A total failure! Vogelbräu Ettlingen – a complete disaster!” If I could, I would give zero stars. Our visit to Vogelbräu Ettlingen was by far the worst dining experience we've had in a long time. As soon as we entered, the staff were hard to find, and when we were finally noticed, we felt more like a disruption than paying guests. The service? Subterraneanly slow, completely disinterested and unfriendly. To eat: Tasteless, bland and served cold. It looked like it had been lying around for hours before it came to us. I expected a lot from the supposedly “home-brewed” beer – but what we got was stale and tasted like stale water. A bitter failure! And the ambience? Anything but comfortable. It was incredibly loud, chaotic and stuffy. You had the feeling of sitting in a train station and not in a brewery. After this experience, I can only advise everyone not to waste their time and money here. Conclusion: A visit to Vogelbräu Ettlingen is a waste of money and a complete waste of time. Absolutely not recommended!

Tomo (not sure about the name) has been the best possible host. He was very helpful. He offered us to taste the three beers and recommended food ! He was nice and smiling all time ! Food and beer was very good Atmosphere was just excellent We had a very good moment and diner ! Thank you

Terribly disappointed today. I don't know the bird like that. The kitchen has been closed since 10 p.m., there is only dry, hard pretzels left and the service is not interested in sales. Luckily there are other pubs where customers are still served in a friendly manner.

The food isn't bad and the place has a pleasant atmosphere, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I had reserved a table by phone, but when I arrived I didn't find a sign with my name on it. So I asked where I could sit down with my colleagues. The waitress, named Natalja, replied rudely with “So? “Just sit there.” When she came to our table, the story continued: with a maximally dissatisfied face and short answers, she took our order and showed her dislike. If service in this style is normal for you, you will enjoy spending time there. However, if you respect yourself, you should choose another place or ask another waitress because the others were just amazing!

Seems to always be busy because of the good food and beer from their own brewery. We reserved a table, which made sense in the early evening. We had a lovely evening with good service.

I have known and visited Vogel in Ettlingen for over 20 years. I've been away for a long time and now that my partner and I have just arrived back home, I wanted to visit the beer garden. That's the plan... We found a free seat outside, the table was so sticky that we got up and went to the next one. Here too the surfaces stuck; Overall, it didn't seem particularly inviting. There should be grilled chicken with fries. The food came very quickly and was carelessly prepared. The grilled chicken was dry, the fries were okay - but unfortunately nothing more. Overall the visit was a total disappointment. We finished eating outside quite quickly (as did other visitors), as whole swarms of blowflies came to the table with the food. It was more than just uncomfortable. When I think of visits from 10 years ago, I remember friendly, attentive and tough staff - real SERVICE staff with a personal touch. When I think of the food at Vogel in the past, it was never star cuisine, but it was exactly what Vogelbräu stands for and promotes: down-to-earth, good food. The price and performance were also right. Today that is no longer the case. Maybe we'll try it again in the winter; Currently there is no reason to come back again.

The food was tasty, but it arrived separately so I had finished eating by the time my brothers food came. Also the waiters took ages to come with the bill and they got quite mixed up with the food.

I've been coming to Vogelbräu Ettlingen regularly since day one. On football days (KSC) football is offered without sound. You wait 40 minutes for service. Service has deteriorated extremely.

Unfortunately our drink didn't arrive at the same time because I had forgotten what drink I had ordered. 3 tables came after us and had their food beforehand. This spoiled our mood to eat. After a total of an hour of waiting, we decided to leave.

The service came and took food and drink... very friendly... but then it was over... the food came before the drink... 2 cyclists 1 Fanta... there really wasn't much going on... .that doesn't work at all....1x veal bratwurst with potato salad, well prepared; 1x Maultaschen also with potato salad (mega from the butcher's Glasstetter) also nicely prepared.... and then 2-3 minutes later schnitzel from the frying pan (the meat was killed 3 times if that's even possible) it only tasted like breading and that Sauce, supposedly beer sauce after tomatoes...that was the worst for a long time and by far...actually inedible...that's why I can only give 2 stars for the food...actually 1x4, 1x5 and 1x nothing... ..but it doesn't work... The waitress noticed it right away... and here's a big compliment... she straight up admitted that it was a Fritööösenschnitzel... did the Vogelbräu really need it???? It's a shame actually... That's it... PS: The waterless pee basin in the toilet is ok... but it shouldn't smell like urine...

Very pleasant brewery as you would imagine. It smells of beer and food, the variety in the beer selection is amazing. In my opinion, the best beer in Germany. Unfortunately, the staff is mostly stressed and not relaxed.

On a Tuesday lunchtime, the service lost all overview of the small number of visitors. The food, half chicken with fries, was also better. Basically, breweries are similar, large rooms with high ceilings, two powerful copper brewing kettles exclusively placed on one side, often a gallery and, in the summer, a cozy beer garden. In addition, a tightly managed service and a kitchen that is geared towards quick turnaround. Sometimes there is a plastic tree in the middle. The Vogel Hausbräu is no different. It's a solid shop, the naturally cloudy beer is drinkable, the prices are very moderate, but at the expense of the quality of the goods purchased. For example, the beer biters don't work at all, they're far too greasy and have no taste. When purchasing, more attention should be paid to quality and probably also sustainability. The schnitzel comes far too quickly to be fresh out of the pan, the breading is far too dark, the taste makes up for the lemon, the brown sauce is supposed to be a beer sauce but is far too instant for me, the fries are perfectly fine . The service is very friendly and open to private, fun chat. But only until the clock strikes midnight, then warnings come very quickly to drink up and leave quickly. At five past twelve the manager comes along, accompanied by other tall men, probably from the kitchen, who tell you in an extremely unfriendly manner in which direction the exit is. That's pretty uncool when you know it will take at least half an hour to really clean everything up. Allowing yourself to drink in peace is part of good manners and the customs of a reputable restaurant. Conclusion: the treatment of guests and the food should be improved. The schnitzel is much better not far from the castle, so I would be happy to spend a euro more.

The Vogelbräu is located in the middle of the city center of Ettlingen. Nice beer garden good beer. Service is ok. The staff nice. Food varies depending on which chef is there. But good. Menu is typical home brewery. Choice is large. There is also fresh chicken You sit outside under large trees. Parking is rather difficult.

Four of us were there yesterday and were looking forward to a good beer at Vogelbräu after the castle festival. We ordered three yeast and a summer beer. Unfortunately yesterday's yeast beer tasted really smoky, like a mixture of yeast and smoky whiskey. I couldn't drink my beer and luckily my husband let me have his summer beer and we swapped. When we mentioned the strange taste at the front of the counter and later at the service, the only response we got was that no one had complained about it yet and that it tasted completely normal, even though all three of us looked at each other after the first sip and said so that it tastes totally smoky... Unfortunately, the table was also totally sticky and had some sauce stains.

Unfortunately the worst stay in a long time. Bad onion roast, ready gravy. You can fill up leftovers yourself at the table without cutlery. Luckily the beer was good. Service unfriendly. I know it differently too. Please work on quality and friendliness.

You call to reserve a table and are told on the phone that no reservations are accepted. But you should still be able to get a seat about an hour and a half before the game starts. I was there two hours earlier. Half of the places were free but reserved. You either accept reservations or you don’t. So you get ripped off and then have to quickly find something else to do in the evening.

Very large restaurant and the staff cannot cope with the number of guests during the day. I don't know what will happen in the evening when they open the second floor too. At the entrance to the restaurant it was written that there was asparagus soup on the menu, but it wasn't there. Drinks were ordered quickly, but to order food we had to look for a waiter for a long time. The next goal was to pay the bill - here too we had to wait a long time for a waiter. We drank, ate and left quickly.

A permanent institution in Ettlingen. On the occasion of my recent visit, I feel the need to give away 5 stars. In my opinion, the home-brewed beer is simply the best in the Karlsruhe area, the cheese spaetzle is damn tasty, and the service was really nice. There's not much going on in Vogelbräu, which is located in a former cinema, on this sunny Saturday afternoon. The beer garden is only half full, and inside, where we made a reservation, it is even emptier. A few people are watching muted sport on Sky. Nevertheless, the service (which is present in large numbers) is having a hard time finding us. The tone is Eastern European, matter-of-fact, and expands on the “unfiltered” motto on the crew shirts in a perhaps unintentionally ambiguous way. Since I still have to drive, I unfortunately can't test the unfiltered stuff and limit myself to Jever Fun ("we don't brew anything like that here," explains the waitress) on tap. For dinner I choose “veal sausages with fries” from the daily menu. What is then placed on the table is not hearty brewery cuisine, but rather the lowest level of snack food: the sausages are bland and barely browned, the tiny portion of mustard tasteless, the fries are almost at room temperature... and the guest at Vogelbräu Ettlingen can ask for mayonnaise or ketchup take care of yourself. Hunger drives it in. I'm surprised because the "Badische Latest Nachrichten" recommends all 3 Vogelbräu locations. Maybe the home-brewed beer is of some use... but given the excellent quality of other breweries in the region, I don't need to stop here again. Conclusion: Hopefully the service and kitchen were just having a bad day. In dem, in einem ehemaligen Kino angesiedelten, Vogelbräu ist an diesem sonnigen Samstagnachmittag nicht viel los. Der Biergarten ist nur halbvoll, und drinnen, wo wir reserviert haben, ist es noch leerer. Ein paar Menschen schauen sich stummgeschalteten Sport auf Sky an. Dennoch tut sich der (zahlreich anwesende) Service schwer, uns zu finden. Der Ton ist osteuropäisch-sachlich, und erweitert das Motto "unfiltriert" auf den Crew-Shirts auf - möglicherweise unfreiwillig doppeldeutige - Weise. Da ich noch fahren muss, kann ich das Unfiltierte leider nicht testen, und beschränke mich auf Jever Fun ("so etwas brauen wir hier nicht" erläutert die Servicekraft) vom Fass. Zum Essen wähle ich "Kalbswürste mit Pommes" von der Tagestafel. Was dann auf dem Tisch abgestellt wird, ist keine deftige Brauhausküche, sondern unterstes Imbissniveau: die Würste fad und kaum gebräunt, die winzige Portion Senf geschmacksneutral, die Pommes haben nahezu Raumtemperatur... und um Mayonnaise oder Ketchup darf sich der Gast im Vogelbräu Ettlingen selbst kümmern. Der Hunger treibt es rein. Ich bin überrascht, empfehlen doch die "Badische Neueste Nachrichten" alle 3 Vogelbräu-Standorte. Vielleicht taugt das hausgebraute Bier ja etwas... aber angesichts der hervorragenden Qualität anderer Brauhäuser in der Region muss ich hier nicht noch einmal einkehren. I had a good beer with delicious food in a nice atmosphere. I wish they had a bit more healthy food options on the menu, but the salad with chicken strips was good and enough to fill you up. I will gladly come again.

Tolles Bier, tolle Location. Wir sind immer mal wieder hier und genießen vor allem das Bier. Aber auch das Essen ist gut. Einen Besuch können wir jedem empfehlen.

I have to say, the food was very tasty, the knuckle just the way I love it, with cabbage and dumplings and a nice sauce. The Mettbrötchen didn't remind me of my childhood and was tasty and definitely enough. All I can say about the ambience is that it's brilliant with the brewhouse and everything around it. As a former brewer, I immediately felt at home and the time we were there flew by. If I'm in the area I'll definitely be happy to stop there again and also enjoy the beer garden, which was unfortunately full when we were there because the weather was so bad. Something else to say about the service. So really good, I couldn't complain. When you called, someone came immediately and recorded everything.

I was so hungry, but aurora (the waitress) didn't even ask our table for food. After 1h! we finally were allowed to order....i expected a little bit better service

The Vogel Hausbräu in Ettlingen offers a small but definitely fine fixed menu that should actually offer something for every taste. This menu is supplemented by daily offers, weekly offers or special seasonal offers. The ambience is rustic, fits well with a restaurant of this type, but due to the acoustics of the building it can sometimes be a bit loud - it just depends on where you sit. The quality and quantity of the food on offer is absolutely top and the price is not exorbitant. The staff is friendly and takes great care of the guests. A reservation is definitely recommended, a spontaneous visit could fail at peak times due to lack of space.... When we stop here in Ettlingen on our trips to France, a visit to Vogel Hausbräu is actually a must!

We've just come from the live music morning pint, we're there almost every week, but what we experienced today is almost impossible to describe! Just want to comment on the music! I can't remember when you came to the Vogel at 12 o'clock with live music and there were still so many seats available!!! We sat upstairs because there were plenty of seats left! We left around 2 p.m. This has never happened before (music) I don't think there were 10 guests left upstairs! It's a shame we were looking forward to a nice end with friends!

Nice beer garden with fast service and delicious beer. Simple dishes, down-to-earth and good. A must after every MTB ride.

I go there regularly, the beer is really tasty, and the food is usually too, but there are also variations in quality. Recently a new menu, but only the prices are new, which are almost 30% higher than before. Whether these are inflation and sales tax effects? No idea. Unfortunately, the weekly menu is currently no longer available due to a lack of staff in the kitchen. Understandable but a shame. Service staff are always nice and quick. Despite the increased prices, I will remain loyal to the bird.

As always, it was very tasty and of the usual quality. When the weather is good, the beer garden is very crowded. A reservation is helpful.

We were particularly pleased that there was also children's schnitzel, which was very welcome for our little companions. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, and the in-house Vogelbräu Pils tasted great! We found the option of having the beer filled into siphons extremely practical and used it several times. We will definitely come back next time we are in Ettlingen.

We were in Ettlingen for the first time and decided on the Vogel Hausbräu Ettlingen on the first evening. We were actually really excited! If you appreciate home-brewed beer, you've come to the right place and there's always a variety to try. All in all, great beers of good quality. The food could be better, it doesn't quite match the expectations from the menu.

Every time I'm in Ettlingen, a visit to Vogel is a must! The beer (and also Radler) is very tasty, the food is tasty, generous portions, appropriate for the price. The service is attentive, quick and very nice. I'm always happy when I can come here.

Beer tastes good, you can safely forget the rest! We ordered rump steak with fries and cheese spaetzle from the daily menu, but all we got was the rump steak, which simply didn't deserve the name! Even the over-salted piece of bacon on top doesn't change anything! Don't expect something so dry and tough even in a hospital canteen! Even our 2.5 year old son refused the fries and that's saying something!

Gemütliche und urige Atmosphäre mit einem sehr leckeren selbsgebrauten Bier. Empfehlenswert ist das Schnitzel in Biersoße mit Pommes. Sowohl positiv als auch negativ zu bewerten ist, dass es gefühlt immer voll ist. Zu bestimmten Zeiten ist es ohne Reservierung schwierig einen Platz zu ergattern. Und an "Fußballtagen" ist es doch recht laut und ausgelassen. Dafür herrscht(e bislang) aber immer gute Stimmung.

My wife and I ordered some food tonight (Take away pick up)wow what a huge waste of money.. the schnitzel was way over cooked ( deep fryer) and looked like it had been prepared well in advance.. I have never eaten A schnitzel so bad in my life.. Badlischer Hof has better Schnitzel's and that's saying something. Because even they are not that good. My advice to everyone reading this is to check your food before you leave. Because like us we saw it when we got home and we couldn't go back.
