Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews. Since the change of ownership nothing has been the same as it was before. The meat patties are very small, not a single gram is given, everything is topped with mustard and the supposed onions in the burger were completely missing. When I asked, I got the answer. “I shouldn’t complain…” luckily you can write here what it was like: absolutely not recommended!

This is the best burger I’ve ever had. Super cozy environment and the staff are diligent and out the way.

I've never eaten such a good burger. Everything handmade. You can taste every nuance, fine aromas, excellently balanced. The meat is crispy, spicy and slightly caramelized. The sauces are a taste explosion. Not to be outdone.

Seven eight years ago the store was still called Beef Brothers. Back then, the burger was still an absolute sensation. It used to be a brilliant and simple burger made from a normal bread, good meat, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, ketchup. Meanwhile, the normal burger has none of the aforementioned attributes. it has no bite, no good taste, but contains porridge. Too much fat.

We were in the store for the first time and absolutely loved it. The selection is large and you can notice the good quality. The burgers were super juicy.

A nice burger joint in the Belgische Viertel. The fries were top notch, I also enjoyed the truffle sauce. The smashburger was also technically done, however it was topped with a lot of ketchup. I would prefer maybe one third of the amount and the option to get some mayo or some normal burger sauce instead.

Unfortunately, I assumed that the quality of the Beef Brothers would be maintained. But the burger and fries are far from that. I ordered a burger with avocado and fries with truffle mayo and a rhubarb spritzer. The burger was prepared with a very cheap ready-made sauce. The avocado was a touch. The fries were way too soft and the truffle mayo also tasted very cheap. All in all, I really can't understand the good reviews because for me it was a tasteless meal for €17.50. Not comparable to Burger Brothers.

The saltiest burger i have ever had. No taste, just salt!

The price is okay, but for the price you can eat much better burgers in the area, and the fries weren't particularly good either. However, the “service” was a real disgrace. There wasn't much going on and there were at least three of the guys in the store. While the people next to us were getting their food brought to the table, the employee from the inside kept knocking on the window until we noticed him. This is to signal to us that we should get our own food. So we were obviously second class customers and no service was apparent. The tables around us weren't cleared for ages. For me the shop downstairs is over, I won't be coming back.

Outstanding burger experience! With a super central location, the burger joint is the perfect place to treat yourself to a break in the middle of the city and enjoy a really tasty burger. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The meat is juicy and grilled to perfection, the buns are soft but sturdy enough to hold the burger together, and the selection of fresh vegetables and toppings leaves nothing to be desired. The beautiful outdoor terrace is particularly worth mentioning. It offers a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for lunch or a relaxed dinner al fresco. It's the perfect place to get together with friends or just soak up the sun while eating one of the best burgers in town. Overall, this burger joint offers not only excellent food but also a great environment to enjoy it. A visit here is definitely worth it!

The burger shop is located directly on Aachener Straße. There is no direct parking space. It's best to use the "Rudolfplatz underground car park". At the burger shop itself there are a few tables outside and only 3 to 5 small tables inside. The ambience doesn't invite you to linger for long. The service is super friendly and the burger was world class. (That's what matters). The prices are in the medium to high segment but are worth every euro. Never had a better smash burger! Delicious burger buns, juicy patties, large selection of toppings and sauces for the fries. But the general rise in prices is also noticeable here. Burgers/fries from ~14 € upwards.

I ordered a salad for 13.90 with chicken. What arrived? A "salad" with a few leaves, far too dry, not enough sauce and 3 small pieces of meat. An absolute disgrace. The first and last visit.👎🏽

Ruffs Burger in Cologne is an absolute must for all burger lovers! The service was first class - the staff was super friendly, attentive and accommodating. the food: The burgers are simply delicious! Juicy, perfectly seasoned and topped with the freshest ingredients. I had the classic/hamburger and was blown away by the quality of the meat The fries were crispy and salted just right, and the homemade sauces were the perfect complement. The selection of drinks is also excellent, with lots of refreshing lemonades. There are also delicious vegetarian and vegan options, which I really appreciate.

Burger okay overall but below average - won't be coming back

Bad service. There was nothing going on and the one burger arrived after 20 minutes. The other one only after 25-30 minutes and there were two of us there. Should everyone eat alone or what?

Great place! The prices are totally worth it for the quality of the burguer! It’s amazing, I had the smash and I believe it was the best burguer I had in koln so far!

For burgers you have to go here!! The boss has to look for employees who want to work. There is one walking around at a snail's pace that is not suitable for the catering industry!! Grab your own drink (0.4 liters) Inside there is room for 12 people

If you like falafel, you can get the falafel burger. The sweet potato fries were very tasty. So both can really be recommended :)

Ruffs Burger: It's audacious that the old reviews are attributed to the "new" store. I was here last week and had a Smashburger. This one was the most disgusting of my life. The meat was rubbery and roasted flavors were non-existent. It was the first time I had to have a burger put down after two bites as it was just disgusting. In addition, there was a massive smell of chlorine in the restaurant... Not even remotely an adequate replacement for the Beefbrothers. Definitely not a child anymore. Beefbrothers: The best burgers I know... with fries with aioli and the day is saved - provided there is a seat. But somehow it has always worked despite its small size. Need you in southern Germany ;)

I absolutely can't imagine that it shouldn't be so good anymore, I remember it from Severinstrasse 59, Cologne and it was absolutely awesome and delicious there.

It's unbelievable what a change can entail. I've known the store since the Beef Brothers days and have done so for years. Whenever I wanted a burger, this place was the first place that came to mind! You were never disappointed in terms of taste, always super juicy burgers and cheerful employees. Price, performance and quality were almost perfect! You got a decent amount for your money. Since the last visit to Ruffs Burger, a lot has developed for the worse. Staff are bored and can't manage to get a small order in order. A large selection of drinks has become just Coca-Cola & water and the portions are a joke. A final opponent when it comes to burgers has become game over!

The Belgian fries were nice and thick, but way too salty, and the onion rings were too greasy Burger way too much sauce, the meat was well fried but the taste and texture didn't match, the cheese on the meat wasn't melted properly... :( I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach afterwards. What a shame! :(

To be honest, we expected more as we still knew the place from Beef Brothers times and remembered it as one of the best burgers in Cologne. The bread was dry and the fries were fried for too long. Nothing sensational in terms of taste either. However, the service was very friendly and there are also veggie & vegan options.

Leider sehr, sehr wenig Platz im Lokal, so dass man bei kaltem Wetter entweder im Stehen isst oder sich den Platz mit Bruno dem Axtmörder teilen muss. Da aber der Geschmack für die Qual der Essensaufnahme entschädigt, ist Beef Brothers mittlerweile mein persönlicher Maßstab für jegliche Form des Fleisch-im-Brötchen. Alle Burger werden ab jetzt hier dran gemessen.

Hatte einen Cheeseburger im Menü mit Pommes. Das Brot war meiner Meinung nach viel zu dick und das Patty im Vergleich zu dünn. Der Bürger war auch eher lauwarm und hatte keinen Geschmack. Da konnte auch das kleine bisschen Ketchup im Burger nichts dran ändern. Die Pommes waren okay, aber die Portion recht klein. Für die gebotene Qualität bzw. Portion war der Preis definitiv zu hoch! Das Ambiente war karg und sehr kalt - es gab keine Heizung.

Richtig leckere Burger, echt zu empfehlen

Die Mitarbeiter sind leider unfähig, ich verstehe nicht, wie man eine einfache Bestellung versauen kann. Falscher Burger (bin vegan, der Burger war nicht vegan), keine Soßen dabei - das alles nicht zum ersten Mal. Unfassbar. Lernt mal bitte richtig zu lesen!!!!

Neuer Name, alte Bewertungen. Ansonsten käme hier wohl kaum der hohe Google Score von 4,3 durch über 2000 Bewertungen zu zustanden. Diese stammt größtenteils, ebenso wie die Fotos vom Essen, aus der Zeit als der Laden noch unter dem Banner „Beef Brothers“ lief und noch nicht vom Ruff‘s Burger Franchise übernommen wurde. Das Essen bei Ruff‘s war leider ziemlich 08/15. Das Fleisch auf dem Burger war relativ fad und ohne nennenswerten Eigengeschmack. Beim BBQ Burger dominierte die ganze Zeit über ein BBQ bzw. Ketchup Geschmack und der Rest blieb auf der Strecke. Die Zwiebelringe machten optisch zwar einen guten Eindruck, waren dann aber leider weniger kross als erhofft und enthielten auch nur eine hauchdünnen Zwiebelring. Unterm Strich maximal „Ok“ für den schnellen Hunger, aber gemessen an der Qualität dann doch wieder zu teuer für das was man bekommt. Schade, aber wer die Beef Brothers und deren Qualität vermisst der kommt in der Filiale auf der Christophstraße immerhin noch auf seine Kosten.

Mein erster Besuch war sehr positiv. Die Burger und Pommes haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Was mir besonders gut gefallen hat, ist das Verhältnis zum Preis und Qualität. Ich hatte eine kleinem Cheeseburger und Pommes dazu Fritz Cola. Insgesamt für unsere zwei Burger, 2 Getränke und ein Pommes haben wir 22 € gezahlt. Man wird von einem kleinen Burger und Pommes gut satt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr USA angehaucht. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett. Man muss manchmal etwas länger warten, bis man einen Sitzplatz bekommt. Manko: Die Burger haben etwas lange gedauert und wir müssten lange warten. Fazit: Wenn man Lust auf einen leckeren kleinen Burger hat, ist man hier gut aufgehoben. Man sollte etwas Zeit mitbringen. Dafür bekommt man wirklich einen frischen Burger, der sehr gut geschmeckt.

Ambiente und Service wie früher. Das wichtigste leider gar nicht mehr: die Burger. Der Bacon Burger hat nur nach Soße geschmeckt. Das Patty hätte Salz und Pfeffer vertragen können. Der Bun und das Bacon waren sehr trocken. Die Fritten waren okay. Für über 30€ (2 Burger, Fritten und Spezi) hab ich einfach mehr erwartet. War vor Corona sehr oft da. Jetzt eher nicht mehr.

Ich war früher echt ein Fan von Beef Brothers. Die Burger waren immer was besonderes. Jetzt ist es leider nur noch halbherzig zubereiteter unterer Standard was man hier vorgesetzt bekommt!! Das Fleisch ist wabbelig und nicht gewürzt,genau das Gegenteil von saftig und kross wie man sich einen Burger wünscht. Im Lokal ist es ungemütlich und kühl. Früher war immer so viel los das man froh war,wenn man einen Platz bekommen hat. Weil die Burgen früher so lecker waren,war es mir aber auch egal wenn man nur im stehen seinen Burger genießen konnte. Wollte dem ganzen heute nochmal eine Chance geben,aber wurde leider wieder enttäuscht. Ich werde nicht wieder kommen!!

Great quality for the fast food burger. They cook the patty medium and it's pink and juicy. I had the Old Bag Burger, and the combination of mango chatney with goat cheese was great. Also sweet potato fries were good.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und schnell gemacht. Im Lokal sitzen war aufgrund der Holzbänke und Rückenlehne leicht unbequem. Der Bürgerpatty war für mich persönlich etwas unterwürzt, die Soßen und die Süßkartoffel-Pommes waren hervorragend! Ranch und Ceaser Soße sehr lecker und kräftig!

Haben bestellt. Ich möchte nicht unhöflich wirken aber es war wirklich kein guter Burger. Brot war alt und komplett zerdrückt, ganzer Burger schmeckt nach Salat Soße, und appetitlich sah es auch nicht aus. Nicht zu empfehlen

Beim bestellen hab ich ein schlechtes Gewissen bekommen, ob es zu viel verlangt war eine Bestellung abzugeben. Es kam keine Begrüßung, geschweige denn ein Lächeln. Die Pommes waren super. Der Burger war leider ziemlich lasch. Der Patty machte auf mich den Eindruck als wäre er aus dem Tiefkühler. Salz und Pfeffer haben gefehlt, rauchigen Geschmack vom grillen suchte ich vergebens. Das Fleisch war Gummi artig. Leider kein Vergleich mit dem Vorbesitzer BEEF Brothers. Schade!

Mit Sorgfalt gemacht und grundsätzlich gut, aber Kleinigkeiten könnten besser werden: das Brot ist etwas langweilig und es gibt auch keine Varianten. Man schmeckt den Gorgonzola kaum auf dem „old dirty b.“-Burger.

Der Burger ist aller höchstens okay. Bun: trocken, bröselig. Beef: lecker, saftig. BBQ Sauce: künstlich. Bacon: extrem trocken. Preis: 10€ nur für einen Burger absolut überteuert. 5,40€ für eine Knoblauch-Pommes. Die restlichen Bewertungen müssen gekauft sein, ansonsten nicht zu erklären.

Lieferung/Lieferando Der Burger war noch warm und ok, die Pommes waren auch noch warm, allerdings schwammen die unteren in Oel und das war nicht schön, zumal es durch alle Verpackungen gelaufen ist, was mit suboptimal, sehr wohlwollend, beschrieben ist. Ich bin mir sicher das das Essen heiß auf die Reise gegangen ist, vielleicht sollten die Transporttaschen, im Herbst/Winter, beheizt werden, weil das einer der Hauptgründe ist (neben Lieferzeiten) bei Reklamationen. 🤔

Geschmacklich wirklich in Ordnung. Man wird nicht enttäuscht, allerdings waren meine Erwartungen so hoch, dass ich dachte, der Laden könnte besser sein als Beef Brothers. Dem war aber nicht so. Beef Brothers ist auf einem anderen UNIVERSUM!!! Da sind wirklich Galaxien-Unterschiede.

We just visited this burger joint for a quick bite. We had cheeseburgers (I had extra bacon) fries and a coke. Friendly staff, fast service and tasty food, what more could you want? Note that the burgers are cooked like real meat so if you don't want any pink meat, make sure you request that. Don't then give a bad review that the meat wasn't cooked. That's how its supposed to be cooked - super tasty!

Sehr unhöflich & unkultiviert der Verkäufer .. . alles andere als korrekt dieser Laden, hab den total falsch eingeschätzt. Ps: Außer die Asiatin und der Latino die haben damit nix zu tuhn & gehören meiner Meinung auch nicht dort hin.

Die Burgers sind für den Preis mega gut, dirty Burger würde ich euch empfehlen, ist super. Kleiner Laden, aber bequem. Allerdings wenn die Arbeiter mit den Wolt Bestellungen oder das Laden voll ist, schmecken die Burger logischerweise ein bisschen schlechter. Deshalb, empfehlen ich, da hin zu gehen, wenn es nicht so voll ist, ansonsten supi:).

Bedienung top. Chicken Burger on point und maximal lecker. Leider ist das Ambiente nicht nur sehr spartanisch sondern es riecht obendrein penetrant nach Chlor. Echt nicht Nice.

Nice burger, great location, polite stuff

Einer der schlechtesten Burger meines Lebens. Kleine Tische, kleine Sitzplätze, Pommes war nicht richtig durch. Burger hat ohne Blue Cheese Soße nach nichts geschmeckt. Brot war ähnlich wie aufgebackenes Fladenbrot.

Die Burger sind fast nicht essbar - mindestens 75% Salz. Wir konnten nicht mehr als ein paar Bissen ertragen. Tolle Musik und freundliches Personal, aber wir werden leider nie wieder kommen.

Ich war Burger essen. Es war super lecker und ein wirklich toller Service. Danke! Wir kommen wieder!
