We've eaten there three times now and often pick up food there when we're on holiday... super nice people and the food is simply excellent, always on point... The cucumber salad is simply delicious... the currywurst, schnitzel with or without Gorgonzola, simply delicious and excellent. The prices are top. We're always happy to come by on our next vacation in Zingst...

Very nice location....service top, attentive staff, glass almost empty, eye contact, the next glass comes, despite the place being full.....food excellent...we'll come back any time...thank you...

The restaurant is centrally located in Zingst and also has outdoor dining. We were there on a Sunday evening, at peak dinner time. Unfortunately we didn't get any more space on the terrace, but a “corner” in the interior was still available. Despite the large crowds, the service was excellent and extremely friendly. We just wanted to eat a little something so we decided on potato pancakes with salmon and fish and chips. We spontaneously ordered the shrimp pot as a shared starter. All three dishes were very good and also rich. We found the price/performance ratio to be very reasonable. We will certainly come back.

We ate at Strandkate 7 to 8 times over the last two holidays. So far we've always enjoyed it. We are therefore happy to recommend the restaurant. There is an outdoor and indoor area. The service is attentive and friendly. The menu has a nice selection of meat and fish dishes. Last time we had pike perch with risotto and green asparagus and penne with shrimp.

Another restaurant that thrilled us on our vacation...everything was freshly prepared and delicious, the service was also friendly and attentive 👍

Even if you have to do something in the season, it's definitely worth it TOP food.

The restaurant operates without reservations. However, the wait is worth it. The food was very tasty and the dog was allowed to come too. Only the place we had right on the path where everyone walks or drives past wasn't quite as comfortable. The team was very attentive. Can be recommended with a clear conscience.

This restaurant is highly recommended. Sunday 11.8. In the evening we got a table without queuing and the food and service were really great even though the restaurant was at full capacity.

The best Solianka soup I have ever eaten, and I have eaten many of them, is right here! Delicious zander and not to mention the remoladade. If you are on Zingst, you must visit this place. We were here 3 years ago and the level and quality of the dishes are still impressive.

Very busy restaurant, but we were lucky on Saturday August 17th, 2024 and got a table for 4 people in the cozy indoor area. Very friendly and fast service, we didn't have to wait long for our food and it was delicious too. Everything at an acceptable price/performance ratio.

Beautiful restaurant that lives up to its name. The food was delicious and the service was simply great. Since you cannot reserve a table, you may have to wait a while. But it's definitely worth it!

Very nice restaurant. Not just the outside area. Very quaint inside too! We were there twice. It's worth it. The first time the schnitzel was baked with Gorgonzola. Plus enough croquettes and a very tasty cucumber salad. On the next visit we ordered the fish platter with fried potatoes and remoulade sauce. Again a large portion and everything was very good. Also the sauce. Price-performance very good. No wonder that the restaurant is always very busy in the evenings. It's time to WAIT. You probably can't make a reservation. We were there around 3 p.m. and were able to choose a table. The food came relatively quickly. Tiny criticism: I would never give my guests a chipped plate at home, not just for cutlery. We apparently had the same chipped plate both days. Still: deserves five stars. For the food, the ambience and the service.

A very popular restaurant in Zingst. Every time you walk past, people are lining up to get a table. AND IT'S WORTH IT!!! After just a few minutes we got a table and the very friendly staff took loving care of us and the kids. The map is clear and no frills. There is fish and home cooking at a good, home-style level. “I haven't eaten fish so well in a long time” was our conclusion.

It was really very tasty. The cod fillet and salmon were great. The tartar sauce is awesome Very friendly staff. After 5 minutes of waiting we had a table straight away. We can really recommend the restaurant.

The fact that you have to wait a while to get a seat wasn't so bad. Well, we were then assigned a place right next to the street fence, you just have to get used to the pedestrians almost falling into your food. BUT we accepted it because of all the positive reviews here. First of all, the food was very tasty. We both ordered the house fish platter. My fish platter consisted of 3x end pieces (approx. 5cm x 5cm triangular) under a very large mountain of fried potatoes. The second plate had quite large pieces of fillet on it. But after a very long wait, I didn't want to complain.

A nice quaint restaurant. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, the taste is really top notch 👍🏻 A 10-minute wait for a table for 4 when the restaurant was full at 7 p.m. was also perfectly fine.

Simply top class from a to z!!!! Ordered for collection when the hut was more than full and the waiting time was sweetened with a wheat on the house half an hour excellent for the full shop. And the food was also super good, mega good burgers and fries! The many small extra requests were responded to without any ifs and buts. Super friendly staff! There was always movement but always stress-free, you could easily see that everyone had a lot to do but it was very coordinated and calm, really nice to see. There's just nothing to complain about. We got food to take home, but the atmosphere in the restaurant is also very nice.

Wir wurden sehr nett bedient, für die Kinder gab' es Stifte und kleine Knobel-/Ausmalhefte und wir bekamen zeitnah unser Essen. Das Essen war richtig lecker (Heringsplatte, gebratener Kabeljau mit Bratkartoffeln, Nudeln mit Tomatensoße und Pommes). Eines der Kinder hat (natürlich) Pommes gegessen und die waren wirklich knusprig. Bessere haben wir im Restaurant nach unserer Erinnerung bislang nicht gegessen. Auch unser Fisch war sehr gut und die Remoulade war sehr leicht und schmackhaft. Besonders nett fanden wir, dass die Bedienung einem unserer Kinder noch einen Schuss Sprudel in den Kirschsaft gekippt hat, als sie mitbekommen hat, dass er im Nachhinein meinte, doch lieber eine Schorle trinken zu wollen. Und in die Tüte mit dem übrig gebliebenen Essen gab's für die Kinder noch einen Lolli. Wir fanden das richtig nett und es hat bei uns einen bleibenden positiven Eindruck hinterlassen. Alles in allem war es für uns ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in schönem, gemütlichem Ambiente mit sehr leckerem Essen und einer kinderfreundlichen Bedienung. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Sehr angenehme und ruhige Atmosphäre, nette Bedienung und wirklich gutes Essen. Wir hatten gebratenen Kabejau mit Senfsosse, Bratkartoffeln und Gurkensalat. Alles sehr gut gemacht und lecker. Die Preise sind für die Qualität absolut in Ordnung. Wir können das Restaurant guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Wer nach Zingst reist, sollte mal in der Strandkate vorbeischauen.

When we were there at the beginning of mid-June 2024, it was pretty cool in the evenings and we didn't want to eat outside. Unfortunately, in the 2 weeks we were there we only managed to eat there twice.

We were here for lunch today and had plaice and zander fillet. We are excited. Very highly recommended. Friendly, quick service and very tasty food.

You can't make a reservation at the moment and you might have to wait a little longer for a table at peak times, but it's worth it. Delicious food and the service was friendly and on the ball. A very cozy, very busy restaurant just a stone's throw from the promenade. Definitely worth a visit. You are immediately greeted in a friendly manner. The very friendly service did everything right and you felt comfortable right from the start. I was given good advice, the food was very tasty and the plate was generously filled. It is also positive that there are small tables where you can sit alone and not feel lost like you would at a large table. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is warm and the outdoor area is very inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant 👍🏻

Das Lokal war sehr schön eingerichtet (im Meeres/Strand Flair), die Bedienung war sehr freundlich (kein Stress mit der Bestellung und die freundliche Erkundigung ob alles zu unserer zufriedenheit isr) und das Essen war extrem lecker mit einem angemessenen Preis Leistung Verhältnis (man hat nicht das gefühl sein Geld verschwendet zu haben). Werde im nächsten Urlaub auf jeden Fall wieder mit meiner Familie dort hingehen.

The wait in front of the entrance is worth it. It's super delicious. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy. You can sit inside and outside. In bad weather, the outside seating is covered with large awnings. Radiant heaters are mounted underneath.

We were lucky and got a table directly outside. We could see that people were queuing up to eat here. We can definitely understand the good rating here. Portions were large and good value for money. Unfortunately, the terrace doesn't have a nice view and the plastic furniture is a bit annoying.

We got a seat by chance and were able to try the different dishes. Wonderful, fresh fish, fried to perfection. The turkey liver with the sauce we ordered was super tasty and juicy. The Strandkate is and remains our favorite restaurant in Zingst. We have been coming to Zingst for over ten years, ended up in the Strandkate by chance on our first stay and have been coming back every time since then for at least 2-3 visits per stay. Cozy atmosphere, very friendly, attentive staff and great food. Above all, the fried potatoes and the Remo beach cats are a dream, definitely try them!

Leckeres kleines Restaurant. Wir sind in Zingst Stammgäste und waren letztes Jahr schon einmal hier im Restaurant. Diesmal war es wieder sehr lecker. Auf der Karte stand Spargel 👍🏻 den haben wir gleich einmal probiert. Die Speisen kamen schnell, die Bedienung war aufmerksam. Wir saßen draußen, gegen denn Kuhlen Wind und den frischen Temperaturen wurde mit einer Decke und Heizstrahler Abhilfe geschaffen. Was wir nicht so schön finden und fanden, dass man keinen Tisch reservieren kann. So ist immer eine Wartezeit notwendig. Können wir nicht so, gerade wenn man weiß wo man abends hin gehen möchte.

Delicious little restaurant. We are regular guests in Zingst and were in the restaurant here last year. This time it was very tasty again. There was asparagus on the menu 👍🏻 we tried it straight away. The food came quickly and the service was attentive. We sat outside, because the cool wind and the fresh temperatures were helped with a blanket and a heater. What we don't like is that you can't reserve a table. So a waiting time is always necessary. We can't do that, especially if you know where you want to go in the evening.
