The best pizzeria between Munich and Stetten in the Rhön region. The pizzas are sensational, the best pizza dough ever, generously topped, and unbeatable in taste. Not to be forgotten is the unique seafood salad with seaweed balls. We'll definitely be back!

We've been going to Modo Mio for years. Now we wanted to try this restaurant. The evening was a complete disaster. None of us could remember ever having eaten so badly. For an aperitif, I ordered a "Mandarin Spritz." This "spritz" was a mixture of syrup and water and so cloyingly sweet that it burned my throat. Price: €8! For my main course, I had baby calamari, which, while quite overpriced (4 pieces for a whopping €24), was at least edible. My two companions were a different story... Tortellini (not even remotely fresh pasta), an incredible amount, but undercooked. The sauce was simply seasoned cream. The other companion's spaghetti was similar. We also ordered bruschetta. The bread was hard on the outside, completely soggy on the inside. The topping consisted of nothing but watery tomatoes, with no flavor at all. Spices or basil... none. Furthermore, a bread basket was carelessly slammed down on us. The bread was so old you could have broken your teeth on it. The highlight of the evening, however, was the owner's reaction! After we dared to point out the dry bread (we didn't even get to the rest), we were given a loud lecture about how Italian bread is always hard and how we have no idea about Italian cuisine. When I suggested that maybe he should just take this criticism as a suggestion instead of immediately insulting the guests, he only became more annoyed. After the whole thing became unbearable, we ordered the bill and fled the restaurant. We paid the full price. As "compensation," however, we were given a €5 voucher for our next visit. We were very happy to leave the voucher behind, because we will definitely never visit this restaurant again! A waste of every cent.

The best Italian restaurant I know. The food is simply fantastic. Today we had the antipasti for two and shared a pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the covered terrace. The ambiance was very nice. The staff was super friendly.

The restaurant was recommended to us, and the food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service didn't match. The reception was neutral, after the main course, we were forgotten, and then we ran out of time, so we had to forgo ordering dessert. A shame.

Six of us went to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and it was a wonderful evening all around! 🎉 The atmosphere is cozy and typically Italian – you immediately feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious! From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was freshly prepared and lovingly presented. We especially recommend the pizza and seafood – a wonderful selection! The service was also excellent – attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. We felt well looked after, which made the birthday even more special. We recently visited the restaurant for the first time. Perhaps we were just having a bad day. But we can't agree with the positive reviews here, at least not for our visit. The "Tagliolini Tartufo" was oversalted and served cold, the "Fiat 500" pizza had too thin a crust and was way overpriced for the quality it delivered. For the undressed "Insalata Mista," we had to order extra oil and vinegar to our table. The staff weren't very attentive and seemed a bit uninspired, if not even arrogant. All in all, a reason for us to call it a one-time visit.

Well, the food was okay, but I think it's too expensive. The beer garden wasn't really great. They put the tablecloth on it while you're already seated. I told the staff I had allergies and asked them to change my order. Unfortunately, it still came out the same.

A real piece of Italy near Erlangen! The restaurant is run by two warm Italians who work with passion and attention to detail. The food was simply fantastic - we had pasta, pizza and the house wine, everything was fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty. The service was also great: friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, you immediately feel at home.

Great, authentic Italian restaurant, highly recommended! We went to the Vulcani Del Sud over the long weekend in Erlangen, on the nice recommendation of the wine shop “Wohlsein”. And everything was as recommended! Great service with empathetic and very nice employees, very good food, felt authentic to us, especially the pizza! And for us it's a good sign if an above-average number of "compatriots" go there to eat. Fair price-performance ratio! We were there with our little, well-behaved beagle, that wasn't a problem, we got the perfect table for that too.
