Coyote Cafe Trier in Trier

I've been here for an hour and haven't been able to place an order. Even after others pointed it out, I was ignored. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this service.

We went to Coyote for a drink. We were only served after asking. Despite requesting it, the raspberry-elderflower lemonade wasn't available without ice. When it arrived, it was three-quarters ice and only one-quarter lemonade. After complaining, they removed the ice and diluted it with food. Very poor service for the price :(

Watered-down Viez, the buffalo wings were just wings with a horrible way-too-vinegary-spicy sauce. Really disappointing. Too bad, because the staff is super nice and professional, so maybe coming here for a beer or a cocktail is ok, but def not for the food (or the Viez).

The Sunday breakfast buffet had a wide selection. What I particularly liked was that the omelets were freshly prepared to order and the waffles were freshly baked. The price-performance ratio was excellent. The young man who served our table was very attentive and friendly.

The service was completely overwhelmed. On Saturday, October 25th.

I visited the Coyote Café in Trier a few weeks ago. We were there with a larger group (8 people), and I decided to have the vegan bowl. It was very tasty and a very large portion, which was really filling. As for the service, the waitresses were very friendly, but we often had to wait quite a while for our orders (drinks), and empty glasses and used plates were only taken away after I asked. The ambiance was okay, but unfortunately, it was very noisy, not only because there were a lot of people there, but also because the TV and music were playing in the background. We deliberately chose a seat a bit away from the action, so we could still have a good conversation there. However, it should be noted that in the corner where we were sitting, there were a lot of spiders and cobwebs on the wall and ceiling, as well as several small fruit flies, which would have been more of a problem, as the plates and empty glasses had been sitting on our table for a while, as mentioned above. Personally, I'm relatively pain-free when it comes to this sort of thing, but I do think it does affect the ambiance. I would still go back anytime, as I felt very comfortable overall.

We were here with family and friends and had a lovely evening. The cocktails and shots were delicious, the steak was cooked as requested, and the waitress was really great!

I have a severe gluten and dairy allergy. Had a separate fryer for fries so I was able to have them. The first time we came, we had a great experience. The second time, awful. Wouldn’t even listen to me try to communicate my needs. Suddenly didn’t have a separate fryer anymore? Left hungry.

The food was delicious, and so were the drinks. The tortillas were slow. What are the fish doing here? The music was good.

On August 16, 2025, I was at Coyote Café with some friends for a drink in the evening. When we arrived, a portly waitress, I think her name was Cornelia or Corinna, said she wouldn't serve us because she considered us little children. We were all over 18, and she still told one of my friends that she didn't want to serve us because she considered us all children, even though we were also sitting in her area and she should have served us, since no one else was serving in that area except her. This woman was absolutely rude. We waited at least 15 minutes for someone to come, and she kept deliberately walking past our table and ignoring us. In the end, a nice waitress named Vanessa served us. In contrast to her colleague, she was very friendly and took good care of us.

We had a very positive experience there. The service was fast, very friendly, and they frequently asked if everything was to our satisfaction. The cocktails were heavenly 😊 They even have a happy hour. I've had the nachos several times because they taste so good. I can only recommend this place.

We sat outside, where the ambiance was quite okay. A few more green plants would have made for a more comfortable atmosphere. The service was friendly, nothing to complain about there. However, we unfortunately didn't enjoy some of the food. The chili con carne looked and smelled like cat food, very spicy but not tasty. No bread was served with it. The other dishes weren't particularly tasty but were satisfactory, although the portion sizes were very "limited" for the price. All in all, we wouldn't eat there again.

A nice place in a good location. We found our Mexican food lacking in flavor; it was good, but a bit more spice would have been nice. Cocktails are tasty and only cost €5 between 5 and 7, though they didn't contain much alcohol.

Unfortunately, the service was not good. The Caipirinha was passed off as a Moscow Mule. When asked, the waitress claimed that the Moscow Mule didn't contain cucumber. The waitress didn't respond to calls or gestures. We left disappointed.

One star for service is already too much. We weren't served for ages, and when we were, the waitress was very unfriendly. If the necessary ingredients aren't available, you shouldn't present an improvised version, but rather honestly state that the desired drink/dish is out of stock. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't particularly great either. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Had a wonderful afternoon at Coyote! The Mexican schnitzel was really the best schnitzel I have ever eaten. Cocktails were also mega tasty. We enjoyed more than 3 hours on the (quiet) terrace.

5 stars for Ms. Kübra for Saturday evening. Super friendly, funny, and contributed to the good atmosphere. Thank you 🥰

We were at your place today for lunch and unfortunately have to say that neither the food nor the cocktails were edible. We also noticed at home that we were charged €17 for a Fanta and a still water. The mac 'n' cheese was pasta with a herb sauce—something I couldn't quite define. The starter combo was cold and the potatoes were beyond floury. We had to return the Long Island Ice Tea once because it was missing the Coke; the second time it wasn't, and this time it tasted like lime puree, as if the cocktail hadn't been freshly made. The only positive thing was the shady spot outside.

In a very pleasant atmosphere, we discussed our wishes with the staff, which were then implemented to our complete satisfaction. The food we ordered even exceeded our expectations... on our first visit here.

Excellent service today from Kübra – we've been here many times before, but nothing compares to today's service. Top notch!

The service was very friendly and the food was great and with the weather we could sit outside, really recommended because it was not expensive. And inside there was a cozy atmosphere (for when it gets cold)

We were here for breakfast today. We had made a reservation and asked for the table to be decorated for a birthday, which they agreed to. Unfortunately, the decorations were very lackluster and included Christmas napkins. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, and our little dog was even taken care of (with a water bowl and treats). We were there in the evening this time. Fast service. The food was amazing. The price/performance ratio is excellent. We were here for breakfast today. Thanks to Manuel for recommending the waffles. It was 100% worth it.

Apparently, they don't want to serve anyone here, or even generate any kind of revenue. You're ignored, even though the Coyote is completely empty except for a few tables. What a shame.

Coyote! It's coziness, ambiance, friendliness, experience, delicious drinks, everything that defines Coyote... doesn't apply to Trier!!! The staff's ignorance is unbelievable! We had to wait 10 minutes for a table! And Coyote was almost completely empty!!! The kitchen was closed, which wasn't a problem! So we ordered burgers (small burgers, no menus) and quickly gorged ourselves! Admittedly, that's not really appropriate! But we were participating in a company run, and the kitchen at Coyote was closed! A physically strong blonde personality came to the table and immediately threatened to throw us out! As I said, we had committed a misconduct! But instead of a threat, a warning or a request to refrain from consuming foreign food would have been more appropriate for customer loyalty reasons!!! After begging several times, we were able to order drinks, which we had to do ourselves at the front counter! Two drinks arrived after 10 minutes, and three more after another 15 minutes! The cocktails were also watered down! I'm used to something completely different from other branches! After that, we were only served by a young man because apparently the blonde lady (perhaps the team leader?) felt she was too highly paid for us! Overall, though, he was friendly and helpful! In summary, the Coyote was an absolute disgrace from 11:15 PM to 12:47 AM! The place had an occupancy of maybe 15%, but the staff were ignorant, and you had to beg for a seat and a drink! A single server could have easily handled this operation on their own! What do they actually do when the place is full??? A word about the blonde server! Politeness and empathy should be paramount in their profession! Ignorance, arrogance, and striking a fundamentally wrong tone with guests is counterproductive and completely out of place! They should retrain at other branches! They don't work in a way that's as damaging to business as you do!!! If they can't take this to heart, then they've clearly chosen the wrong profession! And always remember: YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR GUEST'S JOB OR POSITION IS! ;) Especially when an event like the Trier Corporate Run is taking place!!!

We had a lovely girls' night at Coyote. With good food and drinks, we sat there for a really long time. The time flew by. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. You could literally sit there for hours. Our waitress was also super friendly. I highly recommend ordering the Mexican while you're there.

Essen war nicht gut. Salat matschig. Bedienung freundlich. Die Toiletten sind grenzwertig. Es stinkt schon auf der Treppe so widerlich nach Urin, Ich hoffe die Küche sieht nicht genauso schmutzig und ekelig aus. Die Tische waren leider auch alles andere als sauber. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen !!!!!!!!!!

We were there spontaneously. Even though it was busy, we were approached immediately and offered a place. The food was great. The service was friendly and particularly attentive to the youngest guest, which always makes us very happy. We can only recommend this location.

Als wir kurz für die Tür zum rauchen wollten wurden wir aufgehalten und man hat versucht meinen Personalausweis einzubehalten. Wir könnten ja weglaufen ohne zu bezahlen sagte man uns. Personal unfreundlich. Cocktails schlecht. Essen kann ich nicht bewerten da wir nach den Vorfällen drauf verzichtet haben.

Good evening After I asked the waiter (he and she) which portions were quite generous, I ordered the BBQ sampler, spare ribs and wings with fries, which I got shortly afterwards. Lots of fries, but the ribs and wings left a lot to be desired (2 pieces each). There was hardly any meat on the ribs and they were very small. The BBQ sauce was good, but the wings were okay

Not really good. Everytime we go for the Salsa Days, they play something else instead of really Salsa. Not really freindly DJ's indeed.

Reply to your answer: Then read the reviews here, dear Coyote team. Then you will quickly realize that you have to revise your statement that your food has never been criticized. What exactly was wrong with us the last few times? The quality of the food hasn't been good the last few times. Such as E.g. frozen schnitzel was hard, fries were wobbly, salad was soggy because it had been in the sauce for too long before it was served, etc. Yes, we complained about that with the staff. If you forwarded it, it would then be commented on. We have been guests here several times. Unfortunately, eating is not recommended. Unfortunately the quality doesn't match. Cocktails are quite good. Staff are mostly friendly and attentive. Ambiance is also quite ok. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio in relation to the food doesn't match. The food was definitely better back then.

An institution in Trier for over 20 years and well run under the good leadership of its managing director. The quality of the food but above all the friendliness of the staff are worth highlighting.

Ordered breakfast from the buffet. Unfortunately, like last time, we were faced with empty bowls and plates again. It is never refilled in a timely manner. The food tastes good, rich, varied selection. However, I think almost 7 euros for a 0.7 liter bottle of sparkling water is quite steep. And a large coffee for almost 5 euros is really a lot of money. The freshly baked waffles are great, really a poem.

Service great. Kübra is great, always very accommodating and super fast. Knew straight away what we wanted. She helped me a lot and was able to give me great advice on my requests. Very good when she was there. 😍 was always happy with the cocktails

On the recommendation of the waitress, I took the smash burger version instead of the classic cheese burger. SUPER DELICIOUS! The burger is currently supposed to be a temporary promotional product, please add the smash burger to the normal menu! Super tasty, juicy, crispy, everything you want from a burger! Boss, if you see this, add the smash burger to the menu forever!

Last night, worst dining experience of my life! The squid was bathed in oil and served on microwave-heated nachos! Beef and chicken fajitas, inedible, nothing was fresh even the salad had changed color! BBQ Ribs overcooked and there was more BBQ sauce than ribs on the plate. The little we ate made us sick instantly!! I will never set foot there again and would never recommend this “restaurant” to anyone!

We went to the Coyote Café Trier for the first time in August 2022 and found the ambience to be very harmonious. Last night we were there for the second time. The predominantly Mexican dishes are tasty and served in an attractive arrangement. The prices are ok for today's times, or quite fair. In addition to the ambience and good cuisine, the feel-good factor also includes good service, which we were able to enjoy both times thanks to the very friendly employee Kübra. Many thanks to you Kübra, you make your stay at the Coyote a harmonious experience! We would love to come back and hope to be able to meet you again. “All good things come in threes!”

I ordered the Big Buffalo Wings Combo. These were supposed to be crispy, but unfortunately they weren't. In addition, some of the wings were still raw inside. I saw the blood running out of the chicken. The Mexican food is quite okay. But still we won't come back. The prices are also very high which cannot be justified.

Great discovery. Warm welcome, smiling waitresses concerned about our well-being. The cocktails were very good, the dishes copious and delicious prepared with fresh produce. We will return without any hesitation!

Wir sind eher zufällig ins Coyote Café gegangen, da wir schon einige Stunden bei nasskalter Witterung an verschiedenen Spots des Weihnachtsmarkts unterwegs waren und nun gemütlich im Warmen etwas essen und trinken wollten. Südamerikanisches Flair, leckere Fajita, Nachos, Twister, gegrillte Calamari, Avocado Sticks und Bierchen bei bester südamerikanischer Musik. Und das Beste: Live Tanzen auf dem Holzpodest. Und wirklich, Jung und Alt auf der Tanzfläche. Mit den Bestellungen dauerte es etwas länger - kein Wunder bei dem Andrang. Kurzum - mega geiler Laden!! 🙌🏻 Wenn ich wieder in Trier bin, wird das Coyote Café meine erste Anlaufstelle sein 😉

This is a lovely café with a relaxed vibe and a great happy hour deal for cocktails, definitely worth it. The drinks are well-made, and the staff are friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. A great spot to unwind and enjoy good drinks at a reasonable price.

We happened to go to the Coyote Café because we had already been out and about at various spots at the Christmas market for a few hours in cold, wet weather and wanted to eat and drink something in the warmth. South American flair, delicious fajita, nachos, twisters, grilled calamari, avocado sticks and beers with the best South American music. And best of all: live dancing on the wooden platform. And really, young and old on the dance floor. The orders took a little longer - no wonder given the rush. In short - super cool shop!! 🙌🏻 When I'm back in Trier, the Coyote Café will be my first stop 😉

So far ok, ambience ok, food was good too. The biggest problem was the cleanliness of the men's toilet area. At the back of the last urinal, the inside of the window is full of cobwebs 🕸️ 🕷️, and not since yesterday, that's not possible 🫣🫣, unfortunately I didn't have my smartphone 📱 to hand, otherwise I would have documented it...

We've been there several times for the breakfast buffet and once for the Mexican fiesta. Both were very tasty with a great selection (I would like the Mexican soup to always be on the menu) and really nice service staff. We will definitely come back.

repas du soir lors de notre périple des marchés de Noël, pour changer un peu du typique germanique de saison nous avons décidé de souper dans cet établissement qui se trouve vraiment à l'écart de la place du marché de noël!; nous avions réservé, accueil dans de très bonnes conditions, le personnel ne parle que l'allemand, quand nous sommes venus à Trèves la première fois en 1997 plus de personnes parlaient français! nous avons su malgré tout nous faire comprendre. repas mexicain ou tex-mex bien sur, très copieux et de très bonne qualité un régal toujours avec une bière locale...

The food was good, but the service was... very rarely came to the table and we had to wait a long time to be able to order anything. I'm not convinced. In Luxembourg the service is 100 times better at Coyote.
