We only went for dinner, so I can't comment on the rooms. However, the food was outstanding and unique in the entire Baltic region.

Kochwerk Zingst – creative cuisine with casual fine dining standards The Kochwerk stands out clearly from the restaurants in Zingst – both in terms of price and the quality of the food. The small, carefully put together menu offers a selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes that clearly stand out from the typical Baltic Sea restaurant standards thanks to their creativity. Instead of the classic combinations such as “fish with potatoes” or “schnitzel”, modernly interpreted and attractively prepared dishes are served here. The drinks menu is also very good: aperitifs and fine wines that are rarely found in the region round off the culinary experience. The dessert selection sounded promising, but after the starter and main course we were already full and unfortunately couldn't try it. A small point of criticism is the espresso, which could be stronger - a detail that is not important. Service was friendly and attentive throughout, but could use a little more explanation of the dishes to complete the casual fine dining experience. Conclusion: A culinary enrichment for Zingst that is worth its price. We'll be back!

Restaurant Kocherk in Zingst – finely composed enjoyment away from the hustle and bustle The Kocherk restaurant is located slightly away from the busy center of Zingst - a place that consciously focuses on restraint and impresses with quality, atmosphere and personal charm. As soon as you arrive, you will be greeted by a small but practical parking space directly at the house, and there are also plenty of parking spaces in the surrounding area. The interior is modern, clear and at the same time inviting - stylish without pretension. The reception was friendly and pleasantly uncomplicated. A reservation is recommended, because the Kocherk no longer seems to be an insider tip, and not just among connoisseurs. The menu is deliberately reduced – a good sign of fresh, focused cuisine. There are four fish and four meat dishes to choose from, each carefully thought out. We decided on the sea bass – an excellent choice. The fish was perfectly cooked, the side dishes were finely balanced, every element on the plate contributed to the harmony of the overall impression. Only the portion could have been a little more generous for the large appetite - so a small starter on the next visit seems advisable. A look at the dishes at the neighboring tables also confirmed the positive impression: artfully prepared, balanced in color and product composition - the cooking here is done with care and passion. The service was attentive, pleasantly discreet and rounded off the evening wonderfully. Conclusion: The Kocherk is a culinary address that combines finesse, taste and hospitality at a high level. We'll be happy to come back - and then treat ourselves to a small appetizer right at the beginning as a prelude to an all-round successful evening.

The first time at KOCHWERK, but certainly not the last time. Unfortunately we only spent one night, but an excellent dinner and breakfast, a lovingly furnished room and friendly staff convinced us of the concept. Definitely recommended!

Hello, the three of us were holiday guests in the Pension / Restaurant Kochwerk in the pre-Easter period. Great little apartment, lovingly furnished, good beds and very clean. The restaurant is highly recommended, great service and great food. Plus a really great breakfast. We travel a lot and regularly visit hotels and restaurants and can unreservedly recommend embarking on a culinary journey of fine, good cuisine here. Thanks for the nice time

Das Restaurant Kochwerk in Zingst ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Wir waren im April hier, dennoch ist auch schon zu dieser Zeit eine Reservierung empfehlenswert. Die Speisen waren auf top Niveau, die Bedienung exzellent und das Ambiente gemütlich und modern. Alles in allem durften wir einen perfekten Abend dort verbringen.

Wir waren zum meinem Geburtstag in diesem Restaurant. Ambiente und Service sind über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Allerdings gibt es beim Essen starke Defizite. Wir hatten als Vorspeise eine Suppe und als Hauptgang Seeteufel Bäckchen mit Steckrüben Kartoffelstampf. Die Suppe war geschmacklich in Ordnung.... Teller war auch angewärmt...nur die Suppe war lauwarm. Schade! Dann kamen die Seeteufel Bäckchen... Der Steckrüben Kartoffelstampf war in Ordnung ,mehr aber auch nicht . Allerdings konnte man die Steckrüben nur erahnen. Eine absolute Enttäuschung waren allerdings die Bäckchen . Die waren so zäh, das man sie kaum schneiden konnte.... Eindeutig zu lange gegart. Ein Hinweis darauf wurde zur Kenntnis genommen, mehr aber auch nicht. Ich habe keine Kochausbildung aber Kartoffelstampf bekomme ich mit verbundenen Augen und einem Arm auf den Rücken gebunden hin. Tja und Fisch tot braten.... Wer kann das nicht? Eine kurze Erwähnung sollten noch die Preise finden... 32,90 € für das Hauptgericht und 9,00 € für ein Glas Wein sind selbst in der heutigen Zeit recht sportlich, aber in Ordnung wenn alles passt. Das war im Kochwerk nicht der Fall und deswegen war unser Besuch eine absolute Enttäuschung... Aber es kommt noch besser. Zu Hause schaute ich mir die Rechnung noch mal an und stellte fest ,das uns eine Flasche Wasser zu viel abgezogen wurde. Ja... Rechnung immer gleich prüfen. Werde ich in Zukunft machen. Fazit: Gute oder sehr gute Bewertungen sind immer mit Vorsicht zu genießen!

A highly recommended culinary experience with pleasant and friendly service. The chef knows his craft. The food was a perfectly balanced and complex experience. Everything harmonized well. Kochwerk is a wonderful alternative to the hearty pub fare of other local establishments and is highly recommended. Kochwerk isn't a bargain, but it's worth every cent.

If you like to eat well and are looking for a nice atmosphere, this is the place for you! The food is exceptionally good, the service is very friendly and accommodating and you feel absolutely at home, the restaurant is very lovingly furnished with lots of beautiful little details.

We were a large group (14 people) and were totally satisfied. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The price may be a bit higher but absolutely appropriate for the quality of the food. If we take another trip to the Baltic Sea, we will definitely come back.

The map is relatively manageable, which I actually think is a good thing. This means the cook can concentrate on just a few good dishes. In the case of my companion, this worked well; the dish was very tasty. I had plaice Finkenwerder style and was honestly disappointed. It was nicely prepared and the plaice was on point, but there was no trace of the crabs or bacon. Not only do they belong to the Finkenwerder plaice, they were also expressly included in the menu. Since I don't feel comfortable complaining about something, I set out to find out whether they had really been forgotten. In the end I found three small cubes of crab and a cube of bacon in the breading. No exaggeration, that's really all! At a price of just under €30, this is actually unacceptable. I still didn't say anything. Overall, I think the prices are a bit excessive for the ambience. They make an effort and the service is very friendly, but the bill didn't quite match what we experienced. Still, I give it three stars

Absolutely delicious! You get a true work of art conjured up on your plate and all in a modern, feel-good atmosphere. It was our first visit and we will definitely come back! We have been guests several times now and are still thrilled! The dishes are super tasty and the service is really great!!!

Leider haben wir am letzten Abend unseres Kurzurlaubes im Kochwerk gegessen. Es war ein Hochgenuss. Angefangen vom Aperitif über Wein zum Essen alles war sehr lecker und fein angerichtet. Der Service super nett, das Ambiente geschmackvoll. Wir werden beim nächsten Urlaub wieder kommen. Das Kochwerk können wir sehr empfehlen.

As classic “Zingst tourists” (coming from Cologne), we didn’t even begin to expect what awaited us at Kochwerk. Our landlord had recommended the restaurant to us as the “best one in the place”, but well, we are in Zingst (a wonderful, extremely lovely place!!) I've been traveling all over Germany for 30 years, had countless business lunches and eaten in top restaurants x times. And I come to Kochwerk in Zingst. Revelation describes it inadequately. This is star-level cuisine, and I'm not just talking about one star. I will now list in detail the incredibly fine, subtly coordinated dishes - it was a sensational sensory experience. From the entree to the incredible dessert (wrong tiramisu it is called) - without words. We made reservations for the last day of our vacation, unfortunately my wife fell ill and we left early. Everything was perfect, from breakfast with excursion tips to dinner with high-quality products, perfectly prepared. The room is clean and lovingly furnished, mineral water and coffee are available as well as a small refrigerator. It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the harbor or beach. We were able to lock our bikes in the shed. Many thanks to the great team and all the best!!

You simply have to be here!!! The food, service and ambience cannot be rated and recommended highly enough. The food was so excellent that you would have liked to forget your good upbringing and lick the plate. We were lucky and were able to reserve a table at short notice for another visit the next day.

Could have been good but: 1. Fish soup was well filled but way too salty, that was unpleasant. It was a kind of brew with a lot of soy sauce, I don't know what they were thinking, should people buy a lot of drinks? 2. Absolute no-go: they tried to rip us off on both bills. Dishes are available on the lunch menu and à la carte. With a price difference of one euro. The higher price was charged for both. That's not possible and it borders on ripping off tourists. Hands off here. 3. Patty answer without insight from the operator. Refers to other reviews, but what excuse is there for the poor quality and the fact that we were overcharged? Underground!

We were there for dinner and each had a starter and a main course. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly but a bit confusing. At the end we were asked if we would like to look at the dessert menu, to which we answered yes. Unfortunately the card was not brought. I don't understand, but the evening was still a good one.

Gehobene, sehr feine Gerichte mit dem gewissen Etwas und absolut keine „Alltagsküche“, absolut empfehlenswert und sehr lecker. Freundliche, kompetente Bedienung, gute Weine, schönes Ambiente im Lokal, aber auch auf der überdachten, windgeschützten und mit Heizgeräten versehenen Terrasse sitzt man gut.

Absolutely amazing food, fine dining. I've never had such good redfish before. My wife had a lamb shank and our daughter had plaice fillet. Both of these dishes were also of the highest quality. The operation and service were also at the highest level. We definitely won't eat there for the last time on vacation. Thanks for the great evening.

We ate at the Kochwerk restaurant 4 times during our Zingst vacation. The friendliness of the employees is unbeatable. Many other restaurants in Zingst could learn a lesson here. We had dinner here yesterday. Because of a concert by Tina Tandler that started at 7 p.m., we were there quite early (5 minutes before opening). According to the service team, this wasn't a problem. Since we hadn't reserved a table, we got a table inside. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the staff is very friendly. We were very surprised about the "greeting from the kitchen" as that rarely happens. Regarding the main course, I have to say: If you want to eat a plaice fillet in a special way, you should go to Kochwerk. This meal, both in terms of taste and the chef's ingenuity, was truly a dream. For dessert we had the bourbon vanilla ice cream. That was also a taste delight. The best and most honest restaurant around! From the starters such as Mediterranean fish soup or gazpacho with lemon salmon to the main courses such as red harsh with broccoli sticks and sweet potato gnocchi or plaice fillet with Riesling foam to the desserts - everything is handmade and tastefully prepared and presented! Plus excellent fires at the end.

Everything was perfect! :) We stayed at Kochwerk for 4 nights. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The room was very clean, comfortably furnished and had everything we needed. There was free water every day. The breakfast was super delicious. Very lovingly prepared and everything you need. They kept asking us if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. I would particularly like to highlight Mirko at this point. :) Since we unfortunately also experienced very unfriendly workers (in various shops) in Zingst, we can definitely say that all employees at Kochwerk are incredibly hard-working and friendly to all guests. We also had dinner in the restaurant one evening and were more than thrilled. Anyone who has something to complain about at Kochwerk is complaining at a high level. We would come back at any time. Thank you for the great stay, it made our vacation perfect. :)

Great, great, great. We discovered Kochwerk by chance a few years ago and now no holiday in Zingst is possible without eating here. The service is always excellent and very accommodating. The selection of dishes is varied and it is actually impossible to make a wrong decision - everything tastes delicious. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Nice welcome, good food. I pointed out that I needed gluten-free dishes and ordered accordingly. 10 minutes later the same waiter puts bread in front of me. If I hadn't asked if it was gluten-free and trusted him to know, it could have gone wrong. It would have been nice if some small alternative had been possible for me. Unfortunately, I rarely experience this and here too I came away empty-handed. No drama, that would have changed the visit from a good restaurant visit to a great experience for me. But what's worse is that allergies are often treated very inattentively in restaurants, which can end badly. The food was tasty in the end. I would go there again too.

The two of me went to Kochwerk in Zingst for my birthday at the end of June 2024. My subjective opinion: I and my companion didn't like the food, neither the main course nor the dessert... And the whole thing wasn't worth the 110 euros to me.

An absolutely obligatory gastronomic stop on any trip to Zingst. We had ordered a birthday table in the restaurant and got it... with candles and some decorations... warm and, above all, a little apart so that we could enjoy our little group even more. We stayed at Pension Kochwerk for 3 nights in July 2024. It is located in the center of Zingst. We were greeted very nicely and friendly. The room was very large and clean with a very nice welcome gift - so perfect. The breakfast was amazing 😉 there was everything your heart or stomach could desire. We can only rate the restaurant, but this can be recommended without reservation, even if we don't like eating with a time limit. The menu offers something unusual and actually even a greeting from the kitchen. Wine prices are relatively high, but overall a visit is worth the price. Unfortunately, a week later we had the exact opposite experience. On the last evening of our vacation we wanted to have another good meal and chose Kochwerk again a week before because of the good experience. Overall, things didn't work out so well organizationally at the beginning. The greeting from the kitchen came at the same time as the starter. That can happen, but as things progressed, we left a restaurant without a tip for the first time in our long lives. After the starter we waited an hour and a half for the main course. The same thing happened to the guests at the next table. On the terrace we saw other guests eating three courses at the same time. The table next door received the main course just as the guests decided to cancel, which they made clear. No reaction other than a shrug of the shoulders. Meanwhile, I asked if our main course had been forgotten. After all, you only have a total of two hours to eat. Again, no apology, just a statement that the food has just arrived. Overall, arrogant behavior, no real apology or an espresso on the house. We can't say how the food tasted. We had lost our appetite. It is not enough to offer good cuisine in an upscale restaurant with prices in the upper segment. There's more to it. We won't eat here again on our next vacation.

We visited this restaurant on recommendation and were looking forward to it. The food is really top class, greetings to the kitchen. But in the guest room we didn't feel like kings; anyone who doesn't like the staff is ignored. I would like to be treated courteously and respectfully as a guest; last but not least, it is a service. So please remember, the guest is not a friend who comes over for a beer.

The food was simply fantastic! My expectations were exceeded. In addition to the beautiful Baltic Sea, that was our highlight on vacation. The service was also very friendly! If you want something special and not just standard, this is the place for you. We would like to thank you very much again :)

Wir haben zum runden Geburtstag ein Büfett bestellt und das Restaurant Kochwerk hat es uns nach Hause geliefert. Von der ersten Begegnung- bis zur letzten Absprache- bis zur Ausführung- alles perfekt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alles wurde nachgefragt und zu unseren Wünschen erfüllt bzw. übererfüllt. Das Büfett, aus mehreren Menüs zusammengestellt, war optisch sehr ansprechend angerichtet und mega lecker zubereitet. Eine wirklich gelungene Veranstaltung- keine Null Acht fünfzehn- alles besonders zubereitet und sehr lecker. Das Kochwerk können wir wärmsten empfehlen.

Only the restaurant is judged, we didn't have an overnight stay. We spontaneously went there for dinner. The service is absolutely top class, very friendly, not intrusive. The food was super tasty. We had pulpo and a wild herb salad as a starter, fantastic!! For the main course we had pork cheeks and lamb shank, tender as butter and a delight for the palate. The wine selection is also excellent. We can absolutely recommend Kochwerk and its staff without any ifs or buts. Thank you for the lovely evening. We will be back definitely.

We were here on June 4th and as usual very happy with the food. The cooking is a real enrichment for Zingst. It is rather expensive, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The food and drinks are served attractively, the selection is small but exquisite. We were subsequently able to resolve a disagreement with the service with the owner to our satisfaction. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, we were only here on the last day of our Zingst vacation... otherwise we would certainly have gone more often. Without a doubt the best restaurant in all of Zingst. Extremely tasty dishes and very nice service just great!! We had a green gazpacho with salmon and caramelized goat cheese and for the main course the plaice fillets under the Café de Paris crust and the braised shovel roast of Wolowina Pomeranian beef.

Were guests at the Kochwerk restaurant last night. We chose fish dishes and were thrilled by the taste experience that was served to us there. We give it all the stars there are. The staff was very accommodating. We recommend this restaurant. Keep it up.

We had a delicious meal and the service was also very good. Advance reservations are recommended.

Wir erwarteten eine kreative Küche und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Im geschmackvoll eingerichteten Gastraum nahm meine Frau zunächst einen sehr gelungenen gebratenen Pulpo-Salat (gute Mischung zwischen Aromen, Crunchyness und leichter Schärfe) und ich einen wunderbaren rosa gebratenen Tafelspitz von Kalb zu uns. Beide schmeckten nicht nur sehr gut, sondern wurden darüber hinaus schön auf dem Teller präsentiert. Auch meine gratinierten Filets von der Scholle unter der Café de Paris-Kruste mit Riesling-Schaum, Forellen-Kaviar und Kartoffel-Gurken-Ragout waren wirklich hervorragend. Leider hatte meine Frau bei ihrem gratinierten Dry-Aged Kalbskotelett unter der Café de Paris-Kruste mit Madeirasauce und wildem Stangenbrokkoli deutlich weniger Glück, denn ihre Beilagen waren zwar gut, aber die Hauptsache – das Kalbskotelett - war schlichtweg zäh, kein Genuss und darüber hinaus mit dem Tafelmesser schwer zu schneiden (da wäre ein scharfes Laguiole Steak-Messer besser gewesen). Wiederum sehr überzeugend dann unsere Desserts. Meine Frau genoss das Joghurt-Buttermilch-Basilikum-Espuma. Auch mein Parfait von der Valrhona-Schokolade war einfach klasse. Aufmerksam und korrekt der Service, der aber leider auch erst darauf hingewiesen werden musste, dass der von mir bestellte Grüne Veltliner deutlich zu warm war. Die Zugabe von etwas Eis in den Kühler half nur bedingt; besser wäre es gewesen, die Flasche vorher einfach für 10 Minuten ins Eisfach zu stellen. Insgesamt jedoch ein schönes Abendessen mit einer sehr guten und pfiffigen Küchenleistung und gutem Service, bei denen nur das suboptimale Kalbskotelett und der zu warme Weisswein die Höchstpunktzahl kosteten. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt am Darss gerne wiederkommen, denn das Restaurant ist ein Lichtblick im Restaurant-Einerlei auf der schönen Ostsee-Halbinsel.

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Die Speisen sind optisch wie sensorisch grossartig hergestellt und es war uns immer 1 Genuss dort zu essen. Einen Abend im Kochwerk ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

I planned an overnight stay at Kochwerk Zingst on a longer hike. As soon as I arrived I was greeted extremely warmly. You immediately feel like you've arrived. The room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. Coffee and champagne on the house is not common and makes you even happier. The bathroom is also very nicely decorated. The inn, where breakfast is also served, exudes comfort and harmony. If you find fault with breakfast, you should reconsider your expectations. It impresses across the board in terms of quality, quantity and serving style. The personal closeness of the staff to the guest, there is always time for a short conversation, the question of whether something is still missing is still really alive here. Price-performance ratio for overnight stay with breakfast is within the normal range. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come to Kochwerk as a guest and enjoy it.

We had a very nice evening with delicious food and very friendly, attentive service: The Kochwerk rooms are very comfortably furnished, everything was very clean. Fine dining at reasonable prices.

Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht in Zingst ein Restaurant gefunden zu haben, das sich vom hier üblichen Einerlei durch eine erfrischende kreative Interpretation der norddeutschen Küche auszeichnet. Sowohl der schwarze Heilbutt, wie auch der Wolfsbarsch waren ausgezeichnet. Der Service war aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier.

I was just in the restaurant. And that was pure enjoyment. My selection: baked buffalo mozzarella praline. Then duet by the black-feathered chicken. Multi-faceted accompaniments on the plates. Pea mousse, quinoa chips to potato-kohlrabi ragout. First of all, gin and tonic from the region. Merlot for the main course. Thanks to the extra bread delivery, not one ml of the sauce from the main course survived. Unfortunately, dessert was no longer possible after that. The service was very attentive and helpful. Absolutely great. The best that Zingst has to offer, super nice service and sensationally good food, not to be topped, we were here twice in four days, and will definitely do it more often at the next opportunity. Fantastic!

We are always very enthusiastic about the cooking. Super friendly staff, many thanks to Mirko. The restaurant and the rooms are beautiful. Breakfast and dinner are absolute madness. We'll see each other at least twice more this year. Keep it up . See you soon and warm greetings from us.

About five weeks before our two-week vacation in Zingst, we had reserved a table with a dog (Labrador) by phone for May 18th. We wanted to spend a special evening there on the occasion of my 70th birthday, as the reviews for the restaurant were mostly positive. The table was reserved for 7:30pm and we got there 5 minutes before time. The lady in service offered us a “cat table” in front of the toilet and halfway under the overhanging counter. There was no place at all for the dog to lie down and guests had to step over the dog to go to the toilet. Two tables of four were set up just before we entered the restaurant entered, each occupied by 2 guests. We were just told that we were too late. Within the short time we sat at this table, a few tables became available. When we asked if we could move to one of these tables, the lady told my husband that they were tables for three people. We weren't allowed to move around, it was unbelievable! Our advice that there were only two people at each of the two large tables was ignored. Since we hadn't ordered anything yet, we decided to leave the restaurant. The lady from the service ran after us and asked what was happening again. Such treatment is truly incredible and it really spoiled my special birthday. I hope that the staff will deal with such situations more professionally in the future.
