I highly recommend the Weinhaus am Rhein. The food has always been excellent, and the location on the Rhine is fantastic. There's a lovely outdoor terrace, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

Yes, we were all very satisfied. Potato pancakes with chanterelle mushrooms, pork medallions, heaven and earth, etc. All dishes were served to our group very quickly and almost simultaneously. The food was delicious, and the drinks menu was also very extensive.

We visited the winery twice for lunch and received a very warm welcome. The wine list includes an extraordinary number of excellent regional wines, both by the glass and by the bottle. The menu is diverse, with rustic dishes, seasonal offerings, fish dishes, and vegetarian options making it difficult to choose. We tried and enjoyed chanterelle mushrooms with potato pancakes, Alsatian sausage salad, and the redfish. We haven't had the fried potatoes prepared this well in years. The redfish was also cooked to perfection. The service is very attentive and friendly. There's a lovely outdoor terrace and a great view of the Rhine.

What a wonderful place! We felt very comfortable and very welcome. The service staff is second to none. They put their heart and soul into their work. The same goes for the kitchen, with very good and high-quality food. We've never experienced drinks arriving at our table immediately after ordering, amazing! Hats off! Forty-five people were quickly served a delicious meal. The entire crew was friendly, prompt, and attentive. Everyone also enjoyed coffee and cake and began their journey home satisfied and happy. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Prices are reasonable. Good, home-style cooking. A seasonal menu is available occasionally. The culinary side could be improved. I would like more variety (weekly menu) and more creativity. Therefore, only 4 points for the food.

I'd like to add my review of the "Weinhaus am Rhein" restaurant in (Königswinter-) Niederdollendorf from our May 1st trip to Drachenfels. After visiting this very rock, we stopped by the Weinhaus am Rhein in the early afternoon without a reservation in beautiful summer weather. Due to the beautiful weather, all the tables outside were taken, but we were able to get in without any problems. After looking at the menu, we ordered the Arg. Angus rump steak (250g) with onions and herb butter (€27.80), the schnitzel topped with peach, cranberry, and cheese (€19.50), and, from the more rustic side, the Weinhaus pancake with fried potatoes, Mettwurst, bacon, onions, and a fried egg (€18.50). All dishes were served with a good side salad. The whole experience was accompanied by a tasty glass or two of wine, from which there are many to choose from on the menu. All the dishes we ordered were freshly prepared and delicious. I personally thought the steak was particularly good. Incidentally, the chef at the wine bar sometimes even approaches guests at their tables and asks if everything is okay. We were able to answer yes with a clear conscience 😉. With that in mind, we would definitely go back.

This is a very friendly and good value restaurant that we really enjoyed. This is possibly because we were escaping the excessive prices of the Petersberg hotel and were in search of some hearty German fare. We had delicious schnitzels with various sauces sitting overlooking the Rhine. The service was very efficient and friendly.

Yes, very good service. The food was excellent, a bit too much for us (surely due to age). The ambience was rustic and cozy and we felt comfortable. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside in the garden with a view of the Rhine, so all in all ok

It's good to sit and the fried potatoes were delicious. Unfortunately there is little veggie selection. Others in the group had fish that was unfortunately of very poor quality (probably frozen). Turkey schnitzel isn't particularly great either. Food-wise, no recommendation.

We took a relaxing bike break at the Weinhaus am Rhein. The service is quick and very attentive. The food is good but for a hefty Max with potato salad for €15.80 it's not cheap, or three potato pancakes with apple sauce for €14.90 and it has to be worth going out to eat.

Unfortunately, I don't get there as often as I'd like, but it always feels like coming home. We receive a very friendly welcome, the food has been consistently excellent for years, and the atmosphere is warming. The host always has a kind saying ready. I hope we can spend many more wonderful hours there 💖

Treffen mit 5 Freunden zum Gläschen Sekt und anschließendem Kaffee und Kuchen. Eine sehr nette Wirtin und eine sehr nette Bedienung versorgten uns. So konnten wir, insgesamt 6 Freunde, unser Wiedersehen nach Krankheit und Krankenhaus ab ca. 15.00 Uhr genießen. Um ca. 16.20 Uhr forderte uns der Wirt in einem sehr barschen Ton auf, noch etwas zu bestellen oder zu gehen. Meine Rechnung belief sich zu der Zeit auf rd. 80€. Bis auf einen weiteren Tisch waren alle! Tische im Restaurant unbesetzt! Dementsprechend haben wir keine Plätze blockiert. Meine Gäste und ich waren über diese „Ansage“ des Wirts entsetzt. Wir haben bezahlt und haben das Haus verlassen - die freundliche Wirtin war noch behilflich, den barrierefreien Ausgang zu finden. Ich habe mich geschämt, meine Freunde in dieses Haus eingeladen zu haben. Das war’s für uns 6 mit dem Weinhaus am Rhein in Niederdolllendorf.

We wanted something to eat in the late afternoon and didn't have a reservation. Although the restaurant was very full, two seats were arranged for us. Good wine recommendation, very quick, friendly staff, food was delicious. I would like to come back there at any time.

We visited the restaurant today in very nice sunny weather. We (2 people) just wanted to make a quick stop to have a coffee. The restaurant was quite busy and we were kindly assigned a table for 4 people. The staff is very friendly and nice. Even though it was very full, we got our coffees very quickly and the waffle was really good. Of course, I was also able to take a look at the other guests' schnitzel plates, which looked very appetizing and sumptuous. We took the business card with us and will definitely come here more often in the near future.

After a walk along the Rhine, we stopped here for dinner. Even without a reservation we received a friendly welcome. The service was friendly throughout the evening. The food came to the table quite quickly after ordering. There were good portions that tasted really good. Both the fish dish and the meat dish were very tasty. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

A very nice wine bar in Niederdollendorf located directly on the banks of the Rhine. So you always have a view of water. The staff was courteous and friendly. Gans ganz lecker. Empfehlenswert. Ausgesprochen freundlicher und zuvorkommender Inhaber und nettes gutes Personal. Dazu ein leckeres Essen und ein feines Gläschen Wein. Weinempfehlung vom Chef war Volltreffer. Mein Mann hat einen Pfälzer Teller gegessen und war auch begeistert. Schon im Sommer öfter dort gewesen. Waren immer sehr zufrieden. Schöner Weingarten direkt am Rhein.

Came here spontaneously on a Saturday evening. Even without a reservation, you can get a seat for two people within 5 minutes. Very friendly host and staff. Very attentive and professionally competent in recommending the right wine to go with the dish you ordered. The food is beautifully prepared and the portions are sufficient. Everything tastes very good. The quality of the ingredients are very good. Conclusion: Highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Best regards

Went there spontaneously with 9 people after a hike. Although there was obviously a registered celebration and despite notices of a lack of staff, outdoor tables were prepared for us quickly and easily. Both the waiter and the owner were very friendly and attentive and we laughed a lot. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. Great wine list. Overall, we can only recommend it, we will definitely come back when we are in the area again!

Very unfriendly waiter, we were sent away several times to get a seat later. Apparently there is no need to inform potential guests about how seats are allocated. If the food, drinks and the ambience are very nice, but the service and hospitality in the restaurant leaves something to be desired, then it is better to stop by somewhere where you are welcome.

We ate delicious waffles with vanilla ice cream, cream and warm cakes here. The service was very friendly and accommodating.

As a Godesberger, you have a hard time dealing with the sickness, but the visit was really worth it. Beautiful sunset, good food & drink and, above all, super nice service. Friendly, open and they had everything under control. When asked why part of the terrace was closed, the waiter replied that it was due to a lack of staff. There are almost 40,000 students in Bonn. Don't any of them want to work part-time?

We visited this beer garden in a fantastic location on the Rhine with a registered group of 40 people. The restaurant was well prepared, the order was requested the evening before our visit. On site, the stress-resistant staff clarified the orders again table by table, and the service ran almost smoothly. That was really fun! Particularly noteworthy is the extremely fast drinks service. Small suggestion for improvement: put mayo and ketchup on the tables right at the beginning - by the time we got the sauces, the fries were almost gone.

Apparently, in this case, the catering industry is not suffering enough to allow itself to treat guests in this way. We always wait for the waiter to assign us a seat and never sit down without being asked. This service person then explained to us, quite listlessly and from a distance, on a Monday August 24th, 2024 at 3 p.m. that two people were only allowed to sit at a table for two in the sun or crammed into the last corner and not at one of the ones around it At the time there were numerous unoccupied tables for four in the shade. Since that was out of the question for us, we were sent to a reserved area only to be asked by another service employee after 10 minutes of ignoring what we had lost in this area. The lady then seriously insisted that we should clear our table and move to a table for 4 (!) that was exactly 1m next to our table. The reservation was only for the evening. After this view of what would await us in terms of service and the high probability of being scared away by the first waiter, we preferred to wander into the wine bar in the Jesuiter Hof in the old town of Königswinter. There is a respectful approach to the guest and the wine and food are fantastic.

We had visitors and were with you today (8/26/24) at the Weinhaus am Rhein. It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and good drinks. But the absolute highlight was Heiko's service. Super nice and very attentive. Always my pleasure!!!

Yesterday I was in this restaurant with my wife. Even though the waiters had seen our arrival, no one even brought us a menu for the first 10 minutes. We ended up leaving without ever seeing the menu. The service is simply catastrophic. I don't understand why in a European country that is considered developed and whose residents claim to be highly civilized, there is total disregard for people in the service industry everywhere

Nice restaurant in a casual atmosphere. The great thing is that there is something for everyone. Beer garden, winter garden or indoor area. The food was very tasty, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Everything was right.

With a view of the Rhine you can eat and drink delicious food in peace and the service is very attentive and friendly. The adjacent pedestrian path invites you to take a walk along the Rhine and there is also a playground for the kids right next door.

We had dinner with a large group on Sunday. It was fantastic! Although the restaurant was packed, all requests were fulfilled promptly and charmingly - respect for our great waiter! The schnitzel with chanterelles was very tasty and arrived hot. This is great cinema!

The Weinhaus am Rhein is a beautifully located garden restaurant with a wonderful view of the Rhine. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The price/performance ratio is very good, the food is tasty and the wine list is very well stocked, especially with wines that are grown nearby. In addition, extremely friendly and attentive service. Overall, we felt very comfortable there and would love to come back.

In my case, unfortunately, I received the senior plate and didn't order it. Addendum#1 I was allowed to test it a second time: this time I couldn't manage the quantity! Lokal im vorbeifahren mit dem Fahrrad entdeckt. Ansprechender Winter- und Biergarten. Schöne Lage mit Blick auf dem Rhein. Hatte Spargel mit gekochtem Schinken bestellt. Spargel nicht richtig gar (mehr als al dente). Sauce hollandaise war eine Fertigsauce (habe leider nicht nach der "Standard-Sauce" gefragt, sonst hätte ich gleich zerlassene Butter bestellt). Gekochter Schinken wie Gummi (fertig geschnitten aus der Packung). Wirt aufgesetzt freundlich.
