Great food and nice service with humor and charm!

We celebrated our daughter's First Communion – a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and our Gianni provided very friendly, yet professional service. Thank you, we'll see you soon.

The waiters were all helpful and kind and the food was delicious.

I don't understand the rave reviews. The food was good, but far from "the best pizza." Plus, today, on a Friday, it was very busy, VERY loud, and the service was slow.

Unfortunately, I can't share the great reviews... tried it twice and it was okay at best... the price/performance ratio isn't right at all. I'd rather go to the Pasta Kantine in Tennenlohe.

A real piece of Italy near Erlangen! The restaurant is run by two warm Italians who work with passion and attention to detail. The food was simply fantastic - we had pasta, pizza and the house wine, everything was fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty. The service was also great: friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, you immediately feel at home.

Better Italians in and around Erlangen!!!

We have been here twice so far and are very impressed with this restaurant. The menu offers a selection but is not overloaded and this is reflected in the quality of the food. The service is always friendly and easy to deal with, and also gives appropriate recommendations. This is where we would and will return.

What a great evening and what a great Italian. This was our first time with you and we promise it won't be the last time. The starters were very good. In terms of taste and presentation. Top 👍 The main course was also an absolute taste experience. Sensational 👍. And now for dessert. I let the boss do it. And it was a poem. Summary: I think he is one of the best Italians in Erlangen. Great, authentic Italian restaurant, highly recommended! We went to the Vulcani Del Sud over the long weekend in Erlangen, on the nice recommendation of the wine shop “Wohlsein”. And everything was as recommended! Great service with empathetic and very nice employees, very good food, felt authentic to us, especially the pizza! And for us it's a good sign if an above-average number of "compatriots" go there to eat. Fair price-performance ratio! We were there with our little, well-behaved beagle, that wasn't a problem, we got the perfect table for that too.

The food was prepared very quickly and was very tasty! I can recommend baked salmon with puree. The atmosphere was very nice and beautiful!

For one evening we felt at home, like being with family! We were greeted with a smile by the owner who put us at ease by seating us at the table we preferred. From the long chat, what emerged above all was the passion that the two partners put into their work. The place is very nice, tastefully furnished and with some "goodies" that I won't reveal so as not to ruin the surprise for those who haven't been there yet………. We ate some excellent pizzas of which we especially appreciated the quality of the ingredients but also the expert hand of the pizza chef; we are Neapolitans and we are demanding about pizza :) With great honesty I must say that the pizza is superior to other more "famous" pizzerias in Erlangen. The place is not very central but certainly worth a detour. Even our request for some variation of the pizzas on the menu was satisfied with a smile (and that's not to be taken for granted!). Honest account and in line with the cost of living in Germany. The amaro offered at the end of the evening was greatly appreciated by all of us. We will be back soon to try the kitchen but also the outdoor terrace Thanks for a lovely evening!!

Excellent Italian restaurant very well managed both for service, hospitality and quality of food. We tasted a bit of everything from appetizers with burrata to pizza, first and second courses and dessert. Very fresh ingredients and obviously Made in Italy. Ample parking outside and 20 minutes from the center of Nuremberg. It's worth going there.

The food is very good and made to perfection just like in Italy. We took different dishes from the meat first course to the pizza and it was all delicious. Dessert ended the dinner on a positive note. With Gianni's friendly and professional service we felt at home: we will definitely return!

Man fühlt sich hier wirklich gut aufgehoben - wie bei einer Familie, die sich mit Hingabe um ihre Gäste kümmert. Der Service ist schnell und professionell, immer mit einem Lächeln und einer herzlichen Geste. Zum Essen – das war richtig gut! Wir haben sowohl Feinkost als auch rustikale Gerichte bestellt, und jedes einzelne war ein Genuss. Die Aromen sind authentisch und perfekt abgestimmt, und man merkt, dass hier mit viel Leidenschaft und Hingabe gearbeitet wird. Die Desserts rundeten unser Essen wunderbar ab: sie waren extrem lecker und auch Klassiker wie Tiramisu mit Feinheit komponiert. Der Espresso zum Abschluss war ebenfalls hervorragend! Wir können Volcani del Sud in Erlangen nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier stimmt einfach alles – von der Atmosphäre über den Service bis hin zu der unglaublichen Qualität des Essens. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, bei dem man sich von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute bestens aufgehoben fühlt! Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Danke für die gute Zeit!

Yesterday we had a company outing with 6 people. I haven't experienced something like that in a long time. The food is simply wonderful, like at la Mama's. Super nice service. Prices surprisingly cheap, but top quality products. We have to drive a good half to three quarters of an hour, but we will come back. See you soon and keep it up.

He manages to make you immediately feel at home, as if you were part of a big Italian family. For anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience: I can highly recommend Vulcani del Sud! Every visit here becomes a highlight.

A wonderful place with authentic people who bring southern flair to the small town near Erlangen - and incredibly delicious food. A true paradise for seafood lovers! But even without seafood, guests will receive excellent hospitality. You almost feel like a member of the family and can enjoy the lovingly prepared dishes in a southern Italian atmosphere. Really excellent Italian pizza restaurant! Really tasty pizza, with large crust, well cooked and very "Neapolitan", explicitly revealing the Chef's origins. Very tasty penne with ragù, like homemade and tasty paccheri. Tasty lasagna, grilled octopus accompanied with a very tasty pumpkin-based sauce. Amazing Sganascino: very tender meat that melts in your mouth and you don't have to use a knife to cut it! Highly recommended. To be positioned in Germany, here you can really believe, even for just a couple of hours, that you are in Italy!

Nice restaurant that is popular with guests. Ordered the marinara pizza. I had never seen so much tomato sauce on a pizza in my life. I know the pizza from Italy. What I got here was a thick tomato soup with pizza bread. My friends' other pizzas also had a lot of sauce and the pizza base was soggy. What didn't convince me and others was the pizza crust: not crispy even though it had dark spots from the heat. The taste of the pizza crust was also not inviting to bite into. The service is very friendly. The prices are high and adapted to the well-off clientele from Erlangen. Otherwise I saw happy and satisfied guests. Just my culinary opinion. Personally, I can't recommend it.

We come from Munich and were looking for a restaurant for dinner: already rated on Google Maps, we found this very nice restaurant. The decor was nice, the food was very good, the staff was super nice. All in all great, we will come again when we drive from Munich to Upper Franconia.
