Everything was just right here. The food, even with a possible special request, was lovingly and deliciously prepared. The Luther plate was totally great. The service is very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is right inside and outside. We would love to come here again.

The Lutherkeller in Gotha makes an effort to be something special in the otherwise rather service-poor restaurant area in Thuringia. Unfortunately, this only partially works. Our email reservation via the email address on the homepage was apparently overlooked. So we were left without a table, even though we had reserved. Other guests who didn't try to make a reservation were turned away straight away, while we still managed to get a seat in the almost empty interior - a bit strange to turn guests away at the door when hardly anyone is sitting inside. By the way, there was no excuse for the overlooked table reservation. The ambience in the Lutherkeller is really nice, and the furnishings look high-quality and tasteful. The obvious boss really went out of his way to make our evening pleasant. The rest of the staff, however, was rather disinterested and cold. I would have liked a little more friendliness and at least a greeting and farewell. The food was good, even if my sauerkraut was unfortunately overcooked. The wine selection is okay. However, the two Rieslings on offer didn't really suit my taste. I found the prices for the overall tasty food and drinks to be too cheap, which could be due to the regional purchasing power. Some of the plates at our table were already cleared away while I was still eating - I only know this from Eastern European restaurants and always find it quite unpleasant. The bottom line is that the Lutherkeller definitely has potential. However, there are still some things that could be done better. But we'll be happy to come back when we're in Gotha again, in the hope that the Lutherkeller will understand this review as what it was intended: a well-intentioned tip from guests to do even better, even if the restaurant Admittedly, it is already a highlight in the otherwise rather below-average local gastronomy.

Unfortunately we cannot confirm the very good reviews about the food. Either the kitchen changed or we were just unlucky and the ingredients were out... :-( The meat from the Rostbrätl and the steak au four was very rich and interspersed with cartilage. The best part of the dishes was the side salad, which was really good. The staff was nice, but the waiting times for drinks to arrive and 45 minutes for food to arrive are quite long when otherwise the work was pretty relaxed.

There was “only” a dumpling on our plate with the roulade. But it was just huge. The food tasted fantastic. Nothing extravagant and no frills, but all the more delicious. This is exactly how Thuringian cuisine has to be. It was rounded off with a very tasty salad. As a small bonus there was a wonderful digestive schnapps made from a Romanian secret recipe. The staff was very friendly, even though they had their hands full. The ambience of the Lutherkeller alone invites you to linger.

Very cozy wine bar (also many local wines) with a restaurant in an ancient medieval wine cellar, rebuilt in 1891 after a fire. Very nice, furnished in a new modern atmosphere. The food, very good home cooking - really tasty and prepared with love. The service is excellent and our waiter also took the time to have a little chat with his 3 non-local guests. Keep it up and stay the way you are ;-)

Das war ein Abend, der sich so recht gelohnt hat. Thüringische Küche mit einer ganz eigenen Note. Die Krautroulade mit den besonderen Klößen war außergewöhnlich. Der Service war exzellent, die Kellner freundlich. Die Weinkarte passt hervorragend! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The location is beautifully located. The food is high quality. The service was friendly. Deductions for the cheese variations for €18.50 with only Emmental, Camenbert and cream cheese! No card payment possible, no electronic receipt.

We ate there on Saturday and I can recommend that anyone visiting Gotha stop there and eat there. It was just great. Everything went well and it was a wonderful evening with my family.

Delicious Thuringian cuisine, Thuringian dumplings, Rostbrätl. The only point for us: the menu on the notice board wasn't up to date (there were the dishes on the board, but not all of them from the illuminated notice board), which initially became an issue with children, but could be solved.

The wine advice was great, but waiting three quarters of an hour for a steak au four is simply not possible. During that time a total of 5 meals were served. I can also cook myself, half an hour would have been maximum. I had a follow-up appointment at the theater and skipped eating. I've never fallen in like that before. Other guests also had their problems.

Seit Oktober 2023 hat die Weinbar am Buttermarkt einen neuen Inhaber. Meine Familie und ich wollten dies mal testen und wir sind begeistert. Durch den neuen Inhaber gibt es viel mehr leckere Spezialitäten aus Thüringen und spannende Tagesgerichte. Der Kloß war der Hammer und das Ambiete einfach gemütlich. Auch über die Bedienung kann man sich nicht beschweren. Außerdem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in den heutigen Zeiten tip top. Den echten, großen Thüringer Kloß mit einer Roulade bekommt man schon für um die 20€. Aber auch andere sehr leckere Spezialitäten sind nicht zu teuer. Wir können es also absolut weiterempfehlen in der Weinbar mal vorbeizukommen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Eine gemütliche und moderne Weinbar im Zentrum von Gotha. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch der Service ausgezeichnet. Auch die Weinberatung war sehr gut und der empfohlene Wein hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können diese Weinbar nur wärmstens empfehlen und werden sicher wieder kommen.

A place to feel good! The new WeinBar team is very hospitable and turns the already special atmosphere into a place to relax. A good Bacchus from the Saale-Unstrut region, a roulade with red cabbage, a Thuringian dumpling and lots of sauce and at the end a delicious ice cream. Thank you for the pleasant break and delicious food!

I have visited the wine bar six times in the last few months, alone and as a couple. Always excellent service with style, top wines and food that I have rarely had of this quality. The opening times are also extended and you can still get a good meal later in the evening. Absolute recommendation for an evening in Gotha's beautiful city center!

It was a wonderful experience in the wine bar. Everything is decorated for Christmas right now. I was recommended a wonderful Rose' wine that went with the meal and was very tasty. The meat was tender as butter and everything was appetizingly prepared and delicious. Everything was perfect, we would love to come back.

Ein Empfehlenswertes Restaurant!! Ein "GOURMET- TEMPEL"!! Es stimmt einfach ALLES!!! Die Thüringer Klösse sind ein Gedicht, Souce und Roulade ein Sonniges SommerGewitter für Gaumen und Zunge, der Wein überzeugt genauso! herzlichst die Zwei Uckermärker, einer davon Gebürtiger Gothaer. Wir haben eine große Feier in der Weinbar geplant. Leider wurde der Tag verwechselt und wir können für den Service nicht alle Sterne vergeben. Jedoch wurde sich von allen große Mühe gegeben, sodass wir trotz anfänglichem Chaos ein schönen Abend hatten. Das Essen war super lecker und das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr positiv! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben in kleinem Kreis nach unserer Trauung sehr gut gegessen - war allerding fleischlastig ;-) Es gibt gute Weine, auch der Traubensaft war sehr gut. Alles war gut vorbereitet, die Bedienung freundlich..

Toller Service, riesige Auswahl an excellenten Weinen aus Deutschland zu vernünftigen Preisen. Die Käsevariation war der Hammer, Riesenportion und Topqualität zu einem vertretbaren Preis. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Wir sind als Nachbarn beeindruckt von der Freundlichkeit und vor allen Dingen von der Küche. Rustikale thüringer Küche im Sterneniveau. Endlich mal wieder ein Restaurant mit einfacher deutscher Küche. Preis- & Leistungsverhältnis top. "Futtern wie bei Muttern!!!" Wir drohen mit Wiederkommen.

Ein echter Gewinn füt Gotha, seit Anfang Oktober erst wohl. Die Bar würden wir gerne direkt in unsere Großstadt ins Veedel umpflanzen wollen. Eine reichhaltige Weinkarte (gezählt 16 deutsche Winzer, in Entwicklung ausländische wegen Nachfrage) sehr gute Beratung (vom Hausherren z. B. , die motivierten, freundlichen Angestellten werden da auch noch besser thematisch einsteigen, ist ja alles ganz neu ). Zudem eine Gin+ anderes ausführliche Karte. Es gibt klallfrisch hausgemachte schmackhafte Tagesgerichte lokal und auch aus Südosteuropa inspiriert (persönliche Note der Patronne ), was wunderbar harmoniert. Mehr bodenständig als hip, was wir sehr schätzen. Gute Atmosphäre, ein modernes Ambiente im historischen Haus. Echte Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder

Meine absolute Lieblingsbar. 🤩 Zentral im Herzen von Gotha gelegen. Jede/r Weinliebhaber/in wird hier fündig: über 120 verschiedene Weine. Aber auch Gin und Bier werden angeboten. Die Speisekarte ist nach jedem Weingut geordnet und mag manchen, anhand der großen Auswahl, erschlagen. Aber das Personal gibt gerne Empfehlungen ab. Die Speiseauswahl dahingehend ist sehr übersichtlich, aber völlig ausreichend. Eis, Knabbereien und Salate stehe auf der Karte.

Ein wahrer Genuss! Die Weinbar am Buttermarkt ist eine Oase des exquisiten Geschmacks und des gehobenen Ambientes. Hier erlebt man nicht nur ein Essen, sondern eine kulinarische Reise durch Rumänien, Deutschland und den Orient. Die Liebe zum Detail in der Zubereitung und Präsentation der Speisen ist spürbar. Die Auswahl an Weinen ist beeindruckend und bietet für jeden Anlass den perfekten Begleiter. Das Personal ist äußerst kenntnisreich und freundlich, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Möglichkeit, die gesamte Weinbar für private Events zu reservieren. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Auch die Vielfalt an Käsegerichten ist bemerkenswert und harmoniert perfekt mit den Weinen. Insgesamt ein Ort, der Luxus und Raffinesse vereint. Absolut empfehlenswert für Feinschmecker und Weinliebhaber. Ein Besuch lohnt sich in jedem Fall! Ist bei einer Aufenthalt in Gotha unbedingt zu empehlen.

Ein tolles Konzept. Die angebotenen Weine komme alle aus deutschen Anbaugebieten. Es gibt auch Kleinigkeiten zum Essen wie Flammkuchen, Knabbersachen und eine unheimlich leckere Käseplatte :-) Wir waren 2x hier und sehr zufrieden mit dem Service, Wein und allem drum herum. Wer Abends Zeit hat, sollte auf jeden Fall einmal in der Weinbar einkehren. An Liebhaber von Gin, Whisky und Champagner ist auch in der Karte gedacht 😊 Bitte macht genau so weiter....

Schöne Bar mit gut ausgesuchten Weinen. Die große Gin Auswahl sollte nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Freundliche Bedienung und draußen kann man schön sitzen. Der Flammkuchen war köstlich.

Sehr freundliche Inhaberin und Angestellte. Modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Leckeres Essen, ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Tolle Weine, sortiert nach Weingut. Auch mit unserem 2-jährigen Sohn waren wir herzlich willkommen.

Ein wahnsinnig guter Service. Die Chefin ist super, super lieb und das Essen war außergewöhnlich köstlich. Wir können die Käseplatte für Zwei als Vorspeise empfehlen. Ganz tolle Weine auch aus der Pfalz und aus Rheinhessen.

Interessantes Konzept, eine Vielzahl an Weinen zum Probieren anzubieten. Schwerpunkt auf Unstrut-Saale, aber teilweise problematische Winzerauswahl. Wenn ein Chardonnay eines relativ unbekannten Winzers zu 8€/0,1 L angeboten wird, kommt man schon ins Grübeln. Dazu werden schmackhafte Kleinigkeiten zum Essen angeboten. Die Weinbar ist modern, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Service freundlich, aber ohne große Sachkenntnis- zudem unflexibel: Obwohl das Restaurant nahezu leer war, war es leider unmöglich, nur eine halbe Käseplatte zu erhalten.

Die Weinbar ist sehr modern und freundlich gestaltet. Man erkennt eine klare Linie und alles ist sehr ordentlich. Das Gesamtbild von Service und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für uns nicht gepasst. Dennoch war es ein angenehmer Abend. Jedoch nicht besonders.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend! Danke an das Team. Die Weinbar verfügt über eine große Auswahl verschiedener Weine. Wir durften testen bis der passende Wein gefunden war. Dem Barkeeper merkt man die Leidenschaft für gute Weine und Longdrinks an. Bemerkenswert ist die Auswahl verschiedener Gin-Sorten und Whisky. Wir kommen wieder.
