Great service, a chic shop, and above all, delicious food. There were six of us, and everything was delicious. We had chicken karaage and the kimchi pancake. I was able to try ribs at my neighbor's place. Normally not my thing, these won me over because they were super tender. I'd be happy to go back. But I'd rather go without dessert. Both cakes were too sweet for me.

Great!! After visiting an exhibition, the four of us had a lovely time. Each of the 8 dishes was particularly delicious in its own way. The pierogi, the kimchi pancakes, the grilled pointed cabbage were an exciting journey through international cuisines. Many thanks also to the friendly and fast team for the lovely evening hours.

The food at Wallczka was absolutely fantastic – fresh, creative and tasty. I'm really a fan of that. However, the experience all around was a bit frustrating. The restaurant works with a fixed time slot of 2 hours per reservation - in our case from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is fundamentally understandable. But... Since it was our first time there, we asked for a recommendation on how many dishes to order per person. We were recommended "two", so we ordered 8 dishes for 4 people - assuming we could order more later if there wasn't enough. The wait for the food was completely understandable – it was a Saturday evening, the kitchen was obviously busy, and the food was freshly prepared. Everything is fine, we completely understand that. What we couldn't quite understand, however, was the fixed 2-hour time slot in combination with dishes that take time. If it takes almost an hour for the food to arrive (which is okay!), there's little time to enjoy it - let alone order more. When we wanted to order something else at 7:30 p.m., we were told that this was no longer possible because our table was only available until 8 p.m. Unfortunately, that spoiled the overall impression. It's just a shame to leave a restaurant hungry when the food is so good. And it doesn't feel good when you end up feeling like you're being dismissed - even though everyone was very friendly.

Very cozy cafe for breakfast. We weren't completely happy because the orange juice was out and there was no straw for the Aperol. Otherwise everything was delicious. It would be great if there were a few cake variations on the menu.

The dishes are sometimes quite creative, sometimes rather carelessly prepared, but the taste is good and the bread is very tasty. Overall, it's just too expensive for what you get. The seating is very tight, the daily menu is on a board somewhere, but you have to squeeze past various guests on the way. The most unpleasant thing we noticed was that you were given a time slot for your stay. There's no point in just sitting comfortably and drinking a little wine. Hospitality looks different, everything is strictly aimed at profit.

The food is served in beautifully presented tapas portions and is perfect for sharing! It's nice that there are many different vegetable dishes and you can also get your fill healthily here. The service was courteous. The ambience is very minimalist and it is a bit cramped. I would always make a reservation. If the ambience isn't important to you, you can eat really well here.

Food was great, service not okay. We waited over an hour for our food and then still had 50 minutes to eat because of the 2 hour time slot.

We've been here for the 4th time now. The food was always very tasty and top. However, the service could point out if it took a little longer. When we came the restaurant was almost empty and we waited over an hour for the food, which I don't find that exciting! What is not possible, however, given the high prices, is to receive tip instructions at the end on the bill about how much tip you should give, divided into % and satisfied, happy and speechless (over 10%). I was speechless too, but not in a good way! I find that very outrageous and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's upset about it! So please don't do something like that, it's not appropriate to print it on the invoice! Guests are not small children who need to be taught! (And for some it certainly has the exact opposite effect: namely that there are no tips!)

Had a great time at Wallczka! The food was fantastic, and the service was super friendly. The staff even helped us decide what to order, which was really nice. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends. It was packed when we went, which added to the lively and fun vibe. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Absolute recommendation! The mezze are just the thing to try out and share with two or three people. A wide range of options for vegetarians, but anyone who craves meat will also find what they're looking for. Totally attentive and friendly service! Definitely try it out!

Super nice restaurant with very nice staff - but the food is unfortunately disproportionately expensive - everything tastes good, but €40 per person for 2.5 mezzes each is not justified in terms of quality. There's nothing special about the food - sometimes the simplest things like salt and pepper were missing. And also: Immediately afterwards, both of them came out running smoothly again. 🤭

Very tasty dishes, large selection of vegetarian dishes and special flavor combinations. It drafts a little inside and is therefore a bit cold. Otherwise highly recommended.

The service is always amazing and everything I have ever tried here was great. The portions are a good size with a lot of fine flavours and cakes and coffee are amazing too. The only thing that never manages to convince me is the rösti which is usually soggy and greasy instead of crispy.

We ordered 4 different mezzes; Wild herbs salad, Flatbread white, Handmade Pierogi, Salmon Arancini Fried Risotto Balls. After the meal we ordered Crème Brûlée. Everything was great, definitely delicious, people working were so kind and helpful.

Be it spare ribs, kaarage chicken or wild boar sausage, all very good food, we decided to come back and try out the entire menu

Very friendly, pleasant staff, quick and unobtrusive. Parking is possible if you are lucky or in the parking garage 5 minutes away.

Subbelrather Strasse, on the outskirts of the city, is a real insider tip for fans of advanced gourmet culture. There is, among other things, a great wine shop, a fine little Italian butcher/snack bar, ambitious cafes/bakeries - and the Wallczka. Atmospheric, distinctive bistro with a weekly menu that changes daily, creative evening dishes and a varied breakfast menu. Everything is prepared with love. Classics of the house: the imaginative mezze in the evening. For lunch we had great pierogi, which took me back to old Poland/Russia travel adventures, and great potato rosti with various toppings. All served by consistently charming and attentive service. Plus lots of creative hot drinks, homemade lemonades and a good selection of wines. Absolutely worthwhile visit!

I have been able to highly recommend the location and the menu for several years now, even if the price structure is on the higher side. Unfortunately, it is often very crowded and therefore sometimes it is acoustically difficult to have a conversation. Unfortunately, I didn't find the toilets really clean today again, which doesn't match the standard of the restaurant.

Super nice staff, even without a reservation we managed to get a table and were given a very warm welcome! Very good food and, despite the tapas concept, sufficiently large portions! I would have loved to buy a loaf of bread because it was so delicious! 💗

Great food! Super nice people who work there. I'd love to come back. The star deduction for the ambience is because, at least in winter, when the door opens, a cold breeze always blows through the restaurant. In my opinion, the white tables don't really fit into the otherwise very cozy restaurant, natural wood would be better :) But all of this is complaining at a high level. I'm already looking forward to the next time :)

Have eaten there many times over the years. Both for breakfast and in the evening. The price-performance ratio is right in my opinion. Food is always really great. There is still room for improvement when it comes to cocktails and long drinks. Really not that great, so I prefer wine. When it comes to service, it's like in all stores: It depends on who is working, with how much experience and know-how. A little more attentiveness would be good. Unfortunately, the acoustics at full house are a disaster. Overly loud. But that doesn't stop us from continuing to come.

I cannot understand the large number of positive reviews because the offering and quality are rather average. The breakfast was carelessly prepared with watery scrambled eggs, the coffee was so-so, the service was more of the inattentive variety and the sober ambience doesn't exactly invite you to linger. Given the prices, I get more for less elsewhere and feel more comfortable.

Very nice resto with a small menu and unusual dishes. Nice drinks menu and great service - I felt welcome as a guest! The ambience is rather spartan and since the restaurant was relatively empty (lunchtime) I didn't find it all that cozy - it's a matter of taste

Great restaurant in Neuehrenfeld. The food is really exceptionally tasty and the small portions mean you can try a lot of different things. The cakes for dessert are also unbeatably good. The staff is discreet, very friendly and professional. The rooms are barrier-free and the toilet is accessible for wheelchair users. Absolute recommendation!

Delicious food, lots of vegan options and great, nice service

I went there twice because friends of mine wanted to go. The menu consists of a kind of modern East-West fusion cuisine. It has Asian as well as Polish influences. Unfortunately, the implementation of the individual notes in the dishes can still be improved and overall the taste of the kimchi pancake doesn't harmonize for me. The dough is too thick. The Sauvignon Blanc was delicious. I think the atmosphere is beautiful, so it's a good idea for a date. Otherwise I wouldn't necessarily go here because of the food.

Nice atmosphere, good selection of drinks, very tasty food. Depending on the selection, 2-3 mezzes per person are enough to fill you up. The only drawback: the 2-hour reservation slot is too short for a leisurely meal with an aperitif and coffee.

We were in Wallczka for the first time. As is often the case with vegans and meat eaters...everyone found what they were looking for in Wallczka. And very tasty. Our two dogs weren't a problem either (but had mentioned them when making the reservation as a precaution). The service was excellent. Conclusion: An all-round successful evening! We'll be back.

It was incredible! The principle of this establishment is that you choose 2-4 small dishes. I was surprised at how you need to order, then they bring a sheet of paper where all the dishes are written and you need to cross out what you want to try today. My recommendation is dumplings and goat cheese, it was very tasty.

Menu sufficient but still quite “short” at 1:30 p.m. Food ok But partly without the ingredients mentioned (salmon without creme fraiche) and moderately seasoned. Sweet potato fries overpriced. Service quite friendly. In terms of price, it's on the higher end. You sit outside on simple chairs right on the street.

A nice and welcoming place, simple in management, with interesting ideas of fusion of flavours, between traditional ingredients and Mediterranean and oriental ideas; some very successful, a couple a little less. my advice is to take several dishes to share, as is done at tables in countries such as Greece or the Middle East. Good quality/price balance

Exceptionally good food for very reasonable prices.

Try this place out for a weekend brunch. These are really generous portions and they do fill you up a lot. All the dishes we ordered were tasty and delicious. Service was great and it is just a very quaint setup which is a real change to the manicured places that you usually find.

There are one or two good restaurants in Ehrenfeld, but sometimes you can also find hidden gems like WALLCZKA that just go one better. The food deserves 6 stars rather than 5 stars. A great atmosphere and service that you rarely experience anymore. Our waitress (Annouschka?) was simply great. Mega friendly, competent, funny and warm. Be sure to ask her about her culinary insider tips!!! All in all an absolute recommendation!
