Das Stövchen ist inzwischen eine Institution. Gute Bewirtung, gute Lage, gutes Essen, schöner Biergarten im Hof, faire Preise. Das ganze in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre, ohne Tam Tam, Chi-chi und Stösschen.

Essen war gut, der Service leider etwas langsam.

Zweiter Besuch im Stövchen Dieses Mal hatten wir reserviert Bei schönstem Wetter hatten wir einen Platz im Biergarten. Service sehr schnell und freundlich. Das Essen brauchte keine 15 Minuten und war reichlich.

Die Speisen waren okay, zu viel Salateressing sodass am Ende alles matschig war, geschmacklich ok. Die Maultaschen haben nicht überzeugt, die Bowl war gut. Von riesigen Portionen wie es hier des Öfteren in den Rezessionen steht, hat man nichts gesehen. Service war freundlich und der Biergarten schön zum Sitzen. Ein Highlight sind die Kacheln im Toilettenbereich. Da kein Wickeltisch vorhanden, ist ein Besuch mit Babys oder Kleinkindern nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten besten Service und gut gemachtes Essen!

Das Lokal ist hübsch und der Service gut, aber wir waren eigentlich wegen des Flammkuchens gekommen und waren enttäuscht, dass er nicht mehr angeboten wurde. Stattdessen bekamen wir Spätzle, die zwar in Ordnung, aber sehr dick waren. Die Getränke waren hingegen gut.

Wir haben hier letzte Woche einen wirklich schönen Abend gehabt: wunderbares Essen, freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung, angenehme Atmosphäre - richtig prima! Nach einem interessanten Nachmittag am Schlossplatz ein toller Abschluss eines Urlaubstags. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Fünf Sterne!

Gutes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service.

Schöne, große Kneipe mit Biergarten im Hof und vorne auch ein paar Tische. Einfaches, aber hervorragendes Essen. Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, Wurstsalat, Currywurst und andere (vegetarische und vegane) Gerichte. Ambiente ist sehr rustikal. Es hängen alte Werbeblechschilder an den Wänden. Der Service war echt top, Essen und Getränke waren immer schnell da. Hier kommt man gerne hin.

Top Service, sehr gutes Essen zu schlanken Preisen

Urig, gemütlich, bodenständig. Und endlich mal eine Karte mit etwas anderen Sachen als die üblichen Standards.

Sehr originelle Variationen an Gerichten in kreativem Ambiente, da können sich 'langweilige' Lokale eine Scheibe abschneiden: Ich genoss mit Obatzta gefüllte, knusprige Schnitzelröllchen mit Senf-Mayo, Pommes (Extrawunsch) und ein wenig Salat. Sehr lecker, sehr freundlicher Service. Wie kommen sicher wieder!

Aber macht Samstags erst um 12 auf....zum Frühstück...was soll das denn??

Auf unserer Durchreise durch Karlsruhe empfanden wir den Ort als sehr angenehm und mit einer tollen Atmosphäre. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Kultkneipe, guter günstiger Mittagstisch

Wir sind durch Zufall auf das Stövchen gestoßen. Tolle Gaststätte, das Essen war lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Was für ein nettes kleines Restaurant! Wir haben köstlich und sehr günstig gegessen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und die Lage in einer sehr schönen Straße. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gemütliche Kneipe in einem schönen Hinterhof in der Waldstraße. Bodenständiges Essen zu fairen Preisen. Ideal zum Brunchen mit Freunden. Schöner, uriger und teilweise überdachter Außenbereich.

Die Robben gibt es wirklich!!!! Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Insbesondere die Sitzplätze entlang der Waldstraße sind nach einem Bummel ideal.

Sehr nettes Personal... Dachte erst mein Cordon Bleu ist sehr Klein aber es war vollkommend ausreichend. Auch meinem Freund hat es vollkommend gereicht. Mein Sohn hatte Schinkennudeln bekommen... Die waren mega lecker und der Teller war Randvoll mit Nudeln und Salat. Personal war ausreichend vorhanden. Es musste niemand warten. Man kann drinnen sowie draussen sitzen

Essen sehr lecker. Die besten Gemüsemaultaschen waren einer der besten die ich gegessen haben. Was mich aber stark stört der Preis ist schon leicht ünerdurchschnittlich und die Portionen sind sehr klein.

Wir waren zu zweit zum Mittag zum Essen da. Punktabzug gab es für Teils sehr trockene Spätzle beim Gulasch. Das Essen kam leider nicht gemeinsam am Tisch an, daher 2 Punkte Abzug beim Service, der ansonsten sehr freundlich war. Schade fand ich es, das man nur direkt an der Waldstaße draußen sitzen konnte, eine Bestuhlung im Hof würde ich persönlich angenehmer zu sitzen finden als Anmerkung für die kommende Schönwettersaison, da es dort etwas ruhiger ist.

Ein gutes Lokal mit guten Speisen. Das Ambiente innen und aussen ist sehr angenehm, dazu tragen auch immer die Gäste bei. Das Essen ist gut und das Personal ist freundlich.

Alles war super! Das Essen war köstlich und wurde sehr schnell serviert, das Restaurant war wunderschön eingerichtet und der Service sehr freundlich. Wir wurden von Natalia empfangen, die auch unsere Bestellung aufnahm. Sie war sehr nett und unterhielt sich sogar auf Spanisch mit uns! (Wir sind spanische Muttersprachler, daher war das wirklich schön.) Ich würde empfehlen, im Voraus zu reservieren, da das Restaurant normalerweise voll ist.

Mitarbeiterinnen waren freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen war gut für einen angemessenen fairen Preis. Ich werde gern wieder bei euch vorbei schauen.

Bin zur Mittagspause dort stehengeblieben und habe erstmal 2 Hausbiere getrunken. War dann sehr gemütlich und habe mir noch ein Essen bestellt, Käsespätzle mit Salatbeilage ! Das war sehr lecker , und ist in Norddeutschland oftmals nicht so häufig zu bekommen ! Freunlicher Service, toller Laden !

War gestern mit meiner Tochter dort. Zuvor war eine sehr bequeme und unkomplizierte Reservierung online möglich, die uns per Mail bestätigt wurde. Das Essen war zügig da, der Service sehr freundlich. Preislich auch alles in Ordnung.

Gutes Schweinefleisch, Apfelpfannkuchen, gutes Bier, freundlicher und schneller Service, günstige Preise

Das Essen mit einem kleinen panierten (früher waren es 2) Schnitzel und 6 Kroketten ist einfach zu wenig für 12 €, ein Salatblatt hat sich noch verirrt als Verzierung. Vom Geschmack her in Ordnung. Früher war es ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis aber jetzt nicht mehr. Alles andere ist okay.

Service der Hammer nette zuvorkommend Servicedame. Essen Top Preis ist angemessen Immer wieder gerne wenn ich in Karlsruhe bin.

We liked it very much! Very tasty beer and food

So, my wife ate a schnitzel... The fries were too hard, the schnitzel had more breading than meat, and it was so greasy that over an hour later it still tasted really greasy and disgusting in her mouth! I'm a chef myself, but I would never serve something like that, not even to my enemy. Absolutely revolting! We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink, even though our glasses had been empty for a while. The next room where we were sitting was also cold, and several people were wearing jackets. A really bad place!

A delicious currywurst with fries for 11 euros

My meal didn't meet my expectations, and there was no response from the kitchen to my complaint. When I paid, I wasn't even offered a coffee as compensation and was charged the full price. It's a shame; I used to really enjoy going there. December 16th Update: Still no response. Very disappointing. This shows how important each individual customer is, since new ones come in every day... I will avoid this restaurant in the future.

We stumbled upon Stövchen for the first time yesterday. Based on our experience, we'd love to come back anytime... Top-notch service, a welcoming atmosphere... Our fluffy table companions were the highlight of the evening. We'll definitely be back. Best regards, Eightschpie and Team

From the local pub to "If it absolutely has to be" - a real shame.

I've known this pub for over 30 years. It's a Karlsruhe institution. I recently returned after a long time and was disappointed to find that they no longer serve Flammkuchen! It was practically the Stövchen's trademark. The Flammkuchen creations with their imaginative names were what the Stövchen was always known and loved for. That's why I'm deducting a star, unfortunately. "Shepherd Boy," "Gardener with a Bite," and all the others... I miss you.

I absolutely loved this place!! So friendly and great food, they even offered small plates for snacking.

We hadn't made a reservation but still got a table very quickly. The schnitzels were good, just the portions were a bit small.

Unfortunately, there are no more tarte flambées on the menu...

I had delicious schnitzels. They were a bit smaller than I'd hoped, but the quality was good. Luckily, I'd ordered an extra currywurst. My wife had quite enough, so it was my fault. It had a delicious beer and a great meal.

The atmosphere is great, but unfortunately, the delicious tarte flambée and the small salads are no longer available. The food has lost some of its quality. It used to be a cult pub!

Delicious food at reasonable prices inside, on the traffic-calmed street, and in the beer garden. Unfortunately, the chairs outside are a bit uncomfortable for me, as a grown person over 1.9m tall.

The atmosphere in the beer garden was excellent, and the service was also very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was a mixture of convenience foods with no flavor.

Everything's great. What's really annoying, however, is when someone smokes iqcos outside. Unbearable.

A super nice pub in the heart of Karlsruhe! The service and prices are fantastic, and the selection is huge! You'll always find something you like.

Very tasty food, but it takes a little too long for the food to arrive after ordering.

A place open for lunch at somewhat unusual hours for the area... but it seems that beer gardens are havens for enjoying a good beer and a dish at any time of day. Despite our doubts about the language and the menu, we ate very well, and the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. Except for the usual blowflies and wasps, which we've encountered in many outdoor establishments.

A super fun cafe with sidewalk cafes and indoor seating. Limited menu, but super friendly and very fast service. Portions are a bit smaller than usual in Germany. But a dessert (of the week) fills it up. Also visit the restroom, if only for the fun tiles.

Top service, delicious food and a cozy atmosphere...

I've never experienced anything like this anywhere before (and I've been to a lot of places). I like going to the Stövchen with friends and family. But not anymore from today onwards. It was raining and the tables and chairs (all plastic) were a bit wet. I went in and just asked if we could still sit outside. They should have just quickly wiped them down with a cloth. Then the employee behind the counter, where four or five employees were standing around, shot me back that there wasn't enough capacity to wipe down a table and two chairs. It really wouldn't be possible right now. But she could kindly give me a cloth and wipe them herself. And she did this in a tone that would never have occurred to me in my many years of experience in the restaurant industry. I'm sorry, but there is an urgent need to instruct the employees that sound is everything.

Schnitzel with fries is always a hit. There's something for every taste. The winter garden is very cozy.

I occasionally come here with a few work colleagues, and the food, drinks, and atmosphere are all excellent. It's not without reason that we choose the same place again and again.

Although the prices have increased considerably here, they're still relatively fair. For me, the Stövchen is a permanent fixture in Karlsruhe 👍

Good little restaurant, inexpensive, generous German dishes, attentive and welcoming waiters, small terrace on the street or larger one on the interior courtyard, in short, a place to visit.

This place is perfect if you don’t feel like pulling out that old box of Frozen Food from your freezer and cooking it, but rather have this establishment pull their Frozen Food from their freezer and warm it up for you. Quality and flavour is not something to be expected here. If you want a cheap meal just to fill your stomach up, this might be it.
