Waldhaus in Bad Nauheim

Sehr leckere italienisches Essen, sehr nette Mitarbeiter und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Ein Highlight sind die singenden Kellner und Köche. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl, die Terrasse ist im Sommer toll und innen ist es im Winter sehr gemütlich. Wer gut essen gehen will ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Wir waren zum 2. Mal hier - beim 1. Mal dachte ich noch - kann mal vorkommen. Aber 2 Mal ist eher kein Zufall. Terrasse war gut besucht aber nicht voll. Eigentlich war genug Service verfügbar - aber schlecht organisiert. Die Vorspeisen kamen vor den Getränken. Getränke hatte man vergessen. Tomate/Mozzarella war banal / lieblos. Vitello Tonnato konnte nicht überzeugen - die Sauce wirkte Mayonnaise lastig. Von 4 Hauptgerichten kam Eines. Nach gut 10 Minuten 2 weitere, mit Abstand dann das letzte Gericht. Die Hauptgerichte waren ok - aber keine gehobene italienische Küche. Hier ist wirklich noch Luft nach oben. Man sitzt sehr schön auf der Terrasse, der Service ist nett - da ist alles in Ordnung.

Vom wegen gehobene Küche, auf dem Teller kommt etwas anderes als gehoben! Das Kalbfleisch war sehr dünn und trocken. Die Hausgemachte Nudeln sehr aldente und wenig Sose, kein Gericht war gelungen. Der Hauswein der reprezentiert das Haus, eins der schlechtesten rose Wein den ich jemals probiert hatte. Konnten es nicht einmal mit viel Eis trinken. Ein nicht gelungenes Abend für uns, deswegen nur 1 Stern und nie wieder!

Tolle Lage und sehr nette Bedienung. Price Leistung stimmt. Wir komme wieder wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Hier hatte ich vor einigen Wochen eine sehr schöne Einkehr. Endlich ein Restaurant, das seinen Namen verdient: Tische schön eingedeckt, Service persönlich und eine gute, frische und kreative Küche. Hier würde ich gerne wieder einkehren. Die Preise sind der Qualität angemessen.

Ich habe lange zwischen drei und vier Sternen geschwankt, entscheide mich aber bewusst für drei – als Signal, dass hier noch Luft nach oben ist und Verbesserungen im Service sowie beim Ambiente spürbar notwendig sind. Das Positive zuerst: Das Essen hat überzeugt – meine Lasagne war wirklich schmackhaft. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt und liegt genau im erwartbaren Rahmen. Die Speisekarte bietet eine breite Auswahl, die weit über klassisch Italienisches hinausgeht, sodass für unterschiedliche Geschmäcker etwas dabei ist. Praktisch zu erwähnen: ausreichend Parkplätze sind vorhanden, und die Tischreservierung lief reibungslos. Die Lage im Wald ist natürlich ein echter Pluspunkt und verleiht dem Lokal seinen besonderen Charakter. Verbesserungspotenzial: Der Service wirkte an diesem Tag unkonzentriert – was bei guter Auslastung im Außenbereich und sommerlicher Hitze zwar nachvollziehbar ist, sich aber dennoch im Ablauf bemerkbar machte. Konkret: Eine Vorspeise wurde doppelt serviert (gut gemeint, aber ein Versehen), und ein falsches Getränk wurde gebracht. Letzteres habe ich nicht beanstandet, da es für mich vertretbar war – aber es zeigt, dass die Aufmerksamkeit im Service noch Spielraum hat. Auch das Ambiente verdient einen kritischen Blick: Der untere Außenbereich, der für Gäste gesperrt, aber gut einsehbar ist, wirkte vernachlässigt. Wer als Restaurant mehr Sterne anstrebt, sollte das Gesamtbild pflegen – nicht nur dort, wo Gäste sitzen. Fazit: Trotz der genannten Punkte ist ein Besuch durchaus empfehlenswert – jeder hat andere Prioritäten, und das Lokal hat echte Stärken. Für mich persönlich bestätigt sich ein Eindruck, den ich über die Jahre gewonnen habe: eine wirklich schöne Location, der es noch am Blick fürs Detail fehlt

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier. Das Essen war super und der Service ebenfalls sehr aufmerksam.

Tolle Location, die früher für uns die Referenz für gutes italienisches Essen in Bad Nauheim war. Umso mehr hatten wir uns auf ein Geburtstagsessen am Sonntag gefreut. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht: Der Kellner war unfreundlich, der Service insgesamt schwach und mehrere Gerichte kamen mit noch halb rohen Nudeln an den Tisch. Geschmacklich wirkten die Speisen schlecht abgeschmeckt und ziemlich lieblos zubereitet. Besonders schade war, dass mehrfach geäußerte Kritik komplett ignoriert wurde. Wirklich enttäuschend, weil das Waldhaus früher einmal deutlich besser war.

Waren in einer Gruppe da. Nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Schnelle Bedienung wobei auch noch nicht viele Gäste da waren. Gerne wieder und empfehlenswert da auch eine klasse Lage.

Leider sehr laut und abgerockt. Der Service ist betont freundlich aber nicht aufmerksam. Super schnelle Abfertigung. Extrem unbequeme Hocker mit mini Kissschen. Das Essen ist mittlerweile wirklich sehr unterdurchschnittlich dafür gesalzene Preise. Schlapper Salat mit bissi Balsamico und Öl. Nudeln kaum durch, Mini Portion. Fleisch war zäh.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und original italienisch.

Schlimmer geht nimmer, weit gefehlt! Heute mit meiner Freundin, nach einem Arzttermin zum Mittagstisch eingekehrt. Anfangs freundlich Empfangen, kippte die Stimmung, nach dem Zauberwort "Schlemmerblock" merklich. Ein absolutes No Go !!! 2x Lasagne bestellt, Cocotte kalt! Essen kalt! Hat niemanden interessiert. Bleibt ein einmaliges Erlebnis

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe da. Leider kamen die Speisen deswegen leider ungenügend an unseren Tisch. Das Fleisch, was wir medium rare bestellt hatten, war leider eher medium well. Änderungswünsche bei den Beilagen gingen auch nicht, weil die Küche dann überfordert wäre. Die Nudeln waren teilweise mehr als al dente, eher knackig. Auch das servieren der Speisen und Getränke ging gar nicht. Man hat sich eher wie bei den Marktschreiern gefühlt. In dieser Preisklasse kann man schon erwarten, dass man sich notieren kann, welche Person was bestellt, gerade wenn es nur 2 Cola Light sind. Zu guter Letzt kamen einfach immer wieder Sachen an den Tisch, die gar nicht bestellt wurden. Alles in allem doch ein recht enttäuschendes Erlebnis.

Wir hatten zwei Gerichte: der Fisch war OK, aber das Gemüse war so heftig versalzen, dass man es nicht essen konnte. Die Ravioli waren auch so salzig, dass man sich danach schlecht gefühlt hat. Obwohl wir das Gemüse nicht anrühren konnten und uns über das versalzene Essen beschwert hatte, wurde uns zum Trost lediglich ein Cappucino aufs Haus angeboten, den wir dankend ablehnten. Wir mussten den vollen Preis zahlen. Der Salat war auch enttäuschend, fast nur Eisbergsalat. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend, auch die Reaktion (die Bedienung entschuldigte sich und sagte uns, wir seien nicht die Einzigen, die sich heute über das versalzenen Essen beschwert hatten), denn wir und alle anderen Familienmitglieder kommen seit Jahrzehnten zum Essen und Feiern ins Waldhaus. So behandelt man Stammkunden nicht. Große Enttäuschung.

Zufällig sind wir hier gelandet det und es war genau richtig: wir saßen sehr gemütlich und fast ungestört, wurden absolut aufmerksam beraten und bedient und haben das sehr gute Essen wirklich genossen. Immer wieder gerne!

Unser gestriger Besuch mit Freunden im Waldhaus war ein kompletter Reinfall. Den einen Stern gibt's für die wirklich schöne Location und die Frau sowie den Kellner Nico im Service, für die beiden den Daumen hoch! Service und Location für sich hätten 4 bis 5 Sterne verdient, konnten den schlechten Gesamteindruck aber leider nicht ausgleichen. Beim Ankommen wurden wir zu unserem Tisch gebracht, auf dem bereits ein Brotkorb und ein Schälchen Aufstrich (wer weiß wie lange schon???) standen. Nicht nur in der gehobenen Gastronomie, zu der sich das Waldhaus ja gern zählen möchte, wird der Gruß aus der Küche üblicherweise erst zum Gast gebracht, nachdem dieser da ist. Die zwar vorhandenen Kerzen brannten nicht. Die sehr kleinen Tische sind - vermutlich in Gewinnmaximierungsabsicht - viel zu eng gestellt, was für Gäste und Service gleichermaßen unangenehm ist und sich negativ auf das eigentlich schöne Ambiente auswirkt. Zum Essen: Die Speisen waren durchweg lieblos und teilweise sogar regelrecht unappetitlich angerichtet. Die Fischsuppe war geschmacklich wirklich gut und enthielt auch viel Fisch, die Fischstücke waren allerdings derartig groß, dass man die Suppe quasi mit Messer und Gabel essen musste und diese auch optisch dadurch nicht gut aussah. Der ziemlich angeschlagene Topf, in dem die Suppe serviert wurde, hätte längst entsorgt werden müssen. Die Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten waren geschmacklich ganz okay, optisch aber eine Katastrofe. Die Nudeln lagen in einer Schüssel in einer wässrigen Sauce, obenauf hatte man haufenweise teilweise leere Muschelschalen geschmissen. Es sah aus, als habe man mal die Küche durchgefegt und das dann auf die Teller gegeben. Ganz unten hineingeworfen fand sich dann eine durch diese Behandlung etwas mitgenommen Riesengarnele, die man doch beim Anrichten eines solchen Gerichts aus guten Gründen eher als Highlight obenauf präsentiert. Aber da lagen ja stattdessen wenig dekorativ die ganzen Muschelschalen. Die eher nicht hausgemachten Nudeln mit Lachs waren geschmacklich und optisch ganz ok, aber auch kein kulinarisches Highlight. Der Gipfel waren die hausgemachten Ravioli ai formaggi! 3 völlig undefinierbare große Klumpen, die mit Ravioli absolut nix zu tun hatten, lagen in einem Käsebrei, der Nudelteig war viel zu dick und fast roh, das Ganze ließ sich kaum schneiden und schmeckte schlicht nur mehlig und teigig. Da das Gericht ungenießbar war, ging es zurück. Während die Servicekräfte souverän mit der im Übrigen sachlichen Beschwerde umgingen, erschien kurz darauf der Chef des Restaurants, der uns unfreundlich und sehr überheblich weismachen wollte, dass viel zu dicke und fast rohe Pasta typisch italienische Art seien und wir von italienischer Küche eben keine Ahnung hätten. Dazu muss man eigentlich nix mehr sagen, spricht es doch für sich selbst, genau wie übrigens die hier zu einigen negativen Kritiken zu lesenden Reaktionen. Erwähnt sei aber dennoch, dass wir auf vielen Italienreisen und auch sonst in guten Restaurants schon häufig wundervolle handgemachte Pasta genießen durften, die sogar auch noch ansprechend angerichtet war. Wir sind also durchaus in der Lage, die Qualität einer hausgemachten Pasta zu beurteilen. Schlussendlich wurde das Gericht immerhin nicht berechnet, dazu gabs noch etwas Überheblicheit und Unfreundlichkeit gratis vom für seinen Aufgabenbereich leider anscheinend nur unzureichend qualifizierten Chef. Das sehr genervt gemachte Angebot, ein anderes Gericht bekommen zu können, haben wir abgelehnt, da uns die Lust auf ein Essen in diesem Restaurant vergangen war. Vom netten Kellner dagegen gab es einen Abchiedsschnaps. Dem Chef empfehlen wir, sich bezüglich des souveränen Umgangs mit Beschwerden von seinen Servicekräften mal schulen zu lassen und seinem Küchenchef eine Fortbildung im Anrichten von Speisen und in der Herstellung guter Pasta zu bezahlen. Gehobene Gastronomie geht anders! Stoffservietten auf (zu kleinen) Tischen reichen dafür nicht aus. Fazit: Wir kommen nicht wieder und können das Waldhaus unter der derzeitigen Leitung auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Seit über 20 Jahren gegen wir regelmäßig ins Waldhaus zum Essen. Hier haben wir schon Geburtstage, Taufen und sonstige Ereignisse gefeiert. Es ist ein wunderbarer Ort, das Essen ist hervorragend, die Trüffelpasta, der Fisch, das Tiramisu. Man wird herzlich aufgenommen und der Service ist sehr persönlich. Sowohl drinnen, im Wintergarten, als auch auf der schönen Terrasse im Sommer ist es gleichermaßen wunderbar zu sitzen. Das Waldhaus ist ein Restaurant, wo wir (die ganze Familie) uns immer sehr wohlfühlen und schon sehr schöne Abende verbracht haben.

Wir besuchten das Restaurant Waldhaus in Bad Nauheim (bei Frankfurt). Ja, es liegt etwas versteckt und ist nicht das Erste, was einem bei einem Besuch in Bad Nauheim in den Sinn kommt. Das Team hat uns einen tollen Aufenthalt bereitet und uns herzlich empfangen… man fühlt sich hier wirklich wie zu Hause. Service und Essen waren perfekt, alles war genau richtig getaktet, liebevoll zubereitet und sehr lecker. Ich kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen und war bestimmt wieder dort.

Vor einigen Tagen haben wir das italienische Restaurant Waldhaus in Bad Nauheim besucht. Dieses Restaurant liegt direkt im Wald in Bad Nauheim und hat auch eine sehr schöne Terrasse. Das Ambiente ist klassisch solide im Innenraum gestaltet. Wir wurden freundlich platziert und begrüßt. Insgesamt hatten wir eine ersten guten Eindruck. Leider führte sich dieser aber nicht bis zum Ende auf top Niveau fort. Als Kenner der wirklichen guten Küche und Gastronomie muss ich leider sagen das die Speisen nur teilweise gut waren. Denn als Vorspeise hatten wir Vitello Tonnato bestellt. Die Portion war reichlich und auch das Kalbfleisch war rosa zubereitet. Was aber nicht unserem Geschmack entsprechen hat war die Thunfischsosse welche keine war. Es war eher eine aufgespritzte Thunfischmayonaise welche viel zu fettig gewesen ist. Bei so einem Top Restaurant sollte man wirklich eine echte Thunfischsosse erwarten können. Als Hauptgang hatte meine Begleitung einen frischen Schwertfisch der ausgezeichnet gegart gewesen ist - kein bißchen trocken - womöglich wurde er Sous Vide gegart die Sosse war sehr schmackhaft und gut zubereitet mit Kapern und Tomaten. Leider fehlte erst der Salat den wir dazu bestellt hatten, aber dieser wurde vom aufmerksamen Restaurantfachmann sofort nachgeliefert. Ich selbst hatte das Saltimbocca gewählt welches gut gebraten und sehr schmackhaft gewesen ist auch die Sauce hatte einen sehr guten Geschmack. Was mir leider nicht gefallen hat war das viel zu stark verkochte Gemüse, welches teilweise mit Blattspinat versetzt war. Es schmeckte fad und der Garpunkt war weit überschritten. Es schien wirklich nur kurz vorher erwärmt worden zu sein. Das Walhaus sagt selbst von sich es ist ein top Restaurant aber dann bitte super frisches knackiges Gemüse als Beilage verwenden. Die Kartoffeln waren lecker und gut gegart. Nun ich würde unserem gesamten Restaurantbesuch eine 3 - geben. Diese Kritik sollte positiv rüberkommen, denn ich bin überzeugt dass man dort wirklich top Köche und top Restaurantfachleute vorfindet. Eine top Vitello Tonnato Sauce sollten diese herstellen können und wenn das Gemüse frisch und knackig zu den Speisen gegart wird ist locker eine 2 bzw. 2 plus in Zukunft drin. Wir werden sicher dem Waldhaus eine zweite Chance einräumen. Top Gastronomie bedeutet jeden Tag ein wenig besser zu sein und zu werden das sollte das Waldhaus und sein Team zum Spitzenteam werden lassen!

sehr leckere speisen und auch schön angerichtet. die mitarbeiter auch ziemlich nett, das waldhaus sieht auch wunderschön aus von außen wie auch von innen. perfekter ort für eine gute mahlzeit.

In meinen Augen war das Fleischgericht recht schwach. Das Gemüse hatte leider keinen Biss mehr. Insgesamt nicht gut abgeschmeckt. Preis/Leistung stimmt meiner Meinung nach nicht. Die Tische stehen viel zu eng.

Wir hatten Samstagabend für vier Personen reserviert. Zum Glück, denn das Lokal war vollbesetzt. Wir haben zwei gemischte Vorspeisenplatten geteilt (nach freundlichem Hinweis des Obers, die Platte sei üppig). Und tatsächlich war es mehr als reichlich. Als Hauptgang hatten wir Pinsa, Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen, Rinderfilet mit Gorgonzolasoße und Rumpsteaks mit Zwiebeln. Zum Abschluss Tiramisu. Alle Gerichte waren ausgezeichnet, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Service und Ambiente waren tadellos. Preis -Leistung sehr gut. Klare Empfehlung!

Tolles Restaurant mit schneller Bedienung und die Preise sind angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Besser Tisch reservieren.

Das war heute Abend eine große Enttäuschung. Auch wenn wir immer fast 40 km fahren mussten war das Waldhaus bis zum heutigen Abend immer unsere erste Adresse zum Essen gehen. Meine Frau hatte als Vorspeise Burata mit Feigen und als Vegetarierin Parmaschinken weggelassen. Als Ersatz wurde dann Feldsalat serviert. Statt erwarteten frischen Folgen waren das getrocknete, relativ feste. Die Pasta meiner Frau war sehr lecker. Das was dann aber schon. Ich hatte ein sehr dünnes Kalpsmedaillon mit Zitronensauce und Kartoffeln und Gemüse. Das einzige was hierbei geschmeckt hat war das Gemüse. Als Nachtisch hatten wir uns schon auf dem Nachtisch aller Chef gefreut. Dieser war eine reine Katastrophe. Einfach nur süß und kaum zu genießen. Nach dem heutigen Abend war das wohl unser letzter Besuch im Waldhaus.

It was our first time at the Waldhaus restaurant in Bad Nauheim. We had our discount booklet with us and used it for our visit. This might explain the somewhat gruff tone of the waiter who served us. The lunch was delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely, but as I said, the loud, somewhat annoyed voice of the older waiter wasn't exactly "molto bene" (very good).

We had reserved a large table for our grandmother's 85th birthday and discussed a three-course meal. In short: the food was not good. The spaghetti was still hard, the ham on the saltimbocca was rather raw and of cheap quality, and the vegetables were frozen. The alternative sea bream and especially the tiramisu were okay. The service, and especially Nico's singing and the interesting history of the restaurant, made up for some of the shortcomings. Perhaps the chef was simply having an off day. Unfortunately, this greatly dampened the festive occasion.

A warm welcome, we had a lovely table in the conservatory, delicious food, and the highlight was when Nico sang! Unforgettable: "Oh Romy" and "Il Padrino" ❤️

We went there today with friends for the first time, but definitely not the last. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and, surprisingly, a violinist who played wonderfully. A truly wonderful stay.

We ate here today with four people. Since we had schnitzel, pasta, pinsa, and salad, we can give a good review of the food. All the dishes were very good. The ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive. The prices were very fair. Therefore, we cannot confirm the negative reviews here. We will definitely come back. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

The veal and porcini mushrooms didn't impress me. The ambiance and service were good.

A very nice, quiet restaurant. The food was delicious and the service very friendly.

We went to the "Waldhaus" for lunch today with the "Schlemmerblock" (gourmet block). The table reserved for us was already set, and slices of white bread and cream cheese spread were waiting for us as a welcome gift from the kitchen. We opted for grilled sea bream or plaice fillet Italian style with baked potatoes and a side of vegetables. Despite the busy restaurant, we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was served hot, beautifully presented, and delicious. The Montepulciano was also very good. The value for money is still good here, and the staff is always attentive and friendly!

We visited the Waldhaus for the first time today and will definitely be back. Delicious food, attentive service, and a wonderful location with parking right outside.

Absolutely terrible – never again! We went to the Waldhaus with a group of girls and had one of the worst evenings at a restaurant in a long time. The service was unfriendly, slow, and we couldn't shake the feeling that guests were a nuisance. In the end, we politely (!) informed the waitress that we weren't happy this time – and then came the bombshell: The boss himself sat in the background the entire evening, loudly watching cell phone videos so that all the guests could hear. When he noticed us politely criticizing his staff, he jumped up, yelled at us aggressively like a tempestuous person, and became so threatening that we were close to calling the police. I've never experienced anything like it – completely disrespectful and inappropriate. A boss who yells at guests instead of taking responsibility is an absolute no-go. We will definitely never return here. Anyone looking for a relaxing evening should definitely avoid this place.

We've been to the Waldhaus a few times now. Some of the waiters could have been friendlier. The young man who served us was very polite. Payment seemed a bit complicated for some of the waiters. The lady was a bit overwhelmed when we all wanted to pay separately and became a bit rude. But all in all, it was good, and she calmed down. The food was good. However, with a turnover of almost €300, I would have hoped that they'd at least offer a grappa on the house. Perhaps next time!

I went to dinner with a friend. I ordered veal medallion. It arrived after 5 minutes. The side dishes, potatoes, and vegetables were lukewarm. They were probably already cooked and reheated. The veal didn't taste that good to me. But it's edible ☺️. I wondered how they could prepare the meal in 5 minutes... Cheap Chinese food tastes much better than the food in that restaurant...

The Waldhaus is quite nice. Not recommended for vegetarians, as there are few vegetarian dishes. Service is okay, but at times inattentive.

It was my first time there, I'd heard good things, but I was quite disappointed. The main course arrived after 5 minutes (freshly prepared???), the side dishes were lukewarm, the service was either lackluster or nonexistent...it was my first and last visit...

Unfortunately, the vegetables were arranged in a rather careless manner and lacked taste. A little more creativity is needed.

We just added almost 60 euros, and I'm seriously considering filing a fraud complaint. The manager of the restaurant didn't come to the table despite my complaint. Since I've been there many times, I called him afterward and wanted to know why the expensive truffle spaghetti didn't taste good. The sauce was watery, and everything today was absolutely tasteless. He said on the phone that he was busy with paperwork and that truffle season was over, which is why it tasted sour and was a summer truffle. When I asked him that I expected a better apology and compensation, he replied that he had no apology and hung up. Tomorrow I'll discuss the matter with my lawyer and consider filing a police report.

We never write reviews, but after our visit to this restaurant today, we wanted to share our experience. We came hoping to choose from the full menu; however, this wasn't the case. There was only a very limited daily special with a few dishes. Even when we asked if the table next to us could choose from this, we weren't given the option to choose from the regular menu. The children's schnitzels were pre-packaged, and the fries were almost raw. Our pasta was far from al dente—it was also almost raw. All in all, this was very disappointing, especially considering this is a restaurant in the upscale price range. It was quick, though; we were finished in about 35 minutes—a new record. After we paid, our bread dip, which we hadn't used, was placed on the next table. Very questionable from a hygiene perspective.

I went out to eat with my voucher book. The food was excellent. The service was also very courteous and friendly. However, I deducted a point because my neighbor ordered the same dish and the portion was significantly larger. They cut corners here.

I can only give one star because I didn't actually visit. I tried to reserve a table by phone. The call was answered, but they made me wait a long time before disconnecting the call. So, we weren't welcome, so we made a reservation at another restaurant.

We discovered it by chance, but we're absolutely thrilled. We're threatening to come back. 🙂

This was our first time there with a larger group, and I have to say, I feel sorry for our hosts that they had to pay so much for such abysmal food and mediocre service. The elderly gentleman who wandered around aimlessly and arrogantly during the service (I suspect it was the proprietor; I wouldn't describe him any other way) was the rudest proprietor I've ever seen. Not a word of welcome, no comfort during the meal, and no apology for botched service issues. The quality of his food was simply abysmal. The schnitzel was a frozen "pressed cardboard schnitzel" that wasn't even properly cooked, the fries were still half-raw inside, and the salad that came with it was simply thrown onto the plate without any seasoning, with, for example, the byproducts of an onion (stalk, end). In some cases, despite repeated complaints, the service simply didn't bring the food (I imagine it was listed on the bill, though), or it was so late that others had already finished. Changes, such as different sauces for the meat, etc., were generally not possible, even though they were listed on the menu. Complaints that were phrased kindly and understandingly were simply ignored by the staff or deliberately ignored until the words became a little "heavier" and louder. The one star that has to be awarded here goes to a nice lady who deserves this star alone; she was very friendly and helpful. If the dessert was supposed to be an Italian tiramisu, you should consider buying it from a discount store in the future (this one is definitely better); it was simply disgusting. Opinions ranged from "no flavor" to "just sweet" to "it just tastes musty." The drinks, apart from the plain beer, were only moderately chilled to not chilled at all. Here, the question of whether we can serve it with ice cream or would she like ice cream separately would have served its purpose. The star awarded here is only given because it's not possible to give a rating otherwise. The restrooms are dated; there was no paper towel in the men's area, perhaps just empty, but apparently they weren't replenished either, and the general cleanliness, well... Some of the outdoor seat cushions were truly disgusting, very stained, and covered in food residue on both sides. The five stars I've awarded here refer purely to the environment and the possibilities that could exist if this restaurant were run properly. However, I don't want to omit to mention some positive things either. The one type of pasta that was ordered was very tasty and possibly made from homemade pasta. The tiramisu could have been eaten by children, since it was alcohol-free, if it had tasted good. There's definitely room for improvement at such a great restaurant in this location. With this landlord, you just get the feeling he's tired of his job, and that's reflected in his staff. It's a shame, really. I think many of us will have come to the conclusion that this is a first time and never again. Clearly, I can't recommend it in good conscience.

THE insider tip in Bad Nauheim! I went there with business friends, who were equally impressed. Lovely ambiance, friendly and attentive service, and one of the best rump steaks for miles around! We were there again, and this time tried the onion schnitzel, absolutely recommended!

I have to give one star to share an experience here. However, this one star isn't worth it for what we experienced yesterday. We reserved a table for two for lunch yesterday via the online portal. CONFIRMATION WAS PAYABLE! We had been looking forward to being pampered by Italian cuisine for days, as we wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. Arriving full of anticipation, we introduced ourselves and explained our reservation. A young lady was then preparing a table when a colleague approached her and told her in a very unfriendly and annoyed tone that he wasn't accepting anyone else that day, as the kitchen and staff were understaffed. Even when we pointed out our reservation, he didn't let up and became very rude, gesticulating, and verbally abusing us. We've never experienced anything like this before, and it still leaves us speechless. The guests on site who witnessed this were also very upset by the staff's behavior. Apparently, they no longer feel the need to be polite and respectful to their guests. VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR US AND DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!

The restaurant is pretty run down, looks neglected and unloved. There are mopeds parked in the party tent, but not in a showy manner; they were just parked there. The tables were typical garden tables with matching chairs. There was no tablecloth or candle/tealight to create a pleasant atmosphere. On the positive side, we were given the menu pretty quickly, and an appetizer was already on the table: some bread with tomato butter. We had barely browsed the menu for two minutes when we were asked in a harsh tone if we knew what we wanted to drink. We had a similar experience when ordering food, which arrived extremely quickly. However, the small plates and some of the cutlery were taken away from us quite abruptly and without warning. We were not satisfied with the food. We ordered medium rare and rare and received meat that was both too raw and too well done in different places. The vegetables were bland, with no seasoning or sauce. Not worth €76.

A nice restaurant in itself, but the food is not recommended. The lasagna was apparently frozen and had only been reheated. After we pointed this out to the host, they simply reheated it... Even when paying, our card was taken from our hands without asking, not as if it were part of the service. The host himself is unfriendly and very unpleasant.

We have been going to Waldhaus for several years and we have never been disappointed! The food was excellent and the service was just great! The restaurant is beautifully located in the forest and has a very nice ambience. We were there again a week ago and as always: Fantastico e delizioso!

Conditional. Good selection on the menu. Waiting time to order drinks 10-15 minutes! Food tasted good, but unfortunately cold to lukewarm. Not warm, too bad. Room temperature like the plates. Cappu very good. Food partially sold out on Sunday at 6 p.m. But friendly service.

Weddings at the Waldhaus Bad Nauheim are simply magical! The location is idyllically located in the middle of the forest - surrounded by nature, birdsong and a very special peace. The historic forest house combines rustic charm with a stylish ambience and offers a fantastic setting for the big day, both inside and out. The chair covers were a real highlight: they gave the room an incredibly elegant atmosphere. The white covers, perfectly coordinated with the overall concept, made even simple chairs look elegant and festive. In combination with the green surroundings and the warm light, a wedding ambience is created that you won't quickly forget. Romantic, stylish – simply perfect!

The pinsa was perfectly baked, the ingredients (ham and salami) were original Italian and of high quality. valuable. The Tagliatelle Porcini were perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately we have 50 km to drive, but we'll still be happy to come back every now and then. Buona Cucina, bravissimo. A La prossima.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Ristorante Italiano Waldhaus in Bad Nauheim. My girlfriend and I wanted to redeem the voucher from the Lahn-Dill-Kreis-Schlemmerblock. However, when ordering we were informed by the owner that the voucher would not be accepted due to our online reservation. The reason: He had to pay a commission for the online reservation and therefore he could not accept the voucher. This was a big disappointment for us, especially since the voucher expressly states that a reservation is desired, but nothing says that an online reservation cannot be combined. We were looking for a regional restaurant with the Schlemmerblock and traveled an extra 45 minutes only to be confronted with this inexplicable rejection. This is extremely frustrating for us as we would like to support local restaurants, but when such misunderstandings occur, trust in the Schlemmerblock and the restaurant is unfortunately severely affected. It seems as if the cooperation with voucher providers is not implemented properly here, which was very disappointing for us. We will probably forgo such offers in the future and hope that this problem will not arise again in the future.

We had dinner with Schlemmerblock in the Waldhaus. The ambience was very nice and the service was fine. Unfortunately, the food wasn't entirely convincing. My fillet steak was rather small and got cold quickly because the plates weren't preheated - that shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this category. The side dish was okay, but could have been a little more generous. My wife ordered pork tenderloin in balsamic sauce with fries instead of potatoes and salad instead of vegetables. Unfortunately she only received a single lettuce leaf on the plate, which was disappointing. The amount of meat was at least sufficient. Overall it was an average experience, but unfortunately not a culinary highlight. We expected a little more and therefore probably won't come back. Too bad!

Last weekend we went to the Waldhaus for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised. Good-humoured, attentive waiters brought us excellent food in a reasonable time. The ambience is pleasant, although a bit noisy. Beautiful decoration, original sanitary facilities and good price/performance ratio rounded off the successful evening.

Great food and schnitzel cut by the butcher just like before. Taste and price-performance ratio can't be beat. After all, Karl is only 85 years old and runs his business perfectly.

The Waldhausx has often been a location for our celebrations. The food is excellent and later in the evening the chef and a kitchen employee sometimes come into the restaurant and play good music. (piano and saxophones). A very harmonious restaurant that is run by the family with passion and heart and soul.

Unser Besuch im Waldhaus sollte der krönende Abschluss eines wunderschönen Fami lienausflugs werden - das ging total in die Hose! Das Essen war durchweg schlecht. Wir waren zu 10, 3 hatten Lasagne bestellt, die ging komplett zurück - nicht zu essen. Sie war kalt (!), obenauf lag ein Stück kalter, ungeschmolzener Käse, die Fleischsosse war sauer, einfach nur grottenschlecht! Die Tortellini waren nicht "al dente" sondern hart, die Kartoffeln beim Lendengrich auch kalt. Alles in allem eine Riesenenttäuschung für viel Geld! Nicht zu empfehlen! .

My schnitzel came out of the deep fryer and the mushroom sauce fit on a spoon. The schnitzel was dry and had absolutely nothing of the "chef" quality to it, very disappointing and lacking in quality. The frutti di mare weren't fresh either. Frutti the Mare with spaghetti and a schnitzel with mushrooms in 5 minutes is very sporty. The noodles alone take 11 minutes. Well, we're not anymore...maybe we're too spoiled...Frutti di Mare for €17.50 in 5 minutes can't be anything... Unfortunately bad review...

Food wasn't actually as good as expected. My pasta was a bit dry and there was no sauce. My friend had this lame dish but it seemed like the food was wrong and he had severe stomach problems. Service was just ok and not that friendly.

Die Gesamtbewertung kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Aber Geschmäcker sind bekanntlich verschieden und vielleicht hatten wir einfach nur das ausgewählt, was sie nicht können: u.a. Rumpsteak. Doch warum steht dann so etwas auf der Karte? Auf der Terrasse sitzt man wirklich sehr schön, der Wein war ausgezeichnet, doch dann hört es aber auch schon auf: in Restaurants auf diesem Preisniveau erwartete ich, dass alle Personen am Tisch ihr Essen zur gleichen Zeit bekommen. Fehlanzeige. Wir waren zu 2/3 fertig, dann kam der noch fehlende Hauptgang. Und die ersten Essen kamen bereits 10 Minuten nach der Bestellung. Für mich sieht das dann nach Kantinenabfertigung aus und nicht nach einem frisch zubereiteten Essen verbunden mit einem gemütlichen Abend. Der Service ließ sich hin und wieder mal blicken…

In das Waldhaus gehen wir immer wieder gerne, hier stimmt einfach alles vom Essen dem Service dem Ambiente und der tollen Stimmung. Zum hervorragenden Fisch den wir dieses mal hatten gibt es auch immer schönes aus dem Weinkeller (der Quarz war perfekt).

The menu has a very good selection of food and drinks. The service is very attentive. The Pinsa is highly recommended. Parking spaces are available around the house.

Italy in Bad Nauheim! One of the top 3 in Bad Nauheim, a must visit. Great food, authentic and super tasty. Price performance 10/10. Pleasant service and great ambience. If you're lucky, a wheel of parmesan with the owner singing an opera song!!!!
