The food was too special for me, and at €6.50 for a French fry, it was too expensive. Service was overwhelmed because I think the manager had no idea what to do. Waited 30 minutes for service and drinks.

Chapeau! We (10 people) spent a wonderful evening at the inn on the Mount of Olives. Thank you for the attentive service and the excellent food, which was of a high standard. The inn is highly recommended! Reserving a table is recommended! The view is sensational 👍

We were completely satisfied. The food was fantastic, the view was magnificent, and the service was friendly, even though we were almost an hour late. Google completely misled us (but unfortunately, it didn't respond to complaints from the restaurant and the Ittenbach residents). I should have checked the website beforehand! We can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

In any case – fantastic views and a friendly server. Due to a birthday party taking place at the same time, business was somewhat slowed down and the service was understaffed, but that didn't dampen our spirits. Delicious food.

Unfortunately, a very hurtful experience, and in a place where you're supposed to feel welcome. I was with a hiking group at a restaurant after a beautiful day. The joy didn't last long, however: As a trans woman, I was openly and clearly addressed as "Sir" when ordering my drink, even though I had previously been in direct conversation with the waitress and introduced myself as a lady. Respectful treatment looks different, as this was obviously a deliberate insult! The lady had already been very short-spoken, and friendliness wasn't her thing, in general. When I calmly and directly addressed the incident, the waitress initially responded with a condescending "Oh, isn't that right?", which only made the whole thing worse. Only after my much sharper feedback did she offer an apology, which I was willing to accept at the time. But unfortunately, her later "second apology" also seemed more like a performance of duty, lacking any real insight or compassion. I'm not writing this out of resentment, but because such experiences simply can't happen again in 2025. Respect shouldn't be the exception, but the norm, especially towards marginalized groups. It's a shame that this place is no longer one I'd like to return to.

The food is good and fairly priced. The real highlight, however, is the terrace with its magnificent view of the Siebengebirge and the Rhine Valley. A must for every hiker!

The view and the ambiance are beautiful, but the service doesn't live up to it. We "just sat down" and were promptly yelled at by the waitress. They said you couldn't do whatever you wanted; everyone worked according to their own rules. To be honest, I didn't expect that in a beer garden-like atmosphere; it wasn't immediately apparent as a guest. Certainly, that's no reason to be immediately rude. Other guests were also yelled at. Additionally, the waitress went to other tables and loudly criticized other guests with them. We certainly won't be coming back here; I wouldn't want to spend my free time like that.

Well, actually a nice place. The fireplace room inside looks very nice and is lovingly decorated. But on weekends, people seem to come here more often for a break during a hike. And they want to sit outside in nice weather. And that's where it gets difficult: There's a sign saying you have to wait and be assigned a table. Unfortunately, none of the waiters seem to feel responsible for this. At least some of them don't. It gets unpleasant when you have to wait two hours for the soup of the day and one hour for fries. That's clearly the fault of the organization. Appreciative feedback is brusquely rejected and subject to persistent commentary. Hospitality and service orientation look different to me overall. Sorry that as a tourist restaurant, you have to meet different expectations than in fine dining. Paying exclusively by card is generally okay, but it's not necessarily obvious at first, and on the other hand, digitalization isn't fully implemented. Dear family running the restaurant: take the feedback here seriously and don't think you're right about everything. Would do your gem more justice...

The location and the view are truly beautiful—that's definitely the restaurant's biggest plus point. Unfortunately, several things didn't impress us during our visit. The coffee we ordered was listed on the menu as €3, but we were ultimately charged €6, with the explanation that it was a "pot." In fact, it was only a cup of about 200 ml, which doesn't justify the extra charge. Furthermore, there's no choice of seating. Although almost everything outside was empty, we had to wait about ten minutes before being seated. Cake also wasn't available before 2 p.m., which unfortunately wasn't indicated on the menu. Overall, we waited a very long time for our order and later for the bill. Unfortunately, the beautiful view alone isn't enough to give us a positive overall rating. Value for money and service urgently need to be improved.

We waited for 10 minutes in vain for a waiter to show us a table. Since no one came, we simply sat down at a free table ourselves. A few minutes later, a waitress approached us and very rudely asked us to leave. She claimed all the tables were reserved and didn't even give us the option of sitting inside. A beautiful day trip destination! A very exclusive location with panoramic views of the Rhineland landscape. Parking is available at the foot of the mountain. The walk up isn't very time-consuming, making it a great destination for families with children.

It's annoying that you have to wait to be assigned a seat. Even worse, and this is unfortunately becoming more and more common, is that you can only pay by card! The decision about how you want to pay is taken away from you. This is pure disempowerment and discrimination. And all because it's easier for the stores than using cash. I want to continue to decide for myself how I pay in the future. I can do without stores like this. Once and never again.

The service is abysmal. They were unable to bring sugar for coffee to the table for 20 minutes. I then searched the restaurant in vain for staff and fetched a sugar shaker from a set table.

A perfect prelude to slowing down. Who needs croissants when you can enjoy the aroma of overwhelmed waiters and the wonderfully concise "table by table" explanations? The service staff, apparently part of a sociological field experiment in stress management, shone with authentic honesty – including openly complaining about the number of guests right next to the serving cart. And the breakfast itself? Quite tasty – when you finally get it. The price is a statement: quality has its price, patience has its value. A particular highlight, however, is the way the restaurant handles criticism. Anyone who dares to publicly state the reality – perhaps in the form of a politely worded, factually accurate review – quickly learns the hotel's uncompromising approach: deletion instead of a learning curve! The love of truth doesn't end with the coffee here, but with the operator at the very latest. Conclusion: A must for anyone seeking something special – somewhere between panorama, pedagogy, and staff shortages. Anyone who makes it to the coffee has experienced more than just breakfast: a lesson in humility, humor, and timeless German gastronomic romance. Please only think about criticism internally – or have it deleted immediately.

I'm very disappointed! I was forced to pay by card, even though I hadn't been informed beforehand. We only had regular cash! Other visitors were forced to pay by card for us and received our money from the waiter. We're very surprised that you can no longer pay with regular payment methods in the middle of the forest. The view is good, the food is expensive, and the wait is long. A very large dog on a leash in the entrance area did its very large business right in the middle of the path. It wasn't cleaned up even after an hour. What a shame! Best location, and then something like this!

A group of 10 of us had breakfast at the Gasthaus Oelberg – and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was of very high quality, freshly prepared, and truly delicious. The selection met all our expectations. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome. Families with children and dog owners are also in good hands here; everyone received a warm welcome. A highly recommended place for a relaxed breakfast in a comfortable atmosphere. We would love to come back!

We came here for breakfast with eight adults and two children. The food was of excellent quality, and the selection was huge. There were fresh rolls, no pre-baked items, great cold cuts, cheese, fish, fruit, and some raw vegetables. The scrambled eggs were obviously made with fresh eggs. The service was very friendly, and we got everything we needed. The magnificent view rounded off this wonderful breakfast.

The food was very good. The staff was super friendly and apologized in advance that it might take a while, as we arrived without a reservation. Unfortunately, because we waited a few minutes, we exceeded our parking time at the "Am dicken Stein" parking lot, and ended up paying a €29.90 fine. So, to anyone who wants to go to the restaurant, avoid the parking lot and enjoy the delicious food.

We were there for breakfast at 10:00 a.m. – along with at least 50 other guests, all of whom also arrived at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes for our breakfast. When we asked the visibly stressed staff, we received the curt reply that they were served "table by table" – patience was required. As we walked by, we could also hear the only two waiters complaining about the rush of guests—a clear sign of a lack of organization and understaffing. At least the breakfast was good, but priced on the higher end.

The slightly dated, charming inn offers spectacular panoramic views of the Rhine Valley and the entire Siebengebirge mountains. The service is entertaining and very attentive. What was truly unusual, at least on this day, was the extremely long wait for lunch (approximately two hours). The dishes themselves were excellent and plentiful.

We were up here for the first time through a friend. The view (table caught on the railing) is simply magnificent and hard to beat, especially in weather like we had, 22 degrees and sunny. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Since we wanted to go further that day, we just wanted something to drink. Unfortunately, what was sold to us as cappucino and chocolate for a hefty price was simply cheeky. That was all, but neither a cappucino nor a chocolate, even the best frother won't help. The operator should go to the monastery ruins in Mariental, where you can get a cup of chocolate where you can also say cup. However, the food around us looked delicious and plentiful.

Were just upstairs at the restaurant. Unfortunately we were completely ignored by the waiter several times. On top of that, we heard a conversation from him in which he explained that the people who had reserved a table always had priority and the others had to wait because they would only have a quick drink and then leave straight away. Furthermore, not only were we without service (even waiters) but several of us also left. Absolutely an impossibility for me and my husband. Of course, when it's full it can take a while, I completely understand, after all we all only have two hands, but this behavior isn't possible!

Park your car in the parking lot and then walk uphill for 15 minutes through a beautiful forest. This morning we had breakfast in the Gasthaus when we arrived, but we received a very friendly welcome. The children even received chocolate for Easter. A really beautiful place and a very sweet dog too!

Leider ist das Gasthaus für Raucher nicht mehr empfehlenswert, da es den Anti-Raucher-Taliban zum Opfer gefallen ist und jetzt auch im Außenbereich das Rauchen untersagt. In den vergangenen Jahren habe ich im Sommer oft und gerne dort gegessen, auch wenn Qualität von Essen und Service manchmal "etwas klemmten" - aber das ist nun leider vorbei, denn dort, wo ich nicht willkommen bin, lasse ich auch kein Geld mehr. (Apropos - Bargeld mag man dort leider auch nicht mehr, und ich mag keine anderen Zahlungsmittel im Wald mit mir 'rumschleppen/verlieren.) Die Betreiber möchte ich bitten, zu überlegen, ob sie lieber den paar extremen Anti-Rauchern entgegen kommen möchten oder vielleicht doch der nicht gerade kleinen Zahl von Genuss-Rauchern wieder eine Möglichkeit zum Aufenthalt geben wollen. Und die anderen Raucher bitte ich, ebenfalls "mit den Füßen abzustimmen", denn die Anti-Raucher-Taliban lassen sich sonst immer weitere Drangsalierungen einfallen.

I can't judge the food... but the cappuccino and cocoa were really incredibly bad. But the view is great.

Wir sind bei strahlendem Sonnenschein nach einer Wanderung hier mit Reservierung zum frühen Abendessen eingekehrt. Der Ausblick ist genial, muss auch bei den Speisen mitbezahlt werden, was in Ordnung ist. Einem muss aufgrund der Location jedoch klar sein, dass immer sich immer wieder Personen an den Tischen vorbei drängen, um Fotos von dem Panorama zu machen, das kann natürlich nerven. Wir hatten mit unserem Kellner echt Pech, von daher ist der Service wirklich ausbaufähig. Getränke wurden mehrfach vergessen, und wir warteten ca. 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen, dies jedoch ohne Vor- oder auch Nachspeise. Die Getränke waren warm, sowohl das Bier als auch die Schorle, und das bei ca. 24 Grad. Die Gerichte waren von der Qualität in Ordnung und auch schmackhaft. Alles in allem war der Besuch leider nur befriedigend, die Aussicht ist zwar genial, der Service allerdings war sehr enttäuschend.

Ich war vor Kurzem mit Noah im Gasthaus auf dem Oelberg – und was soll ich sagen? Es war einfach fantastisch! Schon die atemberaubende Aussicht über das Siebengebirge und den Rhein hat uns beeindruckt, aber das wahre Highlight war der Service. Unsere Kellnerin war einfach großartig! Sie sollte eine Gehaltserhöhung bekommen. Mit einem strahlenden Lächeln hat sie uns sofort das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein. Sie war nicht nur unglaublich aufmerksam und freundlich, sondern hatte auch eine herrlich charmante Art, die den gesamten Besuch noch schöner gemacht hat. Sie wusste genau, welche Spezialitäten sie empfehlen konnte, und hat uns mit ihrer herzlichen Art direkt begeistert. Das Essen war hervorragend – bodenständig, lecker und perfekt für eine gemütliche Einkehr nach einer Wanderung. Die hausgemachten Kuchen und der duftende Kaffee waren der perfekte Abschluss eines wunderbaren Nachmittags. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Service und die Gastfreundschaft! Wir kommen definitiv wieder – und hoffen, wieder von dieser tollen Kellnerin bedient zu werden. 😊

A good place to stop after a short hike on the Oelberg. However, you should plan enough time when the weather is good and on the weekend.

Nach der Wanderung hatten wir uns ein Mittagessen verdient und haben uns für dieses Lokal mit herrlicher Aussicht auf das Rheintal entschieden. Meine Rehschulter mit 4 Scheiben Fleisch sowie Beilage und Soße war ein Gedicht! Die Bedienung war freundlich, obwohl es erst ihre ersten Stunden dort waren. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Unter Umständen ist eine Reservierung angebracht. Probieren Sie es aus. Personen mit Gehhilfen schien mir nicht möglich, da das Lokal auf einer Bergspitze positioniert ist. Erkundigen Sie sich aber.

Wir sind seit über 40 Jahren immer wieder gerne auf dem Ölberg, egal ob Frühstück, Mittagessen, Kaffee und Kuchen oder Abendessen. Heute noch einmal zum Mittagessen mit Wildhauptgericht. Traumhaft. Die rehschulter war Spitze, Gemüsebeilage und Soße waren sehr gut. Preis - Leistung passten. Wer hier kein Wild isst, hat etwas verpasst.

Great ambience, a fantastic terrace, but: we had to wait almost 90 minutes for our “food”. And that was a disaster. We had venison leg once and hare leg once. When a gravy boat with the sauce was handed over, when asked, it was said that it was for both dishes. That says everything. Steamed peppers were served with it! At least this one was recognizable in terms of taste. Otherwise everything is the same. Schnitzel with fries might work. It takes about a 20-minute walk uphill to reach the restaurant, which is beautiful in itself.

We had dinner with our team yesterday. Overall, the menu offered was very rich and very delicate. It was my first time trying wild game and I have to say it was very, very tasty! I have personally found a new restaurant where I would love to come back again in my private life! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice view over the Rhine and we will definitely give it another chance. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed and quite rude. After an employee allowed us to sit on the upper (and MUCH more comfortable) floor upon request, the waitress there treated us so condescendingly and unfriendly that we were sure we would no longer receive the food we ordered. Accordingly, we preferred to leave. In spring there will be a second, but also last, chance...

Ms. Prinz and her team really do a wonderful job! She takes great care of every guest, the cuisine is always consistently good with a focus on game dishes and the view from the terrace over the entire Siebengebirge all the way to Bonn is really a dream...a clear recommendation!

Coffee machine broken! Limited cakes! And then the boss indirectly asked us to leave in front of the guests because of lack of space and apparently insufficient orders.

As always, the food was very good, the inn on the Mount of Olives is also known for its excellent game dishes. We were also served quickly and friendly. All in all we had a very nice evening.

This morning the three of us had breakfast on the Mount of Olives. What was served to us was really good and varied. We could also get something at any time, such as rolls, butter, etc... But what really struck us as very negative and left us speechless was the following incident. The guest room is really very beautiful and tastefully decorated. Because the lighting was on, it was also very cozy and a special atmosphere came across. Short term!!! So the lighting in our part was switched off and we sat a little uncomfortable in a dining room that wasn't really well lit. At our request, the light was turned back on by the service person, which was turned off again shortly afterwards by the owner. We intervened immediately. The owner then told us that electricity prices had risen so much that they had to save on lighting! Strangely, the light in the front part of the guest room was NOT turned off. We were really speechless. We are of the opinion that something like this is definitely not possible. We also saw some things where the cleanliness left something to be desired. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I personally will no longer be a guest on the Mount of Olives.

I go to the Gasthaus zum Ölberg at least once every year for Christmas dinner, and it's a highlight every time! The menu mainly offers game dishes that are excellently prepared. The saddle of venison in particular is tender and incredibly tasty - an absolute must for game lovers. For those who don't like game, there are also alternatives such as duck, Viennese-style schnitzel and a vegetarian dish. Another highlight is the view: the view from the toilets (!) over Thomasberg, Bonn and all the way to Cologne is simply breathtaking. So it's worth not missing out on the way there. The journey is part of the experience. Although you can take a taxi to the door, the route usually leads over Margarethenhöhe. From there it's a steep 25-minute walk to the top of the mountain - a bit of fitness is rewarded! A small downer this year was the slightly slower service. Nevertheless: The ambience, the quality of the food and the unique location make the Gasthaus zum Ölberg a 5-star experience for me every time. Absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and a spectacular view!

Christmas party was again very atmospheric, food was delicious. Drinks great. Red wine from Alde Gott was delicious. Wild ragout was super tasty.

Today, a beautiful autumn day, we hiked to the Mount of Olives in vain. Once at the top, despite there being free seats outside, it was not possible to drink/order a coffee. There was a notice on the door, unfortunately we are completely booked today. Too bad. A coffee to go would have done the trick too.

We were at the Oelberg restaurant yesterday and were very satisfied. The food was very tasty and also appetizingly prepared. The service was very friendly and attentive, even though she had to serve a lot of guests. We don't understand why there are so many bad reviews online. If you're really unlucky in a restaurant (of course it's happened here too) then I'll sort it out on site and not online. Some people you just can't understand. We'll definitely come back again. Wir kamen um 15:00 Uhr ins Lokal um Kaffee und Kuchen zu essen. Es war 1. November Feiertag und das Lokal war ziemlich voll. Doch drei Tische waren frei geworden. Wir durften uns aber nicht setzen, da für das Abendessen die Tische eingedeckt werden mussten und nicht mehr besetzt werden durften. Die Kellner waren einfach überfordert. Wie uns erging es eingen anderen. So vergrault man Kunden. Wir hatten uns dann ins Freie gesetzt trotz kühlem Wind, aber leider kam innerhalb von 10 Minuten keine Bedienung. Wir sind dann gegangen.

Sehr schlechter Service! Keine Kommunikation von Seiten der KellnerInnen. Versalzenes oder völlig geschmackloses, unästhetisch angerichtete Teller und dazu noch 2, 5 Stunden Wartezeit! War das Wild gerade aufgetaut worden? Erklärt das die extrem lange Wartezeit? Warum ist nicht kommuniziert worden, dass es länger dauern könnte? Nudeln mit Bolognese komplett verkocht und völlig geschmacklos. Auch die Optik auf dem Teller unterirdisch! Warum wir nicht früher und vorallem schimpfend das Lokal verlassen haben, erklärt sich wahrscheinlich nur deshalb, dass die Aussicht auf Siebengebirge und Bonn ein Traum ist und wir einfach grundsätzlich sehr gute Laune und Stimmung von einem vorausgegangenen Urlaub hatten. Der Rückweg zurück zum Kloster Heisterbach, wo unser Auto stand, wurde zum nächtlichen Horror-Abenteuer mit extremen Magen-Darmproblemen, die uns jetzt am nächsten Morgen immer noch nicht schlafen lassen! Liebe Wanderer! Bringt euch einfach euer eigenes Picknick mit-das ist gesünder und zeitlich effektiver, setzt euch auch gerne auf die Terrasse, genießt die Aussicht! Außerdem kommt ihr dann auch im Hellen nach Hause! Service kommt eh nicht! Eine Unverschämtheit!

No service on the terrace, you have to carry the drinks out yourself, which the stressed-out waitress unfortunately didn't tell us when we took our order while standing at the entrance. (The prices are the same of course) I found it quite uncomfortable to carry my dishes around the store and since I wasn't the only one from the terrace there was quite a lot of traffic (no wonder the waitress outsourced this to us), It was very uncomfortable and I would have preferred to just sit there looking at the view if they had told me so straight away.

Great view. We were just there for a drink and a delicious cake on the terrace. Food in the restaurant looked great.

Here are a few photos of my favorite dish, wild ragout, from my favorite excursion destination in the Siebengebirge. The kitchen has remained excellent over the past 20 years. The game is shot yourself (or by the hunter) and comes locally from the Siebengebirge or not much further away. Smatschnego. The owner's wife is Polish by birth. This is also noticeable in the kitchen. Totally positive, of course. And that suits this location perfectly.

A group of 14 of us came to the inn on Saturday with a previous reservation. We were way too early, which the service staff didn't mind as the tables were already set for us. From the starter to the main course everything was delicious. The service was also very good, always making sure that the wishes were not left unfulfilled. It's a shame, however, that there is no menu on the website. Parking is available below the inn with a short walk up.

Very nice terrace at sunset. The price of the food is really reasonable.

After a long hike through the Siebengebirge, I ended here with a beer and a piece of cake. The view is great. There was a lot going on that day and the service was obviously a bit overwhelmed. Nevertheless, the service person who served me was very friendly. The cake was delicious, the beer was fresh and of course the view was very good.

Eternal waiting times on weekends, apparently massive staff shortages. Everyone seems extremely stressed. It's a shame, it used to be very nice.

Yesterday we hiked to the Mount of Olives, the reward was delicious home-baked apple pie, the view was wonderful, very nice staff

I had lunch on the terrace yesterday and was served in a very friendly and attentive manner. It took a little longer for the food to be served, but to me that's a sign that it was freshly prepared. The food wasn't quite as advertised on the menu, but still tasty. I can recommend the inn on the Mount of Olives. I'll be back.

Unfortunately, three waitresses within over half an hour did not want to accept our order. First I inquired in the dining room, when I was asked whether I could order, yes, but not with me, I was annoyed, the second waitress just waved me off, I had no answer and the third waitress, who came from downstairs, ignored my question twice to answer me on the third attempt, but you can't with me. So the four of us went home, thirsty and hungry. Unfortunately, I observed something similar at the neighboring table and other guests had to leave because the table was needed for the tray. Too bad.

I visited the place together with my friends from Bonn and didn't know if it was because I didn't speak german with them or what, but the staff was pretty ignorant and unkind. A waitress served a taple of people who came after us and made us wait for a very long time. The apfelkuchen they served me looked like collected from the floor, compared to other plates they served on the other tables. And it wasn't so good at all. Beatuful place with an amazing view, but with this service, I would not recommend it.

Very tasty food, the portions are decent, which is what you would expect given the prices. The view from the terrace is phenomenal, and after the strenuous climb you can look forward to drinks and good food. Unfortunately, the waiting times for food are quite long, but the waitresses are very friendly and you feel sorry for the staff in the kitchen. Ultimately, the food is simply delicious.

Today was the first time - but certainly not the last time - at the inn on the Mount of Olives! The view from the terrace is really great! Of course, on a Sunday with the best weather, it was pretty full. Our waitress was still in a good mood and very friendly!!! Such a friendly, warm young woman - hospitality that couldn't be better conveyed!

We were there today for a 90th birthday invited.A beautifully decorated one Table.A great and very tasty Food.The portions were all very large. Our waitress was a blonde lady (with white 3/4 lg. trousers) was extremely very friendly and treated us very kindly It was busy but she was there always super nice. Frühstück leider war der Tisch viel zu klein für 5 Personen mit Unmengen Tellern, es wurde nicht mal gefragt welche Wurst man wollte 3 Wurstteller sind zu viel besonders wenn ein Vegetarier dabei ist Filterkaffee ungefragt hingestellt keiner hat ihn getrunken. Schlechte Organisation. Das beste ist der Ausblick besonders vom stillen Örtchen.

This morning we had breakfast in this restaurant with 7 people. The breakfast was mega...!!! Fresh cold cuts (including wild salami, wild ham) from the area, fresh jam, salmon, fruit platter, cheese platter, etc... Unfortunately, far too much! Three people could easily have eaten more of this. The view, a dream! Yes, as often described, a deduction for the service… as everywhere, unfortunately there is a lack of staff. However, the staff who served us today did their best... you have to put yourself in their shoes and just say thank you!!!

View great. Service 0 points. After a very long wait for service, we left disappointed. 11 guests, 1 waiter, 2 waitresses and unfortunately it doesn't work. Too bad.

The food is very tasty, but also correspondingly expensive. When the weather is good, it is understandably difficult to get a seat on the terrace at the weekend. Especially if there is another event taking place here at the same time. But there is still the option to just sit inside.

Gasthaus Ölberg - a must for hikers 🥾 in the Siebengebirge. Great all-round view from the highest mountain (461 m) into the Rhine Valley, the Eifel and the Bergisches Land. The restaurant offers a delicious variety 😋 so the climb is doubly worth it.

Very unfriendly. We waited half an hour and no one came to order from. Everything from the people in front of us was still on the table and it hadn't been cleaned up. When we spoke to someone after a long wait, she said we shouldn't be impatient. Very rude. I won't come back here.

Inn on the Mount of Olives – or as I now call it: “The Peak of Mediocrity”! Where should I even start? Maybe with the shuttle service, which obviously has fun redefining the term “on time”. A little tip: You could fill the waiting time with a coffee, but oh yeah, that's not offered... Instead, there was a flat tire as a souvenir for the ride up the mountain. At least the adventure was free. The food? Well, it was okay... if you like a kitchen that exudes as much passion as a stone. I was particularly excited about the vegan breakfast, which turned out to be grilled vegetables. Nothing against grilled vegetables, but when I order breakfast on a mountain, I expect a little more than what usually passes for a side dish. But the real kicker? The service! Here you get a double introduction: First, you are provided with the latest plans for the end of the day without being asked - very informative if you happen to want to write a doctoral thesis about the private lives of strangers. But beware of anyone interrupting this conversation with an order or – God forbid – a query. You are immediately treated as if you had just committed a crime. The transition from friendly to “Why are you even here?” happens faster than you can say “iced coffee.” Oh yes, and you can forget about the iced coffee straight away - there was no ice cream or coffee. Welcome to the gastronomy Stone Age! Conclusion: If you like mediocre food, unfriendly service and an unexpected adventure with your car tire, then head to the Gasthaus am Ölberg! For everyone else: Maybe avoid the mountain and stop somewhere else.

Mega breakfast! It's always best to register! Simply great for us. Once you're up there, you can take some local game home with you. Always my pleasure.

Nice service, very tasty food (we can also do something vegan on request) and probably the best view in Bonn. From the highest mountain in the Siebengebirge you can see Bonn and the entire surrounding area. The climb is not without its problems, but for people with disabilities there is the option of taking a taxi to the restaurant.
