Lovely food, great service, good ambiance! Only improvement I can suggest is having the menu both in German and English to account for international guests

Thank you for the delicious breakfast, we felt very comfortable and had a very good start to the day.

We were there for dinner at the end of December. The ambience is very nice, lots of decoration, but not overloaded. Service is very friendly, but almost incomprehensibly quiet. Food took a little longer, almost 45 minutes, and the restaurant was 50% full when we ordered. The selection is sufficient. I had previously been in contact because of allergies or intolerances, but somehow you couldn't change anything about the food and I picked out a lot of things. Spaghetti skandi was delicious, even if the salmon was forgotten the first time it was served. The vegan meal, broccoli and millet patties on root vegetables, was a bit burnt and therefore very dry, the vegetables still had a good bite. Price-performance okay. Make a reservation in advance, it is very busy.

We liked the beautiful shop, interior and presentation. Very attentive service, very nice. But when it comes to the food - it's a higher-priced restaurant, and the standards are naturally different than perhaps in the restaurant next door. The idea is that you select individual dishes from the menu in the form of a tapa and thus get a comprehensive insight into Mediterranean cuisine. Unfortunately, several items on the menu were "off", probably the classics, at least we would have liked to try them. I ask myself, ok, it's "out", but why don't you buy it in the morning, especially since we're talking about ribs and chicken, so available in every supermarket?! The reference to a new map isn't really any consolation, since you're there today, not tomorrow. But ok. The Spezzatino, beef braised in tomatoes, was really tasty in itself, but partly not edible because the meat was unfortunately very fatty and tough. So it's more of a problem with the original product - someone cooked it well, but didn't pay close attention to the preparation. Same with the grilled artichokes, delicious, I actually like them. Unfortunately, the leaves were fibrous and sometimes hard, so you constantly had to pull something out of your mouth. Oh well. So, complaining at a high level somewhere. But in the end we were rather disappointed because price and performance always didn't match for us. The dishes on offer aren't rocket science in terms of cooking - and the individual product has to be really good at this price level, which unfortunately wasn't the case.

Food is super delicious. The whole concept is great. The service was super nice, but unfortunately not very attentive. The empty plates remained at our table for a long time and we would have liked to have a coffee after dinner, but no one came. Then we paid and left.

We ate our way across the menu. it was fantastic: seasoned and cooked down to the smallest detail. great basic ingredient combinations that really taste good. Thanks!

Ambience and service were impeccable! Above all, the service is worth highlighting! We weren't 100% convinced of the "Querbeet" menu for the hefty price of 32 euros per person! All in all, “complaining” at a high level. We'll definitely come back and try out the diverse menu again.

Unfortunately it was rather disappointing for us. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for a table and then it took almost an hour for our breakfast platter to arrive. Some of the food was cold or only lukewarm. The coffee was delicious and the play area was nicely decorated. The service was quite nice.

A beautiful ambience combined with great service made our breakfast on a Saturday something very special.

Refreshing restaurant concept. If you want to have a nice evening in a cozy atmosphere, this is the right place for you. Unlike many other restaurants, there are no double bookings here. Instead, you can enjoy the menu - if desired - in a relaxed manner over a period of two or three hours. The service knows how to impress from minute one: good and thoughtful recommendations for wine and food are available in both English and German. And ultimately, in addition to the charming ambience, the food is also convincing. When it comes to the dishes on offer, it is clear that the owners have an eye on individual design and therefore recognition value.

It was a very pleasant New Year's Eve, with great food and a good atmosphere. Successful all around.

Nice, warm, welcoming atmosphere and interior design. Perfect service, friendly, patient, interested, helpful - totally customer oriented. I had tortellini which was really tasty, but also artichoke and these were sort of boring. My friends also had mixed experiences with their choices. It all sounds nice and looks good, but some isn‘t as good as it should be given the price. Also drinks are rather expensive. Food and price would be a three, but because of the great service and atmosphere it’s a four.

I made a reservation for 8 people at the Herzstück by chance without ever having been there. We were there for brunch. The food was excellent. From the service to the ambience, you absolutely can't fault it. We were very satisfied!

Very nice atmosphere and very child-friendly! Great play area for children & fully equipped changing table. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for breakfast even though the shop wasn't full (Friday, 9 a.m.). The food looked great, but was mostly cold (pancakes & French toast). Great facility, polite staff, food so-so, waiting time tiring.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Erlangen! We love being here, the food and service are great! Beautiful ambience and the Querbeet menu is definitely recommended!! The breakfast is also super delicious.

It was a super successful evening. After visiting the Christmas market with colleagues, we went to the heart of the event. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The card is awesome. If you like drinking good wines, you're definitely in good hands here. But first we decided on the Querbeet menu. Since there were three of us, we each chose 2 of 6 dishes. These are like tapas that are designed for the number of people sitting at the table. Cool concept. As a starter there was delicious bread with even better butter, which was definitely homemade. The 6 Gjleinen dishes were then served to us 2 times 3 based on our recommendation. Then it won't get cold. What can you say? There's nothing left. It was simply delicious. We will definitely come back 👍. Until then all I can say is. Keep it up with your ❤️kindness. You're great 👍

Very nice atmosphere. The food is nicely prepared, but the taste is not great. Breakfast was also cold. The restaurant was full, so the service was very slow, but that's generally okay.

Impressively different cuisine, we have nothing to complain about.

Colleagues and I wanted to spend a nice evening together and end the day on a nice note. So I started looking for a nice location. I found the heart of it on the internet. Very tastefully decorated and the food looked delicious too. I was looking forward to this evening. Reservations online are possible for up to eight people. But when our group grew, I had to increase it via email. Then came the information: from 9 people onwards we no longer offer a la carte orders but only two variants of our Querbeet sharing menu. These then cost 32 EUR (or 40 EUR) per person. I find it a bit strange to be presented with a fait accompli like this. If it had already been stated on their HP in advance, I would not have made a reservation. So unfortunately I canceled because I can't ask my colleagues to shell out EUR 32 (without drinks) for a nice evening. So of course I can't say anything about the food, but the email correspondence was very nice and the location of the pictures too. Hence from me ***

The café is visually very nice and cozy. There is always a lot going on, so it is advisable to make a reservation, especially for breakfast. The whole team was very nice and even when there was a lot going on, you didn't get the feeling that anyone was stressed. However, the price-quantity ratio of some dishes is negative for us. A slice of bread with some pumpkin spread and spinach for around €14 is a lot. We would have expected a second slice so that we would be full. Of course everything is top quality, but some dishes are just too small for the money.

Great restaurant with dedicated, attentive service staff and really excellent cuisine with a large selection of vegetarian dishes (but there is also meat). Prices adjusted to the Erlangen level, I would say. However, I think 8.20 euros for an aperitif (Sarti Spritze) is a bit excessive.

We felt completely at home in the heart of the place because it is super cozy and the service left nothing to be desired. We were served quickly and very friendly. The dinner was delicious and the preparation of the food was exceptional. However, the fries and fish could have been warmer. What I find particularly remarkable is the perfect equipment of the changing table - even though we were there without a child... We would love to come back! 😊

Everything was really great! The only thing I would have liked with a larger group would be to increase the time from 2 hours reservation (possibly only on request) to 3 hours.

The “Choose 4 Meal Breakfast Special” was great. With 2 people it gets a bit much and it would be better if all 4 dishes didn't come at the same time, but 2x2 so that none of the delicious dishes get cold.

The breakfast in the heart is very pleasant, even a larger group is served attentively and adequately, professionally. The selection of dishes is not everyday (Shakshuka, poached eggs, pancakes etc...). There is a play area for small children and there is also a play area for dogs 💜 (... piece 😉)

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Our starter was pretty good. The main course is less so. “Hanging Tender” with a hefty price of €29 - the steak was far too well-done so that some of it was not edible. The chimichurri was missing. The “triple cooked fries” tasted very fatty. - What a shame!

Both dinner and breakfast in the centerpiece are highly recommended (and certainly lunch too). At dinner we were lucky that there was live music, which was a great accompaniment to the exceptionally tasty and interesting dishes, the large selection makes it difficult to decide. The service is very warm and friendly. The same applies to breakfast, "pink oats" and shakshuka are both highly recommended. The lovely play area for children is particularly interesting for people with children, which makes visiting the restaurant more interesting for the little ones. The ambience is outstanding anyway, half-timbered house and very successful interior design round off the visit in addition to the taste and service. Great experience!

I was amazed by everything again: the food is being reinvented and opens up special worlds of taste. The service is super accommodating and incredibly nice. The only negative point: it is very loud in the restaurant and I don't find it easy to have a conversation with several people at the table. I would recommend having the interior design checked by professionals to see if the noise level can be reduced somehow.

Yesterday I had dinner at Herzstück with two friends and, like every time, I immediately felt at home there. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, you can feel the love for design in every detail. The meal was a real treat - the burrata I chose was tender and literally melted in the mouth. I also enjoyed a refreshing lemon lavender spritzer, which went perfectly with it. I was particularly impressed by the attentive service: I immediately responded to my request to give us a quieter table because I wanted to have a business conversation. I heartily recommend the centerpiece - a wonderful place that inspires every time!

We were in the heart of the city for the first time today. First of all, the waitresses were all super nice and the coffee was good. What I didn't like so much was the choice of food. There are dishes “just for children” on the menu. This also includes scrambled eggs. Since I would have liked to have one (or two) scrambled eggs with my meal, I was told that this was not possible because it was only for children. It's okay from my point of view, but then either an exception should be made or at least a similar dish should be offered for adults. I also wanted a smoothie from the menu after coffee. Here too it was said that there are no more today. (I don't know why. It was still open for at least an hour). Hence 4 stars.

First restaurant visited whilst in germany erlangen and it beat my expectations. Hopefully would be visiting again.

The heart of the restaurant on Schiffstraße is located in the middle of the old town of Erlangen. Parking spaces can be found in the immediate vicinity at the theater car park and the Fuchsenwiese. We spontaneously got a table this morning on the holiday and were able to enjoy a great and delicious breakfast. The service and the owner are very warm, the service is attentive and friendly. The porridge bowl, the scrambled eggs with harissa and the cheese selection were very good. The café and chai latte were really good, especially the cappuccino. It's really beautifully decorated and you feel very comfortable in the heart of it. It's nice that this restaurant exists.

If you want to escape from everyday life and be pampered by friendly, courteous staff and delicious food, this is the right place for you. Perfectly happy!

Our favorite place for brunch in Erlangen. The turkish eggs are a delight. Good coffee and smoothies as well. Would definitely recommend.

All the dishes looked good, service at the table was nice and attentive. Food was so-so. Everything was overcooked too soft for my taste, too little texture and far too little aromatic. Crafted so mediocre: Shrimp were dry. Butter looked like margarine and tasted like nothing. Chocolate mousse was strangely mushy. It's not my thing. The chairs at the next table were put up while we were still sitting. And more light in the store would be nice.

The four of us had dinner last night. Online reservation was easy and worked. Service was very attentive, friendly and warm. The food was great in every respect, from the presentation to the taste and also in terms of the quantity and speed of the meal (despite the full restaurant). A special restaurant in the middle of Erlangen, a cool, hip location where you quickly feel at home, this is our second visit there. Food is great and a great variety. You can tell it was prepared and served with love. We'll definitely be back!

Super nice team who even made me a smoothie in the evening (I can't eat solid food at the moment), even though it's only on the breakfast menu! Central, parking nearby, pretty inside, cozy outside. What more could you want? Oh yes, the oat milk is available at no extra charge 😉 👍👍👍

A very nice restaurant that offers very tasty and loving food. The menu is a little smaller, but the dishes are well thought out and creatively combined. Unfortunately, the dishes are relatively expensive and the portions are sufficient but not particularly large. As a woman you are definitely full; as a man it might be a little too little. The service is very nice and friendly and attention is paid to intolerances and special requests. The restaurant is very inviting and you feel very comfortable. It's especially nice in summer when you can sit outside.

We went there spontaneously for dinner yesterday and got a table. We chose the tapas menu for two. The individual dishes tasted very good. The only thing that detracts from the very good overall impression is that we had to warn about the second round. Overall, a top address in Erlangen if you like Mediterranean food.

My favorite café in Erlangen... not only because of their special menu, but also for their friendly and international staff and beautiful design. I could go there every day :)

However, the portions have become a little smaller since the breakfast selection for 2 people. 2 small crostini instead of 2 breads like before is a bit small, especially when the prices have also been increased. Otherwise varied and creative as always.

A rather extravagant breakfast offer You won't find a normal sausage or cheese platter or even a boiled egg here... The eye is clearly eating here but the taste of the sandwich and egg in tomato sauce leaves a lot to be desired .. There was no salt and pepper at the table Scrambled eggs were only available for children... Unfortunately, 4 tables that ordered after us were served food and drinks before us... but I think that was in the kitchen and not because of the friendly service the service was very nice and very kind. There are hardly any more friendly waitresses The location is nice and well located
