Warsteiner am Stadttheater in Kempten (Allgäu)

I was very disappointed overall. The portion size was completely disproportionate to the price. Furthermore, I was informed that Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) couldn't be served with the Allgäu platter. As a replacement, I received only two croquettes and two small Rösti (potato pancakes), which was neither a quality nor a quantity adequate alternative. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected significantly more.

My visit to this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. Despite using the discount voucher, the value for money was rather poor. The quality of the food, such as the croquettes and potato rösti, was more reminiscent of discount supermarket fare, and the meat was only average. The beer tasted flat. Furthermore, the atmosphere was rather unpleasant, making the visit feel uncomfortable. The service was also underwhelming, and overall, the price was far too high for the quality offered. All in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We wanted to eat at the Warsteiner restaurant on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM! The owner very rudely informed us that the kitchen was closed at that time! We had specifically checked the website beforehand, which stated that they were open all day Sunday from 11:00 AM! There was no mention of hot food only being served at certain times! I told the owner this, and he very rudely replied that we would have a hard time finding a restaurant with hot food served all day on Sundays! I then said that I could think of several places, since many people eat out on Sundays! The owner then said, very annoyed and irritated, that he wanted to see for himself!!! He wanted to start an argument with me, which I refused to allow, as we left the Warsteiner to eat somewhere else! Furthermore, he addressed me informally from the very beginning, which I found outrageous! So, the Warsteiner is definitely NOT recommended!!!

Coupon book. Not really suitable for children. Food was okay. The floor wasn't very clean, old curtains...

A bit "old school" but great, and unfortunately too expensive for our taste.

Based on the voucher book, we arrived at this completely empty restaurant during peak lunchtime. Upon entering, we immediately noticed that the carpeting was extremely dirty, and the place was probably past its prime. Considering the price, we expected better quality. When we paid, we were given a hand-smeared slip of paper. Overall, it's a shame and I wouldn't recommend it. Next time, we'll go the 50 meters further to Kebab of Masters, where you can get better food for less money.

Mega restaurant. Very friendly service. Food was simply outstanding. We had the best beef with cheese spaetzle prepared with so much love and very large portions. We are always very critical when it comes to food, but everything was just right here! Even the Italian Primitivo red wine. We'd love to come back to eat and drink anytime 💋

Never go there again, the landlord talks stupidly to the guests, and his wife can't cook at all, the salad comes from a can and the food is from a fryer, and you pay a lot of money for that. The innkeeper's arrogant behavior is ridiculous. There are better places in Kempten where you can go to eat. The furnishings are so old and the chairs are completely worn out, just terrible. And with the live bands, this place can't get any better. If you go there, it's your own fault. The website advertises fresh food...so Tk True and canned salad isn't freshly cooked. Take a look at the prices that Warsteiner advertises, it will make you dizzy and almost impudent.

Good and cheap food and drink, great hosts to entertain you

There were 4 of us there because of the gourmet block. It was outstanding. Appropriate portions. Top meat and very nice hosts. I can't understand the negative reviews and I can't understand what these guests want or what makes them happy. We'll definitely be back. Thanks

We were there with 13 people and we all got our food together. The host is really great and I think the landlady cooks. We would love to come back

Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The mushroom sauce was extremely watery, tasted like old frozen food and the mushrooms had a very strange consistency. The second dish was ok, but in general the dishes do not live up to the prices. We somehow didn't feel comfortable/welcome during our stay either. Too bad :-(

Based on the prices you would expect fine dining. The food wasn't bad, but not appropriate for the price range. Were there because of the voucher book, but also the last time because of standard food and high prices. Ambiance is also more like a pub. Overall we were shocked by the price/performance ratio so we can't recommend it. Salad wasn't good at all. The carrots were terrible and, from our guess, canned. The meat was okay and the fries too, but not exceptional as you would expect.

The four of us went to the Warsteiner at the city theater for the first time on Saturday evening. The Schlemmerblock took us there. We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The waiter/boss is very attentive and takes his time with the customers. The atmosphere is quaint and fun. The food was top and was freshly prepared. I usually hardly write any reviews but I can really recommend the store. We will be back!

A very friendly and attentive service that responds to individual requests. The food was delicious and the drinks were good too, we had nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was pleasant and, above all, not too loud and crowded, as is unfortunately the case in other restaurants these days. All in all, we had a lovely evening at Warsteiner, will be back and can recommend a visit.

We became aware of the Warsteiner through the “Schlemmerblock”. I previously thought that this was "just" a small pub, BUT the food was delicious and the service was great very nice and friendly. Will definitely come back - even without a voucher.

We ended up here via the Schlemmerblock. Conclusion: You don't have to have it, if you weren't here, you didn't miss anything. Service was ok, food mediocre at best.

Highly recommended, the price is absolutely fair and both the food and service are really good. Very warm and cozy. The steaks may be a bit expensive for some, but good quality also costs money and the prices are really fair. Happy to come back! :)

Very tasty food. I recommend the pan with handmade Maultaschen. The waiter was very friendly and one of the old school, which is far too rare to find these days. You had the feeling that he enjoyed his work and the food also seemed to be lovingly prepared. A really successful evening!

The service was nice but brought us the wrong drinks. For dishes that cost more than €22 per person, they really weren't good. My colleague and I both felt very bad afterwards and both threw up in the evening. Prices too expensive for such small dishes. I'm talking for 4 people here.

Der erste Eindruck täuscht, gutes Essen mit abwechslungsreicher Speisekarte. Die Chefin geht auch auf Sonderwünsche ohne Probleme ein. Chef und Chefin sehr nett. Vom WoMo Stellplatz nur 3-5 Gehminuten entfernt. Wir würden da jeder Zeit wieder hin gehen. Dienstag und Mittwoch Ruhetag.

Sehr gutes Rumpsteak, Spaghetti mit sehr kleinen Shrimps, Käsespätzle so lala. Alles in einem gutes Essen, leider war der Russ Lack und ohne Kohlensäure:(
