You don't sit in the front row, but the food is great, even if it touches on Bavarian cuisine. The service is also first-class and strives to fulfill the wishes of the guests even without a reservation. Reservation is recommended. If you want to eat fish on the Baltic Sea or in Zingst, you should choose the Waldhaus.

Small menu, simple food, but very, very tasty!

Finally the plate is full. Schnitzel, champion cream, fried potatoes or fries as desired. The fries were more like homemade potato wedges. Instead of one schnitzel, two schnitzels. Including salad. We were totally thrilled. And everything under twenty euros. And that in a flash for a two-woman-man service in the evening. Always happy again. Therefore 5 stars for everything. Respect.

Went there for dinner and were really positively impressed. The food was really good but there was only a small menu. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for the food. So really nothing to criticize, just good. We recommend Wiener Schnitzel & the fish variations are really recommended

The trend of the menu is towards Rtg Bavarian cuisine. Onion roast, knuckle and redfish were tasty and plentiful. The service was nice and friendly. Price-performance ratio also fits. We would definitely recommend it.

Good morning. The Waldhaus is a highly recommended location. Rustic, very tasteful tables, the table tops are an eye-catcher, bright furnishings. The food, for me there was the pike perch with savoy cabbage, fried potatoes and a side dish - a real treat. The price-performance ratio is right. Friendly service and no long waiting times. Conclusion: Clearly, we will be back.

A cozy restaurant located in the middle of a holiday complex. The landlord did everything on his own for lunch, i.e. took the order, cooked, served, cleared away and collected the money...The fact that everything was freshly prepared at the end (even the fried onions) is even more astonishing for this reason. The food tasted really good, seasoned perfectly and was served hot. Only payment is only possible in cash and not with EC, but this is not noted anywhere.

We had a total of 5 different dishes and everyone was thrilled with the food - really a top price/performance ratio. We will be back.

I would say one of the best restaurants in Zingst. Everything is freshly prepared and the staff is very friendly, even if the restaurant is very full. The Wiener Schnitzel with the fries was very tasty. But the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn was the highlight of the evening; it was super fluffy and just bomb. We as Zingster will definitely be back.

We were guided by the good reviews here and were not disappointed. The food was delicious across the board (everyone had different dishes). The next time we are in Zingst, we will definitely stop by again.

Four of us ate here last weekend. It may seem inconspicuous from the outside, but inside it turns out to be a real joy! The staff is very friendly and will be happy to help you make decisions if you find it difficult given the delicious selection. We had the roast beef, the herb matjes, the redfish and the venison goulash. Everything was incredibly tasty and lovingly prepared. A really good price-performance ratio! Our dog was also allowed to come along and spent the time quietly under the table. We would love to come back! 😊

We had dinner with a large family group and everyone was thrilled. Currywurst fries may not sound sophisticated but it was delicious and the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn was to die for. We'll definitely be back.

A nice restaurant with a small but fine menu. The food comes to the table hot, decent portions at a fair price. A little patience is advised, like many restaurants, there is a staff shortage here. The innkeeper cooks, pours, serves and collects, and is always friendly. Hats off.

We discovered the restaurant more by chance. Everything was fine. It is very nice both outside in the beer garden and in the restaurant. The menu is individual and the food is extremely tasty. The price-performance ratio also fits in with this. We would love to come back here on our next vacation

Just newly opened and in my opinion already a little insider tip in Zingst. Super delicious food and a nice selection of different dishes. When you go out to eat in Zingst, you usually have the feeling that you have somehow been ripped off. Not here! Here the price-performance ratio, the portion size and the taste are right. The quiet location directly on the cycle path and close to the dike invite you to stop off. All the best and a successful start for the owner. We will be back definitely.

I was there for the first time yesterday...it's a restaurant that was built with so much passion...despite the stress, the waitress always had a smile on her face...it's a shame that it's about to close forever... I immediately felt comfortable and at home...food was great... It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to such a beautiful restaurant...unfortunately I discovered it much too late...

After the barbecue evening today for schnitzel evening. 12 different schnitzel dishes were on the menu. We ordered with pear and cheese and wild mushrooms with onions. Huge portion of fries and delicious fried potatoes. All very tasty. The hostess was very welcoming. The charming young service staff was also very accommodating. All in all a very good evening.

Something is wrong here. We were there on Saturday around 6:30 p.m. It should have been open according to the internet, but the restaurant was closed. There was no indication of the reason. Perhaps the months of July and August were profitable enough. The menu on the door and online does not show prices. All pretty strange. Again to my review above and the owner's answer. We are certainly not frustrated when we come to our beloved Baltic Sea. Thanks to Google, however, average consumers can report on their good and bad experiences, which of course does not always meet with approval. It is important that only facts should be mentioned. Here are the facts again: There was no sign on the door stating that the company was closed. It was dark in the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, no one was in sight and the door was locked. The menu with the interesting dishes (no schnitzel, but fish, for example) had no prices and was removed from the website and from the door after my review. It is also noticeable that the owner always responds quite vehemently, especially when criticism is not so good. As I said, not everyone likes Google. Sincerely, Andreas Stolze

We spontaneously went for a walk with our dog to the Waldhaus during our vacation in Zingst. We were warmly welcomed there. There was a barbecue and all the tables were occupied. A local guest was kind enough to let us use his table so we could eat. The salads were very tasty and homemade. The grilled meat and Thuringian sausages are of very good quality. The atmosphere was very familiar, you felt welcome from the first moment. Finally, we grilled stick bread in a circle and exchanged ideas with some of the guests. We had a great evening in a relaxed atmosphere and are looking forward to the schnitzel evening soon. A big compliment to the restaurateurs.

Sind hier spontan mit dem Fahrrad vorbeigefahren. Leider gab es dann nicht mehr wirklich was zu Essen, da, wie wohl jeden Mittwoch, Grillabend war und man nichts von der Karte bestellen konnte. (Wäre super, wenn das auch irgendwo auf Facebook stehen würde). Haben uns dann was zu trinken bestellt und die doch recht gemütliche Runde genossen. Die zwei Softdrinks 0,4l (Selbstabholung an der Bar) haben jedoch je 5,20€ gekostet und das hat uns dann doch etwas entsetzt. Nicht mal direkt am Strand in Zingst zahlt man so einen Preis. Das Ambiente ist schön und das Personal sehr freundlich.

War leider schon um 20 Uhr geschlossen, als wir da waren (ich meine, das war am 22.7.). Hier steht bei den Öffnungszeiten bis 22 Uhr, aber ich meine, ich hatte vor Ort was gesehen, dass generell nur bis 20 Uhr geöffnet ist, das hab ich aber leider nicht abfotografiert. Dafür kann das Restaurant nichts, dass hier die Öffnungszeiten nicht stimmen, deshalb gebe ich die Durchschnittsbewertung von 4 Sternen.

Mega charmantes Restaurant mit super Service ist wirklich so ! Essen top lecker extra wünsche werden sehr gerne erfüllt . Tisch reservieren von Vorteil gerade bei nicht so guten Wetter . Gibt leckeres Rostocker zischt richtig gut und prompt nach geliefert 👍 Und wer Glück hat sitzt neben zwei alten Seebören und erfährt noch was von der Seefahrt . Nur zu empfehlen das Restaurant außerhalb vom Trubel ! Wir kommen wieder gibt ja noch 24 andere Schnitzel zu probieren 😘

Das Lokal haben wir zufällig entdeckt, da es etwas abseits liegt. Wir waren gleich zweimal beim Schnitzelabend und einmal beim Fischabend. Das Preisleistungsverhältniss ist sehr gut. Man wird dort immer sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen, so dass man sich gleich wohlfühlt. Die Portionen waren immer groß und sehr lecker. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet und auch vieles selbst und mit viel Liebe hergestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen

Das Essen bei Dani war grandios! Ein absoluter Geheimtipp ist das Waldhaus in Zingst. Dani als Wirtin ist ein herzlicher, toller Mensch. Mit ihr zu plauschen macht das Erlebnis richtig rund. Vom vorzüglichen Essen ganz zu schweigen! Wir sind froh das Waldhaus gefunden zu haben und werden bestimmt nicht das letzte mal da gewesen sein.

Wir haben eine Woche im Ferienpark verbracht und waren leider nur 2x zum Essen dort, Preis/Leistung stimmt, freundliches Personal, einfach alles sehr familiär, falls wir irgendwann mal wieder in der Nähe sind, werden wir das Waldhaus wieder besuchen.

Auf Empfehlung waren wir gestern hier Essen. Sehr lecker frischer Fisch, der Preis stimmt und es wird mit Herzlichkeit bedient! Großes Lob an das Waldhausteam! Wir kommen wieder! Aber unbedingt Plätze reservieren!

Ein sehr gemütliches kleines Restaurant. Wir waren zum Fischabend da und es war sehr lecker. Die Inhaberin sowie ihre Mitarbeiterin waren so herzlich in ihrer Art, wie wir es lange nicht erlebt haben. Geschmacklich ebenfalls top und alles frisch (Gemüse und Kräuter aus eigenem Garten) und mit Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Wir freuen uns, dass wir da waren und das wir für heute ebenfalls noch einen Platz bekommen haben.

Sind schon ziemlich kleine Portionen für den Preis. Auch geschmacklich nichts besonderes. Eher nicht zu empfehlen.

Durch Bekannte wurde mir das Waldhaus als eine gemütliche Gaststätte empfohlen, bei der man in freundlicher Atmosphäre sehr gut und trotzdem Preiswert essen kann. Nachdem ich am Montag(Fischtag) zum Essen vor Ort war, kann ich dem nur voll und ganz zustimmen. Ich wurde von der sehr netten Gastwirtin empfangen und mir wurde ein schöner Tisch zugeteilt. Der Fisch schmeckte hervorragend, die Portionen waren zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit und über den Preis kann man kein schlechtes Wort verlieren. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder, wenn ich mal wieder in Zingst bin und kann das Waldhaus nur jedem ans Herzen legen.

Das Essen war lecker, allerdings stand für Samstag Tagesgerichte vorab auf der Karte. Freitag und Sonntag sollte Schnitzeltag sein. Wir waren Samstag da und es gab nur Schnitzel. Diese waren auch lecker. Jedoch kamen wir ohne Reservierung, da wir eine Stunde zuvor erst angereist waren. Das Lokal war leer und bei höflichem Nachfragen ob es einen Platz für uns gab,wurden wir ziemlich runtergeputzt, dass man reservieren muss. Auf den Hinweis, dass wir das nicht wussten, da wir eben erst angereist sein, meinte die Besitzerin dass das alle wissen. Sie gab uns widerwillig einen Platz. Nach uns kamen weitere 4Menschen ohne Reservierung und das waren in den 1,5h Aufenthalt die einzigen Gäste außer uns. Auch wenn das Essen gut war, werden wir auf Grund der sehr unhöflichen Wirtin nicht wiederkommen.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Essen ist fantastisch und die Wirtin immer super drauf und freundlich. Die Bewertung von Kevin Pratsch kann ich absolut nicht nachvollziehen.

Unsere Bewertung möglichst kurz zu halten ist schwierig. Ich versuchs. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass das kleine, gemütliche Restaurant außerhalb der Saison nur für uns Zwei geöffnet wurde. Es erwartete uns eine sehr freundliche, engagierte Gastgeberin, die mehr als bemüht war, uns einen gelungenen Abend zu bieten. Das ist in vollem Umfang gelungen! Aus einer kleinen Karte wählten wir aus und waren beide total begeistert! Getränke und Essen wurden schnell serviert. 2Abende später sassen wir erneut im Waldhaus und eine mega Fischplatte begeisterte uns zu 100%! Wenn wir wieder in den Ferienpark fahren ist das Waldhaus mit seiner ausgezeichneten Küche und einer tollen Gastgeberin garantiert wieder unser Ziel! Danke für zwei tolle Abende! Dietmar&Gerd

Wir waren gestern im Waldhaus essen. Die Wirtin Dani hat uns mit einer super leckeren Fischplatte überrascht. Einfach nur spitze und empfehlenswert. Dankeschön, wir kommen wieder. Mario und Annette

Wir waren im Ferienpark und hatten kurzfristig keine Lust zu kochen. Kurz angerufen und vier wirklich lecker Schnitzel bestellt. Auf Porzellanteller mit ins Ferienhaus genommen und genossen. Mit Gorgonzola über frischer Birne überbacken oder Zwiebeln mit Bier abgelöscht. Hat wirklich gut geschmeckt und bei 12,50€ pro Teller kann man echt nicht meckern. Dafür stelle ich mich nicht selbst in die Küche.
