Insider tip! Beautiful location in the forest. Today we had delicious chanterelle soup (finally, not a flavorless mush of cream and flour), and fluffy liver dumpling soup as a starter. The main course was topped off with a delicious Wisper trout with buttery boiled potatoes and a veal meatball with chanterelle mushrooms. But the real highlight was the delicious salad dressing. It's rare that a green salad tastes so good.

Very good food, the fish is really very good! If you like fish, this is a great place to eat. Especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.

Stayed one evening and night in the camper

We went there on a recommendation, and I must say we were not disappointed. The restaurant is very idyllic, surrounded by mature trees. We were very pleased with the Austrian dishes, which were perfectly prepared. The cucumber and dill salad is a dream. The service was very friendly, helpful, and prompt, if a bit forgetful. We'll definitely be back! I can imagine stopping there after a hike :)

The roast pork was dry and sliced too thickly, and the dumplings were cold. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it!!!

Disastrous service, very unfriendly, and completely overpriced, and it takes ages for the order to arrive, or even for anyone to order. To be honest, I'm surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews here. The number of guests that day was very manageable, and dessert wasn't even served, even though it's offered on the menu. Therefore, we absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

A very beautiful, quiet location in the Adamstal/Kesselbachtal valley. An Austrian flag greets you at the entrance. In addition to various trout dishes, the menu focuses primarily on Austrian cuisine. The schnitzels are pounded super thin and accordingly flat, as it should be. For me, this is definitely the first place for a schnitzel in Wiesbaden. I do have one suggestion, though: the wine list could use a few more Austrian wines by the glass.

Very plain, very expensive, very unfriendly! We had to wait a long time before we could order, the way they took our order wasn't particularly friendly, and we had to wait just as long before we could pay. There weren't many customers in the restaurant! The ice cream was super delicious!!

A very charming, quiet, and atmospheric place, perfect for relaxing, with excellent cuisine. This was our first time here, and it won't be our last. The food is refined and perfectly seasoned, the portions are generous, and the salad is excellent. I recommend it to anyone craving traditional flavors!

Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit – unfriendly to children and rude. We were there on a Monday lunchtime shortly after the restaurant opened – the restaurant was sparsely visited, with only a few tables occupied. Nevertheless, after a short while, the owner very rudely informed us that our two 3-year-old children needed to be quieter, as they were supposedly disturbing other guests. The children weren't screaming, arguing, or running around – they were simply laughing at a normal volume and enjoying themselves. Even earlier, the owner had reacted brusquely when we politely asked if a dish could be prepared with a slight variation. Here, too, there was no trace of hospitality or flexibility. The overall behavior was so unpleasant that we decided to leave the restaurant. Absolutely not recommended for families with small children – and generally for anyone who values ​​respectful interaction and a bit of warmth.

Do it in Bavarian/Austrian style, which isn't to everyone's taste.

The food is delicious, and the Kaiserschmarrn, in particular, is amazing. The ambiance is very rustic and a bit dated, but that didn't detract from the lovely evening. The fish farm staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The food is not only bad but also way overpriced. The fried potatoes were greasy and mushy. The same goes for the much too large xxxl schnitzel. We were there a week ago when the weather was nice and we were the only guests. Apart from the unpleasant landlord who sat in a corner with two friends. Since we also come from the catering industry, we are very surprised that places like this can still survive. The whole place looks dirty and run down. From the impression we get, we can roughly imagine what the kitchen looks like.

An evening in May, 15 degrees outside temperature. When we arrived around 8 p.m. there were a total of 5 people sitting outside, otherwise there were no guests. We weren't dressed appropriately for sitting outside in these temperatures and preferred to eat our food warm. The dining room was dark and no service appeared even when called. After we saw one outside some time later, I went out and said we had sat down inside. The answer was that he had to clarify this with the boss. He was sitting in a corner sheltered from the wind with two other people at his table outside - so there were only two actual guests. He then told us through the waitress that we could only sit outside. It remained unclear to us whether he wanted to save energy for the lights in the restaurant or when preparing the food. In any case, we will save energy in the future and not take the long journey to this remote restaurant again to explore further interpretations of the term “gastronomy”.

Very nice, quiet atmosphere and very nice service and delicious food

Great beer garden and great food.

We arrived on a freezing winter day. The dining room is a bit old, but it was still comfortable. The food was completely fine, although we had a shocking experience with a side salad. This was presented to us in advance. When the main course was brought, the staff noticed that one of three salads had been brought in error. This was cleared from the table again, although it was noted that people had already eaten it. We observed that it was put back on the counter and later brought to the neighboring table!!! Overall, however, the prices are rather high. The price-performance ratio is not consistent. What is extremely catastrophic: the toilet area. In terms of hygiene it was more than inadequate. Not justifiable at all. Comparable to a train station toilet. We were very shocked and disgusted. Neither the toilets nor the floor have been cleaned there for months. We hope we get through without any gastrointestinal illnesses. One can only hope that hygiene is not so neglected in the kitchen. We won't be coming back. We don't take photos.

Ich komme regelmäßig hier her, nach einem Waldspaziergang mit meinem Hund. Der bayrische Wirt ist im zwischenmenschlichen Umgang leider ein echter Tölpel. Man sitzt hier urig gemütlich und das Essen ist lecker.

A little dated but still full of charm. Very friendly staff, a warm, inviting dining room, and super delicious food! The classic Tafelspitz (boiled beef) is just the way it should be, a very good Rösti (fried fried pancakes), and the Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes) are highly recommended. Our small dog was also warmly welcomed. The value for money is absolutely justified. The atmosphere is informal and very relaxed; there's no stress here.

Had pre-ordered a whole goose to take away. The goose was well prepared and tasted delicious.

This was the second time we were there and unfortunately the picture was the same as a year ago. The food (schnitzel with fried potatoes) was good. The rooms are okay, the sanitary facilities are very old, there are still a lot of fruit flies and an absolutely RUDE BOSS. We had an appointment there with a group of 20 people and we were all supposed to pre-order. When we asked what we had pre-ordered and we couldn't answer it immediately, we were initially treated extremely unfriendly. When I asked if I could have a special sauce for my schnitzel, the boss turned me down with the words: "I won't do that for you here because it doesn't fit or taste good." When he was then informed that he had received the wrong drink, he became very unfriendly. We didn't mention afterwards that some of the glasses were dirty and tasted like dishwashing liquid. When we asked for a receipt for the invoice, all we heard again was whispering. None of us could understand how someone could keep a store running in such a service-unoriented manner. I won't eat here again and can't recommend it to anyone unless you like unfriendly service.

Food: Expensive rustic cuisine, but at a really high level. Based on the price and performance ratio, that's probably no longer possible. Service: Employees are nice, boss takes some getting used to. Seems rough and a bit aloof. If you look for a conversation and meet your interest, he changes into an interesting conversation partner. A guy with rough edges who also likes to insist on finishing work. You have to take it as it is. Nobody will change him, he is too :-) "old" and too stable in his personality. Ambiance: Cozy in an aging property. Endless backlog of repairs, order and hygiene, certainly borderline due to the poor general condition. Well, to get this under control you have to spend a lot of money, which in the end probably won't pay off. I'm not that sensitive, so it didn't bother me so much. I'm sure I won't be a regular customer - as I said, not cheap - but I won't stay away either. I'll come back because overall it's kind of nice there.

The trout were fantastic! The guys in service were very friendly and attentive, only payment took a little longer. The location and the beer garden are great, it seems a bit old.

Went there for the first time today. Very nice atmosphere. You immediately relax. We had the trout Müllerin style and once the schnitzel. As a starter there was a chanterelle soup. All the dishes were very tasty. The service was also great. We like to come again

Nice excursion restaurant. Great delicacies on the menu. The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired. After a motorcycle tour, we made a quick stop to look for a location for a birthday party. Would be pleasantly surprised here.

The food was good to very good. Grilled trout 1A, unfortunately the boiled beef was a bit too hard (would have needed some more cooking time), roast pork was good, the Kaiserschmarren was too small for the price, but very tasty. Unfortunately the plum roasters were just porridge and no plums. The location of the restaurant is very nice by the pond. However, the landlord would have to do something about the many wasps on the terrace. Unfortunately we couldn't eat in a relaxed manner and left immediately after eating. It's a shame we would have stayed a little longer.

First of all, it should be said that the food was simply fantastic. The selection is great, the quantities are filling, and the preparation is simply top notch. The trout were amazing and the meat dishes were also well received 😋🤤 The restaurant fits perfectly into the surroundings with a small lake and outdoor terrace. When the weather is good, it's certainly a dream and an ambience that enhances a visit there 🙌🏼 Unfortunately we weren't so lucky with the temperatures, so we opted for a table inside. It wasn't much warmer there than outside and it didn't seem very inviting. The placemats were all dirty (not just on our table), and wiping them didn't help. We put them completely aside. The surfaces were only cleaned upon request. There was an enormous amount of dead insects on the windowsill - the sight wasn't very appetizing. The waiter's statement: "It's the first time in two months that we've welcomed guests indoors." Unfortunately, it was absolutely out of place and in no way excused the hygienic conditions - it shouldn't look like that in any restaurant. When ordering drinks, it is certainly helpful for guests to know in advance that there are different types of cyclists. An information from the staff or the advertisement on the card would have been enough. Some of us had a different variety than another person and unfortunately this shandy wasn't as good in taste. Thank you at this point for your goodwill in bringing another one - but we would have liked to have avoided sending anything back at all 🙏🏼 As I said, the food “made up for” a few things, but there is more to gastronomy than just a culinary delight. If you visit multiple times, it's completely okay if things don't always go smoothly. Unfortunately, I have to say for our first stay at the fish farm: the overall picture wasn't consistent enough for us, we probably won't come back - but never say never 😉

It's a very idyllic place to sit in the countryside, a very nice place to visit. We felt very comfortable. Excellent whisper trout and, in my opinion, one of the best Kaiserschmarren in the Wiesbaden area, definitely try it! Conclusion: Highly recommended. We will be back.

The service is really a disaster. Both from the boss and from the awkward employees. Smoking in front of the guests and next to the dishes/dispensing, for example, is not possible at all. The behavior of the staff in general is reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. The food is “ok” - you can tell from the sauces that they are not homemade & the salads are very greasy/drowned in mayo. Green sauce & fish are excellent for this. It's really nice to sit outside by the water, but the hygiene in the toilets is unbelievable. Overall we were very disappointed, there is absolutely no relationship between the price and performance. We won't be coming back

A celebration with the company. Very disappointing. The waitress had more to do with typing things in than serving us. Lack of staff or not, that was just shameful. After our boss paid, we were sent off the field. After asking if we could order something else, the answer was literally given. "Since they're the only ones left, we're closing now." It was just 9 p.m. and there were still 10 of us. Price performance does not correspond. Definitely not again. It's a shame because some of them had to travel over 500 km.

Wir haben hier schon zweimal gegessen und das Essen war beide Male außergewöhnlich gut. Das Lokal liegt idyllisch im Wald gelegen an einem Teich, man kann drinnen und draußen essen. Der Kontakt mit dem Chef war in beiden Fällen sehr angenehm und persönlich. Für uns Restaurant Nr. 1 in Wiesbaden.

Wir waren nach einer längeren Wanderung im Garten und hatten auch eine Reservierung.Das Abiente ist sehr schön und die Umgebung idyllisch.So gut.Leider war das Essen eine einzige Katastrophe.Der Fisch war innen roh und lauwarm. Außerdem hat er unangenehm gerochen.Der Teller ging fast komplett zurück in die Küche.Und Das für 25€.Auch die Beilagen hatten eher Kantinen Niveau.Die Schntzel waren ok aber völlig überteuerten.Vorsicht Touristenfalle. Wir werden diesen Laden nicht mehr betreten. Bei der Bezahlung hat sich der Chef unverschämt und uneinsichtig gegeben.

Beautiful spot. Radler beer and Pork Schnitzel ( hudge portion) was amazing. Too full for the strudel but it looked really good. Definitely will try to go back the next time I'm in town

Fish was tasty in itself but we had 3 large ones! Ordered portions of fries for €7.90 each and only received a tiny portion (see picture). When we paid, we talked to the boss about it and he just said “he doesn't want to argue, he's giving away the fries”. I think people have often complained about the portion size and the boss knows exactly what he's doing. For me the prices are definitely exorbitant. If you read through the other reviews, they are mostly negative, which I can understand.

Entweder hat der Wirt gewechselt oder sich geändert, wir wurden jedenfalls sehr gut bedient und das Essen war äußerst schmackhaft. Die Spargelsuppe als Vorspeise ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die Hauptspeise überbackener Spargel mit Schinken war ausgezeichnet und meiner Frau schmeckte der mit Käse überbackene Spargel mit Fisch. Einen Stern habe ich abgezogen, da ich mir das ausgezeichnete Essen etwas preiswerter wünsche. Zusammen mit einem kleinen Bier und ein Spezi zahlten wir etwas über 60 Euro.

Delicious trout to take away too. We ordered fresh trout to take away. These were freshly gutted and packed to take away. We also took some freshly smoked trout that was still warm. Very delicious and highly recommended.

Tolles Essen, guter Service, schön zum Sitzen.

Leider sehr schlecht gewesen. Es fing schon damit an, dass erst ein Lieferdinst angeboten wurde und beim Telefonat hieß es, dass es das nicht mehr gibt.( Ein Foto von der Seite hab ich noch beigefügt,da mir eben gesagt wurde,dass es nie angebotenen wurde. )Wir haben es also abgeholt. Die Preiselbeeren lagen unter dem Schnitzel, so das sich alles rot vollgesogen hat und matschig wurde. Beim Steak mit Kräuterbutter schwamm das Steak in Butter. So was sollte man extra einpacken. Der Salat war in der Schachtel total zusammen gewürfelt. Es tut mir leid,aber das ist das Geld nicht wert.

Wirklich Òstereicher Schnitzel kann man essen. Sehr lekker, Beqwemmer Platzt im Wald. Sehr angenehmene Personal.

Sehr sehr leckere Speisen, aber nur 3 Sterne . Warum ? Hohe Preise und völlig unmotivierter Service. Der Chef trägt ein tablet an den Tisch und konzentriert sich mehr auf die Eingabe , als sich dem Gast zu widmen. Hat mich an Mc Donald erinnert.

Sehr schöne Location. Ultra gemütliche Atmosphäre mit sehr nettem Chef. Das Essen war sehr gut. Beste Forelle die ich bisher gegessen habe. Auf der Haut gebraten. Auf den Punkt. Der Lachs auf Kartoffelrösti ebenfalls eine Empfehlung. Toll das es noch Restaurants mit Herzblut gibt.

Gute Küche. Schöne Lage. Hier passt einfach alles vom Service bis zu den Speisen, alles TOP. Das beste Lokal weit und breit für Forelle Müllerin.

Es gehört zu unseren Lieblingslokalen um Fisch zu essen. Alle Varianten von Forelle sind vorzüglich. Ich esse sie gerne gegrillt und meine Frau bevorzugt Müllerin. Dazu eine Flasche Wein. Der österreichische Chef ist freundlich, immer mit einem flotten Spruch auf den Lippen. Uns gefällt es dort, auch mit den Kindern.

Wir waren letzten Sonntag wieder da, und haben wie immer oberlecker gegessen, die Forelle war ein Traum, schön knusprig und frisch. Das umfangreiche Pfifferlingangebot ist einen Test wert und so haben wir das Rösti mit geräuchertem Forellenfilet probiert, > was soll ich sagen > ein Träumchen. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was aber einem angenehmen Aufenthalt nichts entgegen steht. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und kompetent, der Chef persönlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Leider hat das Restaurant unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Das Essen war ok aber nicht dem Preisen angemessen. Wir kommen leider nicht wieder.

Wie wurden leider etwas entäuscht den wir hatten einen Platz reserviert gehabt aber das Lokal war voll so das wir auf die Terrasse ausweichen mussten obwohl es frisch gewittert hatte und es dementsprechend feucht war. Das Essen war gut, ich hatte eine Forelle die sehr gut war, das Personal ist auf zack und flink, der Chef machte auf uns einen patriarchalischen Eindruck

Idyllisch gelegenes Restaurant im Wald mit kleinem Teich und schöner Terrasse. Die wisper Forellen sind frisch, lecker und gut zubereitet. Die anderen Gerichte allerdings maximal durchschnittlich mit Fertigprodukten. Die Pommes waren leider im fett abgesoffen. Der Espresso war wie normaler Kaffee. Schade das geht besser...

Über eine halbe Stunde auf die Getränke gewartet, unfreundliche, pampige Bedienung, schlechtes Essen, hohe Preise, renovierungsbedürftiges Restaurant und Toiletten. Nur die Natur ist schön.

Super leckeres Essen, kommen lohnt sich schon alleine für das leckere Schnitzel :) leider total verpeilter Service bei fast leerem Restaurant. Letztes Jahr war es super! Dieses Jahr werden Beschwerden über den Chef vor den Gästen ausgetragen. Schade. Leider unprofessionelle Mädels. Ärger über den Chef geht den Gast nichts an und interessiert ihn in der Regel auch nicht.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, schönes Angebot an verschiedenen (Nach-)Speisen. Frischer Kuchen mit Frauensteiner Kirschen. Aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Mit den Getränken kamen sogar je ein kleiner Wassernapf pro Hund. Im Sommer durch Waldlage auch bei hohen Temperaturen eine kühle Möglichkeit zur kurzen Pause oder gemütlichem Abendessen.

Wir waren gestern mit dem Wohnmobil dort. Durften auch übernachten. Sehr schönes Haus, wunderbar gelegen. Der Ort ist ein Paradies. Das Essen sehr gut. Die Getränke perfekt temperiert. Der Chef sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man spürt die österreichische Gastlichkeit. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns Paul (Chef) wiederzusehen. So gut die Küche auch ist, der Wirt ist in punkto Freundlichkeit eine Niete. Die große Terrasse liegt wunderschön an zwei Weihern mit viel Grün drum rum... Aber ich Frage mich tatsächlich aus welchen Weihern seine Forellen stammen? Aus denen hinter dem Restaurant bestimmt nicht! Egal, sie waren sehr lecker! Gruß an die Küche!

Sehr gute Speisen, allerdings auch sauteuer. Ein halber Liter Bier kostet 6 €. Das ist schon unverschämt. In Bad Camberg kostet ein halber Liter Bier 3,50 €. Deshalb werden wir dort nicht mehr speisen.
