I've had better carp. The breading was thin and bitter, and the fish was completely lacking in salt. They served house wine but charged me for expensive Franconian wine. Oh well...

Delicious food of excellent quality and flavor. Highly recommended – however, reservations are essential as the restaurant is very popular.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. I ordered Lenchen with Spätzle, but the Spätzle weren't fresh and the sauce was from a packet. And all that for €17.50!

It's a bit of a walk from the center, but worth every step. The service was quick and the drinks were served promptly, even though the place was packed. The food was simply delicious; we had pan-fried schnitzel and pork tenderloin with spaetzle. Good food and a friendly, pleasant atmosphere – simply top-notch.

We spontaneously decided to eat here, and although it was quite busy, we still got a table – we were even allowed to join other guests, which was very kind and worked out perfectly. We both ordered food and were completely satisfied: The food was delicious, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and quick. There's really nothing to complain about. The atmosphere is fantastic and very inviting.

I'm shocked at how delicious the food was… I've never eaten such a good Schäufele (pork shoulder) before, and in such a wonderful Franconian setting. I'd love to come back. We didn't make a reservation on Saturday evening, but they still offered us a good table. I'm really looking forward to the next time.

I've known this restaurant for a long time. Today I was surprised by the price increase. Just since the government decided to reduce the VAT on food by 12%, prices have risen by an average of 12%. See the Schäufele (roast pork shoulder), roast pork, etc. The beer price has also increased. One might suspect foul play. A medium-sized carp for over €23 is almost very expensive in a traditional restaurant.

The three of us went to Fürth to watch football. We really wanted to have a Franconian meal beforehand. We were served immediately, warmly, and, most importantly, quickly. We opted for the roast pork with crackling, which was absolutely fantastic. It was so tender that a knife was unnecessary. They had two different light beers on tap. Great atmosphere. Very good value for money. I would have liked a little something green on the plate. But all in all, incredibly delicious.

If you haven't made a reservation, you can usually get a table at short notice.

It was already fantastic here about 25 years ago when I used to come with Grandma for carp, and it was just as good this time. Of course, I had to have carp, hoping it would still be just as good, and it was! My daughter and I had sauerbraten, which was also incredibly delicious, the sauce was divine, and my husband's pan-fried schnitzel was perfect too. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Once again, I came to the Stadtwappen for the best carp I've ever had. (My photo shows it already nibbled. Simply delicious. 😋) The atmosphere was as always quaint and cozy, and the service and reception were absolutely outstanding! All around, friendly, cheerful, engaging, and prompt, despite the restaurant being packed during the fair season. The food was, of course, first-class. Just one small request: don't change anything! ❤️ We'll be back soon.

I had a really good Sauerbraten. My companions had Schäufele (shoulder of pork). It looked very good and, according to my companions, was also very good. The service is warm and friendly, typical Franconian. The atmosphere is quite normal. There are a few very good Franconian restaurants in Fürth, such as the Schlössla or the Tannenbaum, and also the Stadtwappen. If you want good Franconian food, you should come here.

Wir waren in Gegensatz zu letzten Jahr sehr enttäuscht nicht das man für seinen Salat zu Gericht extra zahlen muss.( wäre ja noch akzeptabel.) Hatten wir kalte Fleischplatte aber ich musste gleich 2x hinschauen zu 9 Scheiben Fleisch bekam ich 1 kleine Scheibe Brot (von gestern ) Butter für 4 Scheiben Brot. Nach dem ich fragte ob ich noch Brot haben könnte brachte mir der Keller nochmals 1 Scheibe Brot die auch noch extra Berechnet wurde. Nein Danke

Eine urige Gaststätte mitten in Fürth mit hervorragender deutschen Küche und trotzdem eigenem Stil. Wir waren zu 8 dort. Schweinebraten, Schäufele, Sülze, Schnitzel, alles hatte eine individuelle Note, die es geschmacklich besonders und bemerkenswert gemacht hat. Jederzeit wieder!!!

Thr food was authentic german cuisine, party of 4, my brother inlaw had the mushroom schnitzel was creamy, rich, full of butter and love, I had brats sausage with sauerwerkraut .the brats had full of flavor and the sauerkraut was the right balance of salty and sweet with no overpower of vinegar. For my main I had the roast shoulder of pork and it was beautiful. Crispy and crackling on the skin and fall off the bone tender on the inside,full of flavor, the potatoes were dense, almost dumpling texture and the sauce was clean pairing for the two . My sisters had classic schnitzel with fries and my other sister had vienize style schnitzel with paprika with fries (not shown) she ate it to fast. Overall a fantastic german culinary experience. 4 dinner,1 appetizer and 4 beers under 100 euros.

One of the most authentic Franconian restaurants in the Nuremberg/Fürth area. And it's easy to get to by public transport. The crowd is refreshingly mixed, from retirees to hipsters, you'll find everything here. Plus, the food is super tasty and can be washed down with good Franconian beer. The icing on the cake is the fast and friendly service. We've been there several times and always enjoy coming back.

Food is good only if you order a small carp fillet you would like that too and not a medium one and there were still a lot of carp inside, a shame but the taste was good

Were there for the first time on December 23rd, 2024. Very nice waiter, great food, good price. You get the feeling that the operators enjoy running a restaurant. We have been here for many years. Unfortunately we were very disappointed yesterday. The Schäuferle was smaller in size than usual. The price of 16.90 euros is already an announcement!!!! The salad costs an extra 3.10 euros, although it is a large plate but only endive salad on it with a slice of tomato. This used to be mixed with cucumber and potato salad. The roast pork and the sauce had a strange taste of caraway that was annoying. Klos was good, but we won't be coming back. Too expensive and unfortunately the quality and taste no longer match.

Unfortunately there are only a few of them left. And I think it's good that you sometimes sit at a table with other guests. This is how you start a conversation and ultimately the landlord has to be able to use all the seats. As a guest, I think it's natural not to criticize this as I've read in other reviews here. (If you're shy of people, it might be better to eat at home)

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant for the first time today due to the high demand and the good reputation and good reviews. We had high expectations for the food and were not disappointed. The service was always very helpful and quick. We made a reservation for two, plus a delay that we announced because we still had to do something in the city. The food was quickly at the table within 10 minutes, including the starters. We each ate a Schäufele and starter salads. It was fresh, juicy and hot and therefore very tasty. Unfortunately our drinks were only taken after 10 minutes but that was manageable. These arrived quickly and cool. The price was also totally reasonable, with a tip for the waiter we paid a fitting €50 instead of €47. He was very friendly. But I have to deduct points for the ambience. The old German, quite rustic restaurant looks very nice and you feel very at home. However, we didn't get a table for two, but had to share it with several people, so the four of us had to sit close to strangers. This is really not easy for introverts. Unfortunately, it was also very, very loud, so you literally had to shout so that you could hear each other. Unfortunately there was no music that would have definitely counteracted the whole thing. When entering and exiting you have to go straight through the smoking smoke of the smokers who were standing right in front of the door in the entrance to the inner courtyard. That wasn't so nice either. All in all, a very nice restaurant where you can eat very well and we will repeat it again. Wir waren zu acht im Lokal und haben das Lokal extra für seine Karpfen besucht. Wir haben Karpfenfilet, Pfefferkarpfen, Schäufel und als Vorspeisen Tagessuppe, Leberknödelsuppe und Käsespätzle. Es war alles sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist auch sehr gut. Die Bedienung war herzlich und ehrlich in Ihrer Empfehlung. Alles in allem ein tolles Essenserlebnis. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen, da es uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Einen Punkt ziehe ich ab. Zwei unterschiedliche Themen die hier noch zu sagen ist. Parkplätze nur kostenpflichtig und das im Parkhaus. Ansonsten nicht viele Parkmöglichkeiten. Der zweite Punkt die Sanitären Anlagen. Diese sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen.

There were eight of us in the restaurant and we visited the restaurant specifically for its carp. We have carp fillet, pepper carp, shovel and, as starters, soup of the day, liver dumpling soup and cheese spaetzle. Everything was very good. The price-performance ratio is also very good. The waitress was warm and honest in her recommendation. All in all a great dining experience. We will definitely come back as we enjoyed it very much. I'll deduct one point. Two different topics that still need to be said here. Parking is only available for a fee and in the parking garage. Otherwise not many parking options. The second point is the sanitary facilities.
