We spent a wonderful evening. Everything was just right. Perfect service, delicious food, and a great location on the terrace. We highly recommend Restaurant Quack.

Super delicious food and very friendly service

We visited the Quark Restaurant on the mountain in Saarbrücken. It's located off the main road, very quiet, in a small castle with excellent, fine dining. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. Most importantly, the food and service were simply fantastic – for that, I give it five stars. Special praise goes to the chef, who personally came to our table to check if everything was okay. I found that very attentive and kind. I was particularly surprised and delighted by the combination of octopus with an Italian bratwurst, seafood, and a huge scampi – a completely new but very interesting combination for me. Equally remarkable was the Saarland specialty "Horische," served with roasted apricots – classy, ​​sophisticated, and highly recommended. In conclusion: Great service, outstanding food, creative combinations, and the best products. A toast to this chef – thank you very much!

This was our first time at Quack. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive and friendly. We had an outdoor table. We felt like we were on a mini-vacation. Everything was perfect. We would love to come back.

The food was truly excellent, and nicely presented. Unfortunately, the two female servers weren't very friendly or attentive. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant for the food.

The dishes are simply divine. The prices are sobering. The service is refreshing. The ambiance is "quite okay" (just too loud in there). I'll be back 100%, and when summer arrives, the terrace should be a great place. I'm waiting for summer 2025 😉

We were there for our wedding anniversary and had a three-course meal. Our waitress was friendly but didn't seem to be in the mood. When we asked for wine, she told us what kind of wine she wanted, and then she didn't tell us until after we had our main course. We asked for the menu, and then everyone rolled their eyes. The fish and salad appetizer would have been good if it hadn't been overpowered by onions. The main course was a complete disaster. Tafelspitz (roast beef) with spinach, potatoes, and horseradish. I had to send it back because I must have had a jar of horseradish on my plate. The spinach had no flavor at all. As a welcome from the kitchen, there was a tuna paste and pickled gherkins and small pearl onions, probably from a jar, and the tuna pâté wasn't any better. I paid €158.00 and I have to say, it wasn't even worth €40.00. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to it.

Absolutely amazing. From the very friendly service, to the aperitif and starters, to the main course and dessert. Super delicious and a very pleasant atmosphere.

We visited the Quack restaurant today and were very satisfied. The staff was attentive, absolutely friendly and accommodating. They completely responded to our needs. We ate very well and felt very comfortable B. and S.

When we checked the bill closely, we discovered that we had been overcharged for a bottle of wine and two cocktails that we didn't even drink.

All the dishes were excellent, and the portions were unusually large; the atmosphere was excellent; it was not exquisite or interesting, but it was definitely a perfect experience in home cooking. The dishes can be combined at will, and there is no need to be limited to a certain set of menus. But the rhythm of the set of menus was very good, and the appetizer bread and the gin mint sorbet in the middle made the whole process very compact and comfortable, but I was too full at the end.

The restaurant is located in a historic villa. It's very cozy yet modern. There are various set menus, but you can also order individual dishes. We really enjoyed it; the food was excellent and the service very friendly. They could have taken a little more time between courses; everything came quickly one after the other. Otherwise, it was great!

My family has been coming to Quack Restaurant regularly for over 10 years. We feel very comfortable there. The quality, ingenuity and masterful preparation of the food has been at a very high level for as long as I can remember. The service and expertise when it comes to wines are in no way inferior to the cuisine. The Quack restaurant doesn't have to hide from any star restaurant. We would therefore like to express our unreserved recommendation. We hope to be able to spend many more lovely evenings there.

“Food” without rating because no consumption took place. The service/customer treatment is evaluated. We wanted to book the “Wine Event Bar” for a wedding celebration (request for 15-20 people). Since we did not yet have all the information to calculate the costs and the promised wine list was only sent to us 4 days after the viewing, we were not yet able to make a binding booking. With the wine list (2:40 p.m.) we should give a short feedback/binding confirmation based on further inquiries by the evening. We responded at short notice with a further request for information and asked for an extension of this deadline until the following evening, on which we then agreed. After we hadn't received any response to our reservation request almost 2 days later, I asked them again. I was informed that the room had now been reserved for another, smaller (12+2 children) group. Our contact person would be ill (didn't get in touch afterwards or ask for understanding) and 20 people wouldn't fit in the room (quote from the website: "In our wine event bar you can comfortably and comfortably with up to 20 people celebrate in a private atmosphere.") ... There weren't enough cake sets either. We never settled on the number “20.” We were offered a place in the main restaurant and should come and take a look. If I had any questions about the new location, which we didn't yet know, I contacted the managing director again. But since she didn't have time, she wanted to contact us again the next few days. After she didn't manage to do this either, we went there a week later, looked at the room and talked to the daughter. Since she didn't know anything about the matter, she wrote everything down. She wanted to talk to our previous contacts, the managing mother and her partner, and get in touch again. Here too, and thus from the third (!) person, we have not heard anything more to this day. We still canceled.

There is nothing wrong with this restaurant, only the prices are extreme for Saarland standards.

There were ten of us and we had reserved a table in the beer garden (very nice atmosphere). The service was initially good. The aperitifs (ordered with or without alcohol) were bland, bland and relatively tasteless. The summer menu, which was ordered several times, was very good in terms of quality and taste, the “Black Forest cherry” dessert in a jam jar was too big, too fat, too rich. Beef fillets à la carte were au point, overall all dishes deserve a good rating. After we ordered a lot of water and very little wine due to the heat, this was acknowledged with a raised eyebrow from the service staff. For dessert, there is no question as to whether café, espresso or a digestif is desired, nor is there any question about other requests. When we looked at our total bill, we noticed that 3 beef fillets + starter salads were not listed, which we "complained" about and of course paid the "correct" and higher bill amount. Perhaps the question about an espresso “on the house” would have been appropriate - unfortunately none. Conclusion: food very good, atmosphere wonderful, service could be improved!

As expected, the menu and service met all expectations. The menu was very good (I had lamb and the fillet was fried to perfection - very tasty). The service was great, not too artificial but very nice and natural. Therefore 5 stars from us and we will be happy to be guests again.

We came to Saarbrücken from Frankfurt partly because of the Quack restaurant and it was absolutely worth it. The service is friendly, accommodating and everyone has fun. The food excellent! Among other things, we had the spring menu, 1x with the Saarbrücken vitello and onion roast and 1x with asparagus salad and salmon. Both 1A and simply recommended. Good food but too expensive. Price performance not quite ok. Service was very attentive and attentive. I visited the restaurant spontaneously with a friend while being in Saarbrücken. The menu (Klassik) was awesome, had a good variation of tastes and the style was good. Staff was very friendly. The time between the dishes was perfect and the price absolutely worth it. The restaurant definitely lived up to the Michelin recommendation. Loved it.

Der Küchenchef hat auch diesmal wahre Gaumenfreuden bereitet. Wir hatten die Vorspeisen-Etagere: von all den kleinen Köstlichkeiten haben mich die Merguez mit weißen Bohnen umgehauen - einfach genial. Auch das Salzkaramelleis war unglaublich köstlich. Das Restaurant war unter der Woche gut besucht und das aus gutem Grunde. Der Küchenchef versteht einfach sein Handwerk - beim Menü konnten alle Gerichte auch hohe Erwartungen voll erfüllen.

Nous y avons dejeuné aujourd'hui 14 septembre 2023. Avons mangé le bœuf à 39 euros. Avions demandé le bœuf rosé qui était servi sur un lit de purée, le sang coulait sur cette purée.. dégoûtant. Le bœuf était plus bouilli que rôti. Le gratin de macaronis, servi en accompagnement, était du béton. Très mauvaise expérience pour notre première dans ce restaurant. Désolées !! Nicole et Martine

Service 1 Ambiente 2 Essen 3 Der Service, wie bereits des öfteren von Gästen hier schon kritisiert, die besagte blonde Dame macht alles noch schlimmer als es eh schon ist. Keinerlei Ambitionen dem Gast das Gefühl von Willkommen und Glücklichsein zu vermitteln. Ganz geschweige von der fehlenden Kompetenz was Wein und Essen betrifft. Wenn Menschen solch eine Abneigung zu Ihrem Job dem Kunden spüren lassen, gleicht das schon einer dauerhaften Provokation dem Gast gegenüber. Kleiner Tipp noch dazu, die zweite männliche Servicekraft kann das Ruder rum reißen, nur leider nicht in Anwesenheit solch einer Kollegin. Ob sie die Junior Chefin ist, wie von Gästen hier erwähnt, weiß ich nicht aber eins weiß ich ganz sicher, unternehmerisch nicht tragbar. Das Ambiente, in das eh schon sehr kleine Restaurant wurden meines Erachtens zu viele Tische platziert, so daß auch noch an einem Bartresen mit Hockern Sitzplätze angeboten werden. Es gleicht somit einer lautstarken Ölsadine, in der problemlos auch bei meinem Nachbarteller mitessen könnte ohne mich dabei strecken zu müssen. Wenigsten weiß ich jetzt das auch meine Nachbarn das selbe Gesprächsthema, die besagte blonde Dame, hatten. Das Essen, schwierig und ganz ehrlich, ich verstehe die kulinarische Reise einfach nicht. Handwerklich durchwachsen, geschmacklich nicht gut bis stellenweise auch schlechter Qualität des Produkts. Wir ärgern uns über uns selbst, da wir uns die kritischen Kommentare vor ab nicht genug zu Herzen genommen haben.

Das Essen war von der Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch ein Traum. Sehr guter aufmerksamer Service und ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Wir würden sehr nett empfangen und zum Tisch geleitet. Das Feinschmeckermenü, war sehr schmackhaft und von den Portionsgröße sehr angenehm und die Weinbekleidung sehr schön. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend

Heute waren wir seit längerem mal wieder zu Gast in der Villa Weismüller. Das Essen war wie immer ein Traum, der Service hervorragend. Diesmal das erste mal mit Kind (13 Monate). Das komplette Team ist sehr sehr kinderlieb, uns wurde sofort ein Kinderstuhl gebracht, keine 10 Minuten nach unserer Bestellung hat der Mini schon seine Pommes mit Ketchup. Alles absolut top und jedesmal ein Genuss dort Gast zu sein!!!

Wir kommen seit 7 Jahren einmal im Jahr nach Saarbrücken, und gehen immer ins Quack....leider dieses Jahr zum letzten mal. Essen war gut...nicht überragend aber gut. Aber....die Dame im Service unterirdisch, das könnte auch der nette junge Mann nicht auffangen. Musik viel zu laut und unpassend, dazu eine Helligkeit wie unter Flutlicht! Die Renovierung ist ok, schön....aber das gemütliche ist weg, eben auch hausgemacht ( Licht, Musik). Naja...es war gut besucht, vielleicht spricht es andere mehr an, nicht zu letzt ein paar aus dem Milieu!

Wir waren gestern das erste mal seit dem Brand wieder im Quack essen. Es ist mit soviel liebe zum Detail und sehr sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, da kann man sich nur wohlfühlen . Essen gut, Service aber extrem schlecht. Unfreundlich, vergisst Bestellungen und mussten 1 Stunde auf den Hauptgang sowie 20 Minuten auf die bestellte Rechnung warten.

War dort vor einiger Zeit zum Essen eingeladen!! Ganz, ganz großes Kino!! Service top, Küche top!! Erlebnis pur und gerne jederzeit nochmal!! Eigentlich müsste es 10 Sterne plus geben 👋👋👋

Nach der Renovierung ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant. Das Essen passt aber leider überhaupt nicht zum Ambiente. Auf dem Austernteller hat z.B. wirklich nur die rohe Auster geschmeckt. Den Rest auf dem Teller habe ich kulinarische nicht verstanden. Preis Leistung stimmt aufgrund der schlechten Qualität der Gerichte leider überhaupt nicht, echt schade da das Ambiente echt nett ist. Nervig ist auch die zwei Klassengesellschft. Ich verstehe das Stammkunden eine besondere Betreuung erhalten aber der Gelegenheitsgast kommt so halt auch nicht wieder.

Hier versteht man sein Handwerk. Tolle Küche und freundlicher Service. Der Ausblick über Saarbrücken von dort ist auch sehr schön. Update von 07/2022 nach Renovierung: Die Umgestaltung des Hauses ist mehr als gelungen. Sehr modern und ansprechend. Update vom 08/2021 nach Brand: Auch die Kracherl Hütte auf dem Hof der Villa Weissmüller als Übergangslösung während der Renovierung ist absolut einen Besuch wert. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente und wie immer hervorragend gegessen.
