Vitali Restaurant in Gelsenkirchen

Köstlich, gehobene Preisklasse aber auch gerechtfertigt! Und ein Highlight: endlich mal ein Restaurant, bei dem es als Nachspeise nicht nur irgendwelche „Süßigkeiten“ sondern auch div. Käse gibt !

Fleisch von geringer Qualität und unter falscher Bezeichnung: Bestellt wurde aus der aktuellen Tageskarte ein „Iberoco-Kotelett“ mit Beilagen. Gekommen ist ein großes Schweinekotelett. Auf keinen Fall handelte es sich um ein Iberoco-Schwein-Kotelett. Dafür war es viel zu groß, mit dickem Fettrand und geschmacklos/wässerig! Bestenfalls war es ein Duroc- Schweinekotelett, vermutlich sogar ein normales Porky-Kotelett vom Maßen-Zuchtschwein. Ein Iberoco-Kotelett ist klein, weil das Tier klein ist, es hat intramuskuläres Fett, und keinen dicken Fettrand! Und es schmeckt nussig, intensiv und sehr saftig! Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen!

Der kleine Wintergarten ist sehr schön. Auch der Service ist gut. Leider ist das Essen nur Mittelmaß. Nichts Besonderes und geschmacklich allenfalls Durchschnitt. Da isst man von der Qualität anderswo deutlich besser. Also deutlich Luft nach oben.

Ein Abend, der uns wirklich fassungslos zurücklässt. Wir waren um 19:30 Uhr vor Ort (nachweisbar) und haben Getränke, eine Vorspeise und drei Hauptgerichte bestellt. Getränke und Vorspeise kamen schnell – danach passierte über eine Stunde: nichts. Kurz vor 21:00 Uhr habe ich freundlich nachgefragt, wie lange es noch dauert – wir hatten ein Kind dabei, das Hunger hatte. Was dann folgte, war an Unprofessionalität kaum zu überbieten: Der Chef kam persönlich an den Tisch und wurde laut – so laut, dass es der gesamte Gastraum mitbekommen hat. Seine Aussage sinngemäß: Wir hätten erst vor 45 Minuten bestellt und „wir wären hier nicht bei McDonald’s“. Ein derart respektloser und herablassender Umgang mit langjährigen Gästen ist schlicht inakzeptabel. Wir wollten daraufhin gehen und wenigstens bezahlen – auch hier wieder Lautstärke und die Aussage, wir müssten nicht zahlen und sollten „auch nicht wiederkommen“. Nach vielen Jahren als Stammgäste, auch mit der ganzen Familie an Feiertagen, ist das ein absoluter Tiefpunkt. So behandelt man keine Gäste. Extrem unangenehm, respektlos und enttäuschend auf ganzer Linie. Für uns endgültig erledigt.

Gemischter Salat mit Hähnchenbrust Filet prima. Preise am oberen Limit. Saubere sanitäre Anlage. Sehr schönes Ambiente und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Jedesmal ein Genuß! Februar 2023: 5 Sterne: Wieder alles top, sehr Leckere Speisen und Getränke. Vorspeisen prima, Pizza sehr lecker. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal und schnelle Zubereitung. Gerne wieder 👍 Januar 2023: 3 Sterne: Wohl einen sehr schlechten Abend erwischt:-( Essen außer Pizza lecker wie immer. Getränke top, ebenso Nachtisch. Beide Pizzen sehr mehliger Boden. Eine kam falsch, die andere als alle anderen zur Hälfte fertig waren. Drei von 11 Getränke kamen nach dreimaligem Nachfragen, wir hatten teilweise drei unterschiedliche Kellner. Personal nicht aufmerksam. No Go, daß bei allen abgeräumt wurde obwohl ein Gast noch am Essen war (die späte Pizza). Beim Abrechnen Restgeld eines der Gäste einfach vergessen (25 Euro sollten zurück). Halbe Pizza zum mitnehmen einpacken lassen, wurde wie Calzone zusammen geklappt (die späte Pizza). Oh je...... Juni 2022: 5 Sterne : Top Service. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Leckere und frisch zubereitete Gerichte. Wein super lecker. Schönes Ambiente. Preise am oberen Limit. Immer wieder gerne 👍

In Buer das alte "Haus Rohmann" mit dem heutigen Restaurant Vitali, da sollte man nicht einfach vorbeigehen, sondern eintreten. Der Service ist sehr nett und aufmerksam und was aus der Küche getragen wird, lässt keine Wünsche offen. Bei der gemütlichen Ambiente bleibt man auch gerne etwas länger und lässt den Abend mit einen Grappa & Co ausklingen.

A boss who has lost all respect for his guests! In this restaurant, the boss is in charge: The orders were taken by the boss that evening. The ladies were given priority! My husband was told by the boss that he would come back to take his order after the ladies had finished taking their orders. Unfortunately, he completely forgot about my husband and didn't come back. When the food was served, he asked my husband if he hadn't ordered anything. No, after all, he hadn't come back, and the drinks waitress wasn't allowed to take the food. (According to the boss, they were all too stupid for that.) That was enough to make the owner completely lose his temper! Words like "stupid guy" and so much stupidity were thrown around... He became insulting and rude several times. When we paid, he repeated the whole thing again! It's really bad when you can't apologize for your own shortcomings!

Beautiful ambiance and excellent service! Special thanks go to the kitchen, who, despite the menu offering no vegan and hardly any vegetarian dishes, got creative for the vegans in our group and prepared both a vegan main course and dessert! That's service, grazie :)

We were there for the first time in early June 2025. The food was excellent. The service and ambiance were good. The over 200-year-old building in the heart of the city, the conservatory, and the outdoor area were very beautiful and exuded a lovely country-house atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. The portions could have been a bit larger. We'll be back!

Food was good. You have to get used to the taste a bit. This is Sardinian cuisine. Works with different herbs and different preparation than one is used to in Germany. Otherwise everything was great. Beautiful winter garden and top service.

The starters were very tasty and plentiful. The side dishes for the main courses could be more and the cooking level could still be improved upon during our visit. Otherwise a nice selection of dishes on the menu.

Garantiert eines der kulinarischenHighlights in Gelsenkirchen und garantiert auch im Weit des Ruhrgebiets. Gemütliche Atmosphäre in historischem Gebäude, neben dem urigen Schank-/Speiseraum sowie einem weiteren Speiseraum mit gemütlicher Holzbank gibt es einen modernen Anbau den Wintergarten. Stets freundliches Personal. Neben umfangreicherSpeisenauswahl gibt es immer noch eine Tageskarte (grosse Tafel) die zur Auswahl an den Tisch gestellt wird. Gericht ob Vorspeise, Hauptgang oder Dessert immer lecker, einfach empfehlenswert. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu einem gemütlichen Abend vorbei.

Lovely setting with great staff at a reasonable price. Good Italian food. I had the pizza and it's one of the nicer pizzas in the area, for me it could have a little more crispy base, my friends had the pasta and really enjoyed it. Overall a lovely setting and very nice staff. I would definitely come back again.

Wir waren heute unter Freundinnen zusammen im Vitali essen. Das essen war korrekt, allerdings nicht herausragend gut. Der Service hat leider seit dem letzten Mal nachgelassen, weil wir nach der Spezialitäten-Karte proaktiv fragen mussten. Die bestellte Hauptspeise war dann recht schnell da und der Wein kam ein paar Minuten später. Im Nachhinein bin ich enttäuscht und hatte so ein wenig die Wertschätzung für den Kunden vermisst.

Ein kulinarisches Highlight im Ruhrgebiet. Traditionelles Gasthaus in historischem Gebäude mit modernem Anbau. Schöner Außenbereich/Biergarten. Exzellente Küche, sehr guter Service. Relation Preis/Leistung absolut ok.

War das zweite Mal im Vitali. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wirkt aber auch ein wenig unsicher, was sich aber nicht auf die Qualität der Bedienung negativ auswirkt. Der Chef wirkt ein bisschen gestresst, wenn er aber bedient, ist er freundlich. Als Vorspeise hatte ich das Carpaccio do Tonne gewählt. Es war sehr gut, mit einem leichten Geschmack nach Zitrone und die Kapern rundeten das Ganze vollkommen ab. Als Haupgang hatte ich die Dorade vom Grill. Sie war gebraten, nicht vom Grill, schmeckte aber sehr gut. Die Beilagen, Gemüse und Kartoffeln hätten für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Biss haben können. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank für das gute Abendessen.

Vert good Italia restaurant in Gelsenkirchen downtown. The food is really good from the antipasti to the desert. The waiters are very kind but the service is a bit long. It seems to be the favourite place of Shalke 04 players, if you are lucky you can meet them. I recommend 👍🏼

Ich treffe mich mit einem Freund einmal im Quartal zum Mittagessen- seit ca. 7 Jahren, wir waren jedesmal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente, hier kann man mal herrlich abschalten und genießen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Das Essen war sehr lecker wir hatten 2 verschiedene Pastas als Vorspeise, capacio un bruschetta. Die Peise sind etwas höher aber Qualität der Speisen sind auch dementsprechend. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam. Ich glaube es war nicht unser letzter Besuch im Vitali.

Ottimo ristorante dove non ci sente affatto i Germania. La qualità dei prodotti e la cucina sono paragonabili ai migliori ristoranti italiani. Un'insalata caprese con mozzarella di Bufala veramente ottima, così come la tagliata al Montepulciano. Bravi veramente

We visited this restaurant on our first night in Recklinghousen which is close to Gelsenkirchen, and we have recommandation for Vitali. The food is solid and partly very good but we waited too long on first order of a drink and food. After we finally ordered it, we waited again. We came later after 21.00 and the restaurant is not full, so I think that is not a reason to have mistake like this.

Went here was a pax of 9 and we shared some antipasti and had each a main course + drinks for 340 euro which is fair Food is nice but main courses did not arrive at the same time which was a bit of a mess Ok setting, waiters are a bit stressed and ordering drinks can take some time They are rather busy so recommend to book Would use again

Struggled to converse in English, which is fairly understandable, however menus in English. Minestrone soup as a starter with Grouper and prawns with a side salad for main. Very good. Cheese board was disappointing. Service good and with a smile. I'd return.

Great service! So already you know this is a great night out. We had the antipasti with pulpe for the first course. For the main I had beef filet (cooked medium) with green pepper sauce. Delicious. My companions had inerico park and tagliatta. Also delicious. The 2010 Brunello for accompaniment was perfect.

This listed building with exposed beams and a large conservatory was a great find. This is an Italian restaurant with a difference - apart from the usual dishes which you expect to find there was a large selection of game. I went with a friend for Sunday lunch: her calves liver with fried onions and apples was voted a great success. I was delighted with wild boar steaks in a rich sauce, served with lentils and filled gnocchi. The service was friendly and efficient, the welome was friendly. We hadn't booked a table (next time we'll plan ahead) but they found us a small table in the conservatory. There was a fixed menu for less than 20 Euro. Our bill with two proseccos, a bottle of water and 2 coffees was 55 Euro. The portions are very generous and as a result we did not manage to sample the desserts (they did look tempting). The menu was varied, it was difficult to decide what to have - and every dish that was taken to other tables looked tempting. As a tribute to the game season there were a number of pasta dishes with game rather than mince. We would go back anytime, it was a lovely place for a leisurely lunch. We did no notice a reserved parking area but there is plenty of street parking close by.

Delicious pasta and always have fresh fish. I recommend to try one of the several italian wine options.
