The Pizzeria Moderna in Tiengen is absolutely worth a visit. Here, you can enjoy authentic Italian food in a friendly, family-friendly atmosphere, with wonderful service. For me, Pizzeria Moderna is my first stop when I'm in the area!

We brought pizzas home. The dough was very rubbery, and the pizza sauce had a rather bland flavor. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. And at €44.50 for three pizzas, it was far too expensive.

The service was really nice. The restaurant is located on a busy street, but it hardly bothered anyone. There were four of us there, and we were all very disappointed. My neighbors at the other tables also shared their opinion of the food. Well, if you order something with shrimp or frutti di mare and it tastes ONLY like water, well, hats off to you. I also had a "minestrone" beforehand, if you can call it that. Watery tomato broth without salt or pepper is probably more accurate. It's sad when you're there for so long and then deliver like that. I'd only heard good things up until then and was very disappointed.

The cooking here is done with passion, and you can taste it in every bite. Whether it's tagliatelle or ravioli, panna cotta or tiramisu, it's all homemade with lots of love. The Pinot Grigio was delicious, the espresso excellent...and last but not least, the service was delightful—and they take great pride in their dishes. And rightly so!

Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to eat anything there. We wanted to sit down, enjoy a coffee, and maybe a small meal. However, we were rudely turned away with the words: "Food only."

We chose this restaurant based on reviews because our favorite Italian restaurant next door was closed. Absolutely not authentic Italian food. The lasagna and pasta were both bland and poorly cooked. Insects kept flying into our food, which made it very unpleasant. The service was friendly.

Excellent risotto and pasta; you can tell it's homemade. Excellent service, friendly, courteous, and professional. The decor is modern, open, and pleasant. An Italian experience I haven't had in Germany or Switzerland in a long time. I'd happily return.

Ate very delicious pizza and got a dessert on the house

The food was below average. The Bolognese could have been bettered by any amateur cook, there was no salt in the pasta, and the pasta was completely overcooked. They mixed water in carafes (sparkling and plain, probably by mistake). The aperitif had mosquitoes in it. The service was poorly informed and couldn't answer a single question. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Wir sind nur 3-4 mal im Jahr dort… Wunderbares Ambiente, herzlicher Service – absolut empfehlenswert! Im Restaurant ist es optimal – ruhig und angenehm, trotz hoch frequentiert. Man fühlt sich auf Anhieb wohl. Die Bedienung ist ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass sich das Personal bei der Bestellung Zeit nimmt und keinerlei Hektik oder Ungeduld zeigt – ein Unterschied zu vielen anderen Gaststätten. Unser Besuch war spontan - wir wollten zum Geburtstag unseres Kindes Essen gehen, ohne Reservierung. Gegen Ende unseres Aufenthalts bemerkte einer der Mitarbeiter den besonderen Anlass und überraschte uns mit einer liebevollen Geste: Eine kleine Torte wurde in Windeseile vorbereitet, das Licht im Saal wurde gedimmt, und das Kind bekam eine kleine Torte mit Kerze (vom Haus) - ein unvergesslicher Moment voller Freude! Die Atmosphäre ist familiär und herzlich. Man fühlt sich willkommen und umsorgt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Nach dem Essen gibt es jedes Mal noch eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit vom Haus – eine schöne Geste, die das Gesamterlebnis abrundet. Fazit: Ein Ort, an dem man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

You immediately feel at home. The service is extremely friendly and very attentive. It's particularly noteworthy that the staff takes their time with your order and doesn't appear rushed or impatient – ​​a difference from many other restaurants. Our visit was spontaneous – we wanted to go out to dinner for our child's birthday without a reservation. Towards the end of our stay, one of the staff members noticed the special occasion and surprised us with a loving gesture: A small cake was prepared in a flash, the lights in the dining room were dimmed, and the child received a small cake with a candle (made by the house) – an unforgettable moment full of joy! The atmosphere is informal and warm. You feel welcome and cared for. The value for money is also impressive across the board. After each meal, there's always a small gift from the house – a lovely gesture that rounds off the overall experience. In summary: A place where you feel completely at home. Highly recommended.

We sat outside on the terrace for dinner. The pizzas and calzones were very good. A cozy atmosphere and very attentive service staff. I highly recommend it.

Gestern Abend habe ich Essen geholt, eine Pizza und Spaghetti Bolognese. Die Bewertungen waren so gut, dass ich dachte, ich wage es. Wir sind hier im Urlaub und wollten in unserer FeWo essen. Also, die Pizza war unterirdisch, wer 3 cm trockenen Rand gerne mag, gut. Der Belag war sehr sehr überschaubar. Unten drunter teilweise verbrannt, das Gleiche am Rand, aufgeplatzte Luftblasen, die verbrannt waren. Die Spaghetti Bolognese war einfach nur trocken. Vielleicht haben wir einen schlechten Tag des Kochs erwischt, aber wir werden es kein 2. Mal ausprobieren.

Pizzeria Moderna “Der Neue Löwe” – style, atmosphere and warmth in a perfect combination. We are regulars at this wonderful restaurant and come regularly for dinner. The quality of the food is always excellent - fresh ingredients, loving preparation and a very special presentation, especially the pizza with its high sides is a real highlight! The staff is attentive, warm and remembers our wishes - be it a special wine selection in an aesthetic glass or individual adjustments to the dishes. We particularly like to order shrimp, pizza or, in the winter, a warm soup. The non-alcoholic cocktails are also highly recommended. The little touches from the house are a nice gesture - a limoncello or a fine coffee dessert round off the visit perfectly. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful terrace, which is covered with blooming wisteria. It's particularly romantic here in spring - the delicate blue flowers fall from the roof like confetti and create a dreamlike, almost fairytale atmosphere. A place with style, excellent organization and a lot of heart - we always like to come back.

Good day, I would like to leave feedback. The place is really beautiful and the food was delicious. However, there was one incident that I found unpleasant. Three of us were there with friends and ordered a pizza and juice together. The waiter was visibly irritated by the small order and asked again. It wasn't hard to see what he was thinking: Why did you even come here if you order so little? – That was very unpleasant. When the pizza was served we were not given any pizza plates. Just because we order a pizza and a juice for three doesn't mean we don't have money. And if a minimum order of €50 is required, this should be clearly communicated in advance. All guests deserve respect – regardless of the size of their order. Thank you.

A nice restaurant and the service is very friendly. The food is very tasty, but it probably had a spice in the tomato sauce that I personally didn't like, but that wasn't a bad thing. When it came to the olive oil (on the table), I asked the waiter if it was olive oil (since from my experience it smelled like olive oil, which it didn't), he smelled it briefly and just said "yes". Which didn't entirely convince me, but I left it at that.

Ate there on Easter Sunday! The food was very good! Rump steak cooked to perfection and tender as butter! The side dishes were also delicious. The only small “criticism”: The announced strawberry tiramisu was more of a strawberry cake ;-) But not that bad! The waiter was also super friendly and accommodating!

We are regular guests. Had reserved a table for Easter Sunday. There was no mention on the phone that there were only two menus. Once lamb and once beef. As a matter of principle, I don't eat meat in a pizzeria, but rather pizza and pasta. Everyone who came was disappointed that they couldn't order pizza/pasta. They were only available for vegetarians or when ordering from outside. We didn't think that was great at all. Were and have been very disappointed with it.

I've never eaten pasta that tastes so bad. Not seasoned at all, the cream was very mushy. In addition, instead of salmon, we were given ham in the pasta. Here you can tell that the chef absolutely cannot cook. The waiters were nice, the ambience may be good, but you go to a restaurant mainly because of the food, otherwise I can boil pasta at home and pour tomato sauce over it. That probably would have tasted even better. 3 dishes 40€ for the bin.

As a family we really enjoy going to the Pizzeria Moderna “Der Neue Lowe” Essen. The food is always exceptionally delicious and simply a poem. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The ambience is sensational. There's nothing to say about the price and you can't complain, the ratio to the performance is perfect. This restaurant is a must. It's our favorite. It is a place of good food and always worth a visit and we cannot imagine life without it. It is wholeheartedly recommended

We made a reservation by phone and were greeted very friendly. The restaurant is modernly furnished and the staff is extremely friendly. The food was fantastic: the pizza had a perfectly crispy edge and was nice and soft on the inside, the salad and main courses were excellent, and the dessert was also delicious. The food is served quickly as the staff quickly takes orders via a tablet. Value for money is excellent and the option to pay by card is a big plus. At the end there was an iced coffee espresso on the house. We are thrilled and would love to come back – so far we have never been disappointed here!

You feel comfortable here and always go home full! I highly recommend the Tagliatelle Leone. The service is always friendly and tries to find a seat spontaneously, even when the guests are full. Thank you for the great food and excellent hospitality. :) See you next time!
