VIS-À-VIS in Trier

Contrary to other reviews, I would specifically like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. We have rarely received such friendly service and we were here on two evenings. The draft beer is recommended and the price is also completely reasonable. The cheese plate, actually for one person, is plentiful and we were able to eat it as a couple. The view directly onto the Porta Nigra is fantastic and you can easily listen in at concerts. ;)

Nice restaurant at Hotel Mercure Porta Nigra, service is very friendly and the food is simply delicious. Tasty wines also available.

An excellent restaurant with terrace, located just opposite Porta Nigra, within the Mercure hotel. We enjoyed ourselves even if the prices were a little high. We can understand it with a framework like this! Very pleasant service 👍 be careful the kitchens close at 9 p.m.

We came here to have coffee on June 26th, when we went to the first table next to the door without having our masks on, the waitress called us "MASK" in an incredibly unfriendly manner, in a tone as if she was telling us the word vomited feet. We didn't receive any sugar with our coffee, but we received a blank look and a particularly loud "THANK YOU" when we left the bar without leaving a tip. But why? Absolutely awful.

Excellent meal directly opposite the Porta Nigra. We actually eat here every time we visit Trier and enjoy the house wine from a nearby winery. For this reason we give you a full five stars.
