AB-Restaurant in Kempten (Allgäu)

Always good. We like to eat here. Totally friendly and authentic staff. Food is beautifully prepared and tastes fresh and delicious.

We were a large group and our reservation was at 7pm. Once everyone had arrived and were ready to order, we couldn’t locate a staff member and had to go find one. It was 37mins from our reservation time until water arrived at our table. Perhaps I was simply unlucky, but my drink order arrived a good few minutes after the rest of the table’s. The birthday cheers took place without my drink’s arrival. To add insult to injury, my food order also arrived ten minutes after the rest of the table’s food and to top it off, the sushi was subpar at best. It tasted as if it was prepared hours ago despite the signicant delay. This is not the first time that I’ve been disappointed by the quality of food and sadly, I won’t be returning any time soon.

We ordered a starter, main course and dessert and paid around €60 for the two of us. For the main course we had fried sushi and it was an 11/10. Very highly recommended. It was even served really nicely with dry ice. Nice staff and fast service. We can definitely recommend it and would love to come back tomorrow :)

Friendly welcome, friendly service - could have been a little more attentive, unfortunately it took a long time to order a second drink. Large selection of dishes. The starter came quickly and was very good, as was the main course. Ambience ok, the best was made of the existing conditions, the building is already ancient. A little more expensive, but ok.

Everything's OK... but it could be better. Comparison with Kokono Ulm = worlds behind, especially in terms of taste... Food was good, but unfortunately nothing more. I think the main course was with glutamate :-) which didn't please my stomach. The taste of the soup was unfortunately very neutral M1 Sup Chai, noodles C1 With chicken... hmmm spices, taste explosion nil and that for an Asian. Chilli and soy sauce were not on the table, and we were not asked if we needed anything else. Food was mixed up between the tables even though the restaurant was only 30% busy. Unfortunately, you just felt like a customer, not a guest. Ambience OK... but kept pretty dark. OK for me once, but not more often in the future. Things are definitely getting better. But there will be a second chance

Relatively tasteless pho ga made with purchased noodles and the broth made with powder. Not like you're used to in Vietnam. Sushi was okay, but not outstanding either.

Had a main course, it was very tasty, but the portion size was a bit too small. We have ordered suhi several times, of course maybe a little more, but then we were full. The portions in the restaurant are too small. I think the price is ok

I was really in the mood for Vietnamese and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Service is very friendly and quick, the house tea warmed me up nicely, the Phô noodle soup was nice and clear and very aromatic. The spring rolls are very generously filled and were super crispy for me. My main course came to my table still steaming. An absolute recommendation!

The food is very good across the board. Be it starters, soups, main courses, everything is delicious and homemade. I'm just wondering, what are fried onions doing here! The service is Asian inattentive, there is room for improvement here.

Rarely do you get such good and authentic Asian food as here. Top. From the outside you wouldn't expect what a pearl is hidden here.

The Ab restaurant in Kempten is simply fantastic! From the warm welcome to the last bite, our visit was a real experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special event. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is an absolute delight. The menu offers a great selection of dishes prepared with great attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh ingredients and the creative combinations that make every course something special. The wine list rounds the whole thing off perfectly and leaves nothing to be desired We will definitely come back and can recommend the Ab-Restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience in Kempten. Five stars are actually not enough for this great experience!! 😍

The food tasted really great, but the service was unfortunately... poor. It took forever for someone to come to take the order. Empty drinks were ignored - you can't wave anyone over if no one is looking or passing by. Even after dinner, it was hard to see anyone from whom you could order dessert or ask for the bill. When the waitress was on her way at a signal, she was 'intercepted' at the neighboring table and didn't find her way to us even after that... Despite the delicious food, the visit was unfortunately not quite as pleasant as it could have been. Maybe order 'take away' instead. PS: 'Spicy' is a very individual feeling - but if I order a Vietnamese dish explicitly as extra spicy and then get something that even my small children don't find spicy, I also feel a bit disappointed. I expect at least a hint of spiciness from Asians!

Super friendly service and super delicious food. Recommended: lukewarm glass noodle salads and pho! The house tea is also really tasty.

Immer wieder, wir waren schon ein paar Mal im AB und ich liebe es. Egal was man ist, es ist alles sehr gut. Am liebesten esse ich das rote Curry oder eine PHO. Service ist immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wenn asiatisch dann nir noch ins AB....

We eat there very often and are so impressed every time! We moved here from Munich and even there we didn't have an Asian restaurant where almost everything tasted so incredibly fine and fresh. The sushi, the soups, the meat and especially the bun are amazing! Staff super friendly!! Absolute recommendation!

Very nice welcome and nice decor. Very authentic food. An absolute highlight for us.

The ambience is clean, tablecloths on the table and the interior is reminiscent of a snack bar. The building is getting old. Toilets are really old. The service was nice and forthcoming. The food is totally overpriced. An order costs 4 euros and then you get a handful of pasta in a bowl. I had chicken with peanut sauce which tasted very thin. My partner's food didn't taste good. The portions are very small and overpriced.

A quick decision after visiting the museum. And the decision was 100% right. Everything was fine. The food was so delicious. Big portion. The vegetables were crunchy, the crispy chicken so crispy and the sauce to die for. The service excellent. We will come back.

Great Asian restaurant. I tried: WAN-TAN soup (best I've ever had), sushi (always freshly prepared) and a main course (beef, see photo), whose name I unfortunately forgot. All dishes are freshly prepared, with lots of fresh vegetables. Great! The staff is also very nice and accommodating. I'll definitely come back.

Wan tans were about 10 x 10 cm, folded squares with a piece of meat measuring about 1 x 1 cm inside, which was quite cheeky for almost €6. The quality of the main courses was good but I had a strange off-taste at times, I'm not sure if that was due to the spices. Delivery portions are very small and generally quite expensive

The meal was okay. I would classify it as average. The atmosphere is quite nice. The waitresses were very attentive at the beginning, but later on they were hard to find. But they were always friendly.

Papaya salad and sushi were very good and the others at the table were also enthusiastic. very friendly service, very good quality and freshly prepared. Anytime again 👍

The waitresses are quick and polite. The food tastes fantastic. The selection is extensive, everyone gets their money's worth. Price-performance ratio is appropriate. The store is clean, tidy and very nicely decorated. There are cute paintings on the wall. We enjoy eating there regularly :)

Das AB ist inzwischen so eine Art monatliches Ritual bei meinen Kollegen und auch in der Familie. Wir lieben das leckere Essen in seiner Vielfalt und entdecken doch immer etwas Neues. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, auch zu Späßchen aufgelegt. Es ist wie heimzukommen :)

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen ein Gedicht. Frisches Gemüse auf den Punkt gegart. Das Fleisch klasse und die Soßen einfach lecker. Mein Geheimtipp.

Immer wieder bestes Thai-Curry mit knuspriger Ente, auch ohne Koriander möglich. Die Pho-Suppe ist sehr würzig und lecker mit den extra Sprossen und Kräutern. Auch Mittags eine große Portion. Empfehlenswert und erfrischend ist auch der Kokosmilch-"Cocktail" (alkoholfrei).

Leckeres Essen, super Bedienung und tolles Flair. Wir sind gerne regelmäßig dort und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Sushi oder Reis/Nudelgerichte - alle top.

Unverschämt. Einfach unverschämt. Wir waren früher regelmäßig hier und haben auch oft bestellt. Aber das werden wir auf jeden Fall nie wieder tun. Bei der letzten Bestellung wurde schlechter Thunfisch beim Sushi verwendet! Er hat gerochen und muffig geschmeckt! Sowas darf bei Sushi nicht passieren! Wir haben dann noch ein weiteres Mal mit Freunden bestellt. Es wurden 2 Sushi Menüs vergessen bzw. Nicht vollständig geliefert. Kann passieren. Aber was ich dann erlebt habe.. So etwas unfreundliches und unverschämtes! Es gab eine Riesen Diskussion „Die Karte ist neu“ - aber das ist weder auf der Website noch auf Lieferando (wo wir bestellt haben) zu lesen. Anstatt man uns entgegenkommt, wurde ich dumm angemacht, angeschrieben und zwei Mal weggedrückt! Und dann kam der „freundliche“ Liefermann noch einmal vorbei. Aber nicht um uns das Sushi zu bringen für das wir bezahlt haben. Nein! Sondern um uns die neue Karte zu bringen! Nie wieder!
