Nice restaurant with delicious food. There is not only Croatian food but also good Saarland dishes. Went there for lunch and was completely satisfied. The landlady is very nice and the chef knows his craft. We will come back.

In my opinion a rather average restaurant. We had reserved a table for my birthday. When we came in the door, we stood around in the hallway for 5 minutes as ordered and not picked up because there was no staff in sight. Then we were welcomed by the boss and shown to a table that had not been set. Unfortunately, she was probably very overwhelmed and stressed, as no other service was working. Our table was no longer set and we had to “help ourselves” at other tables. Drinks as well as starters and main courses took a long time to arrive. The taste of the food was okay, but not outstanding either. At times the meat tasted quite strongly of a greasy pan. The prices are still okay, but I wouldn't come back again.

The food was very tasty and there weren't long waiting times. The owners are courteous and nice. All prices are reasonable, especially the drinks are affordable, small drinks included when paying the bill.

Both the food and the service were impeccable at Ivica. My meat dish was super juicy and tenderly grilled and the side dishes were also perfectly seasoned. However, there was also salt, oil, etc. on the table in case some of it was needed. The panacotta at the end was basically the icing on the cake for the evening. We can only recommend the delicious food and the friendly staff and would be happy to come back 😊

We have been to Ivica several times and have eaten very, very tasty every time. Just today we had panna cotta with pomegranate for dessert. The super nice and warm-hearted innkeepers recently brought these pomegranates here from their own garden in Croatia. So delicious!!! Absolutely recommended!

Yes, they have moved, they have been on Talstrasse for 3 years. Ivica is a very warm host, and just as honest are his delicious meat and vegetable skewers and his wonderful home-made fries. Where else do you get a handshake as a newcomer? Makes you want to come back.

After arriving at the restaurant, you are warmly greeted by the always charming boss and assigned your seat (we had reserved by phone). We were there on a Saturday and it was busy, but drinks and food were served quickly. The food was fantastic, if you like grilled food you will get your money's worth here, but the spaghetti with prawns is also excellent. We've been there several times now and every time we've been absolutely thrilled. It always feels like a short vacation in Croatia where you can forget the stress of everyday life for a short time. At the end you get a schnapps on the house from the nice boss. I can fully recommend Ivica to everyone.

Sensational hospitality from the owners Ivica and Mare. Here you feel like you are on vacation. The lovingly designed terrace and the restaurant always invite us to linger. As we have done so often, we ate very well again. Whether lunch or dinner, dessert or drinks. Everything fits here. Excellent food at a reasonable price.

Whenever we feel homesick for Croatia we go here and enjoy the really good Croatian dishes. Croatian beer and of course Pipi, the best soda from Croatia. The boss and his wife are super nice and we always look forward to going there. But there is also very good German cuisine. A visit to Ivica is definitely worth it 🇭🇷❤️

Super tasty starter platter with Croatian cheese and ham, followed by a perfectly grilled pork skewer. Very nice boss who also recommended a really good rosé. It was fun, gladly again!

We have known the restaurant for a long time and always enjoy going there. The food is delicious and everything is always freshly prepared, much of it based on recipes from the homeland (Dalmatia) of the two owners, Ivica and his wife. Both are very friendly and you are served promptly without a long wait. Ivica and his wife are always available for a nice chat if time permits. The restaurant is very lovingly, authentically and comfortably furnished; when the weather is nice, you almost feel like you're on vacation on the outdoor terrace. There is a weekly changing lunch menu, some with typical Croatian dishes, but also with German and Saarland dishes. There is also usually a fish dish or a vegetarian dish. The regular menu is also very diverse. The price-performance ratio is completely okay; elsewhere you can often find less good food for the same money with relatively simple side dishes, which often involve pre-prepared frozen products. Not so at Ivica, where there are fresh hand-cut fries and fresh salad with hand-grated raw vegetables with a good, simple dressing. Vegetable side dishes are also freshly cooked from fresh produce. All in all, a visit to Ivica is worth it. Below you can see Dalmatian brudet (fish goulash), grilled pulp octopus, homemade gnocchi with fine tomato sauce (all from the lunch menu!) and cevapcici, all very tasty.

I had Dubrovnik meat platter. Everything was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend for someone who wants to try authentic Balkan food. And it is very nice that the owner of the restaurant comes out to meet you upon your arrival!

After we met the boss in the wholesale store, we really had to go for a bite to eat. Croatia is our second home. The cevapcici were better than in Croatia. The food is delicious. Friendly people. The weather was warm so we were able to sit outside. We will definitely be back.

We have been there several times now. The service is always friendly and really pleasant. Totally nice. And children are very welcome. We would recommend a reservation, just to be on the safe side. First of all: The food is amazing. It's really tasty across the board. If you like meat, you'll get your money's worth here. Everything fits there. Importantly, the meal doesn't just consist of filling side dishes; you should be quite hungry. For those who love meat - grilled - it is a paradise. What does the vegetarian faction find on the map? I have no idea, I didn't pay attention. But there's definitely something really good there too. No panic. Certainly. Recommendation: Go and try it out. I admit, I was skeptical at first because it is the successor to one of the best Italian restaurants in Saarbrücken. The bar was high. But it's a worthy successor in a completely different category.

This corner bar used to be called “Judgsklause”. Then there were Italian dishes there for a long time and now Croatian ones for a short time. Very nice hosts and a magnificent kitchen. Just try it out, even bravely, try everything - it's worth it. However, you should arrive with a good appetite because the dishes are not only delicious, but also generous in size.

The Croatian restaurant offers an authentic culinary experience that delighted us with its tender lamb peka under a cast iron bell - tender and full of flavor, like straight from Dalmatia. The warm hospitality of the staff rounded off the evening and made us feel like we were in Croatia. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Great ambience, delicious food and warm innkeepers 🥰 It was a lovely and cozy evening at “Ivica”. The starter was already a taste explosion. The walnut cake in a glass with the caramel ice cream rounded the whole thing off perfectly. It was my first time there and I will definitely come back. Hvala!

Were in Saarbrücken for a few days and discovered this restaurant by chance. I'm very excited, a piece of Dalmatia in the middle of Saarbrücken! The ambience, the food, the flair, the service, everything was super authentic down to the last detail and very tasty! All that was missing was the beach promenade. This is definitely worth a visit and we will definitely come here again. I can only recommend!

This is pure Croatia. The only thing missing was the sea in front of the door. Great hosts and the Peka was awesome. I've been sailing in Croatia for almost 30 years and have rarely had a Peka like this, actually never before. We were all just thrilled and will come back - no question. Thank you and see you soon!

Today there is only 1 star, waiting for 1 hour for food and then the boss's arguments because we didn't order the same dishes and the terrace is still full are not acceptable at all. Then it's better not to say anything...the nice waiter tried to pull it out. It remains to be seen whether we will come back 🤷‍♀️

I had dinner yesterday, pasticada with gnocchi, it was great. As always, everything is delicious and homemade. The pasticada is tender and juicy and the gnocchi is hand-rolled, simply delicious.

After reading the reviews, which were almost all positive, we decided on this restaurant, believing that everything will be top notch, as well as the prices. Total disappointment. Tomato soup too thick and burnt, bun dry and slightly browned, kebabs rubbery at all, skewers not cooked, grilled vegetables 5-6 pieces, rice dry and hard. And we waited almost an hour for the main course. There was only one waitress working and the restaurant was full. Basically, the quality of the food is zero and the prices are too high for the same. Very disappointing experience. Lp and all the best...
