A top-class Asian restaurant 🚀🚀🚀 I rarely give this place three stars, but it deserves it, not just for the delicious food but also for its exceptional friendliness, which wasn't fake. I was able to enjoy the last of the summer at a table for two outside. Also, the location in the center, just a few steps from the parking lot, is great. So, completely satisfied 😀👍

We reserved a table for a large group (9 people). The reservation was easy, and our table was available immediately. The service was very friendly and very quick. Everyone enjoyed the food, from the appetizer to the main course and dessert. The sushi platter for two was plentiful and well worth the price. We'd love to come back when we're in Ettlingen!

Some (few) dishes are labeled vegan on the menu. However, these dishes contain the allergens milk and fish. When asked, they said the dishes weren't vegan, even though they had the vegan symbol (two leaves) behind them. They offered to make the vegetarian sushi vegan and omit the mayonnaise. Unfortunately, the dish ended up with a white liquid, which was probably cream cheese. Unfortunately, I had the feeling the staff didn't know what vegan meant, and the menu also contained incorrect information...

It's a relatively good price, and it was still delicious—almost a secret tip of mine. The ambiance isn't the best, but if you want to spend some quality time with friends and family, it's definitely worth a visit.

THE SECRET TIP FOR AUTHENTIC, GOOD ASIAN FOOD! Moon Kitchen opened here in Ettlingen not too long ago; previously, it was a dingy snack bar. What the owners have done with this place borders on magic: where you'd previously only go to satisfy a quick hunger, you can now enjoy a wonderful lunch and dinner. We were here around 6 p.m., and the dishes shown in the picture are No. 28 and No. 19. The second picture shows the baked pineapple. All the dishes tasted excellent, so we're already looking forward to our next meal here! The only drawback: Unfortunately, wheelchair access is not possible or difficult, as there are stairs in front of the restaurant.

Moon Kitchen Ettlingen Moon Kitchen is a Vietnamese Asian restaurant. It's located right in the heart of Ettlingen. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely top-notch, incredibly tasty. Of course, they also serve the perfect Asian Tiger beer. The restaurant is small but has a typically Asian feel, yet is still modern. There's also an outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant. Parking is available in the parking garage, which is just a two-minute walk away.

Lovingly prepared and a dream in its flavor – every bite was a little explosion in the mouth! We had sushi for three people. My husband had juicy fried rice with fresh ingredients and deliciously seasoned beef. We'll be back! Very friendly staff who love their work.

Delicious Vietnamese food, friendly service and a cozy, busy terrace. You can only pay in cash, but that is almost everywhere in Germany. On the tables outside were fans to chase away flies, so handy and effective that we are going to buy them ourselves!

Was there once, for lunch. Friendly and nice, the food came quickly, the chicken was very tender and overall it was well seasoned and tasty. There is a lunch menu with various dishes. Chopsticks and cutlery are served with the meal. Can definitely recommend.

Rarely eaten so well. Whether it's sushi, fried noodles, soup, etc. everything is very fresh and simply delicious. Even when it's delivered to your home, everything is still crisp and fresh.

The prices on the card and those charged do not match. In the end I paid €1 more than I actually thought (even though it was also to go, i.e. 7% instead of 19% VAT) In addition, there is no card payment at all, which was not mentioned when ordering by phone. Ordered without corn, received with corn. Otherwise the food was okay, nothing special.

I ordered a dish marked as vegan. When I received the food, I asked again whether it was vegan, which was answered in the affirmative. After a few bites I came across a piece of beef and brought it up. The answer I got was something like “yes, that happens in the kitchen sometimes.” On this occasion I also discussed how a dish labeled as vegan can also have fish and milk allergens. There was only a shrug of the shoulders. As an apology, they wanted to offer me something else to eat and generously pointed out that I didn't have to pay for the meal. Thank you very much for that.. your appetite was definitely gone and you can only advise every vegetarian and vegan person not to visit this restaurant.

Very tasty and lots of homemade things. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended and the menu has lots of pictures and good descriptions. The people are all very nice there and the music isn't too loud, so you can have a good conversation.

I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed - neither by the service, nor by the taste of the food, nor by the way it's prepared. The restaurant is quite small, but that's exactly what gives it a very special charm. It's also nice that the menu isn't overloaded. For me it is definitely one of my favorite spots to eat well.

It was our first time at Moon Kitchen and we were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. And the food... a dream! We tested various items on the menu and without exception everything was extremely tasty, fresh and aromatic. The prices are absolutely fair and the price-performance ratio is right. I can recommend Moon Kitchen to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

A reservation is strongly recommended. The bright, modern guest room is very cramped and very loud. The path to the toilet leads through the kitchen into the yard. Guests over 1.70 cm tall should watch their heads, as 2 steps make the door significantly lower than usual... The menu offers Asian fusion cuisine and sushi, main courses are between 13 and 17 euros. The service is friendly and efficient. I start with "Ha Cao (4 pieces of dumplings steamed with shrimps, with lime dressing)". We continue with “Curry Udon (Japanese udon noodles, curry coconut milk sauce, vegetables, salad, peanuts)” in the “Chicken Kross” variant. Both are delicious and perfectly prepared. Unfortunately we were disappointed there this evening. The food is now heavy on our stomachs. We only ate vegetarian food! No card payment possible.

The food was very mildly seasoned and not fresh, like sticky, the service was a disaster - complete language barrier - everyone smiled, that was enough to communicate, only cash payment and the bill had different dishes than what was ordered and again people smiled - without apology.

I can definitely recommend the restaurant! Super delicious food. The portion was mega. Had the lunch dish A1. Chicken, vegetables, salad with a lemongrass sauce I guess. There was also a chili in it, which made the food a little spicy, even though it didn't say anything about spicy on the board outside. Fortunately, I didn't care. Since we were the only ones at lunchtime, we were served quickly and friendly. Ambiance... Well, outside 😁

I can only be amazed at the reviews. The food is just mediocre. Without sauce, the pasta and salad were tasteless, only the duck was a bit different. The service is a disaster. The person at our table who arrived later wasn't asked what they wanted, a drink was forgotten and then the plates were held right in front of my face when they were cleared away.

Very tasty food! Please note that you are required to pay in cash at checkout. They have no alternative payment methods, which as far as I know are legally required (i.e. undeclared work). They also couldn't display appropriate CASH, which made the bill twice as painful.

I've probably been here 10 times - best (lunch) restaurant in Ettlingen. There is no better sushi in Ettlingen or Karlsruhe. Just carry on like this :-)

We've eaten here three times now. Every time was something different. To put it bluntly, the food is very tasty. The service, however, was a bit of a disaster. Our first time we got something different than what we ordered. It was laughed away and not compensated for in any way. We ate it because it was very tasty. Here we thought ok, it could happen. The second time the sauces were actually swapped again. Now we've taken a long break and thought let's try again. We ordered something to take away. If only we had taken a better look in the bag. When we got home we realized that we had received completely the wrong food. Something is definitely wrong here. We went back and exchanged it. Here too, despite the complaint, no insight or apology. It was laughed away again.

Yesterday we had No. Tried 3 (spring rolls) and 4 (vegetable dumplings) and 25 (curry coconut with vegetables and tofu). Unfortunately, the dumplings seemed very dry and not particularly fresh, and the curry was bland and tasteless. How you can get a curry to be so “tasteless” is inexplicable to us. Overall the meal was very disappointing. Sorry for the negative review...but that really wasn't good.

Great authentic restaurant with Vietnamese cuisine. Absolute insider tip in Ettlingen. Although very small, but still nice and lots of tables outside. The staff and service are excellent and friendly. The food is always freshly prepared, large portions and very tasty. I can also only recommend the homemade iced tea. We like to go here as a family or order home. Hopefully the Moonkitchen will stay with us in Ettlingen for a long time.

I'd like to recommand this restaurant for all people who are looking to eat something in Asian style. With friends we have ordered 3 different meals and they were server very quickly. Quality and taste was excellant, and threfore I invite all to this restaurant, which is very small but worth to eat here not spending too much money.

A very nice place for good Vietnamese food. Good ambiance, good portion and efficient service. We tried starter platter, soup based and noodle based dishes and all were good. Lot of Sushi options also available. No free parking available. I have reduced one star for the pathetic desert (just avoid) and for the fact that such a modern and big restaurant in modern times does not accept card (even EC or bank cards not accepted, forget about credit cards) payment that is something unbelievable. Carry hard cash with you.

“Moon Kitchen” in Ettlingen is a real highlight for all fans of Asian fusion! We have eaten here many times and each time the food has been a delight. The service is always top – friendly and attentive. We think the young, hip team is particularly cool, as they create a great atmosphere with their fresh style. Only the tofu could use a little more oomph, but that's just a minor blemish in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. “Moon Kitchen” is definitely worth a visit!

We were there on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. Reservation is worth it. The service was friendly and quick, the food was really, really tasty! Price wise completely okay. The only downside was the slightly sticky tables, which wasn't that tasty. But otherwise great, hence 4 stars.

The two of us ate at Moon Kitchen in Ettlingen today. We sat outside and had 6 spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce Nem Chay No. 3, and two soups Sup Sua Dua, No. 15. We also had the dish Sot Xoai No. 26 twice, which you can see here in our pictures sees. Once with chicken and once with crispy duck. To drink a still water and a mango spritzer. We were served friendly and the wait for the food wasn't long, about 15 minutes. We found the food very tasty and it stands out from other Asia, good quality of ingredients, freshly cooked. We'd love to come back for dinner. We enjoyed it very much.

The food is super tasty (both warm dishes and the sushi) and the staff is super friendly. The sushi is actually one of the best in the Karlsruhe area :) It's also really nice to sit, especially outside in Ettlingen's old town. I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone :)
