Wavecity Kitchen & Bar in Hamburg

Wir hatten uns kurzfristig für ein Frühstück im Wavecity entschieden. Das Personal wirkte unbeholfen, die Frühstücksspeisen waren mittelmäßig. Man versucht mit der Einrichtung ein California Beach Feeling zu vermitteln…. Muss man nicht unbedingt nochmal haben….

You sit directly on a branch of the Elbe at the Elbe barcades. Very hip 😊 Really nice ambience. The service is very nice and the burgers are good.

Super nice service and quite cheap for the Hafen City. Food (snacks) very good. It's a shame that we were there as tourists, otherwise we would come to you more often.

The burgers were alright, but definitely not worth the high price. The service wasn't great either—felt like the staff wasn't really paying attention. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The tarte flambée was very tasty, we ate it there during an Eat the world tour. The place looks like a surf bar, to me it seems a bit out of place in the port of Hamburg, otherwise a great concept.

We came here because my husband wanted to try the smashed burgers. Lt. According to him, the burger was very good, but the taste was indistinguishable from burgers as we know them. I was also very happy with my burger. The location is very nice, we sat right by the water in the sunshine. The service was super nice, friendly and very funny. One point of criticism for me: you only get a menu if you are able to scan a QR code. Personally, I still find it takes some getting used to.

We really liked it here, the serving staff made us feel very at home, it's a lovely place to sit by the canal and the food is good. The sashimi and the burgers are both good. The salad is nice and crispy with lots of delicious sauce.

The food is good but the restaurant has a fixed tip rate in their app whenever you order, even for takeout!? This is not acceptable as a tip is optional!

Service was ok, except that she flooded the table when cleaning it instead of drying it again. The burger was tiny for the price and it was definitely not a smash burger! The salad was definitely not washed beforehand

Lives up to its good reviews - nice service, absolutely great food, reasonable price. The ambience outside by the water is super beautiful! The toilets could be cleaner, that's a suggestion for improvement.

Big portions, good service, delicious food, nice location

We spent our company summer party here with the super delicious surfer menu (salad, tarte flambée, burgers - also vegan/vegetarian options) and a great drinks package. The service team did their best to look after us, a colorful, noisy bunch, until midnight. We were even given access to the loudspeaker system and dance floor outside until a certain time and then even inside until the end! It was a really successful and wonderful summer evening there. Big praise and love goes out ❤️

So I find it strange when an electronic menu includes a tip when you order. I would like to decide that myself and also the amount of the tip. We then ordered normally through a nice waiter and were very satisfied. When I had to go to the men's toilet, I was already full. I was greeted by a foul smell of urine that I have rarely experienced and it was difficult for me to breathe. If you have water-free urinals, then take care of it and pour water in every now and then to flush. For that reason alone I won't be showing up here again. But the location is great and everyone here is very nice.

We came an extra 900 km from Austria to eat here and it was worth every km 😍. No joke, but if you are near Hamburg you simply have to try this place.

Very nice service, you can place orders online or order directly from the service person. Sitting in the sun right by the water was really nice, the burgers tasted good, even the vegan version.

Real Hamburg atmosphere. Right on the water or canal. What shouldn't be missed, of course, are the beautiful seagull songs (very loud and sounds like they're laughing at each other :) ). If you like it quiet, you better sit down. The service was very nice, but the payment didn't work once, so we had to pay in cash. I didn't fully understand your ordering app, we always ordered directly. The burgers were super tasty!!!

Super good snack. We were totally drunk and then it was fine again. Overall the burger was good. Unfortunately no smashed burger. Therefore only 4 stars. Would still come back.

Great location, especially when the weather is good. Nicely furnished. Ordering via barcode and website is not for everyone, but it works well. Quite expensive, but that's probably the price for the view.

Great burgers and views but expensive.

The restaurant has QR code to order, but the system itself is not functioning. I finished the order and then said the order is getting prepared, and the waitress came to me, I said I ordered online, she didn’t check and just left. I waited for 25 minutes, then I asked again why my drink is still not here, then they spent 5 mins figured out the order was not sent to their system. Then they reordered for me, after 15 mins the food came before the drink. There are two issues: 1. The system is not complete enough, it was designed to save time, but then it cost more time for us 2. The service organization is lack of training, after the waitress confirmation we have ordered online, she could have double checked if it was received by her, which she didn’t. And the system automatically adds up tips, 10/15% without noticing. Really messy management. But the food itself is not bad. People are also nice to certain.

Very pleasant and authentic atmosphere, friendly team. The chicken wings - fantastic! Baked potatoes are not only eye-catching, but also very tasty! I can only recommend.

The Pinsa (Parma) is excellent, very tasty sourdough base, good and high-quality toppings. It's absolutely filling and there's nothing wrong with it. Addendum: Unfortunately, the menu was cut down so much that only what you get everywhere was left: burgers and bowls. No more pinsa, pizza, pasta. That's really a shame and no longer an incentive to visit.

The Beyond Meat Burger was sold out. Unfortunately there is no burger alternative for vegetarians. Ordering via the app didn't work either.

It was our first time in the location and we were immediately greeted by friendly young waitresses. After a short introduction to the digital menu. The drinks and the food, we ordered tarte flambée, a salad and a beef burger that could be topped with other additional side dishes very quickly. The food was always freshly prepared and arrived warm and, above all, at the same time. The burger was absolutely delicious and very juicy, I also had avocados and mushrooms with me. There was also a small, delicious salad on a slate board. We can only recommend the restaurant and we would be happy to come back next time we visit the Speicherstadt.

Everything was great: size and quality of the burgers, location, ambience outside and inside, service on point! Of course not a bargain, but worth the prices quoted

A little insider tip on the Elbarcades. Nice service, small, inexpensive dishes. Absolutely recommended in Hafencity. Great ambience, quietly located on the water (harbor basin)!

Nicely located and if you like it, you can order and pay via app/browser. The food came quickly, but unfortunately it wasn't really hot, but it was still tasty. Service was friendly and quick :)

Beautiful location by the water, large selection and very tasty food. Very nice and helpful staff (especially the waitress with the blonde hair and the beautiful smile). All in all, a highly recommended restaurant. I will gladly come again.

The legendary Störtebeker has found its new location here in the redesign of HafenCity. Somehow it fits.

Super relaxed restaurant, good value for money and delicious food. What is to be criticized is that there is only an online menu via a barcode, everyone has to order via a cell phone if the food is to come together. The result is that everyone initially sits at the table with their smartphone in their hand, which we found to be very uncomfortable.

Yes. If the QR code works on the cell phone, then everything is ok. You need the menu and order.

We were welcomed by a young and polite service staff. The location is just cool.😎 Reminded me of my vacation in Bali. The food was freshly prepared… and the presentation… see for yourself.

We had a Groupon voucher for the Wavecity breakfast. It was really good. Healthy and tasty. Lots of fruit, cottage cheese, fried eggs with bacon, rolls, croissants and jam.

Very nice restaurant with a beautiful view. You can create your own citizen. Simply that the only catch in the story is that you have to order on your cell phone and pay for it on your cell phone. Otherwise very good.

Top location, Service too slow or not work motivated. Tables were only cleared several times after new staff had been filled. Food (pizza) nothing special and no taste.

Also this year: Very good cocktails, served in style (take notes BoilermanBar), and the best burger in a long time. I can only recommend the avocado burger. Service friendly and quick.

Rounding off a long-weekend in Hamburg, this restaurant right beside the Maritime Museum area offers a decent menu selection. Attentative staff, a digital menu (physical copy available upon request), English available. Would recommend for a quick bite to eat!

Very tasty food. And the price-performance ratio is also good. Ordered by cell phone. Beer came in less than 5 minutes. And the delicious burger in under 20 minutes Quiet location and not too crowded.

Food is ok. Currently very stylish. But for now also a bit monotonous. Prices are very high. Tips are automatically deducted even though no one even has to come to the table to place the order because the order is digital. Location is quite nice.

We had the cookie ice cream sundae and were really surprised, good sized portion and super tasty. (but I think the name speculation cup would fit better :)) Very nice young lady in service and great chilled music

The sweet breakfast was as described on the menu. Fresh fruit was great. Staff was very friendly, but a bit overloaded. The weather and the table outside were great and so we enjoyed the slightly too long wait for our breakfast 🌞🤗
