Very, very tasty! We eat here often and it's always been very good. The staff is very friendly and you feel very comfortable. I love eating here and keep coming back.

There were eight of us, and we received very good and friendly service. Everyone was thrilled with the delicious food. The star pizza was fantastic. I've never eaten such a good pizza in my life. Very tasty and highly recommended. Prices are reasonable. In fact, they're relatively low.

Es ist heutzutage nicht unüblich, dass man getrennt zahlt, dass man den letzten Zahlenden dann aber sofort anmotzt, wenn eine Position übrig ist, das geht nicht. Man könnte doch wirklich auch sagen, „mein Herr, schauen Sie mal, hier gibt es noch einen offenen Posten, können Sie das übernehmen und das in der Gruppe klären?“ Anscheinend hat es dieses Gasthaus nicht nötig.

We discovered this restaurant through a family celebration. We weren't familiar with it beforehand, but based on our impressions, we can only recommend it. We've rarely tasted such good and delicious Italian cuisine. The cold seafood platter, "Degustazione di Mare," is especially delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was really TOP!!! Ultra mega delicious!! Food with a lot of love down to the last detail! 5⭐️ for the kitchen!!!! Unfortunately, the ambience couldn't quite keep up: the room seemed rather cold and uncomfortable to us. The furnishings are certainly a matter of taste - a mix of modern style with old-fashioned elements, which didn't seem entirely harmonious to us. When we arrived we didn't feel particularly warmly welcomed, which was a shame - first impressions often count for a lot. Nevertheless, we would like to positively emphasize that our waiter was very friendly and attentive and served us well. Overall: food great, atmosphere could be improved

The pizza is simply delicious – exactly as it should be! The dough is super fluffy and easy to digest. The ingredients are fresh and the prices are fair, especially by Swiss standards. It's worth making a reservation on the weekend, but I can't judge it during the week. If there is an event going on in the back of the hall, the service sometimes takes a little longer, but overall everything is okay. The tiramisu is a real highlight - served in an original way in a mocha. The espresso is also very fine and typically Italian. We'll be happy to come back - you can now also reserve online, which we think is great!

Food good, service lousy! We had reserved a table for 5 people at 2 p.m. When we arrived the table wasn't set up and the cellar was at a loss because he didn't have a suitable table. After we found a seat in the back corner, it took 30 minutes for the order to be taken. Drinks and food all at once, so we had to wait over 30 minutes for the drinks. The starter arrived about 35 minutes AFTER the order was placed - a total of over an hour after arrival. My main course tasted great, but unfortunately it was only lukewarm. The rest of the food was also good, but was only served in stages from one cellar while colleagues at the other end joked around. If there is nothing to do - ok, but not like that! Overall, we were very disappointed with the service and either Italian or English was spoken. Only one waiter could speak German properly, which also led to missing orders. I definitely expected better service. And last but not least - it is terribly loud in the large room at the back. No sound-absorbing elements on the walls or ceilings.

Das Essen im Villa Martino ist wirklich hervorragend – die Zutaten sind frisch, die Gerichte authentisch und besonders die Pizza ist ein Genuss. Geschmacklich gibt es nichts auszusetzen! Leider konnte der Service nicht ganz überzeugen. Das Personal wirkte arrogant und wenig aufmerksam, was das gesamte Erlebnis etwas getrübt hat. Schade, denn das Restaurant hätte das Potenzial, ein echter Favorit zu werden. Vielleicht geben wir ihm dennoch irgendwann eine zweite Chance.

I made a reservation on February 1st, 2025 at 4:29 p.m. for February 14th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for 4 people. On February 9th, 2025 at 8:03 p.m. one of your employees simply canceled my appointment and gave it to someone else. I think that's a disgrace. That's not how you treat your guests.

This is our most favourite restaurant in Waldshut since a couple of years. We ha e never been disappointed.

We celebrated my parents' golden wedding anniversary at Villa Martino. There were 42 of us and everyone was very satisfied. We received an incredibly warm welcome and the service and food were TOP. The staff is very knowledgeable and really fantastic. Thanks to Benjamin, Adi and the whole team for their tireless efforts and of course thanks to the owner for the great celebration we were able to hold there. Grazie di heart per tutto.

Attentive and friendly staff. Clean, clear and also clean toilets. Medium-sized, tidy menu. Impeccable food at a beautiful table setting. Unfortunately (..) pizza wasn't as hot as usual. But this is individual and depends on the pizzaiolo. Everything else, including the limoncello on top.

As always, I come often and yesterday I was not disappointed, the pizza is perfect, the atmosphere is warm! What impressed me the most is the very warm and correct service, in particular I was lucky enough to be served by Adi, a very special and very kind guy, where it is easy to see that he does his job with passion and heart!! Never ever, here the guest is asked to find a solution to the problem in order to solve a table reservation that they missed. The boss himself is standing at the table where you were seated and complaining to you that he now has a problem because other guests (who have also made reservations) now have no room and are offended!!! At the same time, you still have to prove that you have made a reservation at all. In my opinion, in such a case the boss tries to find a solution on his own and does not involve the guests, who already have the ordered food in front of them in the meantime. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant, let alone eat there again.

After last time I was very satisfied with the quality and service, this time both were disappointing. It started with the fact that I couldn't make a reservation by phone, no one answered, so I had to walk and make a reservation. When we arrived we were initially ignored, the reserved table was not found, so we were able to sit down somewhere in the next room. The pizza crust was very good, but the pizza itself was only sparsely covered. When asked if everything was okay, we said no and were about to start explaining when the waiter cleared away with a murmur of agreement and disappeared. When paying, we noticed that most of the other guests also got a limoncello. We didn't, even though the two of us paid over 70 euros and even gave a decent tip, which really annoyed me afterwards.

On my pizza with grilled eggplant there were only 3 very small pieces of vegetables and a lot of chewy cheese. Almost all the other guests received a limoncello at the end, but we didn't. No idea why. The whole thing wasn't worth the price.

Unfortunately not what we expected I recently dined at Villa Martino with my family and I have to say the restaurant left a mixed impression. The atmosphere is really nice and the restaurant was very clean, which is definitely a positive. However, we had great difficulties when ordering. It seems like you have to speak either Italian or Albanian to communicate properly. This made it very difficult for us to ask questions about the courts. I chose the bruschetta and specifically asked if you could choose the ingredients, as there were various options on the menu. Unfortunately, a variant with ham and salami came that I didn't want at all. In addition, the bread was hard and seemed old - something that is disappointing given the price range and the chic presentation of the restaurant. However, a big compliment to the tagliatelle with mushrooms, they were really delicious and saved the culinary experience. Unfortunately, we didn't ask during the meal whether everything was OK or whether we would like something to drink. In the end we waited over half an hour for the bill, which made the overall impression even worse. In total we paid €82 for two people including a starter, main course, dessert and a drink each. However, given the price, we would have expected better service and more care with the dishes.
