portion was full filling.

They put a lot of effort into marketing and appearances, but the facade hides some questionable details. The first time I visited (in May 2024), I wanted to order some tap water together with my meal and other drink, but I was told they couldn't serve tap water because it was contaminated with lead due to their old pipes. Makes me wonder what water they cook the food with. The second time I visited (November 2025), I was part of a larger group where some people cancelled last minute. They told us there would be a charge of 30€ for every person who reserved and did not come, and that this charge was supposedly noted in the documents that were included with the text messages to confirm the reservation. Even after looking through all the legal documents, we were unable to find details of this (the OpenTable terms & conditions imply that restaurants may have their own policy on no-show charges, but I could not find it mentioned anywhere on the restaurant's part). While they did not actually end up charging us, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. Personally I enjoyed my food and drinks, but some of my companions did not. Also the acoustics of the room are pretty bad, when the restaurant is packed it's very difficult to have a conversation. I will definitely never come back here after these experiences.

We ate there with two adults and two children. The ambiance is truly breathtaking! Even the restrooms show great attention to aesthetics. The menu is also excellent, both visually and in terms of content! The drinks are great too (recommendation: homemade lemonade!). The wait time was very short. Unfortunately, I have to deduct one star for the lackluster service and the small portions for the price. A little more food would have been nice, even for the children's portions. And a smile would suit every server and wouldn't hurt at all ;)

I wanted to order something to satisfy my hunger, but since I am neither disabled nor a minor, I was not allowed to do so.

A wonderful discovery in the heart of Karlsruhe! The setting is truly charming, and the staff is very pleasant and attentive. The food is a success: German cuisine reinterpreted with taste. It's both beautiful and delicious, and you leave with the impression of having eaten good, revisited "classics." A place to recommend!

Since the restaurant was relatively quiet at the time we arrived, which was quite pleasant for us, I was surprised by the seating arrangements. There were waits (about 5 minutes - one group ahead of us), as the front-of-house staff took over this job, and then you don't want to know what's going on when the restaurant is completely full. Nevertheless, the service was genuinely attentive, even if it was lacking in competence and our table was rarely checked. The ambiance seems to be Wilma Wunder's signature, and some of our food and drinks also had Instagram potential. However, the quality was the biggest disappointment here. I had the fitness noodles and was impressed by the taste and the concept. Vegetable chips, which were supposed to provide crunch, were either fried too briefly or had already spent too much time cooking. The desired crunch was missing. Overall, I also felt like I was eating a rather lukewarm dish. The temperature certainly had no effect on the cheese that came with it. Last but not least, based on the description, I would have imagined a creamy coconut sauce, but it was more like pasta water. Since the service, as mentioned above, was very attentive, I refrained from criticizing it, but I would like to express it in retrospect, as I think there's real potential here. The ideas seem great to me, but the execution seems to suffer. Conclusion: A real eye-catcher with a great concept, which unfortunately hasn't lived up to expectations so far.

Nice restaurant in the center of Karlsruhe.

We were there that evening with 25 people. Sophie looked after us excellently, very quickly and courteously. We were really pleased that everything was perfectly prepared and delivered for such a large number, as we hadn't chosen any dishes in advance, but had ordered everything à la carte. Everyone enjoyed it, and many of us will be back soon.

We had a great time with good food and great service. All in all, a successful evening.

The guest enchanters are so diligent and incredibly friendly, many others could learn a thing or two from their work. Only the music wasn't to our taste; it was more for a younger crowd. But that wasn't why we were there. Very detailed allergen menu(s) - thank you very much; it's absolutely exemplary.

Let me put it this way: The food is really good; I don't think there's anything wrong with it, nor with the staff's work—quite the opposite. But the prices are a bit... pffff...

It's really rude when you want to order something for a snack and you're told it's only for children, that's not possible. If we'd had a child with us, would it have been possible??? Sorry, how inflexible!! Especially since two more people are coming in and want to take orders. And when you ask how long the place is open, you get a minute of "uhhhmmmm..." The salmon and spinach pasta was ice cold, the potato salad was almost inedible (canteen food), and the prices are unfortunately not reasonable! Well... if you've already renovated the place, which looks good, then adjust to the standards!

An example of how fast-food chains can also be good. Modern and very cozy ambiance. Homely cooking, plus seasonal specials. We found everything from the beef roulade and shoulder of pork to the kids' dishes with schnitzel and fish sticks to be very tasty. Good drinks selection too, but unfortunately a bit overpriced. Almost €7 for a homemade lemonade is simply too much.

The entire restaurant had a very strong kitchen smell of grease and fried food. Unfortunately, it was very unpleasant. Afterward, everything (clothes and hair) smelled of the kitchen. Otherwise, it was very nice and delicious.

Good food, nice atmosphere, but service was extremely slow. The place was almost empty, there were only five tables occupied, and it took 20 minutes to get the menu, another 15 minutes to order a drink, and then another 20 minutes to order the food. After another 45 minutes, the food arrived, and unfortunately, two of the eight dishes weren't brought correctly.

My favorite restaurant in all of Karlsruhe. The prices are quite high but that makes for a good time.

The dishes are excellently prepared and delicious. The drinks menu offers some exceptional options. The selection stands out from the competition. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than average. But considering the overall package, the extra cost was well spent. We'd be happy to come back.
