Wellnesshotel - Restaurant Hexenschopf - 3 Sterne Superior in Löffingen

We attended an event in Löffingen and stayed overnight at the Hexenschopf. We were warmly welcomed in the restaurant and then taken by the lady to the hotel next door. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The drain cover was missing from the bathroom sink, which is annoying if something spills into the sink. The mattresses weren't in the best condition; you sank into them quite a bit. But otherwise, everything was fine. Breakfast was served in the restaurant next door. There wasn't much choice, but it was adequate. They should definitely pay more attention to the quality of the bread and rolls. It was the cheapest supermarket bread, and the rolls were probably the same. Just charge €5 more per night and buy decent baked goods. All in all, it was okay, but nothing more.

The hotel is clean and the breakfast is adequate. The spa area is very nice. The mattress in the room was very worn out, hence 4/5 stars.

Great restaurant, delicious food, very friendly service. When it wasn't busy, the food arrived quickly; when there were more guests, it took a little longer – 35 minutes is perfectly acceptable for fresh food. The inn is absolutely charming and wonderful!

Super hotel with great wellness

We went to dinner with a group of 17. The food was very good. Unfortunately, the waitress only came once to take our order. Many of us would have liked to order something else, drinks/dessert, etc. Conclusion: The food was good, the service was a complete disaster (I don't mean the waitress, but the fact that she was alone).

The room was of good size clean and tidy and had the facilities you needed. Our room was in a separate building to the main Restaurant/bar, which I thought was nice. Didn't get to use the spa/ wellness area so can't comment on that side. The food was nice as was the eating area. The staff were polite but not in your face. This was a 1 night stop for us on our way through to Bavaria. There is off road parking but it is very limited and can be taken up by guests that are just having a drink in the beer garden. All in all a nice rest point.

We stopped by for dinner spontaneously, without a reservation. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the prices were fair. Highly recommended.

The Hexenschopf was our base for our weekend trip to the surrounding archery ranges. All in all, a lovely weekend at the Hexenschopf.

We were there a while ago. The service was just okay. I had a soup that was unfortunately way too salty. The rest of the food was okay for the price. Unfortunately, we were practically ignored at reception, and our table reservation for 10 people wasn't properly recorded, but we were still able to get a table on the spot. The reason I'm writing this bad review is because a review had already been written that was better (3 stars), but due to supposed "defamation," it was deleted, which is absolutely wrong and not okay!

This review applies exclusively to the restaurant. We made a table reservation by phone, which was confirmed with the words "no problem, just come." When we arrived, we were greeted very rudely by two ladies and seated at a dirty table inside. Now the waiting and waiting begins... After observing other guests complaining because they were sitting in front of empty drinks, or complaining because the side salad wasn't there even after the main course, or simply having to wait to be finally released from their fate and pay, we were still sitting there after 30 minutes without any response from either of the ladies to at least take our drink order. :-( After another 10 minutes of inactivity, we decided to try another restaurant in the area. The witch's head has definitely seen the last of us! You should consider in advance whether you can handle the service, otherwise you should look for a new job.

I just ate here. There was a bit of a wait for my order, but hey, it was worth it. I had a schnitzel and was already completely full.

We only ate there for lunch and can highly recommend it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere lovely. We'd be happy to go back anytime.

All salads were dressed with Lidl's ready-made dressing, chicken from the presentation, spaghetti still hard, one meal was simply forgotten... Not recommended...

I can't say anything about the hotel because we actually just wanted to eat in the restaurant. But we didn't. After being shown to our table, which was still dirty from the previous guests, we were handed the menu, and we waited a full 45 minutes without anyone coming to take our orders. We simply left. Hungry and thirsty!

Hello, We are hiking the Schluchtensteig trail and staying at the Stallegg farm. Just as the Stallegg farm is a great place to stay overnight, the Hexenschopf restaurant also offers a great delivery service to the farm. Fair prices, fast delivery, and above all, delicious, high-quality food. If I'm in the area again, this will definitely be a stop. Best regards

I can only review the restaurant, but I can definitely recommend it. Very clean, delicious, and good value for money. We went back for dinner the next day. My tip: Gyro schnitzel. Sensational. I ate it so quickly that I didn't get a chance to take a photo ;)

I can't comment on the room or the hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Several of us ate there several times over a few days, and all the dishes were very good. The service was excellent both inside and outside. Good value for money.

Last weekend, we were culinary guests at the outdoor restaurant with 10 hiking friends. The food was excellent, and the attentive waitress, who had the terrace completely under control, left nothing to be desired. Thank you for the lovely and, above all, delicious evening!

I stayed here for two nights. I had dinner and can't at all confirm what some people are saying. The pizza was so good that I ate it two days in a row. Many Italians could learn a thing or two from that. The waitress was very accommodating and super friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I'm in the area, I'll eat here again.

The food arrived extremely late. The onion soup had nothing to do with onion soup. All in all, it was extremely unsatisfying.

The price/performance ratio is excellent. A decent single room with a typical hotel breakfast. A great sauna, unfortunately only open from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Free parking.

A very nice hotel with super friendly staff. Everything is clean. The bathroom is beautifully decorated with LED lights. The restaurant is beautifully rustic, truly "witchcraft." The food is excellent! We loved all the dishes. Afterwards, we get a free drink! We'd love to come back!

Yes, it's good for short trips... unfortunately the fridge was broken

A very good price/performance ratio, including half board. In many hotels the food with half board is quite poor. Here you get a small menu, as you would expect in an Italian restaurant. There is always something for small children too. The selection is a bit limited only at breakfast, but there is always enough.

Ordered food via Lieferando. The order was canceled, but you kept the tip that was paid in advance via Paypal. Audacity wins .:.

Half board has no value here, the difference to the normal menu is about €4-6. Food is distributed according to the kitchen's whim. After complaining (ordered the same thing the night before, twice as big and half an hour later and no more salt and 2 hours later, that's called extra seasoning and a lot of work to be done. Great photos online, sauna only half functional, the other one is broken, according to the statement at reception. You can't say the wrong thing, as long as you smile nicely, you'll be served reasonably well, and the waitress makes an effort.

A unique hotel🧙‍♀️🧹. The name “Hexenschopf” says it all. Very lovingly furnished in “witch style”. A place to feel good. The restaurant has delicious food and a large selection 👍. For a double bed, a large bed would be better than two small ones next to each other. Otherwise very large and warm rooms. In the area you can take a nice walk at Titisee 🌊🐟

We visited the establishment for a family weekend. The location is pleasant because it is close to several interesting activities. The wellness area is accessible on request in the morning for the evening, the integration of the sauna in the basement is very successful! The relaxation chairs are also very comfortable. The layout of the main building is not easy for the staff because reception takes place in the restaurant room in addition to service. The half board formula is excellent value for money (18e/pers/day) the plates are provided and well prepared. Furthermore, the price of drinks is very reasonable. Breakfast is taken in the restaurant room at the bar level. A little more smile and friendliness would be appreciated. However, this does not detract from the quality of the place, perhaps a little to the charm!

The rooms are ok but the service and the food are not that good. Everything seemed so careless and there aren't even towels for the sauna. It's a shame because the hotel and the restaurant are clean and cozy. I wish that Service and friendliness needs to be improved somewhat.

Nothing special from the outside, but a dream for us from the inside. Our room was inviting, clean and simply comfortable. The mattresses were a bit too soft for me, my men thought it was great, so like everything in life, it's a matter of opinion. The employees, the boss and his wife, were incredibly nice, a bit awkward at the beginning, but that was meant to be endearing and not derogatory. My 4-year-old son felt very comfortable and everyone present was sweet to him, which he honored with a hug and a kiss on the cheek when he said goodbye. We can only recommend an address where children and animals are welcome, where the rooms exude so much warmth and charm and the food puts you in the holiday mood. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable for the region and we will definitely come back.

This was our second time staying at this hotel (within a year). The first time we were reasonably satisfied, except for the street noise that we heard despite the window being closed and the broken bed sheet. But this time we were very disappointed. It started when we arrived. Although you can check in from 11:30 a.m., our room was not ready at 12:00 p.m. and we were asked to wait another 20 minutes. After 30 minutes the room was still not ready and we cleared it anyway. The new (still damp) curtain was installed in our presence. We had reserved a table for dinner. And even though there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant, we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. Last but not least, the food wasn't really hot but okay. The service person asked whether it tasted good, but when she said it wasn't hot, there was no suggestion of improvement. The next morning we were looking forward to breakfast, but were disappointed. Tea water not hot enough, simple baked rolls, sausage and cheese on a platter (not suitable for vegetarians) at the counter, one type of sausage smelled quite strong but not good (I didn't dare try it because it smelled rotten). Apart from a few tomatoes there was nothing fresh, including no fruit. There were 3 people behind the counter who were talking in their local language (estimated) and kept watching us. You can imagine it's like feeding in the zoo. When we were leaving, we were just loading our suitcases into the car when a lady came up to us and asked, "Keys please." Since we didn't have all the luggage out of the room yet, we said: We're not ready yet, but we'll check out soon. It didn't even take 5 minutes until we had everything out of the room and wanted to hand over the key, but then we found ourselves in front of the locked door. We then had to call the owner to find out where to leave the key (a gray box on the wall with a drop-in flap - similar to a mailbox). It would have been nice if this had been communicated to us either at breakfast or by the lady who wanted the key. So we had to leave without saying goodbye. For a 3 star superior hotel, it is not enough that there is a certain technical standard in the rooms; the service also has to be good (the price-performance ratio is not right here).

We had a nice big suite for 3 days. Rooms are well insulated, we didn't notice any street noise. The wellness area is very quick and tastefully decorated. The only thing missing is hooks for the towels. There is also no water dispenser. It is advisable to bring your own bathrobe and large towels. The breakfast was sufficient/average. Those who book half board can choose from 6 different main courses for dinner.

We were guests at the Hexenschopf for a week. - The rooms are quite small. The bathroom works well. Cleanliness OK. But: The rooms facing the street are so plagued by street noise that you can hardly get a wink of sleep. Therefore only 1 star for the location. - Breakfast is a weak point. Simplest, cheap baked rolls, if there were any in the basket. Just one kind of cheese. No fruit, no vegetables such as tomatoes. The scrambled eggs often sit for too long and discolor the metal key. - Service very good or rather mediocre depending on the employee.

Small but nice hotel with an outstanding wellness area. My single room was a bit noisy and small and the breakfast was also rather minimalist (prepared cheese/sausage platter on the table), which was absolutely sufficient for my purposes. What's really great is the wellness area in a suggested vaulted cellar with 2x 90°C saunas and 2x infrared cabins that can be switched on if necessary. There are also comfortable loungers for “burning out”.

You are greeted at the counter of the restaurant of the same name, where there is a sign that says “Review”. The staff is more concerned with serving food than acting as receptionists. After a while the focus was on my humble self. Due to a pronounced language barrier, much of the content of the conversation could not be understood, let alone implemented. Spa area okay. The sauna is only heated up after prior arrangement and a few hours' notice. The only way to cool off is in a shower, but no pool or similar. Towels are not provided. About the room: outdated furnishings, bathroom okay, first impression passable. However, I have never experienced such sagging beds. In midsummer, the non-air-conditioned rooms on the sunny side are a feast. The hotel is also located on a busy thoroughfare - trucks roar up the slope every minute. The whole room vibrates. With all these factors, sleep is out of the question. I'd rather sleep in a tent in the forest. Never again. Finally, the highlight of every business traveler: First of all, you are held off until the last hour to issue an invoice. After a long wait at the "reception" you will be presented with an invoice that is €15 lower than what you paid in advance. A correction is only made after a long telephone discussion with the owner and more than half an hour of waiting. This is where my patience finally came to an end. Not everything is bad, but if I could I would give zero stars!

Very very bad service everything takes a very long time. Drink empty, no replenishment. Wood-fired pizza when the weather is nice! Where? It was 30 degrees of bright sunshine and the pizza didn't come from the wooden box on the terrace. Not recommended

Were only there to eat. That was great. All friendly. Location cool, with all the witch masks. There is a selection of pizzas and pastas. Or you can treat yourself to something good, bourgeois. To recommend

We had a nice meal here at the end of our travel day. Traditional German food and pizzas and pastas are served by friendly staff. The restaurant inside has an authentic appearance due to the wooden beams. The terrace outside is unfortunately without atmosphere.

I've been to Essen several times now. Prices and quality are okay. The ladies in service should perhaps smile every now and then and not always react grumpily. But overall ok on site. Today we were guests in Titisee and ordered delivery. And that's a disgrace. One of four dishes could no longer be eaten because the packaging had opened during transport and the spaetzle sauce was floating in the paper bag. What's more, the bag was actually soaked at the bottom and I still had to clean the terrace of the holiday apartment. When I called, the driver said he couldn't do anything because Sue was too far away, didn't offer anything and didn't really apologize. This has nothing to do with service and doesn't even deserve a star

Stayed at the hotel while traveling through, unfortunately I can't recommend it.

We are there for a celebration. We would have expected better. Service didn't go so well, as hardly any German was spoken or understood. Everything was very carelessly prepared and the taste wasn't great either. Such a nice restaurant in itself, but unfortunately the quality is lacking. We probably won't go there again privately.

Not OK. I ordered an asparagus toast with rump steak and got a toast with very dry pork loin, salad garnish; grated carrot and potato salad (probably ready meal) the waitress spoke to, but didn't respond and disappeared into the kitchen. Service generally very inattentive, I don't think anyone in this company has professional training or experience with gastronomy. Of course I got the bill for the full price of the rump steak that I had actually ordered. We were eating with 7 people and everyone was dissatisfied and, above all, hungry. It was my third time there and the third time I was very dissatisfied. Never again... I can't recommend it

A typical craftsman hotel. The staff speaks more Russian than German and gets completely confused with the reservations. The single rooms are really very small. The furniture is functional. The linens seem to be fresh, the bathroom is clean and it is inexpensive.

Schönes Lokal, gute Pizza,nettes Personal, Preise sind angemessen.

Bestellt über Lieferando. Über 1 Stunde Wartezeit für 2 Pizzen und 1x Nudeln. Das Essen war bei der Anlieferung kalt! Bei einer Pizza waren Tunfisch Reste im Karton obwohl wir nichts mit Tunfisch bestellt haben. Für eine halbe Artischocke aus dem Glas 1€ extra. Mini Salat für 5€! Preis Leistung eher schlecht. Wir werden hier nie wieder etwas essen!

It’s Really nice restaurant with delicious food, and very elegant.

Haben essen bestellt, direkt per Telefon im Restaurant. 1x Schnitzel und 1x Gyros. Schnitzel war okay soweit, "Gyros" waren einfach ein paar recht zähe Stücke Fleisch. Preis gemäss Speisekarte online 14.5€ jeweils. In diversen Apps 15.5€, was ja okay ist, um Gebühren abzudecken. Mir wurde vor Ort dann pro Gericht 17€ berechnet, ohne Begründung. Habe es dann leider erst zuhause gemerkt, dass das nicht stimmt.

Bei Buchung keinen Hinweis auf Ruhetag. Daher keine Sauna des Wellnesshotela angestellt. Auf Nachfrage die Bio Sauce mit 60 grad. Kein Handtuch in der Sauna. Wir sollen die vom Zimmer nutzen 🙄. Wellness Hotel kenne ich völlig anders. Frühstück unterirdisch. Die schweren Laster der Bundesstraße donnern durch den Ort, direkt am Hotel vorbei. Parkt eure PKW weise. Wenn überhaupt. Absolut KEINE Empfehlung

Wir haben da nicht gewohnt, aber waren zwei mal dort Essen. Das Essen super lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Immer wieder gerne👍👍

Wir waren hier auf der Durchreise spontan essen. Ganz netter Service der Dame. Das Restaurant hat einen unglaublichen Charme, ganz toll. Das Essen war ALLES (6Pers) richtig klasse. Steak bestens gebraten, Nudeln mit Pfifferlingen hatte unglaublich viele Pfifferlinge drin, Pasta und Schnitzel war auch top. Die Portionen waren alle gut und groß. Preis Leistung Top.

Während unseres Urlaubs in Löffingen waren wir 2x hier essen und es hat uns außerordentlich gut geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Sehr ansprechend und mit einer tollen Geschichte! Bei der Durchreise ist uns schon das Gebäude aufgefallen. Der Name, die Aufmachung und Lage hat uns neugierig gemacht. Nach der Anmeldung wurde uns auf Wunsch ein Tisch auf der Terrasse zugewiesen und eine Bedienung war prompt zur Stelle. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und bietet leckere Speisen. Diese wurden frisch zubereitet und heiß serviert. Besonders ist das Rinderfilet mit Madagaskarpfeffer heraus gestochen. Das war bei uns am Tisch der absolute Favorit. Wir werden hier auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei schauen!

Wir verbringen des öfteren unsere Wochenenden auf dem Wohnmobilstellplatz in Eisenbach. Wenn wir Freitags nach fast 250 Kilometern hier ankommen, möchten wir nur noch bestellen. Letztes Wochenende haben wir dann geschaut, wer hier her liefert und schon wurden wir auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam. Also bestellt und auf die Lieferung gewartet, welche auch nich lange dauerte. Der Herr, welcher geliefert hat war sehr net und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr lecker und echt auf den Punkt. Dieses Wochenende sind wir wieder auf dem Stellplatz und haben am Freitag und auch am heutigen Samstag wieder bestellt. Wieder toller Lieferung und Essen war Top. Man muss auch mal erwähnen, dass die Speisen, bei welchen es geht, eingeschweißt geliefert werden . Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder bestellen. An das Team, macht weiter soooo👍🍕😋

Einfach nur Toll...Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe mit dem Motorrad da. Essen der Hammer ,Zimmer super Und on top eine super freundliche Familie als Betreiber. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel und haben am Abend im Restaurant gegessen. Wir haben einen Kurztripp gemacht. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer. Meine Tochter eins unterm Dach und wir eins unten mit Terrasse. Die Zimmer sind toll ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr angenehm. Das Essen im Restaurant war auch gut. Große Portionen und eine tolle Auswahl. Das Frühstück war in Form eines Buffet und es war eine ordentliche Auswahl. Kaffee gab es aus einem Vollautomaten. Man frühstückt im Restaurant, was ich sehr praktisch finde. Das Restaurant hat auch einen sehr schönen Biergarten, in dem wir am Abend gegessen hatten. Den Wellnessbereich habe ich nur kurz besichtigt. Es war sehr warm und für eine Nacht Aufenthalt zu wenig Zeit, diesen zu nutzen.
