Excellent service Food very tasty

We were at the Schützenhaus again today for my son's birthday. As always, we were very satisfied with the food, the super friendly service, and the authentic Palatinate atmosphere. We will definitely come again.

The staff is very friendly. I've been there over ten times. I have absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend it. It's advisable to reserve a table beforehand (it's a good idea). Therefore, I give it 5 stars.

We've been to the Schützenhaus several times and, as always, were very satisfied. The service was quick and attentive, as always. The food was piping hot, just as it should be. Reservations are always recommended, as the Schützenhaus is quite popular. In short, we'll definitely be back.

This was my second time at this restaurant, and the staff were incredibly friendly and excellent. The first time I had the gourmet platter, which was already very good, but the Mexican platter was simply world-class. It was perfectly seasoned and deserves a thousand stars. I'd gladly come back again and again; this Mexican platter is so good it's addictive.

We arrived at the Waldgasthaus Schützenhaus (Forest Inn) around 5:30 pm, just 15 minutes after making a reservation by phone. We wanted to show our friends from Rheinhessen that you can still enjoy a wide variety of delicious and plentiful meals at our Waldgasthaus Schützenhaus. The price-performance ratio is excellent here. The menu is diverse and vibrant. The dishes are delicious and perfectly seasoned. They also serve a really good mixed side salad. The staff is incredibly friendly; the owner and Theo embody hospitality in an almost familial, welcoming atmosphere. After our delicious and generous meal, Theo asked if we'd like a schnapps. Whether it was Amaretto, apple-pear schnapps, an espresso, or a Ramazzotti – Theo even brought me ice and lemon – what service and true hospitality! Thank you so much! It's a place you'll want to come back to, where you'll feel comfortable and be thoroughly pampered. Highly recommended!

We were a large hiking group with several children and visited the Schützenhaus (shooting lodge). Of course, we had made a reservation beforehand, which worked out perfectly. Our entire group was very pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, the delicious food, and especially the hospitality of the owner. The most remarkable thing for us, however, was the wonderful and attentive treatment of the children. They were never seen as disruptive (and yes, things can get a bit lively at a children's table), all their food requests were fulfilled, and they were even given gummy bears and ice cream as gifts. The food is good, traditional fare, delicious, and simply superb for a hiking lodge. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

We had lunch at the Schützenhaus (we had booked in advance) in a large group. It was packed, but the team handled it with ease! Despite the busy atmosphere, everyone felt warmly welcomed. After a lovely hike, we spontaneously decided to stop here for a bite to eat. The entrance smelled like a toilet. Inside the restaurant, we stood around for a while, like we'd left a reservation. However, we were lucky and were allowed to sit at a large table with others. Our order was taken and processed very quickly. Unfortunately, our food wasn't great! We ordered Jägerschnitzel with fries. We received two schnitzels, one of which was partially burnt, while the other was okay. The sauce tasted good. What was really great was the abundance of mushrooms (I've never had so many in a Jäger sauce before). Review: It's okay to eat here once in a while.

I didn't want to go to the touristy restaurants in Bad Dürkheim for dinner, so after some Googling, I stumbled upon this place. I fired up the GPS and headed there. On the way, I did wonder, "Am I really still on the right track?" But once you find the rather large Schützenhaus (shooting range building) in the woods, you know you've made the right choice. After a warm welcome, we were quickly seated even without a reservation, and the service was excellent and always attentive. The food was very good, and our glasses were never empty for long. To finish, we enjoyed an espresso or the house schnapps. Unfortunately, I had to leave quite early and had to leave just as the regular restaurant service was closing and the place was switching to a cozy pub atmosphere. Otherwise, I could have easily lingered there. In short: If you enjoy good company, are looking for good food and drinks at a fair price, and want to share a few laughs with the Schützenhaus team, this is the place for you. The best part? I'm sure this wasn't my last time there.

Since we consider ourselves regulars, or rather, it's become our go-to restaurant, I can wholeheartedly recommend the rump steak! It's always delicious and presented perfectly. I can't understand all the good reviews. Two people were there today. We both returned our food. I've honestly never had such a bad meal. The goulash was completely overcooked, and the red cabbage and mashed potatoes were definitely reheated. At least we got a discount.

The Schützenhaus is ALWAYS a destination. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and forest, it's the best place to stop by and enjoy the excellent Palatinate cuisine. My favorite is the gourmet schnitzel. But coffee and cake lovers are also well catered for. The waitresses are super friendly and quick. They are happy to accommodate special requests. I love the Schützenhaus.
