Bredershof in Königswinter

Essen war gut. Beim Putensalat war die Pute so trocken gebraten, ich hätte es nicht gegessen. Meine Frau tickt da anders. Steak Medium war top. Mein Burger auch. Roast Beef war auf den Punkt. Man müsste Mal die Planen reinigen. Es war im Ganzen ein guter Aufenthalt. 5 Sterne kann ich nicht geben, aber da hat nicht viel gefehlt. Würde da wieder hin.

Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen. Ich war gerne hier.

Wir haben am 06.06.26 unsere Hochzeit im Bredershof gefeiert und waren einfach nur glücklich! Zuerst hatten wir unsere Freie Trauung im Hof mit anschließender Party im Gewölbekeller..Es war Traumhaft… Die Location, das Personal und auch Herr Dix einfach nur toll! Restaurant in historischem Gebäude; sehr schön gestaltet. Freundliche Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen.

Service und das Essen waren super. Ein Gründe eines erneuten Besuches. Schöner und großer Biergarten vorhanden.

Beide probierte Gerichte waren gut. Auch mit dem Wein hatten wir großes Glück. Das Personal war sehr freundlich aber merklich unterbesetzt. Draußen herrschte lockere Biergartenatmosphäre. Leider waren zwei von vier Tischen neben uns mit kettenrauchenden Boomern besetzt, was uns den Genuss des Essens nicht gerade leicht gemacht hat. Man sollte Raucher irgendwie absentieren.

Wir sind Donnerstag spontan im Bredershof eingekehrt. Sehr schöne und gemütliche Ambiente, Schnitzel und Schweinefilet waren sehr gut 👍 Der Service war klasse, top! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Gehen im Sommer gerne hier mal in den Biergarten, wenn die Sommerküche geöffnet ist . Letzte Woche war diese noch nicht geöffnet also haben wir einen Flammkuchen aus dem Restaurant gegessen. Die Bestellaufnahme war sehr freundlich. Leider war der Flammkuchen absolut trocken. Der Schinken war lecker aber er war einfach zu lange drin. Leider wurden wir auch nicht mehr bedient, sodass wir kein Essen reklamieren konnten, zum Zahlen mussten wir reingehen. Daher leider eine entsprechend enttäuschende Erfahrung.

Auch die passende Weinauswahl war perfekt. Die Servicekräfte haben uns stets sehr aufmerksam, herzlich umsorgt und uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Wir haben die Kommunion unserer Kinder im Bredershof gefeiert und sind restlos begeistert. Von der ersten Planung an lief alles professionell und herzlich ab. Kulinarik: Das Essen war fantastisch! Besonders die Vorspeisenplatte und die Bandnudeln mit Kräutersaitlingen sind ein Muss – handwerklich top und geschmacklich hervorragend. Service & Ambiente: Das Team ist eingespielt, aufmerksam und hat uns einen unvergesslichen Tag ermöglicht. Unsere Gäste und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Vielen Dank für die tolle Ausrichtung! Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

10/5 Punkten! Drei Tage waren wir in Königswinter, zwei Abende davon kehrten wir im Bredersdorf ein. Wir saßen im Biergarten; ein tolles Ambiente, liebevoll dekorierte Tische mit Kissen und Decken auf den Stühlen, luden ein zum hinsetzen und verweilen.🫠 An beiden Abenden wurden wir wirklich toll bedient; höflich, fröhlich, zuvorkommend, witzig und passend.🙂‍↕️ Unser Essen ( danke nochmal für die Zubereitung meines Extrawunsches - Bratkartoffeln mit Spiegelei und Salat) sah gut aus und schmeckte prima. Die Weinkarte lud zum Wiederkommen ein. 🪉Mein Favorit war die liebliche Scheurebe. Hätten wir Platz auf dem Motorrad gehabt, wären bestimmt ein, zwei Flaschen mit nach Hause gekommen. 🫢 Danke euch für zwei schöne Abende, leckeres Essen, feine Weine und gute Unterhaltung. ✌🏻

Richtig tolles und uriges Restaurant. Das Essen mega lecker (Sauerbraten, Rotkohl, Klöße & Fisch). Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Einen kleinen Abzug beim Ambiente. Das ist schon älter und für unseren Geschmack zu dunkel und wirkt dadurch eher kühl. Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder

Rund 90 Minuten Wartezeit für Essen (ohne vorherige Hinweise) ist deutlich zu viel. Essen war für den Preis durchschnittlich. Räumlichkeiten sehr eng, minimal laut und vielleicht etwas warm bzw. schlecht belüftet.

Der Bredershof in Königswinter, ist ein sehr zu empfehlendes Restaurant. Tolles Ambiente und super leckers essen. Sehr große Auswahl an regionalen und typisch Rheinischen Weinen. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Ich habe fuer 6 personnen am abend fuer meine 70 geburstag reserviert . Ich habe eine angenehme zeit verbracht . Die poulardebrust war spitze . 520 kms von paris waren waren nicht zu viel. Mfg

Tolles Essen, aber organisatorisches Desaster am Hochzeitstag. ​Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Bredershof gefeiert. Das Essen und der Service vor Ort waren wirklich super, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Allerdings folgte am späten Nachmittag der Schock: Um 17:30 Uhr wurden wir aufgefordert, den Raum zu verlassen, da eine andere Gesellschaft reserviert hatte. ​Weder bei der Buchung noch im Mailverkehr oder beim persönlichen Vorgespräch wurde mit einem Wort erwähnt, dass wir den Raum nach wenigen Stunden räumen müssen. Die Kellnerin forderte uns schließlich auf, „langsam zu gehen“, da neu eingedeckt werden müsse. Wir waren fassungslos, traurig und es war uns unseren Gästen gegenüber unendlich peinlich. Der Chef räumte auf Nachfrage lediglich ein, er habe vergessen, uns das bei der Buchung zu sagen. Dass unser Hochzeitstag so enden musste, ist extrem enttäuschend. Für Hochzeiten absolut nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man Planungssicherheit möchte.

Kann leider nicht volle punktzahl geben..Sauerbraten war wo zäh..hatte mich so drauf gefreut..Dafür der Nachtich sehr lecker..Und nach dem 2 .Getränk kam kein Kellner mehr...ansonsten sehr gemütliche Ambiente.

The ambiance at Bredershof is truly lovely. The service was very friendly and professional. However, the food just wasn't to my taste. I don't mean it was poor quality, but it simply didn't suit my palate. And that's what really matters when dining out. It's not my kind of place.

We ordered sauerbraten and roast goose for ourselves today. They accommodated our request to serve the goose as a "bandit's plate" for my friend and her daughter with incredibly friendly service. Thank you so much for that; it's not something you can take for granted. We all enjoyed it very much. We'll definitely be back.

A small but excellent menu. The food was generally excellent, but the missing fries and fried potatoes, which were served later, unfortunately had been passed the salt shaker too often in the kitchen. Hence only 4 stars.

Very nice ambience in an old manor house, great beer garden

We had a fantastic Sauerbraten. It tasted like mom's. Yes, it costs more than €10, but it's worth it. All the other dishes at the table were also delicious. We'll be back.

The food was edible, but not particularly good or good value for money. The venison goulash was very dry. It was very filling, and the wine was okay.

We went there yesterday with a group of 12 people for dinner. Apparently, the manager was too loud for us and asked one of us to leave. Unfortunately, some had already ordered, otherwise we would all have stood up. Hiking groups are apparently not welcome here. We won't be visiting the restaurant again. Positive: The food was good and the service was friendly.

I was there with my colleague in a wheelchair on October 14 and 17, 2025, so it was wheelchair accessible. Excellent food and superb service in a wonderful atmosphere. Awarded 5 stars in all categories for the first time. We'd be happy to return. Jörg Simon

We were there as a group (15 people) with a reservation. We were given three main courses to choose from. For starters, we were served baguettes with dips (refilled without asking). The food was served practically to everyone at the same time (those who had pre-ordered plus latecomers). The service, drinks, and food were all very good. Highly recommended!

We ate there with a larger group. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't that good. The portions were relatively small for the high prices. If that had been all there was to it, we could have overlooked it. Three people ordered the steak for €32, medium. Unfortunately, two of the three steaks were cooked all the way through. After complaining, we received two new steaks about 25 minutes later (the restaurant was quiet!). By then, the other people at the table had finished eating. The steaks that were delivered were unfortunately more medium-done than medium. They were also tough… which was more than annoying. The side dishes were also just a few chunks of frozen Kaisergemüse and a few slices of fried potatoes. Not acceptable for €32. Two points for the attentive staff and the beautiful courtyard. Too bad, we won't be coming back.

We spent three days on holiday in Königswinter. A highlight was this restaurant, which we discovered by chance. A wonderful beer garden, delicious grilled food, tasty white wine, and very friendly, attentive staff. A truly wonderful atmosphere!

We've visited the Bredershof from time to time. They serve decent food at reasonable prices. For our second wedding anniversary, we spontaneously decided to ask if there was a free table in the restaurant. Although it was busy, with a few guests even sitting down in the large beer garden, we were lucky and got a free table. The waitress quickly prepared the table for us and then brought us the menus, instructing us to be back in a few minutes. After we had chosen our meal and wine, "Rita" took our order. We've never encountered a waitress like "Rita" before; she was extremely attentive and customer-oriented. We were very impressed by her friendly manner, her tips, and her help with choosing dishes, without being intrusive or annoying—quite the opposite: always spot on. The Bredershof is lucky to have such a good waitress; we will definitely visit the Bredershof more often. Good food, good wine, and simply fantastic service. See you soon, and best regards, "Rita"

As a small compensation, they offered a shot of schnapps on the house, which we appreciated.

While visiting our friend in Bonn, she invited us to dinner at the Bredershof. The ambiance and food were excellent. I highly recommend this inn.

We were there at 5 p.m. and still waited 1.5 hours for the main course. Unfortunately, wine was not refilled or drinks were taken again. After a very long wait, the food was unfortunately inedible. The baked potato was not cooked inside and had no described mushrooms or quark. Just turkey in curry on top and a salad. Everything completely unseasoned. Once returned, the food was kept in the kitchen because it would take too long to re-prepare. In the end I had nothing. (Thank God I didn't have to pay either) The fish medallions were a whole, huge piece that was still frozen inside and wasn't really seasoned either. You just couldn't eat it. The potato gratin that we ordered wasn't there either. Instead it was potato wedges. The Wiener Schnitzel was as thick as a pork schnitzel and the fries were also unseasoned. Cranberries were also missing. In the end we paid over €180 for everything, even though no one was full. Really extremely annoying. I knew the restaurant from my childhood and the location is still beautiful. The service was also very friendly. Especially outside at the grill. With such good conditions, the height of the fall is somehow even greater. Unfortunately I can only give two stars because of the kitchen. Let's hope it was an exception. I would come back any time for a drink in the courtyard.

A beautiful beer garden with good, home-style cooking. The beer garden is easily accessible from the back and is quietly located at the rear of the Bredershof. The staff was very friendly, and the service was prompt and efficient.

The Bredershof goes back to a free farm from the 17th century, which belonged to the Junkers of the von Breder family, and is assigned to the Franconian farm type. Breder or Bredder is a name that was first mentioned in documents in the 16th century. The Bredershof was one of the six free courts that sent a jury to the so-called Markgedinge of the Niederdollendorf parish.

The Bredershof, with its historic building and beautiful outdoor area, invites you to visit and linger. The service and prices are reasonable, and parking is available.

I've been there twice now. Since the weather was inviting, I ate in the beer garden both times, which is very nice. They have a separate bar and kitchen for the beer garden, both located outside. The service is very good; the staff are friendly, courteous, and seem very professional. Wine advice is available upon request. The wine is served in pre-chilled glasses. If you order a bottle, you'll receive a champagne cooler filled with water and ice cubes at your table or, if necessary, next to it (to save space when the table is full). The food selection is slightly smaller than inside. I had a burger on my first visit and a steak on my second visit. The burger could have been a bit better; the buns could have been a bit browned on the cut surface, and I didn't like the consistency or flavor of the burger sauce at all. My girlfriend had redfish fillet with potato salad. The fish was fried and cooked to perfection. The potato salad was very tasty and felt like homemade potato salad. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare for me and medium for my girlfriend), but unfortunately a bit too cold (which was also easily noticeable from the herb butter not melting). However, the plates were warmed. The French fries were rustically cut but very good. Otherwise, salt and pepper shakers on the tables would have been nice. All in all, though, it's definitely a great place.

Sehr schönes Lokal, welches im Laufe der Jahre sehr heruntergekommen ist. Schlechter Service, schlechtes Essen. Käsewürfel aus altem Käse, lieblos angerichtet, sodass einem der Appetit vergeht, zum sensationellen Preis von 10,00€. Der Inhaber sollte, anstatt Wein zu trinken, mal Hand anlegen, sonst wird er das Lokal nicht mehr lange haben. Sehr, sehr schade um dieses schöne alte Lokal.

Das Ambiente ist toll, wir wurden super bedient und das Essen war Spitze! Diesmal aus geschäftlichem Anlass dort im Hof gegessen - alles stimmte: Der Calmar war sehr sehr lecker, die Fischplatte Bredershof absolut top! Lob vom Geschäftspartner: Das hatte er nicht mal am Lago Maggiore bekommen! Die Weinauswahl top von Oberdollendorfer Scheurebe bis Südpfälzer Grauburgunder, die alte Marille zum Abschluss klasse. Hat alles rundum gepasst und wir werden bald wieder einkehren. Danke an den Gastgeber und die Bedienung für die schönen Geschichten!

Wir waren in Restaurantbereich draußen. Der Service war bemüht und recht freundlich. Das Essen war leider überhaupt nichts. Ich hatte Tagliatelle mit zweierlei Spargel. Eine miesere Pasta habe ich fast noch nie gegessen. Fad eingekochte Sahne ohne Gewürze, die Nudeln weich, der Spargel matsche. Meine Frau hatte den Calmar, der war auch völlig fad. Meine Eltern hatten in der Vergangenheit auch schon schlechte Erfahrungen. Nicht wieder.

Wir haben gestern einen wunderbaren Abend im Biergarten des Brederhofes verbracht. Das Essen war sehr gut und schmackhaft. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die Servicekraft Greta, die uns rundum schnel und sehr freundlich versorgt hat. Da blieb kein Wunsch offen!

A must for wine connoisseurs and for friends of taste joy

I celebrated my 70th birthday here in the vaulted cellar of the Bredershof. Both my family and all the guests were thrilled with the location. In particular, the food and the service, which was very friendly and unobtrusive, were particularly praised. I particularly liked the uncomplicated and always friendly preparation and consultation with Mr. Dix in advance. I personally found the price-performance ratio to be very fair given the quality and performance offered. Especially because no hall rental fee, which is otherwise often required, was required and no advance payment was required. Everything went perfectly and that's why I can only recommend the Bredershof without reservation.

The location is just beautiful, inside and out. Quite an extensive wine list with affordable wines from the region. The food, however, is ambivalent. So you can move with confidence in terms of price. The size of my portion of black medallions was rather manageable. The meat was too dry anyway. Service was ok and sufficiently friendly, but not exceptional. With good will still 4*. But the kitchen should be careful, it is certainly not a flagship at the moment.

Nach einer kurzen Wanderung, sind wir eingekehrt und haben sehr gut gegessen, der Sevice war aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Ein sehr schöner Abend.

Wir feierten hier unseren 120.Geburtstag mit 90 Freunden und waren zu 100 % zufrieden. Die Location im urigigen Gewölbekeller war top geschmückt. Das Essen sensationell gut und der Service ließ keine Wünsche übrig. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnist ist voll in Ordnung.

Ja sicher. Wenn ein Event gefeiert wird und neben dem normalen Tagesgeschäft auch eine größere Gruppe feiert, kann es schon mal etwas dauern mit dem Essen. Das ist aber normal und nachvollziehbar. Die Karte ist ausgewogen aber tendenziell deftig und nicht zu groß - was ja in der Regel ein gutes Zeichen ist. Ob Gans, Hirschgulasch mit Spätzle oder das Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln - das Fleisch war jeweils saftig, nicht zu trocken und auch nicht zäh. Lecker eben. Wir kommen gern hier her. Und das schon ein paar Jahre.

An all-round successful evening at the Bredershof!

The perfect winter wedding! We celebrated our wedding at Bredershof in December and are still absolutely thrilled to this day. We started at the Rebenhof with a mulled wine reception including a flying snack in the form of soup in small bread cups. Afterwards we moved to the adjoining vaulted cellar with our approx. 80 guests. What awaited us was a wonderful atmosphere, a very tasty and varied buffet as well as very friendly and attentive service staff. We had an unforgettable day and the subsequent party didn't end until early dawn. Regarding the organization: Right from the start we had the feeling that we could rely on Kai Dix and his team at all times. The entire organization and exchange was very uncomplicated and routine. We also had a free hand with decoration, DJ, technology, etc. and the clear price structure, with no hidden costs, convinced us. Didn't eat or drink well. Seat in an uncomfortable side room. Service not particularly good either. Disappointing.

Very tasty food! We had to wait a little for the food, but as full as it was, it was absolutely reasonable. The portion sizes definitely fill you up.
