You can get better food at Rewe...it didn't taste good at all. The photos of the dishes on the website don't reflect reality. A very strange place with high prices. Never again.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I rarely write negative reviews, but in this case, it's simply necessary. The service is virtually nonexistent – ​​and that's despite the exorbitant price per person. What you see in the online photos bears no resemblance to reality. The food looks completely different – ​​carelessly presented, disappointing in quality. Anyone who lets themselves be fooled by the glossy pictures will be bitterly disappointed. I had reserved a table in advance – of course, no one on site knew anything about it. We were assigned a random table, and the staff were genuinely surprised that there was even a reservation. Not to mention the service itself: Questions go unanswered, and no one explains how the concept works. You stand there, reading everything yourself, and get no help at all. For an all-you-can-eat place with prices like these, that's unacceptable. The absolute no-go: The fish carpaccio was covered in visible fish fat – a sign of poor quality and has no place in a reputable restaurant. Conclusion: If you value good service and fresh, high-quality food, you'd be better off visiting a real sushi restaurant. They lure you with beautiful pictures, but the reality is drab, overpriced, and disappointing.

You definitely have to see it at least once! The location is cool, and the concept of ordering all-you-can-eat via phone is really cool. However, the price-performance ratio isn't right. For €37 plus drinks, I'd simply eat better elsewhere. The meat was dry and nothing special. The noodle and rice dishes were okay, but they could be better. So, just for the food, no thanks. It's the whole package that counts. But once was enough for us. :)

I went to Watami in Kempten on Tuesday. The food is solid at first, but after a while, you realize that almost everything tastes the same—perhaps a typical all-you-can-eat. The rice with curry was the highlight—it just wasn't good and not appropriate for such an upscale restaurant. I only ordered one portion of sushi because it didn't taste good. And unfortunately, overall, almost everything was just sweet. For €80 for two people, you can get better food at other restaurants. We won't be going there again.

A very nice location on the 13th floor with a wonderful view over Kempten 😊. We had the "all you can eat" option for lunch. Ordering via QR code was fun (not everyone's cup of tea, but we found it quite amusing). The robot that brought some of the food to the table was also nice 🤣. The selection is huge, and the staff is very friendly and helpful 👍. The dishes were excellent and delicious; we really enjoyed them. The small portions were nice; you could try a lot and everything without getting stuffed right away. Just like the Spanish with their tapas 😋😃! We thought the value for money was excellent! There's nothing to complain about the food. The service, on the other hand, was disorganized chaos. You had to call a waiter just to place your drink order, because no one came after you learned that you can only find the drinks in the AllYouCanEat app (QR code on the table). This would be the next point of criticism. Menu? It's a plain, shredded paper version with no pictures or explanations of the dishes. You have to Google it if you're not familiar with the Japanese names. This is where that impossible QR code impossibility comes into play again. Drinks empty? No one asks if you want more. The table is full to the brim with empty dishes? No one asks if they can clear the table. Oh yeah, when ordering drinks and also with another food order, the waiter wanted to rush off immediately after each person placed their order. Staff shortage? Not really. There were at least five service staff running around, while a delivery robot stood around most of the time.

A truly special experience. "All you can eat"—choose everything on your phone, and it's brought to your table by a server or robot. It's quick and delicious.

The food and service are clearly not up to the standards of the seating. The wait time for the first order was 60 minutes! Food arrived sporadically – it was impossible to eat together. The all-you-can-eat, two-hour limit is an absolute disgrace. The noise level in the restaurant was very loud. My Apple Watch repeatedly signaled a warning above 90 decibels!

The WATAMI Skylounge in Kempten is perfect for all-you-can-eat dining; the menu offers a variety of delicacies. I would have loved to try everything; the selection is enormous and extremely delicious. I had to hold back at a certain point because I was reaching my limit. About the process: You should reserve a table by the same day at the latest. As soon as you arrive, check in at your desired table using your smartphone (you may need to be authorized by a member of staff). Then you can start ordering right away. - A maximum of five dishes can be ordered per person per round. - You can order again after five minutes. - Drinks can be ordered at any time, but as far as I can see, they cost extra. Depending on the situation, either a staff member or a cute little service robot will come and bring you your food. Note: Always order only as much as you can. For each leftover dish, you'll have to pay €1 per piece for sushi/salads and €2 per hot dish. The money will then be donated to the Kempten Food Bank. About the food: There are various sushi variations, gyoza, seafood, various meat dishes, noodle dishes, mochi ice cream, soups, etc. My personal recommendation for what you should definitely try (unless it's seasonally limited): Fried onigiri with pineapple – and I have to say, I'm not a fan of pineapple at all, but it was still the highlight of the evening for me. Otherwise, the sesame balls were also very good (be careful when eating them, it's hotter inside than outside). For "special non-alcoholic drinks," I recommend Circle Zen, not only a real eye-catcher, but also one of the best specialty drinks I've tried there. About the ambiance: The Skylounge lives up to its name; you have a beautiful view over Kempten, and the interior is stylish and beautifully designed. Conclusion: Great restaurant with authentic Japanese food and a beautiful view of the city.

I don't know if I was just having a bad day or if my expectations are too high because of my travels in Asia. The fish was very sparingly portioned and not fresh. The food was drowned in teriyaki or hot sauce. The service was very inattentive, and at €50 per person, I expect quality, and this was supermarket sushi...

The food is good and of high quality. Orders are sent from the table to the kitchen via an app. Unfortunately, this was the second time we had to wait more than 40 minutes for our food on a weekend. Many orders simply don't arrive at all, or dessert arrives sometime between the main courses. Very tiring and really annoying 😬 It's probably best to visit during the week.

The quality is good to very good. The service sometimes "throws" the dishes onto the table without mentioning the name. Ordering by phone also makes the whole experience very impersonal, and a brief briefing at the beginning about how to order would also be welcome.

There were five of us at the restaurant. Three of us received our food and drinks reliably. In particular, nothing worked for me. The drinks arrived after 15 and 30 minutes, respectively. My first order arrived after half an hour. Everything was cold. The subsequent orders were not filled. After I politely complained, some of the food was delivered later. I stated that I was very dissatisfied. I wanted a price reduction and left it up to the management's discretion. They offered no consideration at all. I will not be visiting Watami again.

The premises are impressive. The view of Kempten is unique. But that's about it. The dining culture is borderline, in my opinion. I belong to the older generation (over 50) and find it odd that I'm expected to select the food on my phone and then order it for the kitchen. No waiters ask for drinks, or if it tastes good, or anything like that. The poor waiters are just running around distributing an armada of bowls like in a prison cafeteria. The ordered food, or rather finger food, is usually cold and soggy. Freshness was clearly lacking here. The kitchen is bombarded with dozens of orders per diner. That's neither sustainable nor efficient. The taste and condition of the food suffers. My dining partner and I were quite disappointed. The messy serving and the pile of plates that were piled up on our table were simply annoying. If you want good dining culture and a pleasant conversation, this is the wrong place for you. The price isn't cheap either, given the quality. But I can't really judge that. If that's the future strategy for running a restaurant, I'd rather stay home.

The restaurant's interior is truly beautiful, and the view from the rooftop terrace is simply breathtaking! The atmosphere is pleasant, the waiters are friendly, constantly on the move, and smiling—the service is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Almost all of the dishes were generously coated in teriyaki sauce, making the actual flavor of the ingredients almost undetectable. The sushi was unfortunately underwhelming—almost all rice, barely any filling, and overall not particularly tasty. The portions are tiny, and the prices, on the other hand, are quite high and disproportionate to the quality. Beautiful presentation and a great view are nice, but when you go to a restaurant, you primarily expect good food—and that, unfortunately, wasn't the case here.

Unfortunately, very disappointing – two bad experiences We've been there twice now, and both times we didn't receive our main courses; only drinks and one or two appetizers were served. Despite repeated, friendly reminders that food was still missing, nothing happened. We waited until the restaurant closed and were finally asked to leave, even though our food was still waiting. Especially disappointing: There was no kindness, no apology – we had to pay the full amount in both cases. A real shame, because the ambiance is actually nice. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this visit.

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment. We had high expectations based on the many positive reviews, but were unfortunately quite disappointed. The quality of the food was truly poor – the fish dishes in particular were extremely salty and had a very unpleasant, "fishy" taste. We can't understand the often-praised 4.7 stars at all – at least not in relation to the food. The service was also very unprofessional: The staff was unfriendly, some barely spoke German, and generally hectic and inattentive. When we politely asked to exchange a still water bottle for a sparkling one, he reacted completely inappropriately: He took the bottle very rudely and disappeared without saying a word, bringing us a new one. The view is beautiful, but that alone isn't enough to rate the experience positively. For the prices charged here, you can definitely find better – and more cordial – food elsewhere.

I ordered the fried noodles and I waited 30 minutes and they still hadn't arrived. I had to give a warning the first time. Then I had to give a second warning because I ordered the mussels and they still hadn't arrived after 45 minutes, and the young waitress just threw the fried shrimp at me even though I didn't order it. And then I had to complain again. And then it only arrived half an hour after I complained. The waitress looks like she doesn't enjoy her job. But the food was very good overall.

Starting from the assumption that all the food was frozen, but frozen for who knows how long, or in any case not of great quality, both meat and above all, surprisingly also the meat. The fried foods were very soft and not at all crunchy, and the thing that shocked me most of all THE lumpy PHILADELPHIA that had the consistency of ricotta. I already had a stomach ache shortly after finishing dinner. It's a shame because the place has great potential but the food, I repeat, for the price you pay is really not worth it. If you go to this place think twice and then go to the pizzeria next door. Oh, last thing, 5.5€ for half a liter of water that probably comes from the tap I see it as a theft in my country.

We came here spontaneously for dinner, never again! The food was unfortunately worse and tasteless than the cheap frozen food from Norma. The back area of ​​the restaurant (which is probably the hotel's breakfast room in the morning) looks a bit like a waiting room. The staff is friendly and attentive, but sometimes a bit over-motivated. Some of our serving plates were cleared away even though there was still food on them. But all in all, the concept fits and the view ultimately makes up for it.

Es war der Geburtstag meiner Tochter. Er wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben. Nach einer Viertelstunde hatten wir das erstemal Kontakt zu unserer Bedienung. Die Handys wurden Freigeschaltet und nun konnte das fröhliche all you can Eat bestellen losgehen. Soweit zum lustigen Teil. Die erste kleine Suppe für eine Person kam nach einer halben Stunde. Eine Gericht von 12 bestellten. Danach war pause. Getränke nach einer weiteren viertelstunde. Das Essen kam nun schälchen für schälchen. Aber mit fortschreitendem Abend immer langsamer. Ein wenig ablenkung hatten wir als der äussere Aufzug Steckenblieb und wir den Technikern bei Ihrer Arbeit zusehen konnten. Zwischenzeitlich mussten wir unser Auto umparken da das Parkhaus um 20:30 Uhr zumacht. Meine Tochter erledigte das. Sie hat auch nichts versäumt da das restliche Essen bis auf ein paar kalte Entenstückchen und einen Satespies (natürlich auch kalt) nichts mehr kam. Auch mein Glas Wein hatte über eine Stunde Lieferzeit. Nachdem meine Tochter anmerkte das zwei kleine Gerichte die Sie vor zweieinhalb Stunden bestellt hatte immer noch nicht da sind haben wir den Abend abgebrochen. Nach einer weiteren viertelstunde durften wir dann bezahlen. Der Abend dauerte übrigens von 18:15 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr. Da wir nicht alleine mit diesen ganzen Problemen waren und die Tische um 20:00 Uhr eigentlich neu vergeben werden füllte sich das Lokal nach 20:00 Uhr wie ein Wartesaal, da die meisten Leute immer noch auf Ihr Essen warteten. Ich liebe das Essen mit diesen kleinen Häppchen da man immer was neues Ausprobieren kann. Aber das war ein kollosaler Reinfall. Uns wurden bei der Rechnung, da unsere Beschwerde als gerechtfertig angesehen wurde die Getränke erlassen. Ob wir uns je wieder dort einfinden ist sehr fraglich.

The store is chaotic. It feels like there are 20 waiters walking around but they don't seem to be serving anyone. You wait and nothing is cleared away. Not even the cards?! Be careful with the warm starters, they are called tapas size, that was almost a whole meal! And yes, there is a strange cream on the sushi that is not on the menu. All in all, not recommended. A sobering experience.

Great service received from 2 young waiter . I didn’t get their names but I recall one of them is originally from Ukraine, he speak English as well and he was very helpful with our questions. It was very helpful.

We were there at lunchtime. 3 adults and 6 year old child. Paid 22.90 euros per person except for the child. There are no prices listed for children. I don't think it's good. Sushi itself, tasted ok, nothing special. Duck was very dry. We wouldn't come anymore.

Die Watami Sky Lounge befindet sich in der 13. Etage mit Blick über Kempten und auf die Berge. Es gibt Sushi All You Can Eat. Im Übrigen kann man auch anderes asiatisches Essen in Tapas-Größe bestellen zu kleinen Preisen und auch dies als All You Can Eat. Die positiven Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen: Beim Sushi war die Konsistenz des Maki leicht gummihaft. Auch das übrige Sushi war eher durchschnittlich. Die warmen Speisen eher durchwachsen. Frittierte Calamari-Ringe waren angebrannt. Der gegrillte Tintenfisch wurde lieblos präsentiert und auch die übrigen Speisen hatten eher Imbiss-Niveau. Das Personal war weitestgehend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Service teilweise schleppend. So musste einer von uns 30 Minuten beim All You Can Est auf das Sushi warten. Als wir eine Mitarbeiterin darauf ansprachen, meinte sie, sie könnte nichts machen, wenn das bestellte Essen noch nicht serviert wurde. Ein anderer Kollege, den wir ansprachen, kümmerte sich dann um das Problem und das Essen wurde kurz danach serviert. Vermutlich lockt All You Can Eat die Menschen an, die darüber die Qualität vergessen. Insgesamt war der Spaß am Ende auch nicht billig. Sicher kein Restaurant, in das ich nochmals gehen werde.

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den Besuch zu einem rundum gelungenen Erlebnis macht. Die Atmosphäre in der Skylounge ist sehr angenehm. Went there for dinner with friends. Super tasty, served quickly. Great atmosphere

I'm disappointed. My son raved to me about what a great restaurant it was. The place is clean, no doubt, but cozy is probably different for everyone. We were there on Saturday evening when it opened at 5:30 p.m. Thought it was a good idea, it wasn't quite. The food was okay. Everyone at our table got their food differently and we couldn't eat together or talk together. My sweet potato fries were overly crispy and almost charred, my duck was no longer duck but more crispy than meat. Someone at my table had also ordered the duck a little earlier than me, it was totally different and tastier. A lot of things were just too dry. Even my son was very disappointed. The baked banana was too dry, looked completely different than the picture and didn't taste good at all. It was sometimes disturbing. People run into their place, in the end you don't know why, the view? It was dark and foggy and this couldn't be the case that evening. You really have to eat a lot for the money of €36.90. But I was full after just 5 small tapas because I had lost my appetite. Thank God there was someone at our table who didn't let that bother us. As said or written, uncomfortable and not recommended for someone who loves food and celebrates it. Service very nice and accommodating. The stars here are probably thrown together and the result is an intersection. Food for me between 1 + 2 stars. Service 5 stars. Ambience within the restaurant 2 to 3 stars. I can't rate anything else because we were there in the evening in winter. Simply huge disappointment for this price-performance ratio. I was hoping for more.

I found the food delicious. The spring rolls, rice and fried noodles were really nice. The “All You Can Eat” thing is really cool with the tablets. We liked it. The non-alcoholic cocktails are really tasty, especially the one with strawberry. Really really tasty!!! All the waiters were very friendly. So this is really a highlight for Kempten. It is recommended!

Something completely different - great! Were there yesterday as a couple. The concept of ordering via mobile phone is new for us. So you are constantly supplied with small plates of Asian dishes. It's not exactly cheap - especially drinks. But the taste was really first class. We'll definitely come back.

Ambience is the best, panoramic view over Kempten

We were there for the evening all you can eat (which is delivered to the table at the push of a button) The food was delicious, hot, fresh and the service was very friendly. Ordering only works via cell phone, which makes perfect sense when you take a closer look at the order quantity! The minus star from me is that some of the tables are a bit squashed. But it could also be due to the individual groups, for which several tables had to be pushed together.

Great view! I can only recommend All You Can Eat. Unfortunately, there was a lot going on and it often took a long time until we got our food. But top quality. I think the price is a bit excessive in the evenings and weekends. You have to pay extra for the drinks.

A large selection of delicious dishes. Round after round we order via smartphone and most of the time the right food arrived 😄 We had a very nice evening here.

In general, the food is good, the service is quick and everything is clean, except for the fact that at 1:30 p.m. both towel dispensers in the men's toilet were already empty. It's a shame that orders are always forgotten. I think it's a good idea to reduce food waste, but a moderate surcharge is charged, which is donated to the Kempten food bank. For me, according to the list, it was 2 euros, which I'm really happy to pay. However, the waitress suddenly wanted 9 euros from me, which I protested against and he spoke to the boss. He immediately came rushing towards me with big strides without greeting (even though I had already greeted him) and immediately started arguing with me, but seemed to be the one arguing in front of me. He could have saved himself the argument because he only wanted 2 euros from me. The waitress obviously misunderstood me and thought I wanted to take the food with me instead of making the donation. Then I would have been charged according to the ticket price. However, I didn't want that at all. Instead, the boss could have discussed this with me calmly and sorted it out. This appearance from the boss completely spoiled what had previously been such a lovely meal for us. We won't be coming back! However, the boss will hardly care about this, since the guests are rushing into the restaurant through all the doors, so he even has to send guests away again and again. When we went downstairs, the boss on the 11th floor got up with a Go board (a board game for two players and is considered the most complex of all strategy games known worldwide). I greeted him again in a friendly manner. He didn't say a word, bowed his head, curled his back and stayed like that until we got to the ground floor. In my opinion, a sad figure!

An sich ist das Essen gut, die Bedienungen flott und alles sauber, bis auf das mittags um 13:30 Uhr bereits beide Handtuchspender in der Herrentoilette leer waren. Schade, dass Bestellungen immer wieder vergessen werden. Gut finde ich die Idee um Essensverschwendung zu reduzieren dafür ein moderater Aufschlag verlangt wird, der an die Tafel Kempten gespendet wird. Bei mir waren das laut Liste 2 Euro, die ich auch wirklich gerne zahle. Jedoch die Bedienung wollte dann plötzlich 9 Euro dafür von mir haben, wogegen ich protestierte und er sprach mit dem Chef. Dieser kam sofort grußlos mit großen Schritten auf mich zugestürmt (obgleich ich ihn schon gegrüßt habe) und fing gleich das Streiten mit mir an, und war aber mir vor der Streitbare zu sein. Den Streit hätte er sich sparen können, da auch er nur 2 Euro von mir wollte. Die Bedienung hatte mich offensichtlich fehl verstanden und dachte ich wolle das Essen mitnehmen anstatt die Spende zu leisten. Dann wäre es mir laut Kartenpreis berechnet worden. Jedoch das wollte ich gar nicht. Stattdessen hätte der Chef das mit mir in Ruhe bereden und regeln können. Dieser Auftritt vom Chef hat uns das zuvor so schöne Essen komplett verhagelt. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen! Jedoch wird das den Chef kaum kümmern, da ihm doch die Gäste durch alle Türen hindurch das Restaurant geradezu einrennen, so dass er sogar immer wieder Gäste wegschicken muss. Beim Runterfahren stieg der Chef im 11. Stock mit einem Go-Brett zu (Ein Brettspiel für zwei Spieler und gilt als das komplexeste aller weltweit bekannten Strategiespiele.), ich grüßte wiederum freundlich. Er blieb grußlos, senkte seinen Kopf, rollte seinen Rücken zusammen und verblieb so, bis wir im Erdgeschoss ankamen. Meiner Meinung nach eine traurige Figur!

Alles war super. Sehr schöner Ausblick, sehr gutes und leckeres Essen. Deer nette Mitarbeiter mit einem sehr netten Roboter.

If the restaurant is full, you have to wait up to 10/30 minutes for your maximum of 5 dishes ordered on your cell phone, even if you visit twice. Some of which are also served individually. This means that if you order duck with noodles, both come separately, 15 minutes apart. In addition, the duck and chicken were dry again like they were on the first visit. They also charge 4.50+ per drink. Which is already intense. Maybe you should take a look at the competition in Austria from the Eby chain. You pay significantly less for the same quality and faster service. We think that ordering via cell phone makes sense for the entrepreneur, but then it seems like a fast food restaurant. Everyone is on their cell phones. I think having a tray per table leads to more communication between guests.
