It's a typical Franconian restaurant, simply furnished. The food is good, but the service could use some improvement; perhaps it would be better to find a more friendly server.

I've been a regular at Wilhelmshöhe since I was a little girl and always look forward to visiting whenever I have the time, but last Sunday showed me just how unfriendly one can be treated. I was alone and "only" wanted to order a takeaway dish, and I wasn't even greeted when I entered. The man behind the counter completely ignored me, and after I finally told the server I'd like a takeaway, she said it wasn't a good time because they were having so many orders. In my opinion, after years of experience in the restaurant industry, this is absolutely unacceptable for paying customers. I would have liked to leave a different rating for the service and would have certainly understood if I had been told politely and respectfully that there might be a wait. However, the food and the atmosphere deserve recognition.

This was our second time there, and we'll definitely be back. The food is delicious, and the service is incredibly friendly ☺️

We arrived with a voucher booklet, the drink arrived quickly, and then we had to wait for our order to be taken. Others arrived later and also received their drinks quickly and were able to order their food right away. Then we paid for our drinks and left.

I celebrated my birthday there; the food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. We were outside in the hunting lodge with 20 people, very rustic and cozy. Excellent value for money. We'll be back.

The food was excellent. The service not so much. Got a table right away. However, placing an order took quite a long time. Once received the Sulze my wife had and the schauferla that I had were excellently cooked. the bill was 40.10€. I gave the Lady 40€ and was fishing for bills for a tip and the remaining 10 cents. When she said you owe 10 Cents, I decided no tip. And gave her the 10 cents. She became upset when I did not tip her, saying that the kitchen help would appreciate a tip also. but I thought she was rude and refused to tip. Again the food was excellent.

A lovely old-school pub :) A great pub where it feels like mom is cooking, and the food is simply fantastic. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. The old guys are chatting and you feel like you've slowed down and gone back in time. We'll definitely be back. One thing I find unfortunate, but that's a matter of taste: Zirndorf beer isn't really my thing. Thanks for the lovely lunch.

The beer garden is surrounded by greenery, with old 🌳 trees and a flair you rarely find these days. No concrete jungle, no hipster chairs – just wooden benches, shade, and honest 0.5-liter half-liter 🍺 beer instead of trendy 0.4-liter Seidla (beer). 👩‍🍳 The heart of the place is the boss – 83 years young, and you wouldn't know it. Landlady, waitress, and cook all rolled into one, full of energy and passion. A legend! 🥗 Food? Absolutely amazing. I had lamb's lettuce 🥗 with homemade sauce and herring 🐟 – fresh and perfectly seasoned. Portions? Just right. My friends had cutlets 🍖, which were huge – and everyone raved about them. 🍴 Cuisine: Down-to-earth, Franconian, honest. Homemade sauces, honest ingredients, solid craftsmanship. The cooking is still done here – and you can taste it. 💬 Service: Personal, direct, with heart. No drama, just genuine hospitality. 🌟 Conclusion: One of the few places where Fürth still tastes authentic. A beer garden with trees 🌳, a tavern with soul ❤️, a kitchen with craftsmanship 👩‍🍳. For those who don't need hipster crap, but honest food, honest beer 🍺, and a hostess who is a legend. 👉 6 stars – if only there was an option. Thank you, boss – for your attitude, energy, and a lively inn. 💪

We followed our gourmet guide. The inn is somewhat hidden away. The entrance isn't exactly wheelchair accessible. Parking is difficult and far too few. However, the food was very good. Pan-fried schnitzel, sauerkraut with the bratwurst "just like mom's used to make." The mini-schäuferle (small dumplings) had a perfect sauce, served with two dumplings and salad. A Franconian can't complain. Our service was very friendly, if a bit overwhelmed. On our second visit, the beer garden was fully booked. We'd go back anytime! Be sure to make a reservation for Sunday lunch.

Very rude: at 8.30pm, with people eating outside, they refused to serve us, inviting us to go to McDonald's.

We were there on Thursday evening. We had Sauerbraten with dumplings and shashlik with fries (always available on Thursdays, we were told). It was quite busy. The service was still very friendly. The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. The wait was worth it. Both dishes were delicious. We had a gourmet block with us, but that wasn't a problem. We will definitely go back and try the schnitzel.

The food was really good. Service was very slow: We often sat for 20 minutes or more with empty glasses. Nobody came. Furthermore, the wine and schnapps, in particular, were always poured below the required volume. What am I supposed to think?

Rustic beer garden, gladly again

I liked it a lot. The food was good and the prices were absolutely fair. It was a small restaurant and a small beer garden, a bit hidden but really nice...Franconian...

We were a group of eight and managed to get a reservation at short notice. At first, we were a little disconcerted by the outside appearance, a bit hidden away. But inside, we were quickly and pleasantly surprised. Our order was taken quickly and drinks were delivered. Despite the number of people, the dishes came quickly one after the other, so we didn't have to wait for each other. Very tasty, the portions were large, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I would call it an insider tip for anyone who doesn't mind a rustic, quaint interior design.

A rustic pub with excellent German home cooking. In addition to a dining room, there's a side room, an outdoor area, and a garden house.

We've rarely experienced such unfriendly service; we felt unwelcome from the very beginning with our small child. The food was mediocre to bad...the finished hollandaise sauce was barely edible! On top of that, we were cheated on the bill with the "Schlemmerblock" (gourmet block)...just because we slightly changed our order after a minute, one item was counted as an extra dish instead of the whole meal. This makes me wonder, is the goal of participating in the "Schlemmerblock" actually to attract customers or to scare them away? Definitely never again!

Apparently open until 10 p.m. At 8 p.m. I didn't get anything to eat. The service was as unfriendly as I have ever experienced. Really pathetic!

We ate there today with a voucher book. We would never have gotten there without it as it is very hidden. The furnishings are very simple, at least in the main house. The service was good. The food is good Franconian cuisine at good prices. The portion sizes are really big. So if you like things simple and good, you're in good hands here.

Local visit because we are looking for a place to celebrate a big birthday. Since it is also advertised in the voucher book, we had the gourmet block with us. Turkey schnitzel wasn't really a hit and the middle carp was a big carp...maybe because of the voucher book

Very good roast pork, Schäufele, Cordon Blue and cheese spaetzle. The holiday soup was also tasty. There is still room for improvement with Kaiserschmarrn 😀

Since the new ownership, you can enjoy really good home-style food again.

At first we were a bit shocked because the reaction to the gourmet block wasn't that positive. BUT, the feeling got better and better throughout the evening, the draft beer was good, the two meals (Schäuferle and Käsespätzle) were excellent. In the end, some nonsense was done. Since we're moving to Die Hard soon, we know where we'll go for Franconian food in the future.

We come here relatively infrequently, but over the years (especially in the last 10), we've always been satisfied. A few things went wrong on our first visit, but only once, and it's a really good place to eat. During the week, shortly after opening at 11 a.m., a few of the "regulars' tables" were occupied, and the rest quickly filled up as well—I hadn't expected that. We ordered a shoulder of pork and a schnitzel (this time with the Schlemmerblock). Both were very tasty, and the gravy was decent (not a packet). The older waitress was good and consistently friendly to all guests (especially with the voucher book, that doesn't happen very often). Since there have been changes of management here from time to time, we can say that we're happy to return. A no-frills inn, but I wouldn't choose it for a romantic evening 😉 Parking is available in front of the building, but it quickly fills up when booking groups. Lowered cars are better parked on the main roads^^

No problem with Schlemmer Block either. We went there for lunch for the first time today with a larger group. We got a seat in the next room, which was good for us with the children. The sauerbraten was great! Very soft and a delicious sauce. Unfortunately there was no salad with this or the cordon bleu, which was also good. Since the dishes cost 17/18€ I would have assumed that. The Schäuferle came with a salad. That would be the only negative point from our side. The furnishings are very rustic, but that doesn't bother us. We were served normally and politely with the Schlemmerblock and would be happy to come back.

Home-style inn, lots of space and good food

We were in the restaurant with a gourmet block. We ordered carp, it cost 23.90 euros per carp, it didn't taste good at all, it wasn't seasoned, not crispy and lukewarm. The restaurant was cold, dark, not cozy. Not a cozy atmosphere. We can't recommend this restaurant. Once and not again.

If you are looking for Franconian hospitality, you are in good hands here. Contrary to general opinion about Franconia, things are very family-like here. You come in and are seated next to other guests (mostly regulars). You get into conversation and find out regional things. The restaurant itself is getting old, as is the staff, but that doesn't detract from the ambience. The service is friendly and familiar. The menu is tailored to Franconian tastes. Schäuferle, roast pork, schnitzel. Well prepared and served in 70s style.

Underground. We were greeted rudely and it continued that way throughout the evening. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food. After asking where our food was, we were told "You already had a soup" (2 soups for 5 people). The loin was just a schnitzel and the other dishes like potato salad didn't taste particularly good. The mushroom cream schnitzel was half burnt under the thick sauce. We became aware of this restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. But we definitely won't come again. Not recommended!

Good home cooking with very good Schäuferler / Cordonblue. The ambience was nice, a bit older but that didn't make up for the good food. The only thing to complain about is the condition that has been very negative towards Schlemmerblock users. 😡. But it doesn't matter, we'll be back 🤣🤣

Time has stood still here and that's a good thing. It's a bit like traveling back in time to the 80s. The place is clean and tidy, but hasn't had an "update" in a long time. A bit like “der Kalb” in Stadeln when it was still open. The visitors are all of retirement age, predominantly male and have a high BMI. People play Schafkopf, drink a lot of beer, and eat almost nothing but schnitzel and the like. The portions are generous, the service is quick but taciturn. And sometimes that's exactly what you need :-)

I have to eat gluten-free and unfortunately I'm not allowed to bring my own food!! It doesn’t matter whether I order drinks for myself or not. It's a real shame these days!!

I admit I didn't have high expectations when I first came here. The house seems a bit old and depending on who is behind the counter, the greeting can be a bit harsh. But the food makes you forget all that! Everything is just so delicious! The Schäufele is totally tender and falls off the bone, the fresh dumplings are a dream! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Absolute recommendation!

It's not possible: A Franconian inn introduces dynamic pricing. Instrument of crime: the apparently very sought-after Christmas goose. At 6.30 p.m. I got a breast and a leg for just under 20 euros on the daily notice, but when I paid the chef spontaneously increased it to 24.90 according to the waitress. People, be vigilant!

Good home cooking. Schnitzel there is absolutely delicious. Ambience could use a new coat of paint, but otherwise everything is fine. Prices are fair, you should just mention in advance that you want to pay by card so that the service doesn't have to go twice.

There were nine of us there today to celebrate mother's birthday. I've known the economy for a long time, but haven't been there for a while. In need of some renovation (inside and outside). Food was good, but we have also eaten better Franconian cuisine. Two ladies in the service were probably overwhelmed by all the guests who were there. Drinks took too long to be brought. After dinner came the hammer. When we checked the bill there were 4 dishes that we hadn't ordered and about 8!! Drinks that weren't ordered... Should we bring the bill from another table?? The difference was a whopping 43.50 euros. Luckily this could be sorted out, but it was definitely the last visit!! Sorry, that doesn't work at all.

We were there on Sunday around 12.30 for dinner, mini Schäufele with dumpling and chanterelle with bread dumpling, Both dishes were very tasty and plentiful. The service is friendly and fast, we can only recommend it.

So the menu entered here via Google is totally out of date, the prices are no longer correct, normal schnitzel €15.50 + cordon bleu €16.80. Other food prices have also increased. Plenty of portions, but unfortunately a bit sparing with spices. You have to order salad separately. There isn't much choice, I would have only eaten small things in the evening, but I didn't feel like eating sausage salad.

Organization a single catastrophe. We reserved a table the day before and had shish kebab as a meal, which we were really looking forward to as a group. Then came the disillusionment and disappointment. The reserved table wasn't free because another colleague simply let people sit at the reserved tables and they didn't feel like giving it up. This could be solved somehow because we sat down at a much smaller table that was fortunately still free. Then we wanted to order food and the waitress said that there were no more shish kebabs even though we had ordered them separately. They won't see us as guests anymore. A pity.

Schäuferle was very good, the sauce went well with it, the dumplings were also good. Not everyone likes lots of whole caraway seeds.

We went there for a drink this evening. So we can't say anything about the food. Unfortunately, you don't feel welcome here at all. It was 8:15 p.m. and there were only a few tables occupied. We actually wanted to have another coffee - the coffee machine is already off - okay, but the sound makes the music. 9:30 p.m. - we'll collect now. When I asked if it was open until 10 p.m. the answer was... yes, but we left at 10 p.m. Bill €10.10 - after all the service we decided against tipping. Unfortunately there is no change there to give out. So tip after all. We work in the catering industry ourselves and know that the days can sometimes be long. But you just have to bring a little bit of warmth and willingness to serve. It's a shame, because the location in the forest is actually really nice with the little church. We would have liked to come back again to try the much praised food. However, we would like to save ourselves that now! There are other places where people are happy to welcome guests.

Unfortunately I have to deduct stars, Schäuferle was small and burnt, sauce was too intense and didn't go well with the food, cheese spaetzle was also deducted, sry I hope things get better in the summer... there won't be any more visits until then

Everything was fine. Had breaded pork chop with potato salad plus side salad. Delicious and, like the rest of the menu, recommended. You will see me there more often now.

Went to Fürth on business today and were there for lunch. Top 👍😋❤️ This is how lunch should be and taste. No fast food, real food like mother's and it tastes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh yes and everything around it fits too. A tavern like there are unfortunately only a few left. We will be back!
