Such a fantastic location! We had our winter chalet wedding style shoot here and it was the best choice we could have made. The treats that were conjured up for it and the atmosphere in the team were absolutely enchanting! Thank you very much for this great collaboration🫶🏼

We had cheese spaetzle and a piece of cake. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food delicious. It might just be a little cheaper.

Unfortunately, you won't be served here, even if there's hardly anything going on. Even after direct request, the employees ignore you. Then left again after 30 minutes. Absolutely not recommended 👎

No cake eaten there. The staff was so rude that we left straight away, even though that was the only reason we went to the wildlife park.

We were slightly ill on a Sunday that wasn't raining - so we didn't want to infect anyone. We wanted to eat outside. This was not possible; when we asked whether cake could be taken away, they were simply told that this was a restaurant and that was not possible. It's a shame, especially considering that you can take cakes and cakes with you from other Kandler locations. The waitress wasn't understanding either, just annoyed by the request. At the outside snack bar there would have been fries, currywurst and burnt biscuits. We politely declined

Incredibly expensive and then only mediocre good. It was almost empty, Saturday lunchtime, and we still waited a long time! 18 euros for a dry tarte flambée is almost outrageous. It's a shame but never again!

The only good thing was the nice young gentleman at the checkout. We ate Solianka and Vienna sausages with rolls. The rolls seemed to be from the day before, the wieners were strangely soft and my son refused to eat them due to a strange aftertaste. The solyanka was plentiful, but I found it very sour and bland. The hit, however, was that ketchup has to be paid extra for the Viennese, as only mustard is served free of charge... Children eat Viennese, but rarely mustard... this way you can also increase sales. We won't go here anymore ☹️

We were at the playground with the Kida and reserved a table for 4 by phone. 2:30 p.m. there, unfortunately not really busy, because we ate game there once on a sunny autumn day 4 years ago. We did that again today, but indoors. Cozy, warm, very friendly service that mastered the balancing act between constant availability without being intrusive to perfection. Kids shared an Italian-style tarte flambée and my wife and I enjoyed the game goulash (photo), I enjoyed the roast venison. We both had wild mushrooms as a side dish. Splendid. An absolute delight. The plates were preheated, but the meat could have been hotter. Nevertheless, it melted in the mouth, was pleasant, not too strong, not too intensely spiced. The mushrooms still had some bite, it was really great! If there was a kitchen beer on the menu like in the Maître, I would have bought one for the kitchen! If, instead of the PSR radio or whatever was playing, there was a little easy jazz playing to add to the ambience of the rustic-chic fireplace feeling... but as we all know, tastes are different. Thank you for the great experience. The chocolate cake rounded off our stay and ourselves. Is there an offer for the Jazz Days there? I sincerely wish this great restaurant more guests. Take a nice autumn walk with your favorite wool sweater and your favorite person and then eat game comfortably by the fireplace - what more could you want? GO THERE, IT'S WORTH IT, I PROMISE!! (I paid for everything myself and do not receive any commission for this review, but I would like it to be preserved and the staff and the location to be recognized by as many people as possible)

We wanted to eat something there on Sunday. But it was the case that although there were many free places, they were reserved inside and the outside ones were occupied either in the blazing sun or in the shade. After waiting a bit we found 2 places. Afterwards we waited forever for the food. The only waitress was friendly but overwhelmed with the number of seats. But it probably had a lot to do with the kitchen not keeping up. Otherwise the atmosphere is creepy. The interior is worn out, the flooring is unsightly... In summary, you can eat and drink something there and then leave quickly. It's a shame because the restaurant used to be attractive and the location is very good.

We have rarely experienced such unfriendly service. Inability meets excessive demands and reluctance. If you have to sit in the sun in an empty restaurant at 35 degrees because the service team doesn't feel like it, you can leave it alone. “Looking forward to your visit”? Hardly. The lady would have had her last day with me today.

Nice restaurant. Unfortunately it took a long time until we were served. There wasn't much going on and we had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to come after my partner had been to the restaurant twice. We sat outside on the terrace.

We waited almost an hour for the Wildparkburger. When we asked, it finally came, but the burger was cold 😬 not enough staff and very expensive. Not again.

If you want to experience really bad service, this is the place for you. We allowed ourselves to be placed and then were no longer noticed. When ordering and paying, we always had to go to the service person and ask, who reacted very unfriendly. There really wasn't much going on and their reason was that we were sitting around the corner, but there were other occupied tables there too. Another reason was that she had to serve the others first, otherwise the ice in their drinks would melt. No idea how long an order takes from her?! In addition, I received a drink that wasn't prepared according to the menu; when we asked, we didn't believe that it was different on the menu. Then suddenly the card was new and we would be to blame because we could say something (we did). Unfortunately it continued like this, then there were two prices on the menu for the same drink and she wanted to charge us the higher one despite the error. Very unfriendly and cheeky. We will definitely never go there again

We wanted to get something to eat and a coffee on a Sunday. At the entrance there was a sign telling us that we should wait to be assigned a seat. After 15 minutes of trying in vain to get the service staff's attention, I went to the counter to ask who was responsible for seating. I would be told that it wouldn't be possible to serve more people. We won't come here again

The restaurant was closed, only the small snack bar was open. A single, clearly distressed employee behind the counter was responsible for serving the entire outdoor area at 12:30 p.m. on a sunny weekday. The facility is very large and there is almost no end to seating. These were only sparsely occupied by guests, BECAUSE once you have made your way through the park to reach the restaurant, which looks beautiful from the outside, you are not allowed to have a full bladder, let alone a full bowel. There were NO TOILETS available! Neither for children who bought an ice cream from the sweating snack lady, nor for seniors who enjoyed a cool shandy under the umbrella when the outside temperature was over 30 degrees. I was told that in order to relieve myself you had to go back to the log cabin or to the playground. (Yes...further away and on foot.) This is a statement that will certainly make mothers with small children and strollers happy... I'm not really sure what German case law says: Don't restaurants of this size MUST offer sanitary rooms?! Regardless, the employee's working conditions make me think. There are certainly ways to make her workplace situation more humane/tolerable. Standing 2 meters next to a grill/oven in a closed room for many hours when the outside temperature is 30 degrees - respect! Hopefully there won't be a rush of guests under these conditions. But, dear operators, hopefully YOU are sitting in an air-conditioned room with an empty bladder and have more than 4 square meters to move around to count your money. Maybe they'll put it aside for a few minutes and read through some law books, or get tips from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce over the phone. This is all just a thought of mine...

The employee at the kiosk seemed a bit overwhelmed, but he tried hard to keep the waiting time short. In high season you should have at least 2 people. The food was ok for the price.

Great location, great interior design. Went there with a larger group for a birthday dinner. Food was very good, selection of cakes was great, selection of drinks as well. Our service at the table was very friendly and attentive (5 stars and a big thank you for this young, very nice woman)! However, unfortunately there are deductions because the overall ambience was really spoiled by the harsh behavior of another employee. Unfriendly reception, feeling guests are not really welcome, had to leave our stroller outside at other people's tables, even though there was enough space inside and even though I had specifically announced the children. There was always a ribbon at the entrance that either had to be pulled up by the staff or - self-made and often seen - guests had to walk through below. One employee's bad mood was really noticeable. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been 5 stars.

Two long thin sausages called Wiener + bread. They will put ketchup, mustard, or both on it. The people at the store are kind, and the surrounding customers have a good atmosphere.

There are few animals for the large park.

Were in the beer garden. Very tasty fries, fair prices. Very friendly staff. Everything is great.

With the best spring weather, we wanted to have a snack at lunchtime on our bike tour, but the self-service shop was closed due to supposed illness.

Inflexible and limited friendly staff. It's better to send guests away instead of selling them cake and ice cream to-go. There are also park benches etc. in the area where you can have something to eat if the few outdoor tables are all occupied.

Incredibly delicious! We ate here for the first time today and we loved it. We quickly reserved a table 30 minutes in advance and off we went. The Wildparkburger and the Wiener Schnitzel were definitely worth the money and we will definitely be back to feast on the variety of cakes. The two waitresses were also really friendly and accommodating.

Snack bar and restaurant, both with seating. At the snack bar there is a small playground with benches and tables. So there is a place for everyone to sit.

Food and ambience were good. Unfortunately, small details were not addressed. For example, fries for the little ones or just a plate of pasta for the kids. We found that quite inflexible. There wasn't even a question in the kitchen. Otherwise the service was very nice. Just a little note: The sanitary facilities do not meet the standard and urgently need to be renovated. Doesn't fit the ambience of the wildlife park restaurant at all.

There is nothing to complain about at all, except that 5 stars are not enough to rate everything!!! A visit to Leipzig again would be worth it for that alone!!!

At the first rays of sunshine there was a lot going on here. The service was still very friendly and attentive. The cake tasted very good.

Fries are top notch. Crispy, fluffy and well seasoned. Coffee is excellent for €2 😄

Very nice staff, friendly, chatty and fast service. The cake, gooseberry bisair was heavenly. You can taste the love that went into baking. Since the weather was nice, we were able to enjoy coffee and cake outside in the sun.

I've thought about it, but I really can't think of anything that could have been done better. We were at a birthday table we had ordered and everything was delicious, arrived very quickly and the service staff were super nice and accommodating. However, reserving a table is highly recommended if you want to sit inside.

We were there on Sunday. The location in the middle of the wildlife park is beautiful. Since the weather was wonderful, it was correspondingly full, and the outdoor area was also well attended. Luckily we had reserved a table. We were greeted warmly at the door and shown to the table. We were 2 people more than reserved, but that wasn't a problem. A small table and 2 chairs were quickly organized. Even as adults, we were able to order dishes from the children's menu without any problems. I've experienced this differently in other restaurants. Therefore - great. The portions from the “normal” menu were really huge and it was tasty too. The service was quick and friendly. All in all a very pleasant visit

Today they 30 people waiting in line to get served at the Imbiss outside (not the restaurant). Took a good 30 minutes plus to just to get to the front of the line and order a few drinks from their fridge. It’s on the beginning of spring and they have a single Kasse, with just one employee serving. We asked, wouldn’t it be better to have two Kassen, we’ve been waiting half an hour? The employee replied with “nä!”. Will avoid next time. Can’t imagine what it’s like in summer…

"Welcome"? There are several versions of this in front of the restaurant. At the entrance "You will be placed"! But we weren't because we didn't have a reservation 😖We were reminded of the GDR times, where you had to reserve everything. Alternatively, we were offered a seat in the outdoor restaurant, including 20 minutes of waiting time. A pity! Apparently there is no need to act in a customer-friendly manner.😡

Thank you for the reservation! Everything went well, even the back of the fireplace was right. The play area in sight was perfect too! All the birthday guests enjoyed the cakes, ice cream and drinks. I was really impressed with the apple strudel! Thank you, see you again soon!

Here you can choose from delicious wild goulash as well as extremely good cakes/tarts/iced chocolate etc. The rustic wooden hut has a very special charm. There are also good vegetarian dishes. And play area for children. Prices are OK too.

Simply nice for a beer at the snack bar/beer garden.

We've eaten here more often now, the service is simply great, always polite and courteous despite the restaurant being full. The boss is lucky to have such staff. The food and cakes are simply delicious. Keep it up

Wir sind maßlos enttäuscht. 1.wenn schon keine Früchte da sind für Eisbecher,dann müsste das Personal schon von Anfang an darauf hinweisen 2.Eiscafe mit warmen Kaffee ,ein Nogo Also eine Note 4 von ehemaligen Gastronomen

Waren jetzt schon das zweite Jahr zum Weihnachtsessen und es war wieder mega: leckeres Essen, superfreundliches Personal, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gaststätte war geschlossen nur der Außenbereich hatte aus und war nicht sonderlich einladend.

Die Gaststätte hat nur am Wochenende offen und wir von Cafe Kandler betreut. Soll heißen, die Bedienung und die Kuchen sind von dort. Die Auswahl ist gemässigt, aber man findet sicher was. Die Gerichte sind gut, aber man hat nicht das Gefühl wirklich den Gegenwert zu bekommen, den man bezahlt. Allerdings muss man den Aufwand berücksichtigen und dann passt das wohl irgendwie. Die Torten sind wirklich lecker, nur die veganen Optionen sind wirklich schwer zu finden. Das Ambiente toppt natürlich das Ganze und wird wohl der Hauptgrund sein, dort einzukehren. Wir danken herzlich unserer Bedienung, die sehr freundlich und professionell auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist.

Essen war super. Wurden aber bei kartenzahlung übers ohr gehauen. Es wurde mehr berechnet als vorher gesagt wurde. Das display wurde bei Bezahlung zugehalten mit absicht. Und da glaubt man das gute im Menschen. Also aufpassen wer mit karte zahlt in der gaststätte.

Ein Ort für Entspannung und Ausruhen. Sehr guter Kaffee naja Preise sind über all gleich Hoch.

Die Lage ist sehr schön. Die Sitzplätze sind ausreichend. Die Auswahl für den Imbiss außen wirklich gut. Freundliches Personal. Allgemein fehlen in dem Park aber ein paar mehr Sanitäre Anlagen.

Vorallem im Sommer ein toller Ort für Ausflüge in die Natur und (Kinder)geburtstagsfeier.

Der Imbiss hat eine neue Karte. Die klassische Bockwurst fehlt, dafür mehr kleine Menüs. Trotzdem lecker und empfehlenswert im Freisitz einzukehren. Zu Trinken auch zahlreiche alkoholfreie Spezialitäten.

Nett gelegen. Nur heute darf die Toilette nicht benutzt werden wegen geschlossener Gesellschaft. Drinnen ist ein!!! Tisch besetzt mit Leuten, die nicht gestört sein möchten. Also wird in die Gegend gepinkelt. Sauerei und Frechheit.

Esperienza bellissima in questa struttura spettacolare, che ricorda un po' un rifugio di montagna ed é curata nel minimo dettaglio. Le pietanze di origine tedesca erano davvero all'altezza della situazione. Assolutamente da vedere.

Waren zufällig in der Gegend und sind spontan auf ein (frühes) Abendessen reingegangen. Der Service war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Essen war für Lage und Preis absolut ok. Das Ambiente ist von innen besser als von außen, das Gebäude etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber innen hübsch eingerichtet. Insgesamt auf jedenfall zu empfehlen. Gut eine Stunde vor Schließzeit direkt erklärt zu bekommen dass in 15 min Küchenschluss ist war zwar überraschend aber fair zu erfahren so dass wir uns entsprechend spontan entscheiden konnten.

5 Sterne plus! Ich habe selten so gut gegessen und wurde selten so zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und höflich bedient. Auf bequemen Stühlen im offenen und hellen Gastbereich dürfte ich eine der leckersten und in allen Komponenten raffiniert zubereiteten Speisen genießen. An dieser Stelle noch einmal einen großen Dank an die Küche. Auch die Kuchen und Torten sind ein absoluter Genuss, auch wenn man es bei der riesigen Auswahl etwas schwer hat sich zu entscheiden. Die etwa höheren Preise sind angesichts der Köstlichkeit der Speisen und aufgrund des hervorragenden Services mehr als angemessen. Ich werde sicher bald wieder vorbei kommen.

Wir waren heute am Imbiss hier. Die Preise gehen in Ordnung, das Angebot war groß und die Portionen auch. Den Kindern haben die Nudeln und die Pommes geschmeckt und die Currywurst war auch gut. Für eine kleine Pause im Wildpark sehr zu empfehlen.

Tolles Ambiente. Sehr nette Bedienung. Super kinderfreundlich. Essen kann ich leider nicht beurteilen, las sich in der Karte aber gut und sah auf anderen Tellern lecker aus. Unsere Getränke waren gut!

Zum Neujahrstag Mittagessen war alles prima. Komme von außerhalb und und bin angenehm von diesem Ambiente im Wildpark angetan. Gern wieder in einem Jahr. 🙂👍

Essen kann ich nicht bewerten. Hohe Preise für warme Getränke. 4.50 € für eine heiße Schokolade die wie das Pulver schmeckt. Es wurde weißer Glühwein bestellt aber roter gebracht. Kein entgegen kommen vom Personal, wenn man dann so freundlich ist und nicht nach Ersatz fordert. Schöne Location aber Toilettenräume super kalt bei -1 °C Außentemperatur also Blasenentzündung inklusive.

Gibt schlechtere Orte für eine Betriebsweihnachtsfeier.

Der Imbissverkauf ist super. Sehr nettes Personal und schönes Ambiente. Weiter so, kommen gerne wieder.

Soweit in Ordnung, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich & die Gaststätte war sehr gemütlich. Einziges Manko , schließt an einem Sonntag um 17 Uhr, sehr schade !

Es war wie immer ein schöner Ausflug in die Natur.

Essen und Service einfach super!

Wir mussten leider an einem Feiertag 30 Minuten auf ein Stück Kuchen und was zu trinken waren. Die Torte was ausgezeichnet. Auch die Getränke waren qualitativ sehr gut, jedoch aber 8€ zu verlangen für ein Kännchen Kakao ist kaum bezahlbar!

Die Lage der Gaststätte ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen, mitten im Wildpark. Von außen wird das Gebäude wie aus der Zeit gefallen. Oh eine große Tafel mit der Aufschrift geschlossene Gesellschaft und eine geschlossene Tür um die Mittagszeit lässt signalisieren, dass hier wohl kein LaufPublikum willkommen geheißen wird. Wir hatten allerdings bestellt, und so durften wir eintreten. Jede unserer Gäste und auch nachfolgende Personen anderer Gesellschaften wurden erst eingelassen nachdem die Einlasssperre von einem etwas barschen Kellner geöffnet und geschlossen wurde. Nicht gern gesehen wurde, wenn diese Sperre eigenständig betätigt wurde. Das kann man sich auch besser und freundlicher lösen. Obwohl wir uns fast 4 Stunden im Restaurant aufhielten, waren zwei große Tische die ganze Zeit unbesetzt. Das Restaurant wirkt im Innenraum sehr freundlich und neu renoviert, die Toiletten allerdings sehen aus wie in den achtziger Jahren, wirken wenig gepflegt und dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Eine Wickelmöglichkeit befindet sich im Gang, welche optisch nicht ansprechend ist, und auch mitten im Durchlauf sehr zugig ist. Die Speisekarte ist ansprechend, leider kam das Essen vorwiegend kalt an den Tisch, was für den Preis mit knapp 20,- pro Gericht nicht gerechtfertigt ist. Auch die Portionsgrößen sind sehr überschaubar. Jeder unserer Gäste hat die Teller ohne Probleme leer bekommen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist zumindest fragwürdig. Leider hatten wir auch eine sehr lange Wartezeit bis das Essen auf dem Tisch serviert wurde.
